Sadly, I think HSHQ method has always been a copy of TS's one, which is a shame. I think they have always wanted to make each album about a different beard, even if it didn't work out that way in the end.

If we look back at at Harry's albums it was like:

- HS1: Carolina was supposed to be about Townes, Only Angel was supposed to be about Kendall and Two Ghosts they tried to make it about Taylor (I know Harry denied it, but they still run that story in the press and most people still think it's about her)

- Fine Line: Camille (they specially marketed cherry and falling to be about her)

- HsH: Cinema about Olivia (and just like the other anon that talked about the Zane interview said, I think they wanted to make the whole album about her but backtracked because of the blacklash)

- HS4: probably songs about Olivia (maybe one about a tattoo) and the others are suppossed to be about TR

Like, if you look back at it I think they actually did try to make each album about one or more woman, specially after Fine Line, and they would have made HsH entirely about Olivia if she hadn't start acting like a mad woman. The TS' method has always been HSHQ strategy in my opinion, which is sad because I really think it's disgusting and also diminishes Harry's talent by having to make everything he does about a woman. This is the reason most of people who are not fans mostly see Harry just like another dude who only cares about women. It's sad, because Harry is such an interesting person that deserves to be known for his talent and not for gossip bullsh*t.

Ugh, i hate that your're right. Even if they didn’t intentionally plan that narrative, you know they loved that the fandom made the connection. I just remembered the leaked harry songs clearly meant to be about TS too. Yikes.

You'd think when he reached a certain level of fame that they'd let him write songs and make an album without diminishing it like that. Spinning yet another fake narrative about how the album is about a dull beard to give it press.

I'm not sure if he's going to imply that the songs are about O. The reactions to that stunt wasn't very good. I'm not sure that would go down well. But beard number 35? Maybe.

I just want to stop having second hand embarrasment over the things Harry tm does. Take a break dude.

Lyric Similarities:

The song title is a direct quote from Disney’s The Little Mermaid which came out in 1989.

Synopsis: “A mermaid princess makes a Faustian bargain in an attempt to become human and win a prince's love.” aka Ariel gives up her voice to be with the one she loves.

Ariel is 16 in the movie and Taylor has referenced that age multiple times:

Well, I was sixteen when suddenly I wasn’t that little girl you used to see” - Mary's Song (Oh My My My)

“I’m crazier for you than I was at sixteen, lost in a film scene” - Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince

“Teal was the color of your shirt when you were sixteen at the yogurt shop” - invisible string

There is another quote from The Little Mermaid that is very reminiscent of cardigan.

The Little Mermaid: "Teenagers. They think they know everything.” cardigan: "When you are young they assume you know nothing"

Taylor has previously dressed up as Ariel at a 2019 New Year's Eve party where they had to dress up as their childhood heroes.

As TTPD promo, she has been hiding words in old songs. The first word is "hereby" which can also be seen in the contract Ariel signs.

Some people think Harry Styles has something to do with the song due to the fact that Harry wore a shirt with the same Little Mermaid quote back in 2020.

(We would need to know the time the song was written to know for sure because currently it just looks like a coincidence. Taylor has only stated a timeline of 2022-2023 for these songs. But as of 4/15 there are no signs.)

Do you think that HL are friends or on friendly terms with their beards? I always assumed that Louis didn’t click with Danielle and Harry looked miserable around Olivia. But I see nowadays even larries find Louis and Danielle cute and think they were friends and I wonder if I’m projecting my frustrations on them and they indeed are good friends?

No, i don't think they are friends with the beards. I think they're friendly with them (they try to at least...) and they treat them like they would a work colleague. It's purely professional. I think the less serious the relationship, the less stunting and the shorter the relationship is the better they get on with the beard. H and Cara Delevigne seemed to get along fine as an example.

If you look at it from L and H's point of view, all these beards are hired by their team and label (or Sony). The beards work for the oppressor and are willing to fake a relationship for money/PR with an unwilling partner with no choice (and maybe no say in anything). They must resent these beards so much. They also got nothing in common with these women most of the time. L must have hated being linked to a tory. L didn’t get along with E most of the time and H seems to dislike his partners more and more as the relationship progresses (ie TS and O).

Louis seemed to get along fine with D to me, better than he did with E, so i think that's why people like D. I don't think you're projecting your frustrations at all. Bearding is not cute. Being so desperate for attention that you're willing to be papped topless isn't cute. They're not good friends at all, they've got nothing in common except for the fact that both needed PR. But i don't think that bearding relationships ended on a sour note, so maybe that's why people got the impression that they're friends.

I will say, that i understand people liking L around women, even larries. It's due to him having zero public female friendships and fans are desperate to see him interact with females who're not all about toxic masculinity. Louis acts more normal and himself around women than men (no need to act tough) so i get wanting him to strike up friendships with female celebrities. I do too. Just not the beards. They can fuck off.
