A little swap au, baxter is now noodle and pentious has gills

You could probably interpret it as a slight death swap, pent drowning in 1888 or so and baxter crushed by machinery maybe on the boat itself before it well and truly sank but honestly you can have fun with this idea.

I based baxter more on caduceus staffs and gorgons since they are much more about medical practices, seeing, being left to rot by higher powers whereas I based pentious more on his design

The cobra hood basically makes up his hair and a large amount of his shape language is spent their so a manta ray just made sense from a design perspective, they are also called sea devils but are filter feeders which kinda fits him nicely someone who wishes to cast a large shadow and presence but ultimately can’t be as monstrous as a true predator. The rest of his design takes after tropical eels which is as bright and slippery as his personality lol

Meet Baxter🐟🧪

Meet my take on Baxter, an old Vivziepop character shown in the past, at the moment a background character in the show, many believe he could join due to concept art and suppose scrapped episode concepts online. In my take, I’m making him part of the group! Ngl his designs been one of my favs because of the fish motif and color scheme.

Character:

I can see my Baxter act as the Hotel’s medical expert. Perhaps the closest so far they have to a medical professional. He dabbles a lot in Biomedical/Chemsitry science in contrast to Pentious who’s more of an inventor. Fun fact, Baxter also died in the 1900’s and his names of English origins so he and Pen could’ve known eachother! Supposedly Bax died via boating incident, drowning.

I can imagine Charlie got him to join, speaking to his scientific interests, making him invested in the hotel as one of his newest and greatest experiments yet. Can a Sinner be redeemed and go to Heaven?

I def want him and Sir P to become science buddies and do all kinds of crazy experiments. I can see him be a mix of Kreiger from Archer , Abed from Community along with some bits of what he’s supposedly like from the wiki. I can see him have a voice like Richard Steven Horvitz(Invader Zim, also does Moxxie in Helluva Boss), Paul Rugg(Freakazoid) or perhaps David Tennants Voice(Dr. Who!) “ Baxter's personality is considered still in development, but Vivziepop likens him to the character Myron Reducto from the show Harvey Birdman in his mannerisms. He is a screechy, neurotic, fidgety, anti-social "gremlin" and an all-round mess. He is introverted and wants nothing to do with anyone, preferring to do science alone in peace”.

Design:

His design has always been one of my favourites, especially because of the color scheme, the fish theme and blues are amazing!

Made his eyes dark for a flowy effect and to make them more fish like.

Removed the red ❤️

Added wet marks on his coat aswell as some tatter.

Added webbing for her gloves and feet protection.

Made his hat more like a bowler/derby hat. Was popular 1900’s style.

Added more bioluminescence. Added a gradient affect with the fins.

For my Gang I’m going for a rainbow motif, he represents Blue as he’s a sea creature and the color blue can often symbolize intelligence but also things such as stubbornness and timidity.💙🌈

Gave him more an underbite. I can imagine in his full demon form it becomes bigger with more teeth sticking out and more eery glow!

Added lil nostrils.

Made his hair more fin like!!!!

Fun fact, Only female Anglerfish have the lights. TRANS BAXTER 🏳️‍⚧️ ⚧️ . I can also see him be Intersex and mainly goes by He/him pronouns. here’s Baxter concept art. He’s the guy in blue.

I’ve also done some of the rest of the gang such as Alastor(links for the others in his page) and even other characters such as Mimzy who was also once suppose to be a main character.

So I've been getting a lot of Hazbin and Helluva content in my YouTube feed recently and, as an interesting but also kind of disappointing fact, the way a Sinner dies directly influences how they appear in Hell. If you drown on a sinking ship like Baxter (scrapped side character who still has an enamel pin for some reason?), you might have an aquatic fishy look. Angel Dust died of a drug overdose, and he now has a prominent heart on his chest symbolizing the heart attack he died from

So, like. Obviously there are cool ideas on how maybe you could catch attention or appear down there, but, could you imagine how fucked you would be with like literally any yandere HH/HB character if you go down there very obviously dead from suicide. Platonic, romantic, sexual, it doesn't matter. You can't keep that shit secret

Charlie meets you and you're like a zebra with horizontal stripes and she thinks you just look so neat and interesting, and wow you're so sweet amd fun actually, what are you doing down here? And then she sees you have stripes going vertically down one or both of your forearms and she suddenly feels a little hope die inside of her because, what does it MEAN for someone like you to be in HELL for... suicide? That's not your fault! That's so sad! She would vow to be your new best friend and do her best to give you an amazing afterlife to make up for all the time you didn't get to have "up top"

Angel accidentally walks in on you changing and sees you have a heart on your chest and is in instant sibling mode because he knows the second Val sees that he'll go crazy for it since he loves that aesthetic (Also extra bad luck if you're chesty and the heart is like in between your boobs or like you know nestled in your cleavage or whatever because then you're getting forced into constant push-up bras) but, also, if you were an addict, that means you're vulnerable. For Val, that makes you a target, and for Angel that means you're probably miserable and spiraling like him and he doesn't want to see you go down the same roads he has

Alastor who meets a version of you that has a certain old timey kinda twang or is kinda theatrical and showtuney in your voice/mannerisms and maybe you glow a little and it's because you put your radio in the bathtub 💀 definitely don't let your extra special "platonic friend" find out you killed yourself from crippling loneliness, partially caused by not having a partner!

Valentino who sees you're literally blue-faced with a certain pattern around your neck and instantly knowing that this interesting little cutie he's curious about is an emotionally vulnerable mark. It won't be TOO hard to pour drinks down your throat and maybe lend you some of this joint until you're spilling all your intimate secrets, he figures

Blitz already has multiple instances of family trauma and feeling rejected and isolated, so how do you think he's gonna empathize if you're some.... yellow skinned aquatic demon who literally drank like a fish and died of liver failure/alcohol poisoning. The imp watching you get piss drunk all over again and bawling how you're a failure and no one will love you? You're crashing on his couch tonight cuz he doesn't wanna leave you alone. And also the next night. And the next. And the next.

Stolas certainly would be awfully sympathetic to a teen or adult child abused by their family and ending their life because of it, coming down to Hell with spots like a dalmatian or leopard from where you were beaten, and bright red on one specific patch of your hair from where you hit the ground after jumping from a great height

Annnnnnnd as a bonus, Asmodeus and a Darling with visible handprints on their neck who was choked to death during sex, so not only is he horribly protective of you as someone killed by a lover, the act of even being lovers something he considers pretty intimate and important, but also because you've now got these horrible sex related traumas and.... honey baby cutiepie, he's gotta fix all that if the two of you are gonna bone down something nasty. You're at least gonna let him cuddle, right 🥺

So I'm planning a Charlastor AU fanfic where Charlie offers herself to be Alastor's bride in order to free the souls he gained and to leave Hell alone, where a few ships are to appear in it as well.

Aside from Charlastor, the other ones I have planned are Huskerdust, Cherripentious, and possibly Baxter x Nifty. The last one I wanna have is Vaggie but I don't know who else she could be shipped with or just keep her single.

Any Ideas?

I am very awfully picky with ships and already like barely any ships as is and I'm ngl out of the entire cast of HH I just don't really see Vaggie working romantically with any of them... Nothing interesting enough to catch my eye in any case djdndn

Tho I personally think Vaggie deserves to shine solo a bit more in general?

It's bad enough that canon barely lets her be her own person aside from being Charlie's girlfriend :')

Besides, do really all of the secondary characters always *need* to be paired with someone anyways? Considering how many ships you're already including, I think you'd absolutely be able to get away with keeping some characters single lol

I promise I need to search for it, but on those streams before Hazbin came out, she doodled the characters. She said how she couldn't draw fat characters and muscles? Need to find it tho...

Again, Mammon is the laziest way to draw your first fat character of the cast. He also was animated eating loads of junk food and shaming Fizz for his weight.

There are no characters with like even an average weight? They are all toothpicks, Mimzy is there, but in the pilot she was there for like a few frames. -And nowhere in the teases for HH?

Maybe she is going to be there but later on the series or maybe completely gone. She was there on so many drawings with the whole cast-same with Baxter. But they both seemed to be forgotten? Or at least not mention? Including that wolf girl as well.

And btw also The ZooPhobia - "Bad Luck Jack" (Short) is sure thin characters, big hip with chest girls. The most different one here is the yellow fucker with a more reverse triangle shaped chest. I hate how this short looks, too. AND with skinny characters, there are better ways to design them and their bodies.

The only character personalities that Vivziepop can write are: nice doormats that gets treated badly for comedy, smug asshole guy with sharp teeth, horrible bitch female used as plot device, obvious one note abusive villain used to make another character to look better, and horny whore who’s there to be sexualized, They all have same character voice of being loud, hotheaded, and vulgar like there’s literally only one calm character that I’ve known is calm and that’s Baxter but he seems to be erased from Hazbin

Yep. Sums it all up. No variation whatsoever. And on the vulgar part, I would have let it slide until Viv also made the angel curse. Bro, the inconsistency! Remember CHERUBS? that episode on HB? Yea, it showed that angels are unlike demons. they don't curse or make sex jokes. That's great!........ Until HH came about and I was flabbergasted that Adam said the F word.

And.. Baxter my baby! He deserved so much, he's the only good character I found this shitshow, and yet gets deleted. Tbh I'm taking him as the mascot of Critics.
