💫 any of ur zelda f/os!! idk much about the games so id love to know more :3 ~ayatoscupid
Okay! So I'll give a rundown of Breath of the Wild & my champion f/os (I'm gonna also mention Age of Calamity so it'll spoil a bit of that game for those who care ^^ it's recent enough of a game I wanna give that warning)
So, the main thing with Zelda games is Link gets sent out on a journey to save Hyrule for whatever reason - mainly that it's his destiny to be the chosen hero. So in Botw it's the same way, he needs to go to the castle to defeat the calamity there. Unlike other games, the main story happened about 100 years before - back when the champions were alive and prepping to defeat the calamity the next time it showed up. During the game, he can recollect his memories of the past while cleansing the divine beasts of malice so that he can be properly equipped to defeat the calamity (or you can just gather equipment and go straight there since it's the least linear of the games lol)
For the champions! They include Revali, Urbosa, Mipha, and Daruk (and Link). They are the champions of the Rito, Gerudo, Zora, Gorons, and Hylians respectively. They each pilot one of the Divine Beasts and have some kind of magic of their own (Link gains all of their powers over the course of the game). Revali can create a powerful updraft, Urbosa can control lightning, Mipha can heal, and Daruk can create a protective shield. (Keep in mind I don't ship romantically w/ Daruk but I have to mention him if I'm giving details - he's a great friend though! :3)
Uhh, other details... Revali is a skilled archer, Urbosa fights with both her lightning & her scimitar, Mipha fights with a spear, and Daruk fights with a Goron-made weapon that's like the most similar to a claymore) I should note that I do tend to follow Age of Calamity's storyline (it was a prequel game set around when the calamity showed up the first time - aka it's the timeline where the champions don't die and as a result of the game they permanently don't die as it alters what happened during the calamity ^^)
I feel like that's enough info (haha given that the game doesn't exactly give us much - it's mostly exploration w/ a little story)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also have photos so you have faces to put to the names. Revali, Urbosa, Mipha from left to right ^-^

Thinking about my au Teba omg It's actually pretty rare of me talking about the side characters of my au, especially the kids.
I come here to talk about Teba since he is the one of the few characters I feel like I never gave him an actual personality. He was just there because I needed Skall to have a student and also because the others have kids. So in Teba's original ref there's nothing much personality going on there other than I wrote, "Quiet and a bit Nervous" and when I read that after so long I was just 😀
So am going to rewrite him OR better yet ADD more to him since I can't believe I did him this dirty. So here I go
Teba was born in the Faron region in Lurelin Village, an orphan little Rito who decided to venture on his own to reach Rito Village and move there at the age of 15. As a child he heard the many stories of the famous Rito Champion Revali and his student Skall. Teba dreamed of meeting his hero Revali and becoming a student to learn Revali's skills and his famous "Revali's Gale" which was said it could only be done who have the most powerful wings.
He is a child who grew up too fast and never did things a child should do. He practiced learning how to use the bow, he took himself very seriously and never catch himself a break. Once he moved to Rito Village at the age of 15, he was given the shocking news that Revali has been dead and that Skall vanished to the Hebra Mountains never to return. Teba was devastated by those news and his original plan actually was to gain back control of Vah Medoh, but many in Rito Village discouraged him due to the fact he was pretty young throwing himself into danger. And also the fact that Skall's reason to vanish was her many failed attempts to access Vah Medoh.
He changed plans and was now determined to find Skall wherever she was in the snowy mountains of Hebra. He trained even more and at the age of 19, he felt ready to find Revali's only student, Skall. As he trained he befriended another Rito named Harth and both became best friends.
TL;DR - Teba is a young stoic Rito who grew up too fast to become a skilled archer like the Rito Champion. And is now on a lookout to find Skall hidden in the Hebra Mountains.
I could write more, especially his dynamic with Skall once he (and Ganondorf and Nabooru) found her in the mountains, and also the other kids trying to teach him to be a kid again. But also this post already feels long lol but maybe after I post this I'll think about it.

I have the idea of revali who's being an annoying tsundere with reader(kinda the way he acts with link or saying things like "you don't know how lucky you are to be with me") but, one day, reader find a rito mask. When revali sees them, he doesn't recognize them, acts friendly and towards him, making reader fall in love with him. When they confess their love in the rito form, revali deny them saying that he's in love with reader. It can go angst or fluff. Also if the reader could be neutral/male
No problem, it's actually the first time I see headcanons with a male/neutral reader, but I don't deny it, Revali being tsundere it just suits right.
Also, I'm so sorry for taking so long, I imagine a lot of things but it was SO long to write.
I hope you like it ✨
Revali being a tsundere with reader (neutral/male).
Tumblr media
At first, Revali is pretty much of a gentleman.
He's not someone who is disrespectful to other people, less with the Rito.
But he's an asshole with Link and, sadly, you.
The most sad part for Link, is that Revali treats you better.
That doesn't stop him for teasing you A LOT.
He seems that he doesn't mind your company.
No, actually, he doesn't even seems like he cares about you.
But you two always find each other together, for some reason.
I wonder what it could be....
He always invites you to practice with each other.
At first it seems like a really good idea, but....
You always find him overworking himself.
Of course, you're worried about him, but if you get any closer, he'll just pretend he's just fine, like nothing happened.
“You seem like you want to impress someone with all that work...”
“Don't overthink yourself... I do it just for the protection of my village”
“I was going around Rito Village, some guards where talking you've been wondering something about sword or other kinds of weaponry, it's weird since you focus so much on archery”
“You have some problem with me want to know more of how the little knight and you fight? Of course I know this stuff already, I'm a warrior after all”
“Hmm... Link is not going to answer anything, but you can ask me if you want...”
“I could never be a problem in your training”
“Then why you have been inviting me to practice here?”
“I want to be sure you are well prepared, and you must feel so lucky, you're being trained for the great Revali, there's no other archer with my skill”
You two always have this kind of conversations, but Revali always finish them with something egocentric like that.
You didn't like him a lot, he sometimes just acted nice but out of nowhere, he starts acting like a douchebag.
But you see him how he treats other people, like princess Mipha and princess Zelda, he treated them kindly.
One day, wandering at a forest, you found a mask.
A rito mask, there was details that resemble their marks, it had some kind of beak.
You out of curiosity, grabbed it and use it thinking it was just a mask.
But seconds after you transform into a Rito.
Terrified you go running to the Rito village, probably to find princess Zelda, Link or other Champion except for Revali.
“Alright... Revali is always on the practice range, there's no way he's gonna be on the same time as you at Rito Village”.
Surprise ✨he was at the same time as you in Rito Village✨
You thought he was going to notice it was you, and start make fun of you.
But he didn't even notice it.
He treated you... Well, normally, with respect, without mocking you or anything.
“I never saw you in Rito Village, are you a traveler?”
You just nodded at that question, in fear he might recognize your voice.
“You can't talk? I have encounter some Rito with that disability”
Oh he didn't even react like he reacted with Link, and you thought he didn't like the ones who don't talk.
You decide to talk, since you don't know how is the sign language with the Rito, and you would not take risks with this.
“No, I do not have any type of disability”
You prayed to Hylia so he can't recognize your voice.
He was kind of surprised, you don't know if it was your voice or that you can talk.
“My mistake, I don't want to be disrespectful with any Rito, what's your name?”
"Shitshitshitshitshitshit, now what I'm going to do?" You thought in exasperation.
You came up with a random name but enough to be Rito like.
He didn't mind, he still treated you like a friend.
“Are you gonna stay some days? There's a flight range on the Hebra Mountain, you can go and practice any time you want, if something happens, you can find me all day there unless I'm busy with Vah Medoh”
Maybe you wanted to continue talking to him in your rito form.
You two started spending more time together.
You were really worried for the mask.
When it's going to let go? What are you even supposed to do?
You tried to find out anything about mask that transform you into completely different species.
Sadly, you didn't find much, just some old tales, but nothing out of that.
You continue spending time with Revali even going to the flight range.
You come up with excuses, he believe them.
You fall in love with him, he never treated you like that.
You decide to confess your feelings.
It didn't go as planned...
He didn't feel the same.
You contained the crying, you were kind of used to that.
“My apologies, but... I already have someone else who I'm actually interested in, he's the most strong, intelligent Hylian and their beauty is... Unexplainable, I might have the ability of defeating, singlehandedly, an army of monsters, but once he's there, my eyes can't stop looking at them... I must reject this confession, but I'm proud of at least young Rito are interested in becoming better then me, I have to go... There's some matters with the Champions, and it's important, excuse me...”
Now I write it, this seems like Revalink, not my favorite ship but holy cow.
You need to take that mask off, NOW.
You had no other choice but to tell the Champions.
You go as fast you could.
You didn't know how to fly, at least for too long.
You get to the castle and asked to see the Champions.
Of course.... They didn't let you.
Because, you know... A weird Rito just asking to see the Champions.
Then you asked to at least know where Impa was, you said it was important.
That time they took you with her.
“My apologies, but one of the appointed knights of the princess is missing, we haven't know about him for days, please tell anyone else about your problem, I'm occupied with their research”
“I think I know where they are...”
You explained everything to Impa except for the part of falling in love with Revali.
Of course, she didn't believe at first, but when you continue explaining and saying things that no one else does just.... You, she believed you.
“Then what's your excuse of not telling the champions?”
“Being fair, I thought it would make no difference and Revali makes it worst”
“ You're Zelda's appointed knight, not a teenager with anxiety, you must know that you must be brave in order to protect your princess, let's go with Purah, she must know about this”
You two decide to try keep it secret, but sadly, the Champions were with Purah.
“Who is this unexpected guest Impa?”
“Your majesty, they have something to explain, please hear closely, it might sound crazy but it's not”
You tried to explain everything the best you could, omitting the part of Revali, you just said that you never talked to him.
Revali was more then surprised, Urbosa was calmed about it, Daruk and Mipha were confused. Zelda and Link were curious about it, but he just watch form behind.
Purah didn't knew much about but she did everything she could to help you.
It was kind of difficult to take oof the mask, but you made it.
Ngl, it was a little bit painful.
The mask disappeared after they remove it.
Purah asked you how do you found that mask and you answered.
After it, Revali asked you to talk in private, he seemed distracted.
You go to somewhere private and talked with Revali, first of all, he apologized for acting the way he does with you and for not at least recognizing your voice.
“I've been worried about you all those days, wandering where you could be, the guards didn't find a sign of you anywhere, I feared that... Some of those Yiga members where captured you or worst...”
“I'm just one of the assigned knights for Zelda, also I can't use the master sword or posses any kind of magic that can destroy Ganon they might see me just as another guard”
“It doesn't matter, all the Champions were worried about you...”
“I know.... Also, about what I said to you in the rito form... Can you forget about it? Please”
He smirked, he seemed to take that as a joke.
“I could never forget the confession of the most important Hylian for me”
“That's the thing, on the moment I wasn't a Hylian, I was a Rito, it seems you liked me better like that...”
“That's not true, if I liked you better as a rito, I would have accept your confession”
“I don't think being a Hylian would change anything...”
“Who told you that? I can't recall mentioning that”
If I continue writing dialogue, this will be a frickin one-shot, and I already have a lot to edit.
You two decide to spend more time together with some conditions.
Revali will be honest and you don't disappear out of nowhere and for a long time.
After spending time together, the bond between you and him was pretty solid for a relationship.
Revali never let go his tsundere side, but he can't help it.
And rest is history.....

Sheikah Link ft. Champions
Urbosa
Urbosa knew, logically, that when sheikah were in their stealth gear, not only were they near impossible to spot due to how the clothing had been designed, the magic woven into it, but they were also quite androgenous. She didn't pay the sheikah that silently trailed the princess any mind. They guarded the princess, after all, and the princess did know the rules. When she saw them outside of the stealth suit though, wearing a bright blue tunic, it registered that the sheikah was male. And she quietly pulled them aside.
"Voe are not allowed in Gerudo Town, little sheikah." Their head tilted.
"You're correct. And as a voe, not once have I entered. There have been many times the princess has visited I have been unable to follow her in." She allowed her posture to relax.
"Ah. I apologize for the presumption, young one."
"No need. I'm sure many would try and abuse your people's hospitality for their own gain. When we do arrive at such a time as I am a voe, however, I will not enter. You have my word, Chief Urbosa." She gave them a grateful smile.
"And I shall trust your word."
Mipha
"I swear, Link, it's like you get hurt on purpose sometimes!" A gentle laugh had the zora huffing. "Don't laugh at me, you broke your wrist! For what, so you could beat that stupid course faster?"
"Yeah. Aunt Impa promised me she'd teach me how to read tea leaves if I could beat it fast enough." She gave him a flat looked, and he cleared his throat, looking away. "Maybe not the best reason, I'll admit..."
"I hope your first divination tells you to stop getting hurt." He grinned.
"So doesn't work like that."
"So don't care!"
Daruk
The goron was in the middle of dispatching the leader of the lizalfos pack when he heard one drop behind him. He swung, felt a harder than normal impact. Glanced back to see Link slipping away, and his blade thoroughly embedded in the head of the lizalfos. The sheikah's sword shone as they dispatched the minions of the Calamity. They stopped short of killing one of them though, and when Daruk, finished with the rest, moved to finish it, they stepped in front of the lizard creature.
"This one has no malice in its eyes. Preventative measures are all well and good when they won't lead to the culling of the guiltless. It was following its leader." He huffed, glaring at the lizard creature as it scurried up and away.
"Preemptive strikes are how you win without losses." They scowled a bit.
"They're also how innocents get killed, Daruk." His shoulders slumped.
"I know, I know. I just... Hate the idea of that one getting away and getting possessed and rounding up another band to try and come hassle us."
"Even if it manages it, the gorons are a lot tougher than some pack of overgrown lizards. A low chuckle, and he slapped them on the back, sending them stumbling.
"Yeah, we are." The sheikah smiled a bit. Their back already ached, they could tell it'd bruise, but at least they'd raised his spirits.
Revail
"Don't see how some sheikah got chosen to be the hero. Aren't an offshoot of your people the ones so intent on raising the thing?" He squawked in surprise as a hand grabbed his sash, yanked him down to be eyelevel with the furious sheikah.
"Call the yiga my people again and there will be consequences."
"Like what? You're going to gut me with that holy blade?"
"Hardly anything so quick. Sheikah work best in the shadows, Champion Revali." He released him, stepping back. Zelda walked down the stairs onto the landing as Revali straightened, and smiled at them.
"I apologize that took so long, the chief is quite talkative." Link gave her a small smile.
"It's quite alright, your highness. Me and the Champion of Vah Medoh were simply talking." His eyes shifted to the rito, and his smile turned sharp. "It was rather enlightening." Revali felt his heart jump. The sheikah worked best in the shadows indeed...
Riju
"Riju, you need to sleep."
"What I need is to figure out how this works!"
"Which you can do better if you're rested." She scowled a bit at them.
"You're one to talk mister I have to kill every monster in Hyrule all by myself." She noticed them flinch a bit out of the corner of her eye, and turned a bit, frowning. "Link?"
"Not, uh... Not mister. Not today, at least? I dunno, it's confusing. Just... Not a mister right now."
"Ah. Understood." He looked baffled.
"What? Just... Just like that?"
"Yes. Many people feel like neither voe or vai, some feel like both, for others it changes." Their shoulders slumped in relief, and they gave her a small smile.
"That's... Really good to hear. Thank you, Riju." She smiled back.
"Of course." She turned away, only to yelp as arms were wrapped around her waist that hoisted her up. "What are you doing?!"
"I'm not a voe, so I'm allowed in town, which means I can drag you to your room." She groaned, pushing at their arms, and, though they'd bruise later, they didn't let go.
Sidon
"Hey, fishy."
"Link!" There were two very different shouts of his name. One, feminine, appalled by the fact he'd called the prince of the zora fishy, the other male, delighted by the sight of his friend and the hero's name for him. The prince moved over, sweeping princess and hero into a crushing hug.
"It's been far too long! Both of you!"
"I was here last week."
"I've been fighting the Calamity for a hundred years." The amusement was clear in both their voices, and Sidon laughed a bit himself, setting them down.
"Time, reason, they matter little. It's been far too long. And it's very good to see you both."
"It's good to see you as well, your highness." Link smiled, watching the two rulers talk as they began to move deeper into the domain. It was nice seeing them happy.
Yunobo
"I-I dunno, Link, it's really high..."
"Very few ways to conquer fear don't involve facing it. Here, I'll go first." The sheikah launched himself off the cliff, activating Daruk's Protection as he plummeted. The first impact fractured the shield, the second bounce worsened it, and the third landing shattered it. His shield appeared beneath his feet, and he easily maneuvered himself down the mountain. He heard a slam, glanced back to see Yunobo hit the rock an bounce. His barrier didn't shateer, but vanished after a moment as Yunobo curled into a ball, letting the momentum roll him down the mountain faster than he could alone. At the bottom, Link discarded the ruined shield into the lava, and Yunobo rolled to a stop next to him a moment later. He slowly uncurled, looking around before laughing a bit.
"That was terrifying!"
"You're grinning."
"Because it was so fun!" That drew a laugh from the hero, and he patted the goron's shoulder.
"Told ya it would be. Just had to take a leap, yeah?"
"I guess. The worst part was watching you throw yourself off a cliff, though! You're so soft! You could get hurt so easily!" Link held his arms out to the sides, standing straighter, putting his shoulders back.
"And yet, I stand before you unharmed." A soft laugh, and he allowed the posture to relax. "Come on, let's head back up. I have three more shields before I'm done." Yunobo's eyes widened.
"Again...?" Laughter echoed across the mountain side.
Teba
"You're holding the arrow too tight, Tulin." The sheikah gently pressed on the offending feathers, waiting until they felt a pressure against them to pull away. "Hold too tight, the fetching hits your feathers, you throw off your shot. Now, try again." The young Rito nodded, firing at the target. It sank in off center, but closer than anything else he'd shot. He groaned nonetheless.
"Ugh! It's so hard!"
"That's why it's a skill, why great archers are praised. If it was easy, you wouldn't feel very accomplished, would you?" Tulin grumbled for a second before shaking his head.
"No. But it's really hard, Link."
"It is." They both looked over to Teba as he walked over, Tulin in surprise. Link's expression didn't change much. "Why don't you take a break, son, go help your mother for a bit." He nodded, handing the bow to Link before starting to fly back to the village. They tilted their head.
"What can I do for you, Teba?"
"I thought he needed a break, that's all. Though, having heard what you said, I am curious where you became such a font of wisdom." The sheikah chuckled softly, looking away, rubbing the back of their neck.
"From my aunt. She trained me, and she was always saying stuff like that. Hard work feels worth it only if you keep it up, achieve what you're working for. Fear can only be overcome when it's faced. You reap what you sow."
"She sounds like quite the clever woman."
"She is. Most well respected woman in the village, actually." They sat, started inspecting the bow, and, when they were satisfied, went about making arrows. "Auntie always taught me things about how to manipulate people to get what you want." A low chuckle. "She's pretty good at it, but I don't know if I ever was."
"You seem far too earnest for that." A raised eyebrow.
"You do realize that's half the trick, right? Look trustworthy and people think you are?" A snort escaped the rito.
"It's not simply that you seem trustworthy, Link. It's that your very being exudes what you feel most of the time. When you're angry, sad, happy, it rolls off you in waves. Frustration is only seen in your actions and expressions, but I've never been able to pin what's fake and what isn't." A sly smile.
"Maybe it's all fake." A small smile.
"Maybe. I doubt it, but maybe." They'd never admit how much his words warmed them, even if half of a sheikah's training was about controlling your emotions.
*Blue (Saw a request for champions old and new, so voila!)

Overzealous
Kind of a continuation from yesterdays fic?
Context- I'm using the headcannon that Wild can be possessed by the other Champion's when he's either under too much stress or unconscious. Another headcannon I made with someone on the discord to add to this is that when activating the Champion's power, not only is the power enhanced, but also a projection of the user of the power can be seen over Wild's body (as you'll see below ;)) aGAIN ANOTHER SELF INDULGENT FIC WOOHOO
Au belongs to Jojo | linkeduniverse
_________________________________________________________
"What did you do?!" Legend seethed at Warriors who in return coughed, looking away with a look of guilt. He stared ahead, ignoring the pointed glare that was facing him until Legend repeated the question, punching Warrior's arm as if to keep his attention.
Warriors looked down with a grimace, "I don't know, ok? I was practicing with my bow with Wild and I asked him for pointers- long story short, that bird-thing- Rito I think? Whoever is possessing him has kept up his speech for the last six minutes and he doesn't look to be stopping." Legend cursed at the words, "Of course it was you who did it." Warriors scoffed, offended, yet Legend turned, watching the scene unfold.
Before them stood Wild, or, what appears to be Wild with a lack of his, per say, spirit, where the embodiment of 'annoying' now possessed.
From what the others knew, the spirits name was Revali- the apparent official 'greatest archer of all of Hyrule' and everyone's collective unofficial 'pain in the head'. He was, in the least, a proud, flamboyant and 'sophisticated' individual with a love for archery- and a seemingly obvious dislike for Wild.
The two watched the Hylian, who stood straight and proud, something so unlike Wild.
"And honestly, if I knew you Hylian's were open to critique as you oh so generously asked, I would've showed up much sooner, trust me."
That's right, Legend thought, This is the first time this spirit has shown up. Legend mulled over that thought for a second, before narrowing his eyes. He decided that he didn't like this character inhabiting Wild.
Besides Legend, both Twilight and Time -all three in which had just arrived back from gathering items for that night's dinner- stood several metres from the overzealous Hylian, indescribable expression plastered on their faces.
Everyone except Revali was still.
Revali was quick to notice, rolling Wild's eyes with a disgusted groan, "Please, you all know about us, it was only a matter of time before my presence graced you." He took a second to snatch the Sheikah Slate from Wild's belt, albeit a little sloppily as he cursed out at Hylian's anatomy.
Everyone watched as he swiped through it.
Twilight stepped forward frowning, "Hey, what-" he didn't get any further however as the knights bow in wild's hand disintegrated in a fine, glowing blue light before being replaced by a bow much more intricately crafted- Wild's mouth tilted into one of satisfaction, and a handful of those watching couldn't help but to think how un-natural the look was on him.
Revali re-latched the slate, using both hands to hold the well-made bow. He took a couple moments to fiddle with it, checking over finer details of the weapon. By now, Four and Wind had taken this opportunity to approach Wild, unnoticed by the spirit inhabiting the Hylian. They peered over his shoulder, marvelling at the bow, "Do you like this bow a lot?" A sound only descried a squawk left Wild's throat, the spirit jumping slightly as he whipped around, bow nearly smashing into Wind's face had it not been for Time's quick reflexes to drag the boy back. Revali glared at the boy, "Insufferable as Link and twice as small- just my luck." he stated, bringing the bow closer to him, "And this? Of course I like this bow, I was the one to wield it before Link- better yet," he smirked, "I was the one to create it."
Silence.
"Oh, ok." Wind shrugged.
Revali blinked.
"'Oh, ok?' That's it?" several people peered at each other before Four spoke up, "Well, I mean it isn't that special, I smithed most of my weapons myself." several others piped up, confirming this. Revali stilled, owlishly blinked once more, "No." he then stated.
Time could immediately feel a sense of dread travel down his back- he paused, watching Revali's movements, however small they are before tightening his mouth, "It isn't that big of a deal-" "OH please, save your breath." Wild's eyes rolled once more, "to smith a sword is nothing but child's play, now, a bow? This is where skill takes place." Four narrowed his eyes, letting out a scoff of offense, "Are you saying my skills are nothing but rubbish?" Wild eyes glanced at Four, shrugging, "Not saying they're anything spectacular." Four threw his arms up, "Nope! Not doing this today guys." he marched away, Wind quickly following.
"Hm, for a supposed hero he sure has a quick temper." Revali stated, ignoring the pointed glares meeting his figure, "anyway," he turned to Warriors, the man letting an 'oh god' whisper out, much to Legend's amusement, "you wish to learn proper techniques, yes?" Warriors shook his head, "No, I think I-" "Perfect! I'm glad you agree, I've been watching you all through Link and quite frankly, there's much room for improvement for…" Revali paused, glancing around at the others before humming, "well, let's say practice would make for much better improvements, you see?" "Twenty rupees and I'll punch him." Legend whispered. Immediately, Warriors choked on his breath, a hand landing on Legend's shoulders as he tried to contain his laughter. Legend glanced at Warriors, before looking back at the Hylian, "You're right, I'll do it for free." before attempting his attack however, Time stepped forward, "Look… wait what's your name?" Revali repeated his title, just as proud as the first time, "Revali, as much as we would… appreciate the help, we would rather Wild if anything, considering…" Revali sneered, "Considering I'm dead?"
Words died out of Time's throat as everything fell silent.
"Oh god no," Legend then started snapping everyone's attention to him, "Look, if your annoying personality can stick after a century, I'm sure your skills with archery are still there- just because you're dead, it won't change anything. Time's only saying this because we're more comfortable around Wild." Wild's face sneered at Legend, yet he kept quiet, mulling over the words. He then narrowed his eyes, "But I am him- just with more poise." he gestured to his posture with a smile, waving Legend's look of disbelief off, "none of that, I came to teach and teach I shall! Where are your arrows?!" he started to scour the area as others denied, "We don't have that many left!" "Then this will be worth the loss of some extra rupees." Revali merely replied with, finding his targeted ammunition within one of Wild's pouches. He heaved the pouch over his shoulders with ease.
"This is a waste of arrows- we might need those!" Twilight stated, walking to Wild with a stern glare, "look, bird brains, I'm usually all for some fun, but not with supplies that are already low." Revali rolled his eyes, "don't worry, Link's thinking of taking you to his house," confused looks met his, "What, he hasn't told you? Ugh, of course not, the imbecilic. Don't worry, your supplies will be filled soon enough." He nocked an arrow, testing the string before drawing the arrow out. "Hold up, wait, this is going way too fast-" "Good." "No, not good! Wait what are you-"
A gust so powerful it ripped through the entire camp- bed rolls went flying, as well as personal belongings and the newly acquired food. Yet all eyes were on Wild.
Or on Revali, more specifically.
Wild's body had lit up in a spectacular green, yet his body wasn't the main focus, no, the main focus was solely on the green outline of a Rito that engulfed around Wild, as if he was a projection. Green flames littered around them, dancing in the wind that had everyone holding their ground to stop from being blown away themselves.
The view was ineffable.
Even Revali was surprised, looking down at his feathers that moved alongside Wild's arms. The bow itself now lodged between Revali's outline, rather than the Hylian's hands. A twist in his gut, a jolt of realisation- whatever had happened let him interact with his bow- let him feel the object once more, just has he once had. Revali blinked, eyes adjusting upwards, into the oblivion that was the sky.
He had a plan.
The wind died down barely, enough for Revali's voice to be picked up, "Prepare to see a show of a life time!" Then, he shot upwards, into the heavens.
Hearts jumped into their throats watching the projection of Revali from Wild's body soar above them, the wind tormenting the plains around them once more as a gust even stronger than last time shot through them- Wind and Four, although several feet further away, both fell.
The elegance of the way Revali moved in the air almost had everyone in awe, yet Twilight was the first to notice it.
"Wild doesn’t have his paraglider on him!" eyes wide, mouth agape, they watched Revali twist and turn, flying himself higher and higher- until the inevitable fall. Twilight felt his stomach drop, "Oh god no." And then they fell.
Down and down, they fell further; then even faster. The momentum dragging their very beings towards the ever-growing ground. Mere seconds seemed to drag onto minutes for those watching, tormenting them- in the blink of an eye, Revali raised his wings, praying to Hylia- to anyone who'd listen that this would work.
Then, Revali flew.
He felt the wind through his wings, the updraft curving his decent until he himself soared high.
The others on the ground collectively sighed in relief.
Deep within Revali's mind, he could feel the excitement pouring from Wild- Revali laughed, twisting and turning in the sky, feeling as alive as a dead spirit could be, "I have MISSED this!" he exclaimed, diving once more. Then, he saw it- the targets.
And judging by the fire burning from within, he knew Wild did too.
Revali smirked
He had a performance to do.
He dove once more, yet with no intent to stop. His wings tucked in, body lowering as far as it could until the momentum built up enough for him to feel the frigid cold air wisp by like a dream.
"…Ti… e it… " Revali paused for a second, yet still descending, "time it!" Wild yelled again, clearer; the excitement gushing out of him and Revali did so, whipping out his bow and watched wide eyed as a power so strong and so pure engulfed him.
Everything stilled.
No, he thought, watching his descension drift further down ever so slowly, not frozen, yet-
From within, he felt Wild laugh.
"Oh."
He could've laughed, yet instead he aimed his bow, all five arrows nocked.
He shot.
"So this is how you managed to nearly best me, you twerp!"
To the others, they watched in awe as Revali, in a mere second shot the targets, all five, with no effort, hitting each one simultaneously without missing a beat; all bulls-eyes.
Seconds later Revali landed, the outline dissipating quick enough.
Twilight, Sky and Warriors swarmed Wild, who now blinked owlishly- Wild was back. "Hey- are you ok?" Twilight asked, putting a hand on his shoulders. Wild blinked back, before a large smile grew on his face, a small bubbly laugh leaving him. "Holy shit, he's lost it." Legend exclaimed. Sky looked between the two in confusion.
Abruptly, Wild stopped laughing, the smile falling.
Everyone watched him.
His face, once a healthy tone turned pale- Twilight knew exactly what was about to happen. "To the bush!" He shouted, pushing Wild as the Hylian heaved. Quick enough, just as they reached the bush, Wild vomited.
Warriors made a disgusted sound, yet Legend merely elbowed him.
Time's eyes met Twilight's and the elder only rubbed his temples before leaving to go pick up everything that had flew away, passing Hyrule as he helped Four and Wind up from the ground.
Twilight himself just rubbing Wild's back, wondering how he's still alive with Wild's antics.

Breath of the Wild: Captured Memories - Chapter 7
Preface and Disclaimer; First and foremost; SPOILER WARNINGS. If you have not played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or completed the Captured Memories Quest and want to stay unspoilered for it, DO NOT READ. Keep Reading link provided for that reason.
So I am writing these as I play through BotW for the first time - which means they probably won’t be ‘one-a-day’ consistent - I have finally gotten all of the memories, but not yet gone for the final fight at Hyrule Castle. #Soon. I will post them as I can though! Promise! I also plan to include links to the cutscene for you to watch at the bottom, if so desired - at least for the ones I can find. Any other warnings that become necessary, I will add for content as I go. For now, enjoy! [All Chapters here for your reading enjoyment.]
Y’all… Dammit Salty Bird. I got irritated all over again rewatching the scenes to get the dialog for Revali’s scenes. He’s SUCH a well written character... and I hate him. Well, hate is strong. But I really, really dislike him a lot. Even when he “gets better” he’s still a !@#%%^&^er. But, I like this chapter, and I hope you will too. Chapter 7 - Revali’s Flap
The Rito Village, and land surrounding, was genuinely breathtaking. The wood and canvas huts that served as both homes and shops were built around the landscape’s large peaks of sandstone. This design allowed wind to blow through the village unhindered without disrupting structural integrity. At this altitude and in the region, Link was chilled. Pretty much constantly. But, he’d bought some new armor from the nice Rito vendor in trade for some amber and a few sapphires he’d found. Now he was nice and toasty warm.
Sitting by the cooking pot inside a part of the village’s inn, Link stared into the fire as his dinner marinated. He’d been here before. He could feel it, and this was not a place soon forgotten. It might have been if it was the first place he’d come, but even then the striking beauty of the land, difference in architecture, and the colorful individuality of its inhabitants were like nothing else in all of Hyrule.
Maybe that was the opinion of an ignorant Hylian child that he had once been. He had grown up in and around the Zora Domain in the Lanayru Province. This knowledge was coming back to him slowly, and explained why he’d gone there first. It also meant the Zora had never seemed odd to him, though consequently neither had they seemed particularly awe inspiring in a long, long while. The Rito however, were a different story.
Ladelling out his dinner from the pot, simmered fruit for the moment as he was cold, tired and in need of foraging for some supplies, Link leaned back against the solid wood support beam of the hut. Simmered fruit made him think of his mother - now that he remembered her face. She made the best, and had taught him long ago. It always made him feel better.
He needed that right now. There was a long way to go for him to find all the locations in Zelda’s album, and take back control of two more Divine Beasts from Ganon. He was tired, and had only arrived less than an hour before, deciding that he was going to eat something before speaking with the Tribe Chief. In the sky overhead, Vah Medoh let out a shrill and bone chilling cry. The enormous ancient technology flew overhead in the shape of a bird, stone and metal kept aloft by gigantic propellers and magic. Glancing up, and giving a good, long look at the Calamitous energies pulsing through the construct, Link ate his simmered fruit quickly.
No rest for the weary, as it were.
After eating, he asked directions to speak with the Rito Chief and had the oddest interaction. It was as though the Chief could tell he was the fallen hero, but couldn’t accept it. Link had stopped bothering to try and explain it to people months ago at this point. He was told of Teba, and that perhaps the warrior could help him, if nothing else the Chief was worried.
But it was the following conversation with Teba’s wife that ignited something in Link. She showed him Revali’s Landing, a flight platform just outside her home named for the Champion of the Rito from a century ago. Looking at it, Link was taken by a memory.
***
Standing out on the center of the flight platform, Link craned his neck and shielded his eyes to look up at the impressive Vah Medoh high above him. It truly was an impressive piece of ancient technology, and he’d listened intently to Zelda lament at great length that she would never be able to set foot on such a marvel. The sky was the clearest blue surrounding the Divine Beast, and wind cool despite the sun’s warmth. But then, it was always cool in the Hebra region.
Just as Link had the thought he should probably go find the Rito Champion, as that was whom he had climbed the peaks to see on behalf of Zelda, the wind picked up. At first it was small, but it rapidly build to a steady cyclonic breeze that seemed to come from beneath the platform.
In the blink of an eye and the flash of dark grey feathers, the Rito Champion appeared from below. Shooting up into the air high above, Revali spread his charcoal and white feathered wings, gliding down to a light and graceful landing before Link.
“Impressive, I know,” the Rito archer said in his normal, smug tenor. “Very few can achieve mastery of the sky. Yet I have made an art of creating an updraft that allows me to soar. It’s considered to be quite the masterpiece of aerial techniques, even among the Rito.” Revali turned to pose dramatically, one wing lifted where he was backlit by the sun in the beautiful day.
Link managed to not roll his eyes at Revali’s grandiloquence, giving him a tight-lipped smile. Revali didn’t like him - Link knew this. The Rito felt within his superior self image that he should have been the Princess’s appointed knight as he was clearly the most capable and worthy of the Champions. Clearly.
Though the Rito had never said those words exactly, it was the undertone of every word, sneer, snort and action the Champion took while in Link’s presence to date. Somehow the Hylian knight had a feeling this interaction would be no different.
Link found Revali cutting him a sharp look, speaking again before the knight could give a syllable of proper greeting. “With the proper utilization of my superior skills, I see no reason why we couldn’t easily dispense with Ganon,” be boasted with a bow. Hopping down from the railing on which he’d perched, Revali tucked his wings behind his back as if about to give a dissertation (which Link had no doubt he was going to do just that). Strolling forward, Revali’s expression was one of barely contained detestation. “Now then, my ability to explored the firmament is certainly of note… But let’s not- and pardon me for being so blunt-” he said as his tone changed from fairly condescending to outright patronizing, “Let’s not forget the fact that I am the most skilled archer of all the Rito.”
“Oh here we go,” Link muttered to himself into the wind.
“Yet despite these truths, it seems I have been tapped to merely assist  you. All because you happen to have that little darkness sealing sword on your back. I mean, it’s just… asinine.” The only thing that prevented Link from drawing his sword then and there and teaching this megalomaniac of a Rito a lesson, was self control. As Revali’s red-feather rimmed, green eyes cut snidely to him, Link crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. The absurdity of this entire monologue was as laughable as it was insulting. Clearly, Revali liked hear the sound of his own voice.
“Unless,” the Rito Champion added after a moment, “You think you can prove me wrong?” He took one large step closer to Link. The bird man who was a good head taller than the Hylian leaned in, beak to nose and invading Link’s personal space aggressively. “Maybe, we should just settle this one on one.”
Link opened his mouth to say that he had no problem with Revali… not until this conversation at least, but the archer turned away and continued his drama. “But where?” he asked the wind, one wing crossed his chest as the other pretended to stroke his beak in thought. “Oh, I know! How’bout up there?!”
With a grand sweep of one wing, Revali motioned to the sky, where Vah Medoh was soaring past, making its rounds. “Oh! You must  pardon me,” Revali chuckled, his tone even more supercilious than before, “I forgot you have no way of making it up to that Divine Beast on your own.” The last words were spoken with actual open aggression as the Champion spread his wings sharply, and took to the skies, leaving Link behind on the platform.
As Revali grew smaller towards Vah Medoh, and the vision began to fade, the Rito’s parting jab echoed the skies. “Good luck sealing the Darkness!”
***
As he came back to himself, Link was being stared at oddly by Teba’s concerned wife. Apparently she’d asked if he was alright, while he’d been lost to the past. “Oh, I’m sorry, yes - thank you ma’am.”
Giving him an uncertain look, she touched a delicate wing to her beak. “If you’re sure… you seemed… angry? Irritated at least. Are you well?”
Cracking his neck at the legitimate frustration Revali’s personality had left him with, he nodded. “It was… just not a pleasant memory, ma’am. Sorry to space out like that- but I promise, I will find your husband, and bring him back alive.
“Oh thank you!” she said sincerely. “Please… be safe.”
---
The knight held his shoulder and looked around the topside of Vah Medoh. The Windblight Ganon creature that had held control of Vah Medoh for so long was gone, fallen to the Master Sword. Well the Master Sword, and a not insignificant amount of bomb arrows.
Staring at the Main Control panel ten yards from where he stood, injured and exhausted, Link smirked to himself. He should just sit down, right here, and bake some apples to eat so he could regain a bit of his strength. It had been a hard fight! It had taken a lot out of him! And Revali could sit around and complain all he wanted, since there wasn’t anything the spirit of the Rito Champion could do about it.
He deserved as much for the prickly and haughty manner in which he’d been speaking while Link tried to subvert Ganon’s corruption. Though the change in tone as the hylian’s repeated successes went on had not gone unnoticed by the knight.
No, No Link wouldn’t keep him waiting… that would have been cruel. With a sigh, Link closed the distance between himself and the Main Controls, setting the Shiekah slate on the tablet as he had so many times elsewhere. The bulb, large as a room and intricate with ancient energy, changed from orange to blue, and pulsed once… twice… three times as Vah Medoh was not returned to control of the Champions.
“Well I’ll be plucked,” Revali’s echoic, ethereal voice said from behind him, “You defeated him, eh?” Link cut his eyes over his shoulder and turned around, braced for a potentially long and self absorbed speech. There Revali stood, incorporeal as both Daruk and Mipha had been, green spirit fire dancing around him where he had just landed. Spreading his wings wide, Revali seemed reserved… for Revali. “Who would have thought?”
Looking at each other a long moment, Link felt… differently than he had before. Mipha and Daruk had been his friends, people he cared a great deal for. Revali and he had not been friend, and even actively disliked one another a century ago. And yet, there was still a sadness in Link’s heart, seeing the Rito Champion’s spirit.
Noting that the archer dropped his gaze and looked away before he spoke, the Rito’s next words were surprising to the hylian. “Well done.”
But Revali continued, and the moment was over. “I suppose I should thank you now that my spirit is free. This returns Medoh to its rightful owner.” With a grand gesture to the sky of one wing, Revali straightened, clearly meaning himself. “Hmph,” he added with a callous expression. “Don’t preen yourself just for doing our job.”
Link pressed his lips together and raised one eyebrow. “Oh yes. We could never have that from any Champion,” he mumbled sardonically. If Revali heard, he didn’t show it.
“I do suppose you’ve proven your value as a warrior. A warrior worthy of my unique ability. The sacred skill that I have dubbed Revali’s Gale!” Despite the posing and flapping of wings, Link forgave the Champion’s drama in the face of the nicest thing  Revali had ever said about or to him.
With yet another set of dramatic movements, Revali’s spirit summoned and sent an orb of green spirit energy hurtling at Link, and as it entered him body, a familiar, strong whirlwind kicked up, lifting Link from his feet and tossing him into the air quite unexpectedly. With a flip and twist, Link landed without injury on one knee, and looked back up to the Rito… in gratitude.
“It’s now time to move on and start making preparations for Medoh’s strike on Ganon. But,” Rivalli gave a small smirk, “Only if you think you’ll still need my help while fighting inside Hyrule Castle.” It wasn’t an apology, but even a small admission that he’d been wrong so long ago was enough to inspire forgiveness entirely in Link’s heart. Revali quickly ruined the moment again by added, “Feel free to thank me now.”
Rolling his eyes, Link noticed the now familiar gold light that meant his time on the Divine Beast was over, and was shocked to hear Revali say, “Or.. .nevermind. Just go. Your job is far from finished you know.” The Rito Champion was glancing at him sidelong. Finally turning away and lifting his beak to the sun, Link was fading away already when he heard the final words of his old self appointed rival.
