SHOW ME YOUR 3D STUFF RIGHT NOW I BEG?!!
It's mostly just ghoul masks and small costume bits right now (grucifixes, the buttons on Papa IV and the Impera ghoul jackets, those things) as far as Ghost stuff goes, and a small collection of hcs for ghoul horns, so there's really nothing quite impressive or very interesting yet...
(kinda image heavy warning you now lol)
At one point I was working on a full body model for I think Primo?
But as you can see I had (and still don't) have a grasp at modeling cloth... uhhh that one was like 2 years ago and I'd like to go back and either redo it entirely or start fixing it at some point...
I'd forgotten I'd started modeling the Fantomen guitars right before the Impera tour started. Then I found out Dew was playing an entirely different guitar and I kinda just gave up on it...
I also did the Papa IV Caligula coin but I hated it and never did anything with it.
Oh, and, totally unrelated to Ghost, is my final for a 3D class I took at the beginning of this summer and I still really like how it came out.

I really like my lil moth dude, it was a very fun project.
There's other stuff too I just haven't really gone through all my files in a long while... and honestly most of the stuff I've modeled recently has just been redoing my earlier ghoul masks because I did a horrific job on my original models and they needed remaking so they could print better... and also like, be a wearable piece... I was not smart and did not use a headform when I made my original Meliora and Prequelle masks, so the proportions and sizing were so off but I've finally fixed them properly and am working on a full-size ghoulette mask atm.
#I have spent more hours working in zbrush that I can contemplate#and I still barely know wtf I'm doing#I just brute force everything till it does what I want not a recommended strategy lol#answered

Plural culture is being sure you have lots of non introjects around, but end up focusing a lot on the ones that do front semi frequently cause its much easier to figure them out rather them out rather that headformed headmates (Us non introjects have also generally been struggling with our identities due to this and I dont think anyone is all that mad at eachother cause we get it,,,).

i noticed some people in the notes of this post are having trouble understanding this proposal which is understandable as it can be challenging to read technical documents like this, so i'm going to give a rundown of what this document is proposing and which vehicles it affects.
purpose of the proposal
the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA) is suggesting a new safety rule for cars and light trucks (up to 10,000 pounds) to reduce the risk of head injuries to pedestrians if they’re hit by these vehicles. this rule would require certain design features to make vehicle hoods safer for both children and adults who might be struck.
who It affects: this proposed rule applies to passenger cars, light trucks (like pickups), SUVs (the vehicle that killed my sister was an SUV, and passenger cars such as SUVs account for the most pedestrian deaths alongside other light trucks), vans, and small buses. vehicles over 10,000 pounds, like large trucks, are excluded. i'm seeing people saying this is too high since a lot of pickup trucks exceed 10,000 lbs, and i agree, hopefully this is just the beginning in a series of regulations. however, this doesn't give a great sense of what kind of trucks are included. most personal pickup trucks are class 1 or 2, this means they are under 10,000 pounds. some examples of trucks of these classes are the chevorlet colorado (class 1), ford f1-150 (class 2a), and thrillingly, the cybertruck (class 2b) would be subject to these regulations.
what the rule requires: vehicles would need to pass tests that show they can reduce the force of head impacts when a pedestrian’s head hits the hood. this means the vehicle design needs to absorb some of the impact to prevent severe head injuries.
test procedures: the proposal sets up testing methods that simulate pedestrian head impacts with the vehicle’s hood. these tests are performed with two types of “headforms” that replicate the weight and structure of a child’s and an adult's head, aiming to simulate real-world crash scenarios at a vehicle speed of 25 mph, which covers about 70% of pedestrian collisions.
performance requirements: vehicles would need to meet specific “head injury criteria” (HIC) to ensure the head impacts do not exceed certain force levels, helping prevent severe head trauma. this is measured by testing areas of the hood where a pedestrian’s head is most likely to strike.
compliance timeline: if the rule is finalized, manufacturers would have to comply starting two years after the final rule’s publication, with an extra year for specific vehicle builders (like those modifying pre-existing vehicles).
current vehicle exemptions: the rule would not cover large trucks and some vans with very short front hoods due to practical challenges in testing. a new test would need to be devised for these types of vehicles. however, NHTSA is considering including short-hood vehicles in the future.
related technologies: NHTSA also considers this rule part of a larger safety effort, which includes automatic emergency braking systems that can detect pedestrians and apply brakes to avoid collisions.
in essence, this proposal seeks to set a mandatory standard for pedestrian safety features on cars and light trucks, making them safer for pedestrians without requiring drivers or consumers to make any changes on their end.
your comment does not need to be long or professionally-worded, anything will do. however, if you need a jumping off point/don't have the time to write one i'm providing a template below. comments are due november 18th.:
"I am writing in strong support of this proposed rule, [I am deeply concerned about pedestrian safety in my community/I have seen firsthand the impact of pedestrian injuries/I lost a loved one in a pedestrian crash/I have had close calls myself when walking in my neighborhood.] The current design of many vehicles, particularly large trucks and SUVs, places pedestrians at serious risk. This is a common-sense ruling that could make a life-saving difference. I appreciate the effort to prioritize the safety of all road users, and I hope this rule will be implemented to help create safer, more walkable communities."
IF YOU LIVE IN THE US AND WOULD RATHER NOT DIE FROM BEING HIT BY A CAR
please submit a comment on the NHTSA proposal to implement pedestrian safety test requirements for cars and trucks!!
It would finally make manufacturers design vehicles that are safer for pedestrians and cyclists, instead of the massive wall-of-steel front ends that are excessively deadly for no reason. Europe already has rules like this, but unless we comment in approval, they're not going to do anything to halt the increasing pedestrian deaths in our country.
And please share, even if you don't live in the US!

SHARP Helmet Testing: Moto Central's Perspective

At Moto Central, rider safety is at the forefront of our mission. As one of the UK’s leading motorcycle helmet retailers, we’re dedicated to providing top-quality helmets alongside expert advice to help riders make informed decisions. A key part of this involves assessing the Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme (SHARP), a system designed to evaluate helmet safety.
While SHARP offers valuable insights into helmet performance, it’s not without its limitations. Here, we’ll explore its purpose, testing methods, strengths, and criticisms, giving you a balanced view to help guide your helmet choices.
What is SHARP?
Launched in 2007 by the UK Department for Transport, SHARP was introduced to complement the ECE 22.05 standard (now updated to ECE 22.06). Unlike basic pass-or-fail certifications, SHARP uses a star rating system, from 1 to 5, to help riders identify helmets that go beyond minimum safety requirements.
SHARP was influenced by the COST 327 report, a 2001 European study into helmet safety. However, deviations from this report’s recommendations have led to criticism, particularly regarding SHARP’s testing methods.
The Strengths of SHARP
Beyond Basic Certification
ECE standards provide a safety baseline but don’t distinguish between helmets offering superior protection. SHARP bridges this gap by comparing helmets and awarding star ratings, helping riders make more informed decisions.
Importance of Fit and Comfort
SHARP recognises that even a high-rated helmet won’t perform if it doesn’t fit properly. Poorly fitted helmets increase the risk of detachment in crashes, highlighting the need for secure sizing.
Life-Saving Potential
According to SHARP, if all riders used highly rated helmets, around 50 lives could be saved each year. This underscores the importance of considering SHARP ratings when purchasing a helmet.
Criticisms of SHARP
Testing Methods
SHARP uses solid headforms rather than biometric ones, which better mimic the human head. Critics argue that this limits the accuracy of SHARP’s results and makes them less representative of real-world impacts.
Lack of Industry Agreement
SHARP’s scoring system wasn’t developed with input from independent experts or industry-wide consensus, leading to doubts about the validity of its ratings.
Surprising Results
Some budget helmets have received five-star ratings, while premium brands have scored lower. This raises questions about whether SHARP’s methodology favours certain designs, such as heavy thermoplastic edge mouldings.
Limited Relevance
Many helmet manufacturers consider SHARP to be a UK-centric system with little global significance. Some even disregard it entirely due to perceived flaws in its approach.
SHARP Testing Process
SHARP’s testing process involves several key steps:
Helmet Selection: Models are purchased independently to ensure unbiased testing.
Impact Testing: Helmets are tested at various points, replicating real-world crash scenarios.
Modular Helmet Testing: Chin bar mechanisms are assessed and scored for durability.
Star Ratings: Data is condensed into a star rating, indicating the level of protection offered.
However, SHARP doesn’t test for noise levels, chin strap safety, or puncture resistance, leaving certain safety aspects unaddressed.
A Balanced Approach to Helmet Selection
At Moto Central, we believe SHARP ratings are a helpful tool, but they should be considered alongside other factors:
Fit: A secure fit is the most important aspect of helmet safety.
Comfort: A comfortable helmet reduces fatigue and improves focus, especially on long rides.
Quality: Premium helmets often feature superior materials and rigorous in-house testing that may go beyond what SHARP measures.
While SHARP has room for improvement, it’s a valuable resource for riders seeking additional guidance. Ultimately, the best helmet is one that fits well, feels comfortable, and offers confidence in its protection.

The title card alone is a tipoff that this isn't at all in good faith because whenever people wanna pitch the FURS ARE WEIRDOES angle they always opt for the wonkiest looking budget suits and heads. But this is the first time I've actually seen them go so far as to use a foam headform with its fur covering stripped off to maximize the uncanniness.
when will it end..... when will we be free......

Mmm nothing like my brain cooking up a fresh nightmare to let me know that I don't want to go home 😌
Like thanks brain I already knew that I'm dreading having to go home for the summer, you didn't need to tell me by showing me coming home and seeing all of my taxidermy pieces immediately start decaying and looking so beyond horrific that I can barely even describe just how terrifying they looked right now.
#god that was so much like victor's nightmare after the creature awoke#started out fairly ok with me being with my partner except something was very clearly off about it#then i showed up at home and just#all of the pieces i own i find in my room in various stages of literal decay#with the headforms all majorly screwed up#on some of them the skin rotted off the headform and the forms themselves were deformed and for some reason had huge human teeth?#the eyes had fallen out of most of them and on one piece thats not even a real thing i own i walked up to it and the eyes fell into my hand#pieces had shrunk down leaving the full length of wire armature behind#and even the pieces i had brought to school with me which i knew were find just moments before+#instantly started to decompose the moment i came into the house and were ruined#and then i woke up absolutely terrified until i realized that I'm fine#my foxes and my lynx are fine#everything is fine - my brain just had fo reiterate that home is hell and we dont want to go back there#tw taxidermy#tw decomposing#tw teeth#tw decomposition#tw rot#tw rotting#tw decay#tw decaying#ramblings of an abhorred creator

little fun fact about me: I'm super invested into mythical creatures, especially celtic ones. my favorite are probably kelpies tho
so in a spontaneous burst of confident, I decided to post my kelpie art that I drew a while back. Including:

a kelpie in disguised form with his buddy

A kelpie living in a tunnel, also the only pic I ever drew with a complete background and I will never do it again

and some concept art of different Kelpie bridles little explanation for the one with a veil: it is said, that you can tame a kelpie by putting a bridle or a veil on it, so I thought it was a fun idea to include it in one of the briddles
also, super bummed out, that I didn't manage to get the headforms the same for each of the Kelpies in their disguised and normal from but they are close enough I guess
