Idk i like the idea that the whole cutting off the arm thing was more of a psychotic break, lack there of better words. Like he just kept hitting a wall, progress-wise. Which being a problem solver, with all the answers for everything; hitting a brick wall absolutely tore at his psyche. So when he flipped through his blueprints for the 20th time that day, he saw the gunslinger blueprint, and something just clicked

even though Daniel hasn't done much for the plot, I really like him! Kindly big brother characters are always a weakness of mine and the way he tried to look after baby Lyla in both the LN and the manhwa just because he wanted to give her a better life made my heart melt for him!

Really hope the manhwa gives more info on him and who he was (/who he used to be in the OG story) because there's a lot left to desire of his character in the LN and him becoming Lyla's bodyguard sounds like such a good idea to get him more fleshed out and involved in the plot!

Hey, a person who is baffled by lineless styles here. You have a more lineless style and I noticed you do still use darker lines to separate overlap stuff so the cats don’t become amorphous blobs. Is there a certain amount you tend to make the lines darker? Or is it like black at a lower opacity? Also when drawing darker cats (or anything else too), do you have any tips for not making them so dark you can’t see the lines or is it just kinda trial and error? Also sorry if this is a lot of questions, just one more, is there any technique or tool or something you use to make the lines stop exactly where the overlap stops, or do you just do it by hand and kinda get better at it with practice?

IF YOUR SCREEN IS DARK, our girl still looks pretty ... Dark.. BUT you can always make contrast more extreme! AS FOR THEEEEE LINE TECHNIQUE.. ogh i don't think i know what you mean. MAYBE I DO?? the 'shading' lines are pretty much just done how you'd do lineart lines! if you overshoot and they cross where they shouldn't, erase :3 ALSO GUYS WORKING WITH BINARY BRUSHES IS SOOO SMOOTH JSYK. i accidentally drew shine's face on his head layer and i just had to select and copypaste it onto a new layer to fix that. bc there's no aliasing, the lines can perfectly transfer without needing a touchup for jagged edges

Hey I’m a beginner digital artist and I’m hoping you can answer a few questions! Sorry in advance. When you first started did you dislike your line art too? I sketch neatly and I like the way it looks but when I line it’s so bad to me? Also what canvas size do you use? Thank you if you choose to answer 🩵

hi! no problem, i actually started out by disliking my line art as well! for the longest time I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. i even switched to doing lineless art because it was so frustrating to me. the sketch can be so good but something feels off once you line it. theres a certain stiffness to it. i think it's cus being able to do lineart "well" requires a completely different skill set than for example sketching or coloring, so it's something you need to spend time learning and studying. this is why inking and coloring are separated in comics. not everyone is able to master them all at once. i eventually forced myself to do digital line art with the stabilization off, i did line art studies and exercises so my lines became less stiff. figuring out what kind of lineweight and amount of detail fits your style and finding a brush that works for you really helps. after a lot of experimenting i got into a flow where I felt more confident in my lines, and like with anything else, the more you do it the better you get 💪🏽

as for canvas size, i tend to start around 2500x2500px 300dpi and scale up/down as I go ^^ hope that helps and good luck on your journey!

Sorry for the ask as anon, I'm really shy and don't want to be perceived. Just wanted to say that I really like your art. I think it's really cool and it reminded me that Twisted Wonderland is a game to play and not a stagnant thing that I can info dump about to unsuspecting people :3 And your Rollo drawings are really cute and make me hungry because his name makes me think of candy

Ahdhsv thanks ! It's ok I'm shy too and I almost always overthink every word I write whenever I have/try to answer ppl :') Tumblr is mostly an introverted people site anyway, I think-

But hey, I'm happy if my little drawings makes people happy or help ! Imo twst can be enjoyed any way you want wether it's as a game you get invested into with the cards and stuff or just vibe w/ the fandom and appreciate the characters and stories through maybe fics or art or anything ! No need to even play the game.

Though the game does have aspects I appreciate like the guest room or judt being able to have your guys on the main screen and poke them non-stop, sometimes it also reminds me that "oh right this character is like that I kinda forgot" or just appreciate their seiyuus. (I try to guess who says "twisted wonderland" whenever Iopen the game and fail miserably necause I play 90% of the time w/ no sound :))))

+ When you look at it you see how much effort was put into the game and that it is loved, I'm honestly loving the lineless backgrounds !! + the costumes for event cards are always detailed, there was research put into the harveston or masquerade outfits !! (And the others as well tbh) + the soundtrack !!! Idia's dorm theme my beloved, I should really start chapter 6.....

(Though I get the infodump part, I have nobody I know irl playing the game so from time to time I do infodump on a friend (sorry 🙏))
