So I just wtched the new Helluva Boss episode and I FUCKIN LOVE IT!

This was so adorable. THIS WHOLE EPISODE I WANTED WHAT THEY HAVE!

Fizz was my favorite character this whole episode.

I KNEW THEY WERE GONNA WORK TOGETHER!

This background was os beautiful I swear.

YES! WORRIED AND ANGRY ASMODEUS!

I nearly cried cause of this! Like I knew he lost his limbs in the fire but I didn't know it was that brutal.

I don't have enough storage for screenshots so I'll just explain a few scenes.

When Striker held a knife up to Fizz's neck I was like "Striker... I simp for you're voice. BUT UF YOU HURT HIM I SWEAR!"

When Blitz and Fizzaroli hugged I was all tearing up!

Fizz and Asmodeus are so adorable! They are so wholesome and cute and when Asmodeus said he didn't care if anyone saw them together my heart melted.

Also I find it cool how Asmodeus has back up arms and let's for Fizz

Overall 10/10 episode! I love it!♥️

It just occurred to me that Fizz may not be ABLE to quit. Allow me to explain.

In Oops, literally one episode ago, we learned that a business deal and/or contract made with a sin is, and I quote; "everlastingly binding". The context in which Stolas says this makes it clear that even the sin in question can't back out of the deal.

Given that Mammon almost certainly made Fizzarolli sign some sort of contract after, or even by winning the clown pageant for the first time, there's a good chance that even if Mammon wanted too, there would be no way for him and Fizz to get out of their business arrangement.

I haven't seen anyone else point this out but I think this is the exact reason Mammon seemed so sure he'd get the last laugh before making his exit.

Blitzo's Hallucination Scene

Blitzo's dream reveals much about his psyche along with why he acts the way he does...

Take note of how Verosika treats Blitzo. Striker and Fizzaroli throw around and mock him for his loneliness, while she crawls towards him and calls him out for pushing away those that get close, at most grabbing his face for emphasis. This hints heavily that Verosika really loved Blitzo and Blitzo knew, but then he sabotaged the relationship.

The hallucinations of Striker, Fizzaroli, and Verosika speak with Blitzo's voice rather than those of their voice actors. Blitzo is criticizing himself for his own insecurities and toxic behavior.

Adding to the above, Moxxie's voice is unchanged, but his body flickers between his normal art style and the crude drawing style Blitzo's used in the past. While the other hallucinations speak to Blitzo's insecurities about himself, Moxxie just blathers on in fancy language without really saying anything of value. Much as Blitzo wants to think that that's how Moxxie is, he knows it isn't true, hence the flickering between real and unreal. Also, why is Moxxie phasing in and out of Blitzo's drawing style? Looks like Blitzo is still upset about Moxxie criticizing his art skills...

None of Blitzo's family shows up during the hallucination, not even his disapproving father who would presumably be a big source of Blitzo's insecurity. That's because his interactions with Robo-Fizz, Verosika, and Striker were all very recent, meaning that the emotional wounds they inflicted were still fresh in Blitzo's mind. Not to mention that the Truth Bomb gas dissipates fairly quickly. It's possible that it could have dredged up Blitzo's family had it lingered for longer.

Blitzo's mind is drenched in mud. Aside from signifying how Blitzo feels lower than dirt, mud in dreams symbolizes insecurity, uncertainty, and an inability to find your footing. All things that Blitzo has been struggling with. The mud disappears once Stolas arrives, though some of it coats the staircase for a little longer. Stolas is a reassuring presence in Blitzo's life on some level, but Blitzo still isn't one hundred percent sure if he will stick around.

Blitzo climbs the golden stairs to get away from Fizzaroli, Verosika, and Striker only to see Stolas waiting at the top, being fanned by two clones of himself. Rather than run in another direction, Blitzo keeps climbing, almost crawling towards him. The clown outfit that Blitzo had been wearing is replaced by his normal outfit, but golden chains form around his wrists and neck, led by a chain pulled by Stolas.

This single scene explains so much about Stolas and Blitzo's relationship to one another; Blitzo gained a new life and dignity (the clothes) thanks to Stolas, but his entire assassination business is now dependent on Stolas' grimoire, making Blitzo feel trapped (the chains) under the owl's whims. Stolas might actually be in love with Blitzo, but because of this dynamic, Blitzo feels like it's nothing more than a master toying with their pet. It also explains why Blitz seemed so reluctant to be near Stolas in the past: his self-deprecation and tendency to push people away makes him believe that once Stolas grows bored of him, he'll discard him and he'll lose everything, so he doesn't want to get attached.

The fact that Stolas was initially concieved as a villain is somewhat hilarious.

Because, if we consider just his pilot appearance, where he's got a snobbish tone, a threatening aura and even subtly sharper features compared to his current design, it's very noticeable that was the intention.

His eyes are always slinted and sharp, and his heart face is devoid of any idea of softness.

Now, with that in mind... we see Stolas NOW, and... Well...

Stolas is ultimately a very different character from his pilot days: while still dangerous and sometimes casually condecending, that threatening aura is just not there anymore, and no one in good coscience could mistake him for a villain. He's very much a loving father and a romantic dork now, who may fumble hard, but has his heart in the right place.

Even his facial features are softer: his eyes are still almond shaped, but are a lot rounder, and his face now resembles more clearly a heart.

I personally think this makes him very compelling, but I can understand the fact that, for some, it's an incredibly huge change.

The conclusion to all of this, for me, is that it's incredible how much a character can change from their original idea to a completely different being and you still can tell by very small changes to their designs.

As per usual this episode of Helluva boss got me messed up.

Man these really hurt, you can tell that Blitz and Stolas really haven't been together since Ozzies.

Stolas really doesn't want to bother Blitz he's worried about pushing him too far, and Blitz just thinks he doesn't care.

It's too painful.

I hope Blitz does decide to visit him in the hospital at least.
