geto and gojo went on that mission together and saved miminana then they graduate and become teachers, toji is working through his gambling addiction and trying to raise megumi and tsumiki with shiu’s help, haibara barely missed a fatal blow on that mission and he and nanami brought the souvenir sweets back, riko and kuroi live in okinawa and are safe, and NOTHING BAD HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THEM.

family
[id: it’s two drawings of Geto Suguru, one with his daughters and one with Gojo. In the first, he is half asleep holding his daughters, Mimiko and Nanako, in either arm. He’s wearing grey sweatpants and is shirtless, showing off criss-cross scars, top scars, and a happy trail. Nanako is in yellow and white pajamas and Mimiko is wearing grey pants and one of Geto’s floral pattern shirts which is clearly way too large for her. In the second drawing, Satoru is kissing Suguru on the cheek with a smile, pulling him in by the waist. Satoru is wearing black briefs while Suguru is wearing his grey sweatpants and a blue sweater that’s Satoru’s. In both drawings, a gold wedding band is visible on Geto's left ring finger. /end id]

the difference between this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and this
Tumblr media
will forever have me in a chokehold.
to think that nanako asking geto who gojo satoru is even promoting him to answer about gojo's strength, and yet even after years after they separated, geto still was the only one who doesn't see/define satoru solely for his strength, but as his best friend (the only one he's had)
bonus:
Tumblr media
imagine miminana being fine with letting things be despite satoru killing suguru. usually getting killed by someone whom you love is seen as betrayal, and yet miminana doesn't see it what way. the way i see it, they know how suguru loves satoru and suguru wouldn't have it any other way (dying by satoru's hand)

The Character Cameos!
I watched the pixel Yuji subway video Shonen Jump released [link at the bottom] and noticed some details. I'm splitting this into 2 or 3 posts. This one is focusing on the characters that show up.
I talk briefly about the ads & posters here!
Spoilers ahead for those who aren't caught up with the manga!
So the video starts off with Yuji riding the subway, which I believe is a reference to the first JJK opening in which he does the same there. During the ride he is joined by Satoru, Megumi and Nobara. Along the way, there are some cameos by some of the cast.
Ueno Stop - Toge, Panda and Maki
Yurakucho - Kento Nanami
Tokyo - Todo, Mai and Miwa
Harajuku - Momo, Noritoshi and Mechamaru
Shibuya - Hasaba Twins
Yoyogi - Principal Yaga
Shinjuku - Choso, Yuki and Hiromi

Here's the video!!

i can’t recall when exactly i’d seen it, but there was this argument that some have said about mimiko and nanako: that they agreed with geto’s end-goal and wholeheartedly supported it.
but i’ve always been under the impression that they followed him because he was their savior, not necessarily because they wanted to enact revenge on non-sorcerers (though they would’ve had valid reason to dislike them). i saw their hatred towards non-sorcerers as something they learned from geto (or at least, it was exacerbated by geto), as well as their capacity to kill with no remorse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but then i also remembered these panels.
Tumblr media
“master geto’s story has come to an end.”
you would think that out of all of them, mimiko and nanako would be hellbent on continuing his legacy, to finish what he couldn’t. yes, perhaps the body should be laid to rest—but you would think that they’d share that same passion, a hatred that “runs in the family.”
if anything, though, these panels tell me that geto was and had always been the most important thing to them. following his ideals was just a means to closer proximity to him. they loved him—if one day he decided to stop in his tracks and end his campaign to annihilate, they would’ve followed along, too. happily, no questions asked. because they loved him, not his ideals. because they loved him, not the idea of revenge. they needed him to show them, to learn. “a moral compass.”
they were children who wanted more than anything to be seen by their father.
of course, we’ll have to fill in the blanks a little. humor me: i’m sure that as the closest people to him in their found-family, mimiko and nanako had first-hand accounts of his headspace, or at least they’d see the cracks in his facade during the times he’d accidentally let his guard down, from fatigue or overthink. witnessing his weakness, his time of vulnerability, must’ve made them feel as if they were somewhat responsible for his mental state. i know children can get like that sometimes.

If this episode didn't solidify how Kenjaku and Geto Suguru are two different people, I don't know what will.
The flashbacks in this episode (and episodes before) even gives off different vibes.
Tumblr media
This flashback Kenjaku is laying a plan about how Yuji should be consuming Sukuna's fingers. Not casual talk, no closeness, nothing. Here, Kenjaku talks about Yuji like he's just a tool, just a vessel.
And if you know the connection between Kenjaku and Yuji then it's even more like "Okay, wow".
But then you get this flashback here.
Tumblr media
This feels more wholesome, more sincere. Suguru is having quality time with Nanako and Mimiko, twins that he rescued and raised and pretty much served as his breaking point with non-sorcerers.
Nanako asked about Satoru and Suguru responds with even a smile on his face about him.
Compared even the color palettes of the flashbacks!! Jogo's flashback of Kenjaku is like reds and oranges and with a dingy tone to it.
The flashback with the twins and Suguru is blues and all bright.
This just reminds me of how Kenjaku and Suguru acts around their company. (Something I thought about while working on another post I should finish...)
Kenjaku plays games and go out to restaurants and playgrounds with the other curses, but it feels faked to me. Because then Kenjaku will spew out something pertaining to a plan or it's calculating. Like, take the scene when Choso found out about Kechizu and Eso. Kenjaku was more interested that Choso could feel their deaths and not the fact they actually died. Keep in mind of Kenjaku's connections with the Death Paintings.
Then look at the little scenes we do have with Suguru and his group. He didn't mind leaving to go get crepes when Nanako mentions it despite how he feels being around non-sorcerers. It's canon that while he prefers to have little contact with non-sorcerers as possible, he doesn't pressure the others to do the same. He takes pictures. He refers to his group as his family.
Like, see the difference?
Again, this episode is just another example that Kenjaku and Suguru are two different people.
