HFC 2025 Charity ZeldaThon

Hey all! Long time no chat!

I know its been a while since I've posted, and while I don't normally promote things, this is a channel that has been near and dear to me from the start and I think deserves attention.

HellfireComms (Youtube/Twitch) is a Gaming Commentary channel that does Charity Marathons almost once a year for the Charity Organization Child's Play.

This year, the channel running NTom will be solo running a Zeldathon, playing a variety of games from the beloved Zelda franchise from June 1st to July 10th!

If you would like to hear more about the event NTom talks about it in this video, though the information for dates and the like are out of date, so please check out the updated schedule Here.

I would much appreciate it if people could spread the word, or if you don't wish to support Child's Play for any number of reasons, at the very least check out their channel if you like non-cam gaming content with one or more commentators. NTom and the crew at Hellfirecomms are hardworking people, and I believe they deserve more recognition for their hard work.

Sapphire's need context to help them see the future. If there was a precedence for a Diamond shapeshifting and playing a game as someone else then yeah they could probably put two and two together.

i know, i'm just saying i'm watching the show to chill and i didn't need that kinda "this is a joke but ur brain is gonna call it up every five seconds because you and yours have to be cautious of people having these sort of outbursts bc they could kill you" and my anxiety going "you know those little kids going to temple with you? what if something happened."

Where does Rainbow Quartz 2.0 fall in terms of Seasons? Rebecca let it slip at SDCC, so we know it's coming.

Late season 5, also appears in season 6.

But it’s sort of crazy getting back into KH1 again, now that I’m so into the Buffyverse. Because now when I hear David Boreanaz as Leon, all I think is, “Angel.” LOL

I’m sure people who have loved him as Booth on Bones might have had the same problem.

And I also like him in that role. But I guess I haven’t watched enough of Bones, or am not as obsessed with it as I am Buffy, to have that in my head when I see Leon now. But I know other users might!

Sonic Lost World if SEGA hired a proof-reader (PART 9: Sonic’s darkest hour)

A recurring word in the original dialogue was “revenge”. ...which doesn’t make any sense. The Zeti wanted to take revenge on Eggman, but they had no reason to hold a grudge to Sonic (I know he defeated them in the boss fights, but the Zeti were never actually defeated or humiliated)

In my version, the Zeti want to beat Sonic mentally and phisically in order to make him join them... or kill him trying.

Yep, the scene ends HERE. We’re going to be left wondering how or if Tails would get out of this predicament.

(And who cares if players would feel even more robbed of a Tails boss fight, keeping the suspence is more important)

Now, here’s the most nonsensical scene in the game: Sonic playing with pebbles on a bridge. Even with the original context in mind, it makes no sense.

To quote HellfireComms: “Yes, Sonic, that’s a big drop! You can see it, you don’t need to drop little rocks to see how far it goes down, you can see the lava!”

Well, brace yourself folks, because I managed to find a legitimate reason for Sonic to drop rocks now!

It’s to see if he triggers some traps! Because THAT is what Sonic was supposed to learn after the Tails accident: to slow down, be careful, and pay attention to his surroundings!

This also adds to the imminent “tragedy”: Sonic learnt his lesson, yes, but it’s too late and pointless now: the Zeti attack, and Eggman “sacrifices” himself for Sonic.

(for the sake of pace, I’d like to switch Act 1 and Act 2. So it looks like the Zeti temporarly lost sight of Sonic and found him again after the grind rails level)

Next, the scene that broke me.

No need for changes, moving on.

Sonic still tries to put a facade with his snarky trowbacks, but he’s so emotionally flated by this point, ZOR is the first to see right through him.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: it’s cute when Sonic shows emotions with his ears, but it’s also distracting when the situation is supposed to be really desperate. So, Sonic emoting with just his face is perfect for me.

Now it’s Zeena’s turn to roast Sonic.

(also, it is kind of canon that Zeena finds Tails cute, see how she reacted when she saw him in the capsule)

And now, let’s give Tails a reason for why he didn’t join Sonic in the next battle.

(I wanted a hug darn it) Anyway, Sonic’s immediate instinct is to assign Tails with the task of locating the Eggstractor. Tails’ little gesture with his fist can be seen as him saying “yeah I got this”.

Sonic’s almost hysterical laughs at the end are due to the adrenaline rush and the immense joy of having his best friend back.

So.. i was reading this post made by @hellfirecomms about how the End of and era Book confirms that Steven doesn't like White Diamond.

While i don't think Steven *hates* White Diamond, i agree he's not buddy-buddy with her.

The thing is that you don't need that artwork to confirm that, just take a look to how Steven feels around White and the other Diamonds in the Movie and in Future.

This is his mood at the beggining of the movie when the Diamonds are singing to him "Just let us adore you". It's true that there are many reasons he feels this way: He knows the Diamonds want him to stay because they miss Pink and he also just really wants to return to his home on Earth...

But you can still notice he is quite uncomfortable staying on Homeworld and he wants to leave quickly.

If you pay attention, it's easy to see he wants to leave as fast as possible.

Keep in my mind this is Steven after "Change your mind", he knows he's his own person and doesn't have to fix his mother mistakes. He is not Rose, he is Steven.

I think "pre-Change your mind" Steven would have stayed a little bit longer since he would feel guiltly and think he has to fix them.

But this Steven just wants to go home, relax a bit, without having to think about gem stuff.

As for Future: keep in mind that the Diamonds were the last people that Steven went to ask for their help.

"You guys, I love you, but— you can't help me anymore. I've been avoiding the only people in the entire universe who can."- Steven in Homeworld Bound.

Why he didn't ask for their help before?

Because he still doesn't know how to feel about the Diamonds.

It's not that he hates them, he's actually happy to see that they are changing and fixing all the damage they caused.

However.. the Diamonds bring him painful memories of his previous bad experiences on Homeworld (Wanted arc- Diamonds Days arc).

Don't forget that Steven dreamed about them in the episode "In dreams" as well, which, by the way, were more nightmares than dreams. This shows that thinking about the Diamonds makes him feel uncomfortable, which not surprising after all what he went through.

I talked many times in the past about how Steven needed the Diamonds' help to cure the corrupted gems and how changing Homeworld caste system slowly was better rather than just shattering one on the long run. They also have incredible gem powers, which now they are using them to fix the gems and helping restore Homeworld.

Steven, defined by his selflessness, pushed his feelings aside to ask them for their help and save Earth from future gem attacks. While he probably didn't like them, he knew that he needed their help.

In conclusion: I think Steven doesn't like them based of some scenes from the movie and future. I wouldn't say he hates them.. he just doesn't feel okay when he has to talk to them or go to Homeworld to visit them for several reasons.
