“Love”

Y/N’s POV

“Are you sure?” I asked shocked. “Yeah. If I can trust you with my life, I can trust you with Duke’s life.” Calum says, handing me Duke. “Hi baby.” I said to Duke in a baby voice. “See, he loves you anyways. He’s in good hands.” Cal smiles at us. “But what about Mali? She usually takes care of him when you’re on tour.” “I know, but this way I don’t have to go all the way on a place there to pick up my boy. You’ll already be here. I just have to hop in my car, come here, see you, see my boy, all good. Happy Calum.” He smiles so cheeky. “You guys are going to have so much fun, no doubt.” He starts petting Duke. “Alright, I can’t say no to you, or Duke.” I finally cave in. “If you need more food or toys, or he just misses his home, you have the key to my place. More than welcome.” He says as I put Duke down to go run around and get familiar with my house again.

“And how long will you be on tour again?” I asked with a pout. “Why, you going to miss me?” He wraps his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. I just look up at him. “Just 3 and a half months and I’m right back here with you.” He pecks my lips. Duke starts to bark and stands on his back two legs, leaning on Calum’s legs. “And my best mate. I ain’t forget you.” He picks him up and kisses him repeatedly. “Wow, who do you love more?” I joke. “3 1/2 months.” He repeats to me. “FaceTime as often as we can. Promise.” He kisses my forehead. We then heard the bus horn. “Boys are outside. See you when I get back? Bye Duke. LOVE YOU!” “Have fun. Kick ass baby.” I gave him a long kiss. “I love you.” He spits out without hesitation, smiling. He grabs his luggages and bags and starts heading out the door. I’m still standing there shocked at what he just said. “Bye love.” He screams out, snapping me back into reality. I ran behind him, “Don’t forget your budgie smugglers.” I yell jokingly in a bad Australian accent. As he’s walking down the pathway to the bus, “I DON’T WEAR SPEEDOS!” We both start cracking up. The boys come out the bus and ran to me giving me a last hug before they go off on tour again. I walk back inside my house and Duke was watching out the window, whimpering. I sat next to him, petting him, “Me too Duke, me too...... I love you????” I start thinking.

“Duke look who’s that? Look, who’s that?” I start pointing at the phone, at Calum’s face. “Hey buddy, i miss ya!” Cal kept yelling. “Who’s a good boy, who’s a good boy.” He said and Duke went wild. “I think he misses you.” Both of us laughing. “Does someone else miss me?” He said with a smugly smile. “Do you want to know how much Duke and I miss you?” “Tell me.” His Australian accent came out. I turned the camera to show him I was in his place, in his room, lying on his bed, Duke lying on his bed. “Is that my room?” His accent got thicker. “Is that my BED?!” I barely understood his accent. I turned the camera back on me as I showed myself smelling his pillows. “Aw now you’re smelling it?” He cracks up. “We miss the smell of you.” I smiled. “Okaaaaay. You can stay the night.” “Even if you said no, you can’t do anything about it. No one here to stop me.” I stuck out my tongue. He just starts laughing uncontrollably. “My girl, man, my girl.”

“How’s Duke?” “He keeps shitting inside my house. I leave the sliding door open for him, but still shits on my carpets. I take him for walks, he pees, but doesn’t poop. Then we get back to my house, he shits!” I give him the details as he just keeps smiling like a fool. “So I’m hoping if I bring him here, he’ll shit on your stuff too.” He starts laughing again, “You’re horrible.” His accent resurfaces. “I just want to make sure it wasn’t just my place.” “Betta pick it up after so it don’t stink.” He says, looking up from the camera, as one of the boys sits next to him. He moves the camera a little to the left and Ashton pops up. He waves, “Hey Y/N. How’s it going?” “Hey Ash. Good good. Just in Calum’s room, lying on his bed with Duke cause we miss him.” Ashton looks at Calum, “Awwww, how precious.” He looks back at me,

“Hey Y/N, jealous?” He lays his head on Calum’s shoulder. “OO ME TOO!” I heard Luke’s voice. The camera moves to the right and Luke’s head is on Cal’s other shoulder. The camera goes wider and I see all three of them, “My man.” I said, laughing. “OURS!” Luke and Ash yelled back. Ash starts hugging Cal and quickly pulls away making Luke pull away. I just hear Michael in the back laughing really hard. I just look really confused as all the boys are cracking up. “Did we interrupt something?” Ash asks thru his laughs. He sticks his head in the camera, “Guess he misses you Y/N. Your man Cal here has a stiffy.” The 3 boys laughing even harder, Calum’s face turning red all around. My face goes awkward fast, cheeks going flush, smuggling my laughs. “Ignore them. I’ll talk to you later. Bye Duke. Bye my love. I love you.” Calum talks really fast. And before he ended the face time, all the boys yell, “OOOOOOO LOVEEEE,” then it goes unconnected. “I love you??????????” I stared at the ceiling, confused. I start laughing out of no where, “He had a stiffy.”

Duke starts barking out of nowhere, running around in circles in front of the front door. I look outside the window and see the boys’ bus outside, the driver helping Cal take out all his stuff. He waves bye to the boys and he starts walking towards the front door. I walk to the door and bend down petting Duke, trying to calm him down, “Who’s there? Who’s at the door? Huh? Who’s there?” The door flies open and Duke jumps on Calum. Cal drops on his knees, going crazy with Duke, kissing him, “Hey mate! I missed ya!! Were you a good boy for Y/N? Yeah, oh who’s a good boy??” Duke finally jumps off him and he looks at me, “Hello there.” He leans in and pecks my lips. He get up from the floor and we grab his stuff rolling them inside. After we put them to the side, Calum spins me to face him, lifts me by my ass, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrap my legs around his waist, and my arms around his neck as I look down on his face, smiling. “My love.” He says before we go in for a long kiss. After 2 minutes, I just down from his grip,

“Come here Duke,” I call out and he comes. I lift him into my arms, and we face Calum. He takes out his phone and takes a picture. “Beauty.” As he puts his phone away. “Kiss daddy.” I tell Duke and he licks Cal’s cheek. “Wanna see what I taught him?” He nods his head, crossing his arm. I put Duke down on the floor, “Sit.” He sits. “Shake.” He lifts up one of his paw. “Kiss mummy.” I say in an Australian accent. He licks my cheek. Cal stands there laughing, clapping his hands. He kneels down, “Duke, kiss daddy.” Duke runs to him and licks his cheek again. He points to me, “Kiss mummy.” Duke runs to me and licks all over my chin. “I can’t believe it. That’s amazing.” “He apparently only really understands what I’m saying if it’s in an Australian accent.” He starts laughing again. “Yessssss, my boy!!!!” He scratches the back of Duke’s ear. “Our boy now.” He wiggles his eyebrows at me, smirking.

We drove to Cal’s place, so he can put his stuff back and we spend the night there. We were lying on his bed, looking at the ceiling in silence. His head lying on my extended arm, as I was playing with his hair. I thought he was sleeping from the lack of sleep he had during tour. I start closing my eyes, “We should move in together.” I eyes shot open and I turned, to him still looking up at the ceiling, to make sure I was hearing right thru his accent. “Hmm?” I hum. “We spend all of our time together on our off days, we go back and forth from mines to yours. We might as well live together. I mean it’s been almost a year together. Why not, right?” He turns to look at me. “Move in together?” “Why not?” He sits up, back against the head board. “I mean, Duke and I love you. We are ALWAYS together. Why waste gas when we could just live together. We practically do, spending the night at each other’s places, days at a time.” I sit up, facing him, “Yeah, about that.... LOve?” My high pitched voice came out.

The Meeting Part 2

The past few days that Lacie had had off were like a mini vacation to her. She had told Sarah, her best friend that she had known for a very long time, all about the encounter with the CEO known as Cayde-6. Sarah wasn't much of a romantic person but she actually encouraged Lacie to see him again but urged her to also be careful.

She wanted to see him again. Something about him drew her to him and she still hadn't been able to figure it out. Sighing, the dark haired woman walked into the hospital and was greeted by her friends as she walked in then saw on her desk a vase of flowers with a small card placed inside the various types of flowers. Walking around and into the work area she looked confused as her co workers eyed her curiously.

The flowers were a mix of sunflowers, red roses, and some pink carnations. Interesting combination, she thought to herself. Kalia, her work sister rolled over and elbowed her

"Well? What does the note say girl. I'm assuming these are from a guy."

Giggling she took out the note and opened it

'Lacie, thank you for the wonderful evening. Seriously don't worry about my scarf and don't worry about you know unintentionally calling me an asshole. I seriously had an amazing time and I hope to do it again. If you ever have some spare time come see me sometime. I'm on the top floor in suite 450. See you soon ;)'

Blushing, Lacie handed the note to her friend and watched kalia smirk like a predator about to pounce on it's prey.

"ooooooo you little minx. Snagging the eyes of a big wig CEO. You'd better take that delightful derriere over there right now."

"Please. I have to work."

The dark haired woman reached out to grab her chair when suddenly kalia kicked her chair out of the woman's grasp.

"I'll cover for you. You haven't seen anyone since what's his face. Goodbye. Text me later."

Lacie opened her mouth to argue and sighed knowing it was useless. Kalia had a way of always winning.

"Alright alright. I'm going. I owe you one Kali."

The blonde woman waved her off and Lacie stepped outside and looked up at the sky. Exhaling she made her way across the street and walked inside the huge building.

*With Cayde*

Cayde was listening to his partner drone on in some boring meeting he wasn't really paying attention to when Sundance appeared and showed him some security footage, causing him to sit up suddenly.

Without saying anything cayde got up and started walking out.

"Cayde. This conversation is not yet concluded." Barked the blue skinned man who looked like he could charge a brick building and do more harm to the building than himself.

"Oh it is now. Something has come up."

Getting out of the room Cayde had Sundance appear again.

"What was the timestamp on that video?"

"About five minutes ago. It's refreshing seeing you so head over heels for someone you only met once."

Cayde ignored the jab from his ghost and made his way to his office to make a phone call down to security.

"Hey Jonas. There's a woman that just walked in she's wearing a beige trenchcoat and has on scrubs. Snag her and escort her up to my office please. Thank you."

Not giving the security guard time to ask questions cayde hung up and set about fixing his office up a bit. He tended to be a bit messy but not too bad, still he wanted to give her a damn good impression.

Sitting down he set about to waiting but making himself look busy when Ikora, a tall woman with dark skin and eyes that seemed to look right through you, slipped into his office shutting the door.

"So, who is this mystery woman you're all worked up over?"

Cayde scoffed and played it off like he didn't know what she meant.

"Not a clue whachu mean Ikora. Unless you're talking about my girl Sundance."

The woman in charge of the warlocks class placed her hands on his desk and looked at him. The woman was about to ask one more time when there was a knock on the door and the security guard escorted Lacie into his office.

Ikora watched the way Cayde stood and how his eyes never left her and knew she was going to mean a lot to the EXO.

"We'll talk later six."

Winking she walked out leaving the CEO with the light skinned woman.

Looking around, Lacie met his gaze impressed.

"I never thought I'd be an office like this..it's so big..."

Cayde laned back slightly propping his butt on his desk watching her chuckled.

"It's alright I suppose. I take it you received my gift."

She looked at him lightly blushing,"Yes.... thank you so much...you didn't have to send those.."

"Not send a beautiful woman flowers? The horror."

Together they laughed and a few minutes later a silence came across them.

"So um...Mr. Six..may I ask why you wanted me to come see you?"

Looking at her slightly surprised he looked up at the ceiling and closed his eyes. Why had he wanted to see her? The very thought of seeing her had made him feel something he hadn't felt in a very long time and he found himself growing anxious with each passing day he hadn't heard from her. Now that she was here, he just wanted to stay in her presence for as long as he possibly could.

"I wanted you to see that I wasn't that bad. I also wanted to see if you'd be interested in going on another date.."

Blinking surprised, Lacie looked at the EXO.

"Wait....are you serious...?"

Cayde nodded and eyed her nervously but tried to keep a straight face so she wouldn't know how much he wanted her to say yes.

Lacie looked at him and shyly nodded her head as her face turned a light pink.

"Okay.... I'd like that...only if I can choose the restaurant."

Supposing that was fair, Cayde nodded in agreement.

"Where did you have in mind?"

He thought for sure she was fixing to name off a couple of fancy places. He hated dressing up and going to places like that, but if it was what she wanted he would suck it up.

"Ramen. I wanna go to the spicy ramen shop."

Now it was Caydes turn to look surprised and he vocalized as such as well.

"Here I thought you'd want to go somewhere upscale instead."

A frown crossed her face, her eyebrows pinching together. Shit he'd insulted her. He didn't mean to but he's used to women using him for his money...

"I'd rather eat a restaurant we both like and that we'll both be comfortable eating at than elsewhere. I don't need to be wined and dined."

The EXO smiled and stood up straight walking towards her and he had to stop himself from touching her cheek the way he wanted to. He so wanted to cup her face with one hand and kiss her, but they still barely knew one another. He wanted to take things slow with her and see where it went. Sticking his hands in his pockets he nodded.

"Sounds good to me. Tomorrow night at let's say...6?"

She looked up at him with dark blue eyes and he saw so much in her eyes. Fear, a spark of interest, hope, and hesitation...the fear and hesitation is what he was cautious of. Something had happened to her in the past that caused her to have that kind of reaction and he had a feeling it wasn't going to be easy to get past those defenses she had put up.

"I was hoping this afternoon would be a good time to do a second date since I was given the day off."

He smiled at her again chuckling, "I can see what I can do. Why don't you have a seat and make yourself comfortable while I go wrap some things up."

Making quick work of letting Zavala and Ikora know he was leaving for the day he headed back towards his office when he saw Lacie talking to a couple of his Hunter's.

"Jordan, Katarina. You're back early from your overseas trip."

The blonde female turned and smiled, "You're making our missions too easy boss. And also we like this girl. You should hire her on. See ya later lace. Come on Jo leave the girl alone."

Pulling her partner away from Lacie the pair disappeared.

"What exactly do people who work here do?" Lacie asked timidly, still blushing from the encounter.

He had been waiting for this question and felt excitement ripple through all his circuits.

"Wanna see?"

Nodding she followed him taking his arm when he offered it to her and followed him down to a room full of television monitors.

"This is the control center, here is where I'm able to monitor my hunters coming and goings. Now what they do exactly is I assess them, determine where in the world they are needed and send them out to those locations and they do what the military can't. Titans and warlocks do the same thing but my hunters are meant for stealth, and other things."

Lacie looked at how passionately he talked about it but realized just how dangerous he was at the same time.

"So, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, you do assassination jobs and other dangerous jobs."

"What? Noooooooooo." He replied immediately causing the young woman to look at him sternly.

"Okay yeah...that's just scratching the surface of it though."

Equally impressed and slightly afraid she looked at this man that made her heart beat really fast and made her feel butterflies, she hadn't felt this way since...her ex. Shaking her head, she refused to go down this road again. A chime from her ghost startled her again and she saw a message from Shaxx. Sarah's boyfriend rarely messaged her unless it was important and she took her phone out and read the message.

"Oh God dammit Sarah. Mr. Six, I am so sorry, my best friend is in the hospital on the other side of town. I've gotta go."

"What? Well let me give you a ride. That's a long way to run."

Hesitating for a second she fought with herself then decided fuck it and agreed to let him take her.

Getting her into one f the limos l, they took off and cayde saw how worried she looked and reached over, holding her hand to comfort her.

"Tell me what happened."

Shaking but slowly relaxing she looked at him, "she...she was being stupid and reckless...my best friend is a bit of an adrenaline junkie and she was speeding on her motorcycle....racing some morons and she took a turn too hard and too fast...the car didn't see her...."

Cayde watched this woman start crying and knew he was not leaving her side. He moved from sitting across from her to sitting beside her and held her as she so bed into his chest.

"She'll be okay. I'll make sure of it Lacie...shhhh."

How he was going to accomplish this he had no clue but he was not going to let her sense that.

Arriving at the hospital she jumped out immediately and ran inside and in the waiting room he saw a tall, muscular man stand up and hold her close. He looked like he could crush even Zavala. After giving instructions to have his personal car brought here later to the driver cayde walked inside and over to Lacie.

The muscle builder guy looked at Cayde and then down at Lacie. "Is he with you?"

Lacie looked back at him slightly surprised and nodded, "Yes..Shaxx this is Mr. Cayde-6 CEO at the Tower and Mr. Six this is Lord Shaxx...or just Shaxx...he's Sarah's boyfriend."

Shaxx reached out and shook Caydes hand, intentionally squeezing a bit too hard. Cayde soon figured out this Shaxx was a big brother figure to Lace and had been for quite some time. This was gonna be an obstacle he was going to have to overcome later on but for now he was focused on Lacie and making sure she was okay.

"Nice to meet you Shaxx. I wish it were under better circumstances though."

Shaxx nodded and looked down solemnly.

"She's in surgery right now...I would have called but I was afraid of getting you in trouble...I'm sorry to have sent a text message.."

Touching his arm, Lacie comforted him, "No no it's okay Shaxx. It's okay...I'm here.. we're both here now. She'll make it...come on..let's sit."

After sitting there for a couple hours, Cayde woke Lacie up when the doctor came out taking his mask off.

Sitting up quickly, Lacie looked at the doctor and held Shaxx's hand.

Looking at the two of them the doctor finally spoke, "We....we did everything we could...I am sorry..."

"No...."

Cayde looked at the doctor then at Lacie and Shaxx.

"NOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Operation Promnata

Prompt: Shino and Kiba nominate themselves as Hinata’s wingmen as she asks her high school crush (your choice) to prom.

I wrote this for @narutoyearendbash!!!!

This is my first time actually writing something that’s more than a page long,, I hope others enjoy it. I welcome critiques!

Hinata sighed as she stared ahead, her elbow propped up on her desk and hand holding her head. “What’s up?” Kiba asked, as he suddenly appeared behind Hinata; startling her enough to make her squeak and sit up from her position. “N-nothing!” Kiba looked at her quizzically and then looked in the direction she had been staring. “Oh…. I see….” He laughed.

“What’s going on” Shino asked as he walked over towards the two. “Hinata was staring at her crush again haha” Kiba answered, pointing at Hinata as he laughed. Hinata hid in her jacket, thoroughly embarrassed by the situation.

“Kibaaa…. Stop….”

“You’re just too easy to pick fun at Hinata! But fine I’ll stop… for now.”

Kiba sat down on the chair beside her and put his feet up on the desk. His hand went up to his face and he started stroking his chin in a thinking matter.

“Y’know…. Proms coming up soon…. Why don’t you ask your crush to go with you?”

“W-what!?” Hinata instantly flushed red at the thought, “I.. I couldn’t! You know I couldn’t!”

“Well, why not! Me and Shino could help you out y’know make everything easy for you.”

“I would not be against this idea.” Shino added, “Why, because you’ve had this crush since 9th grade and it’s about time you’ve done something about it.”

“You guys….” Hinata sunk deeper into her seat. “I… can’t….”

“Sure you can!” Kiba shouted as he slapped her on the back, “And we’ll be right here to help you!”

The bell rang disrupting their conversation. Kiba got up and put his hand on Hinata’s shoulder, “just think about it okay” he said, as he went to go to his seat. Hinata sighed again as she sat up and brought her attention towards the teacher, trying to ignore the idea of asking her crush to prom.

It was the third class of the day, Kiba had Gym with Shino. Today was a free day, so they were allowed to do anything. Shino opted to sit on the bleachers. After a while of playing basketball Kiba decided to run up to Shino and join him on the bleachers.

“Okay Shino, here’s the deal. We gotta help Hinata with this crush thing.”

“I’m down, why? Because Hinata is my friend and I want her to be happy.”

“Yeah, yeah me too. So, to keep things simple I was thinking of calling this process of helping Hinata Operation Get Hinata To Ask Her Crush To Prom”

Shino stared at him for a minute, before giving his opinion.

“That is a bad code name, it is too long and complicated.”

Kiba sat there for a minute putting his hand up to his chin and his other hand on his knee, looking upward in a thinking fashion. “Okay… then we’ll call it…. Ah!” He put his pointer finger up and looked back at Shino. “Operation Promnata!”

“..... That is better I suppose.”

“Yes!” Kiba fist pumped and then smacked Shino’s shoulder. “Operation Promnata is a go! SO here’s what I think we should do…”

It was the end of the school day and Hinata was walking over to Shino and Kiba, the latter waving his hand impatiently as he waited for Hinata to get to their position. Once Hinata got to them Kiba spoke up. “Okay Hinata, we’re gonna help you ask your crush to prom before the weekend is over.”

“B-but-”

“No buts! We both think you need this and we’re here to help!”

“I…. I don’t know Kiba….”

This time Shino spoke up, “We want you to be happy Hinata, and we think your crush would be okay with taking you to prom. Why? Because your crush is a nice person and you’re a likable person.”

“Yeah!” Kiba shouted, “We don’t see why anyone wouldn’t like you, you could ask anyone and I’m sure they’d be down!”

“You guys….” hinata blushed and looked at the ground for a minute before furrowing her brow and looking back at the both of them.

“Okay!” She said, “I want help, please help me with this!”

Kiba did a small fist bumped and smiled widely, “Hell yeah! That’s the spirit Hinata!” “Now okay, let’s see….” Kiba began looking around as people were walking out of the school and talking in groups. He kept looking and looking until….. There! He finally spotted them. “Alright Hinata now watch this.” He said, as he walked up to a group talking in front of a black car.

“Hey! Naruto!” Kiba shouted, “you got a minute!?”

“Oh, hey dude!” Naruto replied. Naruto Uzumaki, the school’s famous idiot was standing with too other popular students. The most wanted boy in the school, Sasuke Uchiha; and the top student with the best grades, Sakura Haruno. Naruto waved as he replied to Kiba. “Yeah I got time, what’s up!?”

Kiba smirked as he talked to Naruto, “So hey, I know y’all three hang out at the gym right.”

“Yeah, we like to exercise ha”

“Right so like… You’re into sports and Sakura like mixed martial arts, so why don’t y'all come over to Hinata’s family’s dojo over the weekend? I think it’d be fun for y’all.”

“Oh yeah! I didn’t know Hinata’s family had a dojo, what do they practice there?”1

“They focus on Kung Fu, something really specific… I forget what it’s called… hold up” Kiba turned around and yelled at Hinata “Hey!!! What is it your family teaches!?!?”

Hinata blushed and began looking anywhere but his direction, “Um.. ah,...”

Thankfully, Shino decided to answer for her. “Ba Gua Zhang.”

“Right! Thank you Shino!” Kiba turned back to Naruto, “What he said!”

“Alright!” Naruto replied, “As long as Hinata is alright with that I’m always down to try new things. What do you say Sakura?”

“Yeah, it sounds fun.” Sakura replied. “I love traditional martial arts. I’d be honored to join if that’s okay.”

“Sweet,” Naruto turned to his other friend. “Sasuke?”

“I’ve already been over there since our families collaborate sometimes, but I’ll join you two.”

“Awesome!” Naruto looked over to Hinata and shouted with his hands cupped around his mouth “Do you hear that Hinata!? Is it okay if we all come over and practice with you!?”

Hinata looked flustered and stuttered, not being able to pop out an answer until Shino tapped her back roughly with his hand. “Y-Yes! That’s okay!”

“Awesome! We’ll stop by Saturday!”

“O-okay!”

“Alright, well we better be heading out right Sasuke?”

“Hm.”

“Yeah! Anyways see you Kiba”

“Right back at ya dude.”

Kiba ran back to where Hinata and Shino were standing as Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all go into Sasuke’s car.

“So…” Kiba said, “Saturday, that’s tomorrow right?”

Hinata went wide-eyed, “Tomorrow!? Oh…” Hinata looked down in worry.

Kiba patted her shoulder and gave her a thumbs up.

“Don’t worry Hinata, we got your back. We’ll come over tomorrow too! Right Shino?.”

“Yes.”

Hinata seemed a little relieved by that.

Hinata stood in her family’s dojo, wearing her traditional uniform. The dojo was also traditional, with hardwood floors and a few artistic wall hangings. It was very large however. Spacious enough to hold 2 classes and still have room for regulars to practice freely. Hinata was standing in an empty area where she figured she could practice with her guests for the day.

“Hey!” Kiba came running up to her Shino following behind him. She almost didn’t notice them as she was worried about teaching her crush, but Kiba’s loud voice was enough to break anyone out of thought. Kiba and Shino were regulars to the dojo of course, being childhood friends of Hinata’s, so they both sported their own traditional uniforms.

“I’m glad you two are here,” Hinata said, “I’m worried I don’t know what to do.”

“Well, you’ve teached small classes before right?” Kiba asked.

“Well.. yeah but…”

“But nothing!” Kiba said, “It’s just like then! Don’t focus on the fact that your crush is gonna be in this little practice lesson! Just focus on teaching!”

“Kiba’s right,” Shino added, “You already know how to do this, because you’ve taught others before. This is the same as then.”

“.... Okay… Yeah… You two are right, I know how to do this.” Hinata seemed a little more confident, but as soon as she saw her three guests come in she still squeaked.

“Man… I didn’t know y’all had your own uniforms, you should’ve told me to buy one.” Naruto complained to Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura chuckled “Sorry Naruto, I thought it was obvious you would need one.”

“Ugh..” Naruto spotted Kiba and went up to him ready to complain.

“Kibaaa none of y’all told me I needed a uniform, I had to borrow from their extras that they rent out to everyone. I don’t wanna know how ,any people have worn this before me.”

Kiba laughed “Sucks to be you Naruto. But I feel ya, I had to do the same when I first came here.” Kiba snickered, “Of course, then I was a kid and they always have plenty of new ones for kids…” Naruto dropped his head in despair as he thought about how many grown sweaty men had worn the uniform he’s wearing now, tears dramatically falling from his face.

“So Hinata, “ Sakura spoke up, “You’re going to be teaching us a few moves huh?”

Hinata blushed, but answered right away.

“Y-Yes! I thought we could start with stances and then I could teach you a few simple moves.”

Naruto perked up at the thought of actually training now.

“Alright I’m ready! Let’s go!”

“O-Okay so….” Hinata explained some stances studying everyone closely in the stances so she could correct them, blushing heavily as she did so.

Naruto was sloppy, but he got it after some corrections, Sakura and Sasuke were perfect. But of course they would be… Hinata thought, Sasuke’s been here before and Sakura.. She’s already knows other forms of martial arts, she’s probably used to stances like this. Kiba and Shino were also perfect, as they had also been here before many times.

After stances they practiced some moves, Naruto and Sakura got the hang of them quickly while the other three had already learned them well, but still practiced anyways.

Once they were done, Hinata declared that they all did a good job. “I’m surprised by how quickly you two were able to learn... “ Hinata added talking to Naruto and Sakura. “Of course!” Naruto replied, “We’re top students!” He said as he wrapped his arm around Sakura.

“I’m a top student.” Sakura added, taking his arm off of her shoulder, “You’re just good at athletics.”

“Same thing!”

“Right….”

“E-either way..” Hinata interrupted their bickering, “it’s still impressive.

They both thanked her with a smile and she blushed heavily.

While that exchange had gone down, Kiba had leaned over to Shino and whispered; “I think it’s time for phase two of Operation Promnata” He spoke up so everyone could hear him. “So, everyone did so well, why don’t we celebrate a job well done?”

Naruto perked up at this, “How about we get rame-”

“No.” Sakura quickly interrupted Naruto, already knowing what he was about to say.

“Well,” Kiba said, “I was thinking we could all go out to karaoke, we could get food there.

“It’s not ramen, but I’m still down!” Naruto said, grinning.

“I think that sounds fun.” Said Sakura.

“Sure, whatever.” Sasuke added/

“What do you say Hinata?” Kiba asked, looking directly at her now.

“I….” She fumbled with her hands looking at everyone nervously before looking back at Kiba who winked at her once they made eye contact. She realized he was trying to help her out. “Okay, t-that sounds nice.”

“Awesome! I’ll meet y’all all outside of the locker rooms then.” Kiba said.

They were all walking to a karaoke place now. Naruto and Sakura chatted as Sasuke listened, while Kiba was pumping up Hinata with some tips on how to woo her crush. They walked in the establishment and Shino generously paid for a room for all of them. As soon as they got in Naruto was ready to go, already looking through songs. He laughed and turned to Sasuke, “Hey Sasuke we should sing this song!” He pointed at the tablet and on it was Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life. Sasuke read it and pushed Naruto. “Shut up you dweeb.” Despite his annoyance he let out a little smirk at Naruto’s little joke. Sakura laughed at them two. Hinata watched all this happen and blushed.

Naruto eventually picked a song and sang his piece. As he was singing Sakura was looking through the songs. “Oh!” Sakura said, as a song peaked her interest. “Hey Hinata, would you like to sing this song with me?” She showed the tablet to Hinata and on it was Disney’s Hercules I Won’t Say I’m In Love. “O-Oh… Um” Hinata blushed once again and hid her face behind her hand” Kiba looked over her shoulder. “Oh yeah!” He said, “Hinata love’s that song, she’s really into Disney. “Me too!” Sakura replied. “I’ll let you take the lead part!”

“I-”

“Come on Hinata who else could sing that song with her but you” Kiba said as he slapped her back. “We’re all a bunch of boys it’d be weird.”

“O-okay.” Hinata agreed, blushing profusely.

They sang together, Hinata taking the lead. Sakura singing backup, looking at Hinata each time she had a line. She got really into the role, but Hinata shied away and looked down each time Sakura looked at her. Once they were done both Naruto and Kiba were cheering them on while Shino clapped. Hinata quickly hid behind her hands and sat back down. Kiba sat down next to her and grabbed her hands, lowering them from her face. “We’re almost ready Hinata next is phase 3.”

“Phase 3?” Hinata asked, not knowing of their little operation.

“First we let everyone rest with some food and then we get you ready to ask your crush to prom!”

“K-Kiba!” Hinata quickly looked around to make sure no one was listening, but Naruto and Sakura were both trying to convince an unwilling Sasuke to sing. Shino had silently sat down on her other side apparently. “It’s okay Hinata” Shino said, “Why? Because we will set everything up for you.”

Hinata looked down for a second before looking up and asking, “Can we get ice cream?”

Kiba laughed as he grabbed her shoulder, “that’s the brave Hinata I’m proud of!” He then turned around to see Sasuke singing unenthusiastically as Naruto and Sakura laughed and clapped along.

Kiba yelled at them, grabbing their attention. Interrupting a now grateful Sasuke. “Hey guys! Y’all want ice cream? Shino’s paying!.” “Alright!” Naruto and Sakura both shouted, pumping their arms in the air.

They ordered their ice cream, thankfully they didn’t have to leave because the karaoke place had quite a few choices on their menu. Naruto and Sakura were chatting once again, but this time Sasuke had got into an interesting conversation with Shino.

“Alright Hinata, it’s time.” Kiba said as he leaned over towards her.

“R-right, I’m ready.” Hinata said, being confident in herself for the first time since they went to the karaoke place.

“Hey, Naruto!” Kiba said switching seats to start a conversation with Naruto, but winking at Hinata before leaving. Hinata was still nervous though, so she looked to Shino who gave her a thumbs up. She gulped and turned to Sakura, who was now sitting beside her thanks to Kiba moving.

“Sa-a-akura…” She started, getting the know lonesome Sakura’s attention.

“Yeah Hinata?”

“I was wondering… who you thr-three were going to prom with.” She asked, fiddling her spoon in her ice cream.

“Oh well, I assume Naruto, Sasuke, and I are just going to go as a group. Why do you ask?” Sakura smiled as she thought those plans were gonna change, cause surely Hinata was gonna ask her about Naru-

“Will you go with me”

“Huh?’ Sakura looked at her, surprise clearly written on her face. “W-what?” She asked.

Hinata blushed and looked down. “To p-prom I mean… will you go w-with m-me.”

Sakura blushed too this time. “O-oh” But then she laughed and her blush went away, “I thought you were gonna ask me if Naruto would be willing to take you, I didn’t know you wanted to make it a girl’s night! Maybe I can get Ino to come along too, though she probably has a date alre-”

“N-no!” Hinata said suddenly putting her hand up.

Sakura looked at her with surprise once again.

“I-I mean you got it wrong Sakura.” Hinata held her hand up to her chest and looked away. “I… I l-like Naruto but… I realised in middle school that I just looked up to him. I w-wanted to be him, for him to guide me… but I don’t want to be with him.. Like that I mean…”

Hinata looked back up at Sakura, this time with confidence in her eyes.

“I like like you Sakura… and I want to go to prom with you as y-your date.

Sakura began to blush again, but this time even harder as she realized Hinata was serious.

“I… didn’t think you thought of me like that….” Sakura said.

Hinata’s confidence began to waiver as she waited for Sakura’s reply.

“I-it’s okay i-if you don’t w-want to go with m-me though…”

“I would love to go with you!” Sakura said to both of their surprise.

“Y-you would!?” Hinata asked, her eyes wide.

“Yes! I think you’re sweet and.. I…. like girls…” Sakura said as she looked away this time.

“....You’re…. Cute….” Sakura muttered.

Hinata blushed more than she ever blushed that day after hearing that. But then she smiled. Sakura looked up to see her smile and smiled too.

“So.. prom then?” Sakura said.

“Yes!” Hinata replied.

Sakura laughed… “Man, who would’ve thought you’d ask me out first.” To which Hinata blushed.

Prom was going to be great, she thought.
