hi! have you thought about florist mickey lately?

florist mickey saving fresh flowers for ian, because he knows that he's going to come in looking for a fresh batch for the bar. making sure that he gathers the brightest ones. dahlias this time around. he picks the most pigmented ones, trims the stems, picks off any drying leaves, and sorts them into little bouquets. delicately tying them together, ready for the hand off.

and he'll act like "psshh gallagher" it's not big deal. "psshh gallagher" our supplier brings them to us like that. "psshh gallagher" don't look at that shipment that's about to arrive of flowers very much not sorted in intricate arrangements.

but ian will know. he'll know and he'll swoon and he'll smile that big smile of his and give him a smitten "thanks, mick!" little hearts floating above his head.

anyway, have you thought about that lately?

skdjaslkdjasldj julissa 😭😭😭 i have thought about florist mickey every single day. i have a sketch burning a hole in my...well i dont keep it in my pocket..but theres a picture of it on my phone which i *do* keep in my pocket so YES yeah i got a sketch burning a hole in my pocket and i keep thinking about him in his little shop, how colorful it is but also how the backdrop to all those pops of color would be so overwhelmingly green. (mickey loves green) and i think about how the air in his shop would probably be a bit humid, and how it would smell floral but also earthy. and ian probably loves that smell. its pleasant and a bit of a novelty living in the city but he also quickly forms an association with it to mickey. maybe when mickey heads over to the bar after closing up shop ian can just barely smell it on him when he first walks in and sits down? he probably looks forward to the faint little gust of scent every day and doesnt even realize it at first. i've thought a little about bartender ian too. the bar is all warm tones and lots of wood. he perpetually has a little bar towel over his shoulder. he's so charming with the bar patrons, everyone loves him. mickey watches him have dozens of easy breezy friendly micro-conversations with people every night and is in awe that ian never seems to get tired of it. which is especially fascinating to mickey who finds the customer-facing part of his job to be generally unpleasant more often than not. mickey doesnt really know how it happened so fast but he went from having a quick beer and a little chit-chat with ian every night to actually just hanging out in his spot (when did he stake a claim to his own spot??) at the bar, slowly nursing a couple beers, letting ian orbit him all night. watching each other while they both internally puzzle out how much attention they can actually pay to the other while still maintaining a little bit of dignity. (this ship has sailed and the poor idiots dont even know it). so yeah uhuh yup yes i uhm..i have been Thinking 🙃

9. favorite scent and why does the scent of a person count? i miss my bestie's smell (she passed away). we used to have sleepovers and i'd sleep in her bed and i still remember how she smells and i can *almost* smell her just thinking about it. there's nothing like the smell of a person you love <3

what we do in the shadows! (i suppose i started in november 2021 but close enough) but waiting for a new episode every week really stretched out the new season and it was sooo worth it. every character is so !!!! iconic !!!! every episode is so whacky and catches me off guard

honorable mentions bc ugh they're so good and i've probably watched around 50 shows this year and i need to scream about more than just one: only murders in the building (love a lil murder mystery and also hi selena gomez), killing eve (would have been number one except i didn't care about any character except villanelle), heartbreak high (ugh teen angst), heartstopper (wholesome!), black mirror (inSANE), the good place (i love feeling insane), santa clarita diet (what even IS THIS), russian doll (killer soundtrack), wednesday (iconic), drag race (covergirllll), bridgerton (vibes), schitt's creek (hehe), modern family (nightly routineeee), stranger things (new season was iconic)

Hiii!! 🥹🥹🥹 omg i should totally make more paper dolls of ian and mickey!! thank you for this very pertinent reminder🙏😌 right now the paper boys are in the drawers on my desk (ack! free them!!) i did have them displayed on the side of my computer tower for awhile but i took them down so they could be hi-res scanned for stickers and i have just failed every single day since then to put them back up. but thank you again, another good reminder 😆 And yes I actually have made paper dolls before! i really love paper dolls as a concept. they're just so fun and easy and you can get really creative with them while still keeping things simple!

here's some paper dolls i made one million years ago to sell as prints at conventions.

maybe next time i do ian and mickey dolls i need to make full sets with extra clothes and little tabbies and everything?? hmmmmm!! something to think about for sure 🤔
