Hello! Can I request a short hurt/comfort fic where Adam and the reader get into an argument? Y/n is his third wife and they both love each other dearly, but of course, fights can happen even to the best of couples. What if the reader got tired of arguing with her husband and decides to walk off during said argument, and when Adam angrily asks her, “Where the fuck you think you're going?!” she tells him, "I'm leaving". WOO OKAY!! it's like... it's one of those things where i feel so strongly about it and it's still such a relatively new idea that i feel like whenever i try to talk about it all that comes out is "OUGH.... AND THEN HE. HE. A HEEM HEEM" which is really not helpful to anyone. but i will make the attempt!

so like... i think that lawrence has probably never felt SUPER comfortable in the role set out for him at birth. he was a tender-hearted, sweet, thoughtful kid, and his nurturing/protective nature probably got him labeled as a sissy pretty early on. i think that him deciding to be a doctor so early in life happened because he saw that people liked and respected doctors, so it was like... a socially acceptable, "masculine" way for lawrence to do what he loves doing, which is healing and helping people.

i think that lawrence realized pretty early in life that he didn't like women the way he was "supposed to" and that he only felt that way about men, but it being the 70s-80s, that realization terrified him, because it had Ramifications for the rest of his life and CERTAINLY didn't fit in with the life plan set out for him (finish med school, be a doctor, make parents proud, get a wife and have kids, etc). so he figures that the reason he's always felt such a disconnect with his gender is because he's gay, decides he can't do anything about being gay, and decides to just repress and suppress and box the whole mess away. it even works, at least for awhile!!

ANYWAYS then the events of the movie happen, lawrence gets divorced, lawrence is enamored with and awed and inspired by adam. lawrence's understanding of trans people is... barebones and a little informed by the time in which he grew up, but he's got the desire to learn, because if everything that lawrence has been told about being gay is wrong, then what ELSE has he been incorrectly told? and adam, who is and has been his own fiercest advocate since day one, is happy to teach him. and really, it's listening to adam talk about the disconnect that he felt as a kid from his assigned gender, and how adam feels about his manhood and masculinity, that brings lawrence's own gender feelings into relief. (i got more into that here in this ask!)

to be honest, i think once lawrence realizes that he's agender, he probably doesn't tell a ton of people-- he's very private and doesn't exactly have a ton of friends. plus, factoring in the publicity of being a jigsaw survivor, i think lawrence would feel like it was already MORE than enough that the whole damn metro suddenly knows that he's gay. adam knows, of course, both because he's the one who helped lawrence figure it out and because he's lawrence's boyfriend, and i think lawrence would eventually tell alison. he feels like she deserves to know for the sake of their ongoing friendship/mutual understanding, but i also feel like lawrence would want alison to know as like... sort of an explanation, almost, for some of his missteps in their marriage. like "hey, i'm not making an excuse for myself, i just want you to know that this is what i was grappling with," kind of. alison appreciates the honesty and the extra context! when she gets old enough to understand it, i think lawrence would tell diana, too-- which he would absolutely be shitting bricks over, only by the time diana's old enough to talk about it, mainstream culture has started to cotton on to the whole "more than two genders" thing, so the conversation actually goes MUCH easier than lawrence had built it up in his head. as far as other people, mileage varies depending on whether or not lawrence ends up an apprentice/who else survives or dies-- in settings where they're close, i could see him telling amanda and lynn, but i don't think he would want hoffman or john to know in ANY universe.

K'oto has cried very few times in the story I can count it on my hands probably. Haurchefant. Estinien waking up at the end of HW. Probably once or twice during SB bc going home to doma and seeing the absolute state of everything was a nightmare. DYING GASP. Elpis. Having his memories restored by Hydealyn. Ultima Thule Estinien and G'raha. The Big One. so I'd say he's not much for crying unless it comes to like. extreme tragedy and things happening to the people he loves </3

Eme is. a pretty average crier I'd say? whatever that means honestly i know i said it but hgsjsd....she tends to cry when she's frustrated and will also tear up at cute/sweet things <3 she is very weak to romance stuff so whenever Urianger whips out some big show of affection she is absolutely going to be bringing the waterworks :)

Eme loves hot tea! #1 and closests to my heart, is Fathers and Daughters

You can tell I was mentally ill about it, because I'm forever struggling to finish WIPs, the ADHD constantly going "Oooh shiny new idea? Just take a break, this will be a one shot" only to lie to me, or do it X times in a row. But not with F&D. I stayed glued on to that one.

Yeah I had a couple long hiatus, but I'm finally working on the last chapter and I can tell you I'm going to be taking myself out to dinner to congratulate lol

I passed 100k words!!! I never thought I'd manage. I don't think I'll ever manage again!

#2 Then the dreadful night shall break

A Dark!Obi-Wan fic. I had for a long time this back and forth with a friend, where we kept gifting each other more and more tortured Star Wars fics. So I originally made this a one shot focusing on the horrors of sleep deprivation (from first hand experience…) and how it might break even the kindest of Jedi.

Things snowballed and got out of hand, and it turned into what I think is my best Star Wars story. It's also titled after a line in Cradle Song by William Blake. I am weirdly obsessed with naming fics from his poems. Only him. IDK why.

#3 Never Too Late

Another SW story but on the other end of the spectrum, focusing on H/C. Set right after Episode 1, with Obi-Wan reaching out to Dooku, who hasn't turned to the dark yet. It's my second most kudoed fic ever after the 100k words one, so you know I was cooking and people liked the taste of it.

In general I love writing reluctant father figures, and Dooku - Obi - Anakin, at that time and place, are like the holy trifecta of reluctant daddies lol

#4 For Always

My Elden Ring masterpiece and foray into Monsterfucking. I was very sauced for "pubber" Maliketh the Black Blade, even before I played the game. I owe a lot to my friend Spiced for this one--without them there wouldn't be much fucking in this fic! I just like tragic hee-heem-whimper men and Maliketh is that but also with a broken mind, rags, a raspy voice, and paws large enough to make a doll out of us sooooooooooo…..

The irony is that this story has some of my most purple and stuffy prose, despite how horny I make it out to be. I really enjoyed this writing style.

Would you stay with him, henceforth? Would you cast away your humanity, sacrifice your mortality to give him companionship? Would you twine your fate to his? How you'd laughed, naive little thing, telling him that it was no sacrifice. You hadn't known better then, and he, a god, knew even less. He kissed you and licked at your throat. He felt you shiver and asked once more if you truly wanted this. You wanted him and immortality at his side seemed close enough. So you said yes, and he clamped his jaws down on your throat and killed you—one last time.

The sauce stings my eyes to this day. This is the good shit. I wish I could brainrot on characters like this at will.

#5....

This one is impossible to pin down. I have stories where I'm really proud of the writing. Stories where, like the one above, I still really taste the sauce, and the dynamic really appeals to me. Got plenty like that which would easily fit in 5th place. I could also mention the ones I still have very much on the fire, simmering even if they haven't updated in a while.

Fuck it. I'll go for Chosen.

A one shot I wrote while in Florence, often sitting out on a little balcony… It was such a nice place and such a sweet time… And I packed the story with these (bitter) sweet feelings and tried to explore what would happen with Anakin died killing Grievous, leaving Obi-Wan lost, and Ahsoka fearing nobody will chose to take her on again.

It also has some of my favourite prose ever, in the way I wrote (for the second and better time) the backstory of major blorbo Taron Malicos. Nobody ever cares about this bit but I think it's the best part of the fic LOL

if someone (or something) he cares about is in danger he Will always (furiously) leap into danger after them to try to help. he's kind of impulsive :)

🔪 KNIFE - how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?

Very broody. nothing makes him fret more than someone he loves getting hurt so he will hover and make a nuisance of himself until they're better <3 (he's actually decent about not blaming himself if he knows there wasn't anything he could do. a world first)

THE UNDEAD CINDERELLA PLOT IS LIKE. MY FRIEND WHOM I TOLD ABOUT THIS WENT FROM "it will be so disappointing if they turned the fairy into a hot guy and made him a love interest for cinderella" TO "OH THAT WAS CUTE AND SWEET"

because like the thing is that the fairy (named hazel) is like ALWAYS SO KIND AND GENTLE to cinderella... he's horrified to learn about her being abused and he's constantly going "you didn't deserve to be treated like that" and "how can you be so kind to people who hurt you?" at her

he refuses to let cinderella be self-depreciating or serve him the same way she does her family... he goes out of his way to help her and heal her... he tells her that she deserves to enjoy herself and have fun and wear beautiful dresses... and cinderella always appreciates his kindness and thanks him and tries to repay him but he refuses things like "please let me shine your shoes!"

i think it's important to mention that it is literally a game mechanic for hazel to talk to cinderella about things she likes. at first cinderella can only think to talk about cleaning but as the game goes on she starts talking about how she wanted to eat the food at the ball and how she loves pretty dresses and hairstyles and hazel is always like "you can eat the food again, you have another chance" and teaching her about makeup. as the game goes on and their relationship gets closer the dialogue gets flirtier too. cinderella can talk about how beautiful the women at the ball were and hazel will go "you're prettier"... they can talk about how chocolate used to be used as a love potion and then blush at each other

the good ending of one path is like. cinderella decide she doesn't want to go back to the ball and hazel asks what she wants to do. she wonders what she can do, because she can't go back home...

and then hazel blushes for the first time in the entire game as he asks if she would go with him.

and she accepts.

because she loves and appreciates him! she says to him that she was so scared of losing her parents' home and the memories of her parents that she turned her mother's words of "be kind" into "accept whatever abuse is thrown your way with a smile" so she wouldn't be thrown out... but hazel changed that.

hazel reminded her that there was a time she was "ella" instead of "cinderella"... that she deserves kindness... and she loves him and wants to be around him...

and she gets excited to go on a trip in the pumpkin carriage and she talks about how she wants to go to a tropical island

and hazel's like "we can't get there by carriage... but, let's go there anyways if it'll make you happy."
