Since @ericaportfolio mentioned “Francis Nack” the inspiration of Helluva Boss (do NOT watch that show if you’re under 18 or lower!), I can absolutely see Nick and Riley working together as a team to escape from Francis, and Nick needed to sing “Look at This!” as a distraction. And I also made a reference from Helluva Boss season 2 episode 6 in the second picture. And here’s a doodle of Riley and Scout. XD

I put “Riley and Nick’s Grand Escape” as an episode name in Mortimer’s Handeemen Season 3. I couldn’t think of other names to call it, but I’m curious to know what you think or what episode title name I should have call.

Also, I could see Nick and Riley singing “Addict from Hazbin Hotel” together (those under 18, do NOT watch that either!). I don’t know why, but now I can’t get that out of my head!

Shattered Glass (Unreality Au)

Content warnings: blood, implied physically harming another person, semi-graphic death scene, verbal and emotional abuse and manipulation, subtly implied self harm.

Scout's Brother never liked her....

He was very avoidant and dismissive around her. He would get annoyed easily and snap at her for anything he found to be annoying or bothersome. He was angry, all the time, worse than Riley's anger when she had a bad day. he would call her names and belittle her whenever he saw her. Whenever she did anything.

It was clear to Scout that her brother did not like her and wanted nothing to do with her. So she would simply avoid him. Deciding that if he wanted to talk to her, he would come to her himself.

And one day it happened.

her brother came up to her one day while she was watching the old TV that Riley had allowed her to keep after she found it. He had a calm smile on his face. He never smiled around her. It was almost...unnerving to witness.

He told Scout that he wanted to surprise Riley. Today was her birthday, and he wanted to make it special. Which confused Scout. Her brother hated Riley. He couldn't care less about anyone's birthday either. Her ninth birthday was just last month and he didn't want anything to do with her. So why did he change all of a sudden?

Regardless of how odd it was, she decided to help. Even if she was hesitant, he never asked for help, so she wasn't going to just turn him away.

Her brother told her that he was planning a small party for her, and she needed to be completely distracted so she wouldn't find out.

"that's why I need you" He said. "She cares about you way more than she really should"

That was always his argument

"She cares about both of us, she's just overprotective of me.."

"Whatever you say, number one"

"Why do you keep calling me that?"

"Don't worry about it, this isn't about you anyways."

"...okay...what do you want me to do? How do I distract her?"

"Don't worry, I know what will cause a big enough disturbance that will take up all of her attention. I'm going to help you by setting the bait"

He smiled, holding his hand out"

"just give me your hand..."

........

"Are you SURE that's what happened?"

Riley hadn't been doing anything too important. She was sitting at her private desk reading some sort of newspaper, catching up on the outside worlds scientific discoveries, when her daughter came in. She was sniffling, holding onto her arm. Blood was dripping down onto her shirt and onto the floor. there was a long and decent sized cut going over her elbow.

Riley immediately rushed her to the medical section of her lab and sat her down. She then began to clean, stich and bandage the wound.

"Y....yes... yeah. I was running, but I wasn't paying attention... and then I tripped and fell on some glass and it got stuck in my arm, I pulled it out but it left a scar.."

"Uh huh, Okay."

She finished bandaging the injury, but she didn't move from her spot.

"I know you're lying to me"

Of course she did. But Scout wasn't supposed to let her find that out. "I'm not..it was just an accident-"

"Scout, there's no way this was an accident. The cut is a perfect straight line, there was no stuffing removed or anything, it looks like someone cut you"

Scout went silent. Riley sighed and gently held her daughters hands.

"What happened?"

As it turned out, Scouts brother lied about everything.

Riley's birthday was back in October, she and her siblings all had the same birthday. October thirty first, and it was currently the sixth of January.

Riley was absolutely LIVID. And rightfully so. Her son just slashed her daughters arm, just to use her as a distraction. And she needed to find him, now.

She took Scout with her as she began searching for her son. Why did he dare to hurt Scout to distract her? Why was he trying to distract her in the first place?

A loud crack caught her attention. She rushed towards what sounded like the source of the noise...and there he was. Slamming a chair into the window.

"Axe"

"Mom" Axe hissed, taking another swing at the already cracking window. Scout flinched and covered her ears upon hearing the awful sound of glass breaking. The warehouse windows were rather strong, but they weren't invincible... if broke, they would lead to outside...

Was he trying to escape?

Riley had a rule in place when it came to outside. Neither of the two were allowed to go out. Not until they were thirteen, then she would go with them. her brother was four months away from being able to go outside. Why was he trying to escape like this? Was there another reason? Was it Riley? Was it the warehouse conditions? Was it...her?

Scout didn't attempt to question him and his reasoning. Riley and her brother were now fighting. yelling. shouting over one another. Riley yelling at her son for hurting his sister and Axe yelling at both Riley and Scout.

They kept shouting, as Riley tried to take the folded metal chair away from him...but when she got close Axe raised the chair above his own head...and slammed it down on hers.

Riley fell to the ground and stopped moving. Trembling, Scout knelt down beside her, leaning her head against her chest. Her heart was still beating, and she was still breathing...but she was unconscious and her head was bleeding. But she was still alive.

She glared up at her brother. "You almost KILLED HER!" she snarled, her ears standing up on end.

Her brother raised the chair again, ready to swing once more. He returned the glare. His eyes were cold and full of hate.

"You should have stayed dead"

He swung the chair, and the window finally broke. Shattered glass was thrown everywhere. Scout covered her face with her hands as glass hit, scratching into her palms.

When it was safe, she ran over to the window and looked out of the damaged remains. Watching as her brother ran through the snow. Watching as he ran...and ran...

She watched as he ran right into death itself. And she watched in horror, as death tore her brother to shreds

she watched it devour him while he was still alive.

..................

"So...that's what happened to your brother, then?"

"Yeah..its a messy story, I know. But that's how I remember it..I watched something horrifying tear him apart...it came out of nowhere and fucking ate him. I told Riley everything that happened after she recovered. She says its not my fault, but I just....I don't know."

"I'm sorry to hear that. He was not a good brother to you, but you still seemed to care a lot about him"

"yeah..I used to. But he was an asshole..He's dead anyways."

Scout sighed, running her hands over her bandaged arms.

"it's not like anything he said stuck to me that badly anyways."

Welcome Home but like... Mixed with Hello Puppets.

CURSE MY BRAIN FOR THINKING OF ANOTHER AU FOR WELCOME HOME OMG- but my brain went brr so I gotta share my thoughts omg.

But like... So the studio shut down, then someone (if I write an x Reader for this, the Reader) comes in to investigate it. It had shut down under mysterious circumstances, after all, and a bunch of people went missing.

So then they figure out that what happened was that the puppets all took control of humans in order to live, Hello Puppets style, complete with puppets being seen to hands and the walk around puppeteers being trapped within their puppets. Luckily for the investigator, the puppets don't want to hurt them. Unlucky for them, they now don't want to let them go, instead, forcing them to stay and watch as they reenact episodes of Welcome Home. They want an audience to watch them, again, like the old days.

I don't know which character would take what role, but all I know is that I am shocked to have not found a crossover between Welcome Home and Hello Puppets, yet. It has probably been done before but I just haven't seen it, lol.

After some of the last crazy few weeks, I finally finished another character sheet based on the art from the Hello Puppets games with another OC I created if the show did not get canceled, no fire, and no possessed murder puppets ever happened. This character was created when the Lackadaisy Pilot came out, but I added some Helluva Boss (don't watch the show if you are under 18 kids, please wait) mafia episode influences.

On the outside, Francis Nack, Father of Nick Nack, runs an Arcade Casino in one of the cities near the town the Handeemen lives. But in reality, Francis is the French Mob Boss and uses his Arcade Casino as a coverup for a money racketeering scheme. Sadly, after years of emotional and physical abuse, when Nick was about to turn 18 in a month, he was secretly approached by a banker who was hired by his missing mother, Jancis, years ago to give Nick his inheritance from her to use if he wanted to get away from the crime family and use that money for anything he wants to pursue. Obviously, Nick took the money, went to an art college, and years later joined the newly formed Handeemen group that later became a show. Blessing or a curse, on the premiere episode of Season 3, when the Handeemen accepted an offer to help a kid win a pinball tournament, they are suddenly picked up by a mysterious luxurious travel escort transportation. To Nick's (even Virginia's) dismay, it turned out that the pinball tournament was taking place at the same Arcade Casino with Francis waiting for them. As Francis's premiere episode progresses, his intentions are made clear becoming the main antagonist for Season 3. Yep, Season 3 became a French parody of The Godfather.

Historically, the law chased the Mafia out of Las Vegas during the Mid-1980s. Whoever got the character approved by the censors must have been the many therapists at the time when PSA episodes really started to kick in the late 1980s/early 1990s to spread awareness of child abuse because the Handeemen fandom was theorizing if Nick came from an abusive home, but nobody was expecting The Godfather route. So what better way to bring awareness than by making the abuser the main antagonist for the season. Francis is literally the French version of The Godfather. Along with Lackadaisy and Helluva Boss, his biggest inspiration came from the 2003 French animated comedy, The Triplets of Belleville, which is a CLASSIC!!! Though be warned of mature content in the film since the movie is for audiences thirteen and up. The mafia in that film is similar to the Nack Mob in this AU. Like father like son, they are almost alike, except for height and Francis is commonly nicknamed Scarface for his scar. Francis originally had Brown Hair that faded over time. To get the season approved by the producers and the censors, instead of having a regular Casino as a backdrop, they instead went with an Arcade Casino with arcade games, pinballs, and fair games in a classic Las Vegas-like setting.

Nick's mom, Jancis Nack, was a mixture of Riley and Daisy with Audrey Hepburn influences. Speaking of Daisy, Jancis's hair was inspired by Daisy's blueprints from the Hello Puppets games. Nick's mom's disappearance becomes one of the biggest mysteries in the show, some thinking Francis had something to do with it. So yeah, Nick has 🎵 parent/daddy issues🎵 everybody!

How to handle the Outbreak of the Un-Named Virus.

Want to know if you or a friend/loved one has caught the outbreaking virus? Be sure to read up on the process of the infection! If you or anyone close to you is showing any signs, quarantine yourself immediately.

Keep in mind that the virus can be transmitted through the following:

deep bites that have broken through the skin,breathing in the wrong air, sneezing and coughing(germs), physical contact, and/or consuming the flesh of an infected person's corpse.

ALL STAGES OF THE VIRUS ARE CONTAGIOUS.

It is important to quarantine and stay indoors as much as possible during this virus outbreak, if it is necessary to go outside, wear a mask and protective clothing, and bring something with you in case you are found in a situation that requires self defense.

To know whether you or someone else is infected, look out for the following stages....

Tw for: emetophobia, body horror, self harm, death, thoughts of unaliving, implied animal death, and potentially more

Stage 1:

The first stage will seem like the infected has a mild cold or flu. The newly infected will become ill with the following symptoms.

Sneezing

Coughing

Headaches

Fevers and chills

Mild Nausea

Congestion

Sore/itchy throat

Mild body pain

The infected will start showing these symptoms within 15 minutes-3 days, depending on how they caught the virus.

Stage 2:

The stage 1 symptoms become worse, causing the infected person(s) to become violently ill as well as making it very hard to find the energy to move. Stage 2 infected will most likely remain in bed for the majority of the stage. Symptoms include:

Vomiting/heavy nausea

little ability to move (some infected have described the feeling to be like "as if someone was painfully holding them down in place")

loss of appetite

insomnia or oversleeping

throbbing headaches (described as "worse than migraines")

random bruising on the body

Stage 2 can last up to 2-3 weeks before rapidly throwing the infected into the next stage...

Stage 3:

The infected in this stage will suddenly be filled with energy while they are still sick. Their bodies become covered in bruises and small specks of mold begin to form. They have an unpleasant odor. Other symptoms include:

Random fits of happy and sad hysteria

unpleasant mud-like odor that doesn't seem to go away (no matter how much you shower or bathe)

Rapid on and off bursts of energy

Visible and Auditory hallucinations

Bruises and mold spots forming on the body overtime, as if the body is rotting

heavy chest pain

Flesh is beginning to peel and/or "melt" off.

Heightened Paranoia and/or a feeling some described as "A mid life crisis"

Eyes begin to become more "empty" (faded pupils and irises)

It is recommended that in this stage, you say your final goodbyes. Regardless of whether or not you are the infected.

Stage 4:

Stage four is described to be "the most horrifying" out of the five. The infected is no longer energetic and hyper, those feelings are replaced with terror and anger as their pain and suffering get worse. In addition to physical pain and mental torment, the infected is also battling against themselves, trying to stay awake as they fall in and out of consciousness. Symptoms:

More vivid visual and auditory hallucinations that the infected will try to physically or verbally fight.

Harming oneself out of fear and/or frustration (or trying to cause themselves pain to stay conscious)

Seemingly going in and out of "reality", On and off consciousness.

body is slowly beginning to mutate or change (painfully)

bleeding from the eyes, nose and/or ears.

Hair loss or hair growth

Heavy feelings and thoughts about taking ones life to end the suffering or to "stop" the infection from taking them or infecting others around them.

It is important to remember that in this stage, the infected will begin to bite people when they aren't conscious of their selves. If one wishes to kill an infected, it is best to do it in this stage, or allow the infected to end their own life, due to the last stage making the infected harder to kill....

Stage 5 (Final Stage):

Infected has reached the final stage of the virus. They no longer have any consciousness, and have "lost themselves". They are mindless and vicious and see everyone as either an enemy or prey. They actively try to bite and kill anyone who appears to be too close. Their bodies are constantly mutating into inhuman shapes. The process is bloody, the pain is agonizing, and none of it will end until the virus finally kills them from the inside out.

When an infected finally dies, the body will stop moving and begin to decompose rapidly, leaving acid and body parts as the only indication of their existence. However, Only 70% of infected seem to die....

Tips for the virus, quarantining, dealing with infected, and more:

always wear a mask around other people, even if you're inside your home (There is an exception if you live on your own)

If someone in your home is infected and being quarantined, it is advised to say your final goodbyes to them and avoid them at all costs, since as of right now, no cure exists, and the virus is fatal.

if an infected person asks to stay with you or enter your home, do NOT let them in. Even if they are only at the beginning of stage 1. Your safety is more important.

Keep your doors and windows locked at all times, keep the blinds and curtains closed.

If you are in a heavy populated area, try to evacuate and find shelter somewhere more secluded. if you are unable too, consider setting up more traps and security measures.

it is better to starve to death than to eat the flesh of the infected.

Animals can also get infected. Their process is much faster and is similar to sickness and rabies. The virus has a 85% chance of killing a fully infected animal.

Okay, the last post of the day since I completed this sketch dump to practice my comic skills. So I made an AU where the show didn't get canceled, no possessed murder puppets happened, and instead, everyone came together to throw their ideas onto the idea board. Everyone's ideas, even Owen's, wasn't working, but then Scout Harper came up with the idea that Mortimer decides to foster a child/teenager. Everyone, even Owen, loved the idea that Harper, and all the studio assistants, were put in charge of creating the character, they got a talented puppeteer named Kelly to play the role, and Scout Prime was born. Long story short, the character saved the show, and Scout became a household name. People still debate whose better; Riley or Scout. Maybe in this AU, they used the fire chat episode for Mortimer to realize he wanted to foster a child. Later in the show's season finale's ending, Mortimer gets a call from a nervous social worker saying they might have a young teen for Mortimer to foster. The first season episode later, Riley, Nick, Daisy, Owen, and the film crew have a bad feeling about Mortimer's decision. Please tell me this happened instead of the murder puppets, Right! right? I got Scout's last name, Prime, from the Hello Puppets Wiki. Also, a little something for @dreamland-creations of Scout with those boots. This art style was inspired by the game posters and art.
