📽️ The Ottoman Lieutenant (2017)
I started watching this because I thought it was The Promise. I figured out pretty quickly that it wasn’t, but I kept watching it because I was curious. It actually ended up being very good. It’s definitely not as war-centric as some others, like The Promise, but the war is very present. The love story is more of the focal point, although it’s not overwhelmingly so. It has a good balance. I was surprised by this movie, but writing about it is actually making me want to watch it again. I would definitely recommend it.
Sex/nudity: 3/10 (implied sex, kissing, hugging, no actual nudity)
Language: ?/10 (I honestly cannot remember at all, and IMDb is completely blank in this section)
Violence: 3/10 (there are war scenes but not very graphic, some injuries and blood shown, a fist fight)
Overall rating: 7/10

Portrait of Hester Shaw
I love Mortal Engines, I've read the books and seen the movie. It's really great, the idea of a moving predatory city is so good in this post-post-apocalyptic universe. I loved following Hester and Tom's adventures until the end. The ending was heartbreaking but so beautiful too.
