The title of the film, Gaeggum, is literally Dog Dreams in English
The article was entitled "The Appearance of Chosun's First Talking Animation, Gaeggum" and it went on to say: "While the names of Mickey Mouse and Betty Boop are known throughout the world, there has not yet been an animated character created in Chosun.

2. Walter Lantz
Walter Lantz got his first break while working as an auto mechanic, where a wealthy customer (Fred Kafka) liked his drawings and financially supported him to study at the 'Art Students League of New York' and land a job as a copy boy at the New York American.
A major influence for him was Winsor McCay. He worked as an animator for William Hearst's animation company which produces animated films based on successful newspaper comics. He later became an assistant-director, animator and scriptwriter at John Bray's cartoon studio where he worked on Colonel Heeza Liar and Dinky Doodle. Lantz came up with the idea of combining the animation with live-action while creating Dinky Doodle.
Lantz came up with the his majorly popular character Woody Woodpecker while on his honeymoon, where he heard a woodpecker incessantly pecking on their roof. He used the bird as inspiration and drew the first version of the woodpecker character similar to the early Daffy Duck. The character originally looked rather grotesque and unpleasant but was later remodeled by Lantz artists' into a more appealing character.

!PETIT REPORTER!

Classical to Modern Animation Video: The difference you should know
Animation technology has evolved significantly in the past century and has experienced an enormous change from traditional hand-drawn animation to the modern day computer-assisted animation. The animation is recognized as a powerful communication tool that is extensively used to make an illusion of movement. Animation techniques started with mostly being used in cartoon movies that appeared on televisions and cinemas as a means of entertainment for children. They became popular among the younger children due to its magic to grab the attention of the viewers and keep them engaged for a longer time.
Evolution
1. The Celluloid Shift (1888-1914)
The early animation videos were crudes, made with gadgets that were basic and primitive. The first such system was called the Theatre Optique (invented by Émile Reynaud and patented in 1888). His series of animated films included Pauvre Pierrot and Autour d’une cabine. Each of his films contained 300-700 frames(painted images) to last 10-15 minutes.
2. Traditional Animation Technology (1914-1967)
In traditional Animation history, hand-drawn animation was created in Cel Animation. Cel is a transparent sheet consisting of cellulose nitrate and camphor, used to create hand-drawn objects. Characters were drawn on Cels and superimposed on common background images to reduce the number of frames and production times.
Another animation technique that was commonly used in the traditional era was stop-motion animation. You must have observed the jerks in the movement of objects within film sequences of the era. These are caused because the technique is used to create a perception of movement in the object.
*Fun Fact: Colonel Heeza Liar (1914) was the first animated cartoon series created using this animation technique. The production house was John Bray studios.
3. Motion Graphics (1967-1984)
Despite the fact that few initial CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) were very basic but without any doubt, it changed the manner animation was done. The first computer-generated animation film (Hummingbird) was made with 3000 images and 25 motion sequences generated by a computer.
4. The Golden Era of CGI (1984-2018)
The stop motion technique was succeeded by what we call today as computer animation. Modern computer animation includes both 2D as well as 3D animated graphics which are then put in motion using either frame-by-frame or rigging technique. The technique ensured that films were created and rendered faster, also ensuring that animation was not just used to produce cinema and TV series but also for brand storytelling and web series. The frame by frame animation of 2D characters could now be done entirely on computers. Not only did it make the process less arduous, but it also gave graphic artists more control and they were able to produce content without the use of actors, expensive set pieces or props.
5. Post-2019 - What’s Coming
Brands and content producers are now creating animated videos using the latest technologies such as augmented reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and 360-degree video technology. Virtual reality technologies used in the modern day animations are projected to become more mature, and the future of virtual reality is expected to make the animation status to equal that of live-action sequences.
