But funny thing is, I actually just reworded the Queen’s section of the song to fit Aster, everything else is pretty much the same, except every “He, Him, His” referring to Magnifico is now “They, Them” referring to him and Amaya.

Oh, and also Simon is here now, because how dare you Disney? You get Evan Peters to voice our sleepy boy and then deliberately makes the only teen that doesn’t sing? Shame on you.

Also Dario in my rewrite is mute, that’s why he doesn’t sing at all here… Huh, ironic.

(i'm typing this with like proper grammar and all that cause like readability lmfao but that isn't how i normally type unless its like an essay or something) Right now I'm in the STEM track with a primary focus in veterinary sciences and a secondary focus in battle studies. And I'm vice-captain of our Cyclizar racing team! If you haven't noticed by now, I like Dragon-types. I really like Dragon-types :D

Other than my Cyclizar (her name's Spitfire!) I have two Pokemon, my Alolan Raichu (named Chip) and my Dreepy (named Zeppelin). AND in addition to those three, I have five other Pokemon, but they're kinda retired and live in Alola with my parents, but they're Pebble (Lycanroc), Jitters (Golisopod), Chloro (Lurantis), Grampy (Drampa) and Hibiscus (Kommo-o). I call Chip and those five the Big Six, 'cause they're the Pokemon I used while on my Island Challenge.

Speaking of my Island Challenge though, I was born in Nimbasa City, but I moved to Alola when I was... I wanna say maybe two or three? I dunno, I don't remember the moving part. Also, I've got an older brother and a baby sister.

Regarding the above point! For some context, Aspen has actually existed for over a year at this point, and has had a blog just as long. I was originally using him on the blog this post was made on. In February (2024) I decided to create a main blog that I would use Aspen on instead, but in the past few months, I've been feeling kind of stuck about Aspen and it just hasn't been fun to RP as him. As a result, I've soft rebooted this blog (and a few blogs connected to him have also been soft rebooted for similar reasons). If you knew Aspen before this reboot, please be mindful of that fact that since he's been rebooted multiple aspects of his lore and backstory have changed and might continue to change over the course of this blog. This is why all posts from before June 5th are no longer considered canon to this blog!

A little update on our system

Heya, I'm here to give a bit of an update! Aster is no longer our host and I'm currently front stuck- which likely means I'm the new host. This is good news for Aster who's been tired of being the host for a while and has wanted a break. However, this is probably going to be a bit of a change for us in general because I'm not like Aster at all lol- We'll also have to see how the change in hosts affects our soulbonding, as Aster was the only one who soulbonded before. We'll still be running this blog, though y'all might see less posts from Aster, but possibly more posts from us overall- I am an avid Tumblr user after all. Oh! Also Atlas accidentally created a cat person headmate- so we have a willogenic member now too.

Anyways, I'll introduce myself a bit and then pass the mic (our body) over to my second in command, Danny.

I'm Vernon or Damascus (I like both names equally), a poltergeist and creepypasta oc introject/soulbond. I'm one of 10 residents in our system, and the newest main host. I use it/thing/one pronouns. 1. I'm going to give my take but I'm not a system (though I am questioning but that's a post for another day.../lh) so I'll leave the notes open for anyone to correct me (and add a couple system tags for reach)! In my opinion, no, that's not impersonating a system. From what I understand you're just making OCs which happen to be inspired by your kintypes and that seems perfectly fine to me! If it's about changing your identity, then genderfluid people use different names and pronouns on different days too.

2. Yes!! They're called kinsonas!! To my knowledge they are at least LOL. I think they're more common in the fictionkin community but you can do it for any kintype. It's really just creating with your kin as the muse! I have 2 OCs in a story based on my 2 highest kintypes.

Add-on to the 2 above: Aster isn't my real name, it's part of my werewolfsona I use to run this blog! I'm considering it as a chosen name but this is the only place Aster exists. Also if you're a spiritual origins kin, the feeling like they're characters might be past life memories but I'm not the person qualified to talk on that.

3. Yep! Not sure if you mean labels or kintypes but it works for both! The otherkin label is often used as an umbrella term that encompasses therianthropy so technically you could already call yourself otherkin! Otherwise it's totally possible to have otherkin kintypes as well as theriotypes. It's no different to having more than 1 theriotype, it's just something other than an animal on earth. My kinlist encompasses theriotypes, otherkintypes, fictotypes & even an objectkin!

Also I think a shapeshifter as a species would already be considered otherkin as it's not a species found on Earth/in nature (to our knowledge at least)!

I don't trust alex aster to write anything, but at least in lightlark she had that awkward arbitrary structure of the """""game""""". maybe the shadow demon threat will require a ritual that is also suspiciously game like?

Heya! Ok, so this may be an odd ask, but how do you think the story would play out if the villains won in the final battle scene? Like, they would probably succeed at absorbing Aster's powers at some point, so would he... die? Or would he still keep his physical form, but he becomes super weak and drained? Or maybe the evil couple take him as a prisoner so that they can drain his powers bit by bit to avoid the whole "going insane" side effects that come with taking a star's powers (lol the angst!!). And what would happen to Asha? Would they kill her or maybe she would get away and regroup with the gang? I guess if the latter happens, this could lead to an interesting arc where Asha and her friends attempt to rescue Aster from the clutches of the royal couple. I'd assume he would probably be hidden in the castle somewhere (.... in a tower maybe haha??? Tangled reference 👀) or maybe he'd be somewhere else all together. Anyways, sorry for rambling, I'm super curious to hear your thoughts!!

Heya! I loved Aster Asks and what you posted of the Kiss/Curse/Cute comic. I wanted to ask, and I hope this isn't rude: are you still working on an iteration of that setting? I find something hugely appealing and inspirational in Charmside and what it representes ^^

that is in fact The Thing i'm working on right now! i had a bit of a realization that comics just weren't the right fit for me and what i want to do with my storytelling going forward, so much of this year has been spent developing other skills i can use to put together... Something Else. if you've read Aster Asks!, you've already seen sort of a prototype of what my idea here is. i want to take that kinda paginated illustrated prose concept, add music and sound effects, and clean up the presentation into something that's like a low-fi visual novel that you can run in your browser by clicking exactly one hyperlink.

once the system is all finished, i'm planning to relaunch CURSE/KISS/CUTE in this new format. the comic petered out after only a few pages because i realized early on that i wanted to make this switch, and if there's one thing i've learned, it's that the sooner you do this kinda thing, the better.

WHAT IS DID?

DID, full name Dissociative Identity Disorder, (formerly Multiple Personality Disorder or Split Personality Disorder) is a disorder where you have multiple "personas" within your mind. This "personas" are called "alters" or "headmates" (headmates is more community-coined, while alters is more medically-coined). Each alter has their own past, character traits, likes and dislikes.

You can have as little as 2 alters within a single system or you can have more than 2,000 alters within a system. Different alters will "front" (become the main personality) during different times. Some alters may be triggered to front if the threat of abuse arises, or they may front to help get a specific task done.

DID AMNESIA

Majority of DID systems will experience some form of amnesia. There are 6 types of amnesia: localised, selective, continuous, systematised, generalised, and dissociative fugue.

Localised amnesia is best described as forgetting a specific event or series of events. This could be anything from a single traumatic event to a time period in which abuse occured.

Selective amnesia is best described as forgetting parts of a specific event or series of events. This could be anything from specific details being forgotten or general details being forgotten while the specifics stay intact.

Continuous amnesia is best described as forgetting constantly. There can be a trigger for this type of amnesia, but there isn't always a trigger.

Systematised amnesia is best described as forgetting memories of a particular category or person. For example, a system may forget all memories of a specific person or concerning a specific subject.

Generalised amnesia is best described as an individual forgetting themselves entirely. Well established skills can be lost, as well as smaller memories (what you ate for lunch, who you talked to 5 minutes ago, etc). This form of amnesia is considered rare.

Dissociative fugue is extremely rare, only affecting 0.2% of the population. During an episode of dissociative fugue, the victim may wander around confused and bewildered. They may experience memory loss and an inability to recognise people they know. This type of amnesiac episode can last a few hours or even months. During the episode, the victim will act relatively normal, but once it recedes, they may be left in a confusing situation (perhaps they got a new job or a new home and now the victim has no idea what is going on).

CAUSES OF DID

The believed cause of DID is severe, prolonged exposure to abuse in childhood. This could be a specific abuse type or general abuse.

TREATMENT FOR DID

The most common treatment for DID is psychotherapy (talk therapy). Some systems may attempt integration or fusion. Integration is basically "combining" two or more alters. This means the personality, trauma, quirks and everything else that makes the alters integrated becomes a part of a "new" alter, one that is a combination of the alters. Fusion, on the other hand, is when alters come so close together that they act as one person, with thoughts intermingling and seemingly coming from one personality. This is not always the best thing for a system. Sometimes functional multiplicity is a better goal.
