You didn’t only take the time to read my story, but you liked it enough to go to that little box and tell me your thoughts? Kissing you, kissing you, KISSING YOU!!! 😘

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I’m a happy endings gal all the way! If I’m gonna put them through the horrors for hundreds of thousands of words, I damn well wanna give them their happily ever after! That being said, I have this little microfic where tentacle lake monster Steeb enthralls Eddie to lure people to him so that he can eat them. Sorry, Eddie!

(He’ll absolutely bring him O’Donnell and Principal Higgins, so it’s fine.)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Hic sunt dracones! I mean hello? They are mates and Steve is King and everyone is happy and my boy gets flower crowns and apple pie and hot, hot dragon sex forever after!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Someone once felt the need to leave me a very passive aggressive comment on how my Brit slips were “completely ruining the vibe” of my fics (and then I wrote a microfic about British!Steve, I’m still laughing).

Oh, and then there was that one time I was accused of racism.

But apart from that, everyone has been lovely and fantastic and supportive and I really love it here. I’ve met so many more lovely people than assholes.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Ummm … I’m the person with the 100k dragon porn fic. Hell yes, I write smut! I love writing smut, all kinds of smut!

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

No, sorry, my brain doesn’t do crossovers. XD

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but I’d be thrilled to see it happen. Any and all transformative works are always welcome, just be sure to tag me because I’d love to see them and you will have my sword and my axe for eternity and I will scream about it forever!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I once co-wrote an original work with a friend when we were like 15? We had no idea what the fuck we were doing and it never got finished, but it was a blast!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Steddie. I love them, I’m obsessed with them, I think I’ll be writing fic for them for the rest of my life!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I’m committed to finishing all of my WIPs, that’s why I’m a good girl and only ever work on one large fic at a time with smaller projects on the side, but there’s SO MANY I WANNA WRITE STILL!!!!

16. What are your writing strengths?

Several people have told me that I’m really good at scene setting and evoking imagery, at painting very vivid pictures in their minds … so I guess there’s that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I wish I could write stunning, creative metaphors like @wynnyfryd . The river Styx one from the trailer park AU? Blew me away! I could never come up with that!

I also admire @wingedquill for being able to be concise and still so fucking intense in their fics! I'm a wordy bitch myself and always in awe of that skill.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I’ve never been in a situation where I was faced with the decision, but I think I’d rather describe it instead of typing out the actual words? Such as “they exchanged a few sentences in Spanish”. I’m only fluent in one language besides English, so I feel like I’d either need to get help or include a horrifically mangled Google translation and end up being unintentionally hilarious.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The first fandom I published for was Stranger Things.

The first fandom I wrote for was Harry Potter, back before it went to shit (Wolfstar shipper of the very first hour here)

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Hic sunt dracones, my beloved! This fic is everything I ever wanted, both in terms of writing and the echo it received. I still daydream about these two (and have another bonus drabble coming in December).

Hello everyone!

As the RRR fandom grows, it is delightful to see the influx of so many new fans who are outputting the most incredible fanworks and meta analysis. So @stanleykubricks and I ( @fangirlshrewt97 ) are pairing up to host a fandom event to celebrate this movie we all love so much as a community! And as Diwali is around the corner, we thought new content would be the perfect way to lead up to the Festival of Lights!

This is a low-pressure event meant to encourage the creation of more fanworks for RRR. Fic, art, gifs, vids, podfic, you name it—all are welcome.

What’s allowed? Complete fanworks focusing on RRR, any romantic or platonic relationships are allowed. Fic, art, vids, remixes, sequels, you name it! No length requirements, no style requirements, all ratings allowed—do what you want!

Anything not allowed? Do I have to make something for every prompt? No! You can if you want, but it’s not required. Feel free to skip days, combine prompts, create multiple fills for each day, anything! This is as flexible as it gets, we just want people to create and have fun!

If it fits multiple prompts, when do I post it? Whatever day works best for you!

What about a multi-chapter/piece thing where each chapter fulfills one day’s prompt? When do I post that? Post an update each relevant day until you’re done! (Just make sure you can finish it by the end of the event.)

DC Comics/DCU - Separate from the Arrowverse, I'd love to do some stuff involving my Alternate Universe Bruce Wayne opposite Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Clark Kent, and others. Polyamory plots are welcomed here. Also I have a Clark Kent that I'd love to do some things with as well. I also have plot ideas for my OC Leon, if you want to learn more there.

X-Men - X-Men 97 has given me some brainrot. This is a rare occasion where I want to play an OC/Canon thing. I want to use my Biokinetic OC Caleb opposite Remy and/or Scott Summers. I have some ideas in mind that would be very fun. Other canon mutants (Erik, Charles, Kurt) wouldn't ENTIRELY be off limits but Remy / Scott are preferred. Also, bonus points if you have knowledge of Krakoa from the comics.

Stranger Things I am total Harringrove and Harmungrove (Eddie/Steve/Billy) trash. Really wanting to play Steve for this.

The Sandman I'm huge fan of Hob/Dream. I can play either though these days i'm feeling more like Dream. I have a variety of AU's in mind, and smutty ideas. I'd also be open for a crossover with the Lucifer from the Fox/Netflix Lucifer series, and Dream. (Also open to Dream/Hob/Desire)

Marvel - I'm wanting to play an Intersex Billy Kaplan, for a cheating/cuckolding plot. Inquire within. I'd love to spice it up with a little incest too (Erik Lehnsherr, Pietro, etc)

Between two worlds Anakin skywalker x reader marvel and Star Wars crossover chapter 2 who are you?

"who are you and are you girl from Those dreams I had" Anakin questioned your eyes widen “I’m y/n yes I’m probably that girl was in your dreams you had that you had and I think you have been in mine also who are you” you said and realising that he was actually real “I’m Anakin” Anakin said suddenly Obi wan wakes up “Anakin I told you we should not land somewhere that has very high security” Obi wan said .then the other avengers that were in compound run up to you (they were somehow ready to stop who broke into the compound and not realising Anakin and Obi wan are not threats) Tony was using Mark 85, Steve was holding his shield, Natasha was holding her gun and Tony was pointing his repulsors at Anakin and Obi Wan “alright kid who is wearing a karate uniform and some bearded guy that looks like that actor Ewan McGregor do not take over this planet” Tony said you roll your eyes “uh Tony they are not threats and they do not want take over earth” you said Tony turns off his Replusers” seriously stark y/n is right and they are not threat “Steve said you roll your eyes "guys put your weapons down now and let the these two you just met introduce themselves" you said. Tony opens his mask from mark 85 and Natasha puts her gun away also Steve puts his shield away "sorry for the misunderstanding Looks like you already met y/n " Steve said. you sigh "i'll introduce the people you just met they are a family to me the guy who had point his replusers or blasters at you is Tony and the redhead with the gun is Natasha, the man with shield is Steve" You said both Anakin and Obi wan look at you "I'm Obi wan Kenobi and seems like you already met my padawan Anakin Skywalker" Obi wan said, suddenly thunder cracked from the sky "oh you gotta be kidding Thor is back early" You sigh Anakin looks at you weirdly "who are talking about" Anakin Questioned because he and obi wan does not know that gods are real "the person or a god were talking about is thor the the god of thunder you said awkwardly. "Hello my fellow Avengers what did i miss" Thor said he just came back from fixing his relationship with his ex "welcome back point break you missed out on people who accidentally landed their ship outside of the compound" Tony said sarcastically "are they the guardians " Thor questioned he was thinking of the guardians of the galaxy "their are not the guardians Thor" Steve said. Anakin and Obi wan look at them confusingly "I'll introduce them to you Thor this guy my age is Anakin Skywalker and the older man that has a beard is Obi wan Kenobi he is Anakin's Teacher or Master" You said quietly hoping that Thor does not ask where the pop tarts are again " Thanks y/n and where are the pop tarts" Thor said

one hour later inside the compound (you introduce the others (Bruce, Bucky and Sam) to Anakin and everyone is in that room where the avengers find the planet thanos was in after the snap

why were you two here in earth and why are you human and not species we don't know about and also do you some guy that is from earth and thinks that footloose is greatest movie ever" Tony said obi wan and Anakin give him confused look ”seriously Tony they don’t about that movie or even watched movies from our planet and I’ll ask Anakin and Obi Wan why are they here on earth also aren’t you supposed at your own house and Pepper is gonna be mad at you” you said as you look at computer that is trying to find coruscant “ok fine” Tony said and he leaves the room “why are you here in Earth” you questioned Anakin and Obi wan “the reason why were here on earth is because your planet appeared on Jedi archives and search for someone that is force sensitive and is in the room right now and learn about earth" Obi wan Explains. Anakin glance(looks) at you "that is a bit strange because I have been making things float whenever I try to grab something and I was not even using my own powers and every time I use powers eyes turn blue and i guess i could use my power in front of you guys" you said as you grab an apple and put it on a table and your make the apple float (and your eyes turn blue) and you blast the apple safely because you did not want to destroy something in the compound "that was amazing " Anakin complimented. you blush secretly "y/n could you take obi wan and Anakin to the spare rooms that is near your room" Steve asked you. "ok fine" you said as you roll your eye

after you take Anakin and Obi wan to the spare bedrooms (your room is next to the spare bedroom is where Anakin sleeping and Obi wan is sleeping in the 2nd spare bedroom right next to the 1st spare bedroom)

"lets go to my room Anakin" you said as you walk back to your room and Anakin Follows. a few seconds later you and Anakin enter your room in the compound "this is your room?" Anakin said as he looks around "had this room for four years and i never moved out of compound" you said while sitting down on your bed and Anakin photo of you and Your best friend Peter "who is this with you this non hologram picture" Anakin asked and trying not to sound jealous " that person in that photo with me my best friend Peter parker he is my first friend ever and I known him for five years, he is a brother to me and even though Peter is not my only Best friend any ways" You said. Anakin puts the photo back on the shelf "I was just asking its not that like that I h have" Anakin stutters as he struggles to his feelings for you due to the Jedi code does not allow attachments "have what?" you questioned. Anakin blushes hard "uh nothing and i better go to bed" Anakin said as he sits up and walks back to the spare bedroom that he is sleeping "Anakin is acting very awkward towards me and we just met" you realised that Anakin might be in love with you because you and Anakin are both having dream of each other which sounded like the story you were forced to read at high school in the story where the boy and girl both had dreams of each other and destined to fall each other and in the beginning the boy fell for the girl first and "i guess that story i read when i was in high school is becoming real story and i guess the story is now about me and Anakin " you said quietly because you might fell for Anakin (you will fall for Anakin harder in the next few chapters)and you fall asleep a two hours later you suddenly hear Anakin having a nightmare about his mother dying (you hear his night mare when your eyes turn blue you can see people nightmare that could be actually visions) which gave flashbacks when your mother was killed by ???(could be a villain or hydra) when you were 12 years old days before the avengers found you and you have no idea who is your real father (it might be Magneto and y/n (you ) could be Magneto's long lost daughter).

More Than Meets The Eye Retrospective: Spotlights Hoist and Trailcutter (Patreon Review for Brotoman.EXE)

Hello all you happy autobots and welcome back to my more than meets the eye retrospective. This month marks the first where w'ere offically doubling down as Brotoman doubled his patreon and thus we'll be doing two issues instead of one. So expect more autobot goodness every month.

You can also expect something slightly diffrent for the next few months: I'll still be here and still be doing this every month, but the next four storylines aren't your typical lost light shenanigans. Instead we have some spotlights on some minor characters, a diffrent cast entirely, an earlier transformers story that sets up important stuff for this run, and a story that while featuring our crew, is mostly a flashback to the bad old days on cybertron following up said story.

For this months features we have two spotlight issues. Transformers Spotlight was an important part of the previous era of IDW. It started as a way for Simon Furman to do stories set in space and the rest of the war, to set up the wider plot more, while keeping the main story grounded on earth. They were for the most part easily the best part of his run with Spotlight Hot Rod and Spotlight Blaster being the standouts to me. I say the most part of course because of Spotlight Arcee aka the accidently transphobic garbage fire brought about because Simon Furman REALLY hates the idea of these robots, who use male prounouns, having a gender they already have and thus hates Arcee because she makes it more obvious. That's a story to rip apart another day, the point is they were vital… but eventualyl petered out as things went, and only came back for this era because of the oldest reason in all of transformers

There was a generations toyline, so thus this followed. Robots in Disguise played ball more with it's one shots being vital to it's ongoing story or to set up the Dark Cybertron crossover that will be inflicted on this feature eventually, while these.. are just side stories starring some of the less prominent lost lighters. It's not a shock Spotlight didn't continue on into season 2 and if I had to guess it was just easier to add another ongoing with Windblade than keep doing this and was th eright call. These issues aren't bad, far from it, but there's nothing that really woudl've stopped either form just being issues of more than meets the eye. It probably helped that for future lines they instead did big crossover events which were a bigger money maker anyway… and which luckily for our purposes can mostly be mentiond instead of actually covered or are stuck to tie ins, with the one big exception we'll again have foisted upon us eventually.

For now though let's explore two tales of the lost light and two unique indivdiuals who were hardly that prominent till now shall we?

Spotlight: Trailcutter

I"ll be honest: I wasn't excited about rexploring this one. It's not a terrible issue but there's a mean spirited ness to the ending that just always rubbed me the wrong way.

Re-Reading it it's not terrible, but it's still one of the more flawed ones and that comes from the setup. See the Lost Light is built on it's humor and sometimes the characters can be dicks, it's just usually in a very in character way. And while this one is SORTA in character it takes it a bit too far.

So Rodimus has been rewarding everyone Rodimus Stars, big shiny badges with his face, aka the kind of acolade you'd expect from a raging narcisit. This I like as it's just so perfectly Rodimus to make even a good captain thing, making an award for those who do something well.. and slap his own face on it, as well as give one out to just about everyone. Everyone.. except Trailbreaker. And this is kinda where it just dosen't quite work for me: while the idea of EVERY autobot on the ship getting an award for some stupid reason against Trailbreaker isn't terrible, it makes Rodimus look worse than usual and it dosen't make sense that neither Ultra Magnus nor Drift would object, Magnus for giving them out like candy and Drift for if he's doing that NOT giving one to trailbreaker.

His reasons.. are also facepunchingly dickish but just not in the fun way it usually is with rodders or the dramatic way that crops up once or twice. Their seriously "Well you use forcefields all the time tha't snot every exceptional. " It just feels really meanspirited. It's not ENITRLEY out of character, but the trick to having a character like Rodimus is to keep him charming enough that his obnoxious traits are funny and have the moments he does something really bad come off that way, i.e. when he pulls rank on either of his command trinity when their rightfully calling him on something shitty he did. Here he's just kinda.. accidently bullying a bot who just wants a freaking shiny piece of tinfoil with his face on it for doing his job so well.

Trailbreaker himself though is a delight. Earlier on he's mostly just a "gets really drunK" award. But this spotlight shows why. While again the rodimus star thing is comically over the top, his desire to be recognized for more than the one thing he does.. isn't. You feel for the guy, as while yes his solution is to get drunk and sulk, you can't blame him when he keeps getting called in when epople need him and forgotten afterwords.

We also get a nice dynamic with our sullen hero and Whirl who tries to cheer him up. Granted it's whirl so his advice is "get a new gun" and "be an asshole like me", but it's still nice to not only see Whirl genuinely open up, but it's the first time timeline wise: these two issues take place simeltantiously and between 5 and 6, and it's nicer to see it in a more casual setting than having a giant gun pointed at his friend/therapist. Here he's just talking with a guy to first be a dick as always.. btu then genuinely sympatheizes. Again he's not helpful because.. well Whirl. The only time so far he's been helpful is keeping a gun pointed at him instead of his therapist, but points for effort.

The real meat though is Trailbreaker finds himself alone against AIM… er sorry alone against Lockdown. Lockdown comes from one of my faviorite versions of transformers, Animated, a bounty hunter and real asshole, whose really fucking cool, and is one of the few non g1 adjacent characters to make it to this continuity. Likely the fact Animated mostly uses g1 as a base helped. He and his crew are hunting titans, and have frozen the lost light. What follows is a nice game of cat and forceifled specialist as with his fiels not working normally, Trailbreaker has to rely on cunning, gile and magnetic wheels to figure things out. While the setup to this issue isn't great.. this right here keeps it: a guy we barely knew panicked out of his mind as we see just how capable he is beyond what people expect, and see him bluff his way out of the situation. We also get some foreshadowing as their after the weird thumb our heroes found earlier.. which turns out to be a piece of METROPLEX, a city sized transformer who will be relevant to our next story too. This part works well.

The ending doesnn't as cutter/breaker gets his reward.. only for Rodimus to make a new one. HAHA IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE HIS MISERABLE. Trail will get a better break next season but yeah, this isn't a terrible issue the setup and punchilne just don't.. fit with this series. It's a comedy sure.. but it also takes it's characters and their pain seriously enough that this sort of goofy punchline dosen't work for the story told. It's not a BAD issue but it's bellow what this series is capable of.

Spotlight: Hoist

I honestly forgot to read this one in either of my previous reads of this series, and i'm glad this retrospective finally got me too because it is a classic. It's not necessary for the overarching plot like trailcutter.. but it is REALLY damn good character stuff and spotlights a characte rwho won't be in this series for much longer, one of the series best, and of course Hoist. The setup is simple: a transport was sent down to explore a nearbye planet. Standard star trek stuff. On it are three autobots: Your boy and mine Swerve, Hoist of course and an unexpected face: Sunstreaker. Sunstreaker.. is a lot to get into. In short he was kidnapped early into this continuity, made into a headmaster, eventually got restored and found a terrorcon named bob who he adopted, whose naturally also present. I honestly had no idea he was ever on the LL as I hadn't read this, he seems to only show up in background bits after this, and he's only in season 1 of this comic , moving over to the sister series after this.

Oh and Perceptor's there too I guess stuck to the celing. Seriously while Percy does have a moment of importance here and there it's weird how the series puts a LOT of emphasis on him, at least early on.. and it feels like it peters off. It honestly feels like he was INTENDED to be the big science guy of the group, but Brainstorm was simply more fun to right and the addition of Nautica next season meant he simply was only necessary for the finale of season 2. Or maybe he just wanted to avoid people getting too attached for that reason. Either way Percy is just kinda.. here.

The issue is a tense affair as after going out to explore Hoist finds TARN.

Though naturally something's off here both because of all the build up for the guy.. and because having read later even ignoring the fact this encounter didn't come up, ther'es no way in hell he'd be both alone and have let Hoist escape. Even with what we have so far the fact he and the DJD aren't banging downt he doors for their transformation cogs is a sign somethign's off.

Most of the issue though is just banter, which is code for "Swerve annoys the fuck out of his two and a half shipmates" Well more Sunstreaker. Hoist remains silent until actively egged on and Percy is busy doing stuff. Sunstreaker.. is a bit more understandable to get dunked on since he crashed them into the planet looking at his own reflectoin. But hoist, as seen above, gets understadanbly pissed when the most Swerve can say about his personality is "Green?" I don't really ike his tone of "well I don't have a personality disorder" as you know, a godo chunk of the ship is in therapy for that, but it comes off later as being defensive: after Hoist bringes up a tragic past and refuses to talk about it swerve shows all the restraint he can

Before blurting about it. We find out Hoist wa son a transport that had a smaller one crash into it and was the only survivor, left wandering an empty planet thinking he'd die alone, now his greatest fear. It's a nice bit of character building and shows that even people who fucntion well enough after a war will still likely have some trauma from it.

We also get a nice characte rmoment for swerve as it turns out for once his not shutting up wasn't just his character.. but was to distract the others. He was hurt in the crash and thus was distracting them all so they wouldn't risk their lives to save him. Naturally, they do just that and after a badass pose

Our heroes head out.. and find Tarn! And Megatron! And Shockwave! and Overlord! all of whom combine into one super decipticon.. which was listed earlier as Swerve's biggest fear.. and turns out to be the problem: the planet has a phobia shield and thus feeds off someone's greatest fears, meaning the solution.. is neat as it is sad: Hoist knocks everyone else out so thre's shut off, especailly bob since his is metroplex, brought up helpfully earlier as something that traumatized him as Metroplex killed the rest of the inesectiocns. The end is Hoist left alone his worst nightmar.e. and this worried me. Turns out though he was in the ending of trailcutter, so he's fine, it just threw meo ff. And you know swerve continues to be around

Hoist is far better than it's brother, coming off like a lost light issue. It dosen't have much to do with the ongoing plot, that i'm awaare of it's been aw hile afte rall, but it's a nice character focus, and adds some layers to swerve: When the chips are down his first insttinct is to sacrifice himself to keep everyone else save. He may be mouthy and often insenstive.. but deep down he's a true hero.

Next time we see what the decepticons are up to and see what their equilvent of our guys is. Until all are one, thanks for reading.

I've been reading your fan fictions for a long time and I enjoy them all! Just one question: What would you say to someone who wants to write something not so popular in the fandom, (ex. a ship) but is afraid of what others will think? I'll give an example of me: I've been writing a fanfiction for a long time in which L�� Let's say he's morally right. At least not as ruthless as Light. I've been writing this for a long time and I don't want this effort to go to waste. I'm really tired of everyone having to prove that they are worthy of the fandom and that they all must write the "correct" things.

What I say is write what you love and who cares what other people think. Post it. Share it. Put it out there if you want to. Your audience will find you. I for one would love to read what you wrote about L. ( I mean that. If you ever feel comfortable sharing it and don't mind not being anonymous anymore, please feel free to send it my way when you post it!)

Here's the thing, imo, about fics. They don't have to be "correct". It's a fic. It's a story you've created that you want to tell. Anyone that acts like you have to prove your worth to be a part of a fandom is doing it wrong. There will always be someone that just doesn't vibe with how you see/write a character and that's ok. It's your story and you have just as much right to be here and talk/write about what you like as anyone else does.

The thing that I have always found interesting about this fandom in particular is how strong the fanon is, to the point where sometimes people forget that we are all fans of the same thing, we all love DN. We just don't all do it or interpret it the same way and you know what? That's completely fine (and in this house, welcome because who wants to read the same story/HCs/Meta etc. over and over again?)

I do understand feeling concerned about how your story will be received, but I wouldn't let that stop you. (I write an L/OC fic series lol I remember the absolute terror I felt when I started posting it, but I'm glad I shared it. I always said if it made one person happy it was worth it and I still feel that way.) Even if you write something that is "unpopular", remember there are other people out there that share your thoughts and you will offer them something that they can't get anywhere else. (I know many people also will not voice their differing opinions here for the same reasons you feel uneasy about how your fic will be received.)

In other words. Write your rare pair, your OCs, your AUs, your crossovers, etc, and your interpretation of L's morals falls into this. Whatever sparks your creativity, you should write and share it.

You're allowed to have your own take on things and if someone doesn't like it, they don't have to read it. 🖤

another year, another yuletide! hello and thanks for reading my letter. even if you’re not my assigned writer and are just checking it out for the hell of it. i’m still terrible at putting what i like into words, hopefully all this rambling makes sense. just know that the prompts are only suggestions–if you’ve got something else in mind you’re longing to write, then go for it.

and i feel like this goes without saying but i am more than okay with receiving treats.

likes:

dysfunctional relationships eg. codependency, messed up father/son dynamics, enemies to lovers, power imbalances.

vulnerability in men, uncertain intimacy.

supernatural/magical realism/cosmic horror. weird hints of it in an otherwise normal universe.

big loyalty kink. love it when trust is earned and kept.

open and honest communication between partners.

polyamory. it’s the journey of them getting together and making it work that interests me the most. or how a couple goes about bringing in a third person.

stories set in canon. or a divergence of canon. fix-it fics.

soulmate/soulmark fics. i’m mostly interested in these kinds of scenarios when they’re dysfunctional takes on them. e.g. they don’t actually have each other marks but get together anyway.

The Departed (2006)

*Billy Costigan *Sean Dignam

one of my favourite films ever. i request it every year so you can't really go wrong with this as i'm just thirsty for anything.

most of my love is for dignam and his tough love attitude towards his job and the undercovers he's responsible for. i am endlessly endeared by his wild card quality, expletive fueled speech and hair trigger temperament. his father/son relationship with queenan contrasted against billy’s father/son relationship with queenan--how cyclical the whole set up is. his complete disregard for everyone else in that office, especially sullivan. and despite all of that, it's obvious that he cares. i don't think you could do a job like that and not care in some way, and it’s those few and rare moments where we see him soften around billy --we need you, pal-- that's what i would like to see more of. that juxtaposition of good cop/bad cop all coming from the same guy.

shipping fic is what i am craving but honestly whatever you are comfortable with writing is fine, as long as it involves them both. due to the nature of the film i am perfectly comfortable with violence and the screwed up relationship they are bound to have. the friction born of the situation vs the fact that they need each other to get through it is what i am all about.

things that really get me with these two: codependency, power imbalances, the enemies to lovers trope, unexpected moments of vulnerability, loyalty.

prompts:

fics where billy survives are my usual go-to. i'd love something that explores the angst of billy's ‘where the hell were you when i needed you’ reaction towards dignam, supposing that he survives that ending. because from billy’s POV, at least, dignam basically disappears from the film after queenan’s death. maybe dignam still kills sullivan, and billy’s reaction to that. is he thankful or is he pissed?

i’ve wasted a lot of time thinking about the line --why don’t we meet up, sweetheart, let me buy you an ice cream-- the jokey seriousness of it just kills me. if you can somehow write that happening in a believable, in character fic you would earn my eternal respect. whether that’s a clandestine meeting during billy’s undercover period, or some kind of post-film scenario where dignam makes good on his promises, i have no idea but i’d love to see it.

daemon au - very curious how this would impact going undercover. daemons expressing feelings that the characters otherwise can’t. and the intimacy of touching/comforting each other’s daemons is an absolute favourite trope of mine.

soulmate au - either having their names on each other or their first words. or something else more uncommon/unusual. this interests me particularly here for the same reason the daemon au does because i’d love to see how this would work in a universe where you’re going undercover. i’m thinking about that scene where costello is smashing billy’s arm cast and the idea that it could be hiding something other than a wire.

time loop/groundhog day fic - there’s a lot of moments in the film i think they would both like to change, and it kind of makes sense to me to have billy’s survival be the pivotal thing triggering the loop.

Bone Tomahawk (2015)

*Arthur O’Dwyer *Samantha O’Dwyer *John Brooder

i’m a huge fan of westerns and i’m a huge fan of thinking too deeply about potential ot3s. bone tomahawk gave me both of these things to gorge on.

every time i watch it i latch onto all the little hints dropped about the kind of relationship brooder has with both of the o’dwyers. he’s a weird, vain, loner, dandy man type who is rude to pretty much everyone else in the film, except the married o’dwyers. it’s established that he was interested in samantha o’dwyer, presumably before she was married, flirted with her, but was ultimately rejected by her. instead of this being a point of conflict in the film, brooder is nothing but cordial with her, respectful even--knowing to go to her when told to find a doctor--and is quick to hold himself responsible for putting her in danger once she is taken.

it would then be very easy for the film to pit brooder and arthur against each other because of this past. but, excluding a couple moments when tensions are high, they’re both unusually friendly with each other. the way arthur jokes about wanting no flirtations between brooder and samantha but still allows brooder to escort his wife into town when he can’t because of his leg. arthur is the only one who ever calls him john. arthur is the only one to ever call brooder out when he’s being too rude, and have brooder actually listen to him and reel his rudeness in. i am especially floored by brooder calling arthur ‘cowboy’ multiple times, in the most fond manner possible. in fact, this might be the only way he refers to arthur, thinking back on it. i also love the little moment where brooder helps arthur down from his horse. such a small moment that means a lot considering the kind of man he’s been shown to be.

the film has an extremely violent end, hopeful in a few ways but largely not. anything written for this would inevitably have to draw on some of this violence, which i am fine with, but i’m mostly interested in how the characters deal with the trauma and less the trauma itself. it probably goes without saying that i ship all three of them in all configurations.

prompts:

anything set before the events of the film. how the three of them might interact on a day-to-day basis in the town of bright hope. how they reached this level of fondness. how outsiders might view the different way brooder interacts with the o’dwyers, compared to the face he shows to everyone else.

brooder lives AU - not gonna lie, my enjoyment of this film dips slightly once brooder is gone. (i’m always pleasantly surprised by how much matthew fox is the MVP here.) but maybe they find him hurt but not quite dead as they’re escaping, and all three of them get to return home. maybe for convenience sake samantha sets brooder up to recover in their home, so she can tend to him and arthur at the same time.

would love to see something that explores brooder having to come to terms and live with the amputation of his hand, considering how vain he is. he explicitly states in the film that he’d rather die than live like that, but maybe the o’dwyers can help him through this with what i imagine would probably have to be tough love.

Il buono il brutto il cattivo | The Good The Bad and The Ugly (1966)

*Blondie *Tuco Ramirez

i rewatched this recently and it sent me down a bit of a spiral of watching spaghetti westerns. i love the landscapes, the loneliness, talking around campfires under the stars, sharing a smoke, the constant underlying search for fortune and a place to settle down. the good the bad and the ugly remains my favourite simply because it has all these things and the added bonus of an antagonistic, reluctant partnership. and i especially love when partnerships eventually grow a layer of trust, no matter how flimsy.

these two fascinate me because the whole set up of their partnership in the beginning--the bounty hunting and the subsequent rescuing from the hanging--requires so much trust between them, and i am a firm believer that there is a certain amount of fondness between them, even when they’re trying to kill each other. this feels obvious to me by the end, what with blondie going out of his way to orchestrate a situation where tuco lives.

i love the darkness and the humour of their relationship and how they can both be deceptively smart when they need to be. i feel like they really do bring out the best and the worst of each other, in way that can only happen when you feel very strongly about someone. i do ship them but would be fine getting something that just explores their relationship.

prompts:

anything that explores the willingness of tuco putting a rope around his neck. how they got themselves into that situation, the trust it requires on tuco’s part to do that, the discussion they must have had to hash out all the details. maybe there’s a part of this deal we don’t see in the film, some kind of quid pro quo thing where blondie lets tuco do the same to him when they’re alone, as a way to even the score and it’s probably the only way to get tuco shut up about it. go as kinky as you like, breathplay and choking kink is welcome. i have a tiny obsession with the black neckerchief the man with no name usually wears, how thick it is, how he always wears it so close to his throat. if you can incorporate that somehow i would be crazy pleased.

post film reunion. would they just fall back into routine? whether that is going back to the bounty hunting scam or trying to kill each other again. i kind of doubt either of them would be able to hang onto the money for very long but what if one of them does use the money to buy some land. what if there was some very strange domesticity for a time.

weird west. go wild with ghosts, hauntings, legends of the old west. i love it most when the weirdness sits on the outskirts and creeps slowly into canon.

feel free to try out a soulmate/daemon fic here. it could be an interesting interpretation of the trust they development. even more so when they still trade murder attempts.

Uncharted (2022)

*Nathan Drake *Victor Sullivan

i’m a fan of the games which, in turn, should probably make me dislike this film. however, i regrettably had an okay-ish time with it. i wouldn’t exactly call it good but it was a passable buddy adventure film. uncharted 3 was always my favourite game because it focused on the relationship between these two, on how they met specifically, and so i was pretty much predetermined to get some enjoyment out of this concept here.

the things i like: the older man/younger man, mentor/protege dynamic. the competency shown when treasure hunting, pick-pocketing, pilot/flying kink. the friction of sully’s prior relationship with nate’s brother, how that didn’t end well, how that affects his and nate’s relationship, the insecurity of being seen as a replacement. i like that nate eventually softens sully’s edges but i also like that they are still kind of dicks to each other. i, for some reason, even enjoyed all the bubblegum teasing, the fondness towards sully and his cat, and the terrible attempt at sully’s infamous mustache at the end. and i cannot believe it’s canon that they spent many hours spooning in the trunk of that car.

i do ship it. i have since the games and i’m fine with acknowledging the age gap.

prompts:

a case fic of sorts. just them on the hunt for treasure. more focus on how they learn to work together when nate is more used to working alone and sully sees a lot of nate’s brother where he probably wishes he didn’t. maybe sully acknowledging how different his and nate’s dynamic is in comparison. because of feelings.

any kind of exploration into role reversal. some kind of situation that puts nate in charge. sully, despite being the older/more experienced one, being forced on the back foot.

i love the moments in the games when it crosses over into the supernatural. where, for the most part, the universe is perfectly normal, but the deeper they get the more things like yetis and immortality just becomes the norm. like indiana jones films when the religious objects and myths exist just below the surface. i would love something where they stumble on it during a treasure hunt.

The Color of Money (1986)

*Eddie Felson *Vincent Lauria *Carmen

i almost nominated this but eventually dropped it for something else. so i was pleasantly surprised to see someone else had thrown it into the ring.

the thing i really love about this film is that it’s made very obvious that they are all bad for each other. all three of them make each other worse in some way, and it’s largely about the corruption of goodness. most obviously of vincent, but i think it could be argued for all of them.

i like how each pairing gangs up on the other for different reasons at different times to best reach their goal. how eddie and carmen use vincent’s naivety and his softer heart against him. the way they work together to manipulate vincent--you make him feel good, i teach him how to run. how they both share the understanding that they’re not good people--they’re professionals, vincent.

i love the older/younger dynamic and the attempts at being a mentor between eddie and vincent. but i especially appreciate that the film lampoons the idea of it being a father/son kind of relationship when they use it in a grift and treat it like a joke. same with eddie and carmen when he outright says it’s not like that. eddie allowing vincent to get hurt to teach him a lesson, but then touching him with kid gloves when he checks out the damage done. the unavoidable phallic-ness of eddie giving vincent the pool cue--he’s been thinking of nothing else all day. then there’s the betrayal of vincent throwing his game against eddie. being confronted with the fact that they’ve created this monster, so what did they honestly expect would happen?

vincent becoming jealous of eddie and carmen acting like a couple. but which one is he jealous of exactly? eddie throwing his money around, sugar-daddying the younger couple. but also trying to keep his distance at the same time.

the way vincent and carmen keep pushing eddie, like letting him into their room while they’re showering and getting dressed. contrasted with the moments where we see them hanging out, watching tv together, just being happy in each other’s company. and the odd kindness they show him sometimes, like when eddie eventually gets played himself.

i definitely ship all three of them in all configurations.

prompts:

anything set during their time on the road. maybe having to share a hotel room for some reason. not sure if the ‘there’s only one bed’ trope counts when there’s three of them, but i’d still love to see it. vincent and carmen having to coax eddie into the bed with them because an old man like him shouldn’t be sleeping in a chair. stopping at diners, driving late into the night, deep conversations, falling asleep on people, fooling around in the back seat and the voyeurism of the third person pretending not to watch.

eddie and vincent teaching carmen how to play pool. maybe they’re the last ones left at a pool hall late at night. and their natural one-upmanship takes over.

anything post film where they keep running into each other. tripping up each other’s plans and grifts on purpose.

Hello there! Here we are again, because I love this muse and refuse to let him be ruined. A bit of craziness made me leave, three times, and it's not going to happen again. I've decided to tweak the rules a little bit, reword things a little and whatnot, so I'll apologize now if things sound harsh, but...well, that's a small apology, because apparently harsh is what I need to do. This is an independent blog. I like to avoid any sort of fandom drama, and even though I know the inFamous crowd is relatively small nowadays, I'm still going to say I'm not directly affiliated with them.

On the subject of fandoms: I do not care which you're in, or whether I know a single thing about it. I am very open to crossovers and absolutely adore writing the most unlikely of meetings, or creating verses and exploring different aspects of my muse when he's centered in another universe, and so forth. Please, come at me!

The same goes for OCs. I don't expect OCs to be perfectly polished and whatever. A lot of aspects can show and solidify as they interact with other characters and situations, and I am all about being part of that. So, yeah, OCs? Bring 'em here, let me love them.

Shipping: As much as I want to, I'm not going to say that I won't ship on this blog. Things happen, muses mesh - I'm not going to shoot it down if the chemistry is there and everyone is on board. Just know I'm...a little gun shy, so to speak, about shipping this muse, so it might take me a bit to really get behind it. Once I do, though, god help you. I will bombard you with random crap about our ship until you're absolutely sick of me.

Please do not force ships. That is all.

Replies may be slow. I work a lot, but I'll always try to pop on at least once a day. Whether I just lurk, send memes, or actually write, though... it'll vary by day. Patience is appreciated.

Minor godmodding is okay. Things like, assuming my muse passed yours something when prompted in a thread is generally okay. If I had a different plan, I'll definitely let you know but for the most part, it's cool. Anything more than that, and it'll be a problem

I will not write with anyone under 18. I myself am 21+ and it weirds me out, so for my own comfort, I prefer not to write with minors. Also, I am not going to shy away from subjects that may venture into 'adults only' territory - I'm not against smut, if things work out for it, down for violence and foul language, dark themes, and so on - so that's yet another reason I say 18+. Do not lie about your age. If I find out you have, I will block you, no questions asked.

I read everyone's rules and about pages, if they're available. Common courtesy, as far as I'm concerned, so I always make a point to do so.

Mutuals are welcome to my Discord, Telegram, Steam, etc., If they would like. Just hit me up and I'll be happy to give you my handle. Let me know who you are, though, if you add me, just so I don't have to play 'creep or not creep'.

I'm not gonna make you send in a password or anything to interact with me. Instead, I'm gonna do a little thing: if you're feeling up to it, throw a word at me in an ask, and I will write a little starter for our muses based around that word. I write smut with long term mutuals or when the other mun and I vibe on a certain level. This is my blog and I curate it as I want, as it's my outlet. I won’t let people police me in my own created safe space.If you want smutless threads, I’m all in. Plot heavy threads? Hit me the hell up! I’m open to anything. Just because I write smut I’m not disrespectful towards muns who value plot and development over smut or have themes/issues to explore with their muse.
