Hi, I was wondering if you would be interested in write a fic with Ladybug from bullet train. Maybe one where he's on another grab and go mission, one that's actually easy and doesn't involve him getting shot at much to his surprise, and completes it with no hiccups. When he's on his way back to deliver the package, he sees the reader about to get attacked by some evil guy he's heard of henchmen, so he swoops in to save her (not without recommending a non violent option of solving the situation first but obviously it won't work). When the fights over he goes to comfort the reader who's pretty shaken up by what happened and it's just really fluffy at the end and he may he end up going on a date as a thank you from the reader but who knows 🤷. Usually, Ladybug would be having bad days, bad jobs, and bad luck. But not today, because for some reason today was perfect.

He had a good mission, surprisingly. He didn’t get shot at, or even punched!

“I’m telling you, Maria, maybe I’m starting to have better luck.” He said, walking to delivered the package to the person who asked for it.

“Well, that’s good. Maybe you’ll start leaving missions without getting almost killed and without any brain damage.”

“Maybe.” He said. And he stopped in his tracks.

“Hey, uh, Maria, I gotta go. I’ll call you back..” he said, quietly.

“Why? What’s wro-“

He turned off his phone and watched what what happening in front of him.

He was walking in an alley, so he was bound to see something happen.

“Let me go, you bastards!” You said, but they covered your mouth and stole your bag from you.

One of them looked through it, while the other held a gun to your head and had a hand in your mouth. You kicked and screamed.

“Hey, fellas.” Ladybug said, walking towards them.

The one with your bag quickly pointed a gun at him.

“Why don’t we uh.. just chill out, yeah? We can all have a nice conversation.”

“Who the hell are you?” The one with the gun pointed to him asked.

“Just happened to walk by. And saw you two robbing a woman. I mean you sure we can’t talk this out? I just left work and I was really having a good day. So why don’t you just let her go and-“

“Grab her.” He said, and the man with the gun to your head picked you up and ran off.

Ladybug quickly ran, and gunshots rang but none hit him.

He kicked the man, and then punched him, knocking him to the ground. He took his mask off and held the gun to his face.

“Now I really don’t wanna do this, but please, just call your friend off-“

The man kicked him and he groaned, sighing and punching him in the face this time. The man was knocked out now and he ran to find you and the other guy.

You screamed for help, and ladybug immediately came over to you guys.

“Shut the fuck u-“ he said, before being knocked to the ground by a briefcase. Ladybug took his mask off.

You also fell to the ground and you crawled over to the Side of the road. The man was then hit with a gun by ladybug.

“Hey, hey, you okay?” Ladybug quickly asked you, sitting down next to you as some onlookers called the cops.

You didn’t answer, and started to cry a bit. Ladybug understood.

“It’s okay, it’s fine. Now uh, I really have to go deliver something to someone’s house so I can’t stay. But I have your bag..” he handed it to you.

You looked at it and took it.

“They didn’t uh… do anything to you, did they?”

“No. But they were going to.” You muttered.

“Oh. Well, I guess it’s a good thing they’re both probably going to jail..” he stood up.

You looked up at him “Wait… can I.. come with? I don’t wanna be alone and my house is far.”

He hesitated, thinking for a bit. He put his hand on the back of his neck and sighed “Sure. Why not.”

You got up, and you guys started to walk.

“Thank you.”

“Huh? Oh, no. It’s fine really, I just happened to run into you while on my way. No big deal.”

“No, really, I don’t know what would’ve happened if you didn’t.”

“Your welcome. I just try to help people whenever, Y’Know? And what kind of person would I be if I saw a pretty girl getting robbed and I didn’t at least try to help her?

“Pretty?” You teased.

“Yeah. You’re very pretty.”

“I could say the same for you.”

“Oh, well.. thank you.”

It was quiet for a while.

“Can I see your phone? Mines is dead and-“ you said.

“Yeah, yeah, sure. Go ahead.” He said quickly, entering the password and giving you it.

You quickly texted your friend where you were and asked her to pick you up. You told her/him/them it was a friends phone number.

Then you entered your phone number in to his phone as well, you gave it back and thanked him.

“My friend will be here in a second. I’m just gonna chill here.”

“Will you be okay?”

“I’m fine now, thanks to you.” You smiled.

“I never got your name..” he said, checking his phone and seeing a number on it. He assumed it was you who entered it.

update vs reboot

So I'm not quite sure if this is an actual update or just an out right reboot, living in this post covid lockdown world, but IM BAK BABY!! I've been dancing every week since the lockdown ended at a place called Blue Monday. Hiking weekly has also ramped up since then. I've also started a job I love and of course continuing my many artistic endeavors, both audio and visual.. ALSO some writing and reading and swimming at the condo pool and and and... and you know what I mean

so now I'm FULLY COMMITTED ehrr or somethink like that, to this new cycle of life, goin on about my day embracing challenges like a gawd damn champ -th kinda stuff that makes people cringe cuz they aint doin shit!

Since some time has passed, I'm beyond th honeymoon phase of goin out, dancing to burned out playlists -perhaps ready to get back to my own from time to time, cuz now that I've asked the whole world to dance, I still mostly prefer dancing with myself -if only for th playlist.

mid to slow tempo.. a haunted wicked chorus.. another underrated ditty with some interesting musical hiccups -PLUS highlights th elegant vocal stylings of an intensely mysterious Bunny Debarge.

80s Shalamar is on par with Midnight Star and Debarge for that New Wave R & B sound I was sooooo obsessed with at age 6/7ish. Totes remember dancing to this a kazillion times, listening in my room to the radio -since they played the same 25 songs all day long and thats all a lower class immigrant girls got! I adore Howard and Jeffrey's falsetto action meets Jody Watley's sensual vocals -YOWZA!!!! This was possibly right before her solo career took off in the later 80s and early 90's.

Cats Don’t Dance (1997):

Directed by Mark Dindal. Encouraging his new animal friends to show off their talents and follow their hearts, Danny promises a future of stardom to all if they work together to change Hollywood’s mind by giving them a performance of a lifetime. Cats Don’t Dance was dedicated to the legendary Academy Award winning actor Gene Kelly, who choreographed the movie’s musical numbers. It was his final film project before his death. Cats Don’t Dance also features original songs by Grammy and Oscar winner Randy Newman.

How To Train Your Dragon trilogy (HTTYD 2010, HTTYD 2 2014, HTTYD The Hidden World 2019):

Directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. Based on the book series by Cressida Cowell. On the island of Berk, Vikings and dragons battle for survival, that is until the young Viking Hiccup befriends a deadly and rare Night Fury he calls Toothless, and both begin to understand their worlds and each other. All three films were nominated for Best Animated Picture, and it has one of the best original scores in movie history. It’s a wonderful story of enemies becoming friends becoming family, as well as a story of breaking traditions, everlasting love, and learning to let go.

The Book of Life (2014):

Directed by Jorge R. Gutierrez. La Muerte and Xibalba, rulers of the Land of the Remembered and the Land of the Forgotten, set a wager to see who will win the heart of San Angel’s beauty Maria, bullfighter Manolo who wishes to be a musician despite his family’s hatred of music, or decorated town hero Joaquin hiding behind false strength and courage. When San Angel is threatened to be destroyed on the Day of the Dead by the bandit king Chakal, Manolo must go through the Land of the Remembered and Forgotten to protect his family, town, and one true love from being erased from the Land of the Living, while facing his fears, being himself in front of his family, and writing his own story.

Top 5 Male Characters

Peter Parker. Probably one of my favourite characters ever, forget just male character. He’s awkward, he’s adorable, and he’s just genuinely such a nice guy you kind of can’t help falling in love with him. What’s great about him is that he’s genuinely developed through the movies, from a goofy kid who just wants to impress Tony Stark, to... well, still a goofy kid, but a proper Avenger, too. (Tony said it, it’s canon.) And throughout it all - because man, is there a throughout it all - he’s managed to stay himself. And the thing about Peter is, himself is just such a great person - selfless, brave, sweet and so awkward, but honestly totally deserving of his spot on this list.

Leo Fitz. Oh my gosh, Leo Fitz. First of all, just typing out his name has made me miss him SO MUCH - because come on, AoS, we all really desperately want to see him again!! And not even just the fans - even the team is missing him by now. Seriously. 

Second of all, you know how I said I like characters who have gone through significant journeys in their shows/movies? WELL. Fitz has come unbelievably far in this series - from an actual cinnamon roll adorkably obsessed with monkeys to this confident, downright heroic agent. And yes, he’s had his hiccups *cough Framework cough* but on the whole Fitz has also managed to stay true to his wonderful and sweet personality.

Also - and this cannot not be mentioned, because Iain de Caestecker himself said it - Fitz and Simmons are a package deal. They come together. Always. And if that isn’t the sweetest thing literally ever, I don’t know what is.

For a moment there, I had my doubts about putting him on this list - but then I decided, no, you can’t have a list of favourite male characters without Phil Coulson. Because yes, he is in an... interesting place in the moment (dead??? LMD??? Computer??? who even knows anymore...) but in the end, whatever the situation is now, Coulson is an incredible character.

He’s also been through quite the journey, from, you know, DYING, to, you know, DYING AGAIN (for realsies this time... except NOT, because next thing you know, there’s a creepy space alien thingy who looks just like him. Wait, no, then he dies. Wait, no, then we have LMD Coulson. Wait, no, then HE dies! Wait, no then we have... what, again?? TV Coulson??) 

ANYWAY. The point is, everybody loved Coulson so much that they could never kill him. And, I mean, fair. The guy is probably the funniest, sweetest, nerdiest spy dad you could ever imagine! He’s great, seriously. Even if his storyline has gotten more than a little crazy. (But to be fair, at this point, who’s hasn’t?!?!)

Lincoln Campbell. Probably one of the most underrated guys on all of AoS. People love to hate on Lincoln and call him “boring,” but if you actually go look at things, he was anything but.

First of all, yes, he did have a shitty past. But do you know what the most important thing is? He owned that, and he spent the rest of his life trying to make up for it by helping people. And while that certainly doesn’t excuse any of the crappy life choices he made, it does tell you a lot about his character. 

Second of all, he’s a really nice guy. I mean, really nice. Sure, he was Daisy’s transitioner in Afterlife, but I’m fairly sure he didn’t have to go to all that effort to be her friend, too. But he still did it. Why? Because he’s a nice person who genuinely cares. And that is... way underrated.

 Third of all - P O W E R S. Who wouldn’t want Inhuman powers, let alone ones as cool as Lincoln’s? He can shoot literal electricity from his hands. (I digress.)

Fourth of all, he has a great sense of humour - and that is always a selling point for me. That, and terrible puns. And if you combine that with snark and sarcasm, and an actor as cute as Luke Mitchell? Well.

Lastly but definiitely not leastly (leastly? Is that even a word? ANYWAY.) Lincoln also had a pretty good journey on the show. From being reluctant to join SHIELD to basically co-leading the Secret Warriors with Daisy to sacrificing his life to save the world, there’s a lot that can be said about his arc here. But I’ll cut myself off before I go into literal hundreds of words and just say, he’s great.

Mack!! Gosh, I love him so much. He’s another one of those characters who stole my heart pretty much immediately by just being himself - remember how nice he was to Fitz back in Season 2? Yeah. I was an instant fan. 

And gosh, has he had a journey on this show. From double agent for that whole Real SHIELD mess to trying to quit (about 200 times lol) to becoming the actual Director of SHIELD, Mack has come unbelievably far in this show. (And he’s even gotten himself a really cool girlfriend. But that’s not the point.)

The point is, Mack is a genuinely great guy, and I absolutely love him to pieces. The end. 

... I just realised, looking back on it, that this post has basically become a Guys of Shield appreciation list. And I would apologise, but... I’m really not sorry. The guys of SHIELD are awesome. (Sorry I couldn’t fit you in on here, Deke. Or you, Sousa - we’ve only had you for a few episodes but I already love you.)

hahahaha NO JOKE! I’m a DAY6 My Day (I prefer Sunday LOL)!!! I waited so long for their songs to be on spotify and itunes! DAMNIT! LOL I love them for their music. 6 Artists You Need to Listen to Before They Blow Up In 2020

I’m tired of texting different people what artists to listen to here is a concise list I can refer people to. These are some artists I have been loving lately who I really think are headed for mainstream stardom in the upcoming year. Call them what you want “underrated” or “on the come-up” but the point is they create great music which more people should be listening to. ROLE MODEL

ROLE MODEL who was born Tucker Pillsbury and hails from Portland, Maine makes the kind of music that just feels like the playlist to summer sunset drive next to the beach. He makes the kind of pop music that isn’t pop enough to be called just pop music, the kind of music I can only best describe as poetic indie pop. The kind of music that makes you want to embrace your youth, fall in love, get your heart broken but have fun and do it all over again. It has a melancholic but yet upbeat mood which produces nostalgia for memories you don’t even have. His recent EP, oh, how perfect from start to finish embodies just this. This style of music in the indie scene has been becoming more and more popular, with artists such as LANY, Troye Sivan, and Lauv creating headway for this mix of a genre.

Bakar

I first discovered Bakar when he opened for Dominic Fike(who you should also check out if you haven’t already) at a show in Hamburg but since then I’ve been hooked. Bakar, who was born and raised in Camden, effortlessly blends together rock, hip-hop, pop, indie, and punk elements into his 2018 album BADKID and 2019 EP(which he himself has labeled as more of just a story) Will You Be My Yellow? The tracks range from slow melodic Lo-fi songs like “Crtl Alt Del,” jazz and rock-influenced songs like “Hell N Back,” or punk tunes like “Big Dreams.” Bakar’s diverse discography ensures no one song is like the other.

Easy Life

Similar to Bakar, Easy Life is a 5 member band from Leicester, England whose music packages various genre influences into cohesive masterpieces. Most of their projects manage to blend jazzy guitar melodies with hip-hop and R&B heavy clap beats with a touch of electronic elements. Their music is the product of what a Frank Ocean, Hippo Campus, and Arctic Monkeys joint album would maybe song like.

Alexander 23

If loved ROLE MODEL, you’ll love Alexander 23. He falls under the poetic indie pop category but boasts a more upbeat, yet lo-fi array tracks than ROLE MODEL, but similarly, the vibe of work still makes you want to drive down a highway next to the beach with your windows down during a summer sunset. His lyrics show an intimate poetic approach to songwriting. Alexander 23, casually and often, composes songs with sad, somber lyrics with a happy cheerful backing track. His artistry has been compared to the likes of Alec Benjamin and Lauv, so you get the idea.

While slowthai has increasingly received recognition in England, he has still to hit the world stage, and therefore why I deem him worthy of making this list. The rapper, who was born Tyron Kaymone Frampton, from Northampton, England is no stranger to controversy within his music. His 2019 album, titled Nothing Great About Britain received backlash for its title and some the lyrical content within it, notably on the track of the same name where he calls Queen Elizabeth a c***. In September he drew attention again while performing at the Mercury Prize holding a fake severed head of UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. His music is perfectly described as the grimy rap you would expect to come out of England but his erratic style mixed with political messages in his music makes him the unique artist he is. He is constantly pushing boundaries, personally and musically. His most recent track, “Deal Wiv It” which is produced by fellow Brit, Mura Masa was a result of a session in which slowthai shouted over a beat for 20 minutes which was then cut down to its final 2:57.

Verzache

Zach Farache from Toronto, who the music world knows better as Verzache, produces a variety of different sounding tracks. From acoustic melodies like “Waiting For You” to hip-hop beat heavy tracks like “Feeling That Feel” to simple lo-fi instrumentals such as “Ice Cream,” Verzache is full of diversity within his music. His music seemingly blends together electronic trap sounds with acoustic ones, creating synth-style lo-fi tracks.

I was planning on making a short and concise post about my weight-loss experience. That didn't happen. It's turned into a bit of a lengthy piece, and I think that's quite appropriate as there is no one-stop weight-loss shop where you take it off and leave it off; losing weight and living healthy is a lifestyle, and getting there is a journey!Your path may cross through stormy peaks or roaring seas, and dangerous points of self-reflection; blood, sweat, and tears are not a must but they often do come. I'm here however, to tell you that the end result is worth it! Stick with me long enough and you'll see what I mean.In my youth I was quite active and never had any issues with my weight. I strut on through adulthood and was father to three beautiful children. I had a wonderful relationship with my partner. It was when she passed however, and the kids were out of the house, that I sunk into the deep chasm that was the darkest of depression.For close to three years I suffered in silence. I isolated myself from those around me and quickly shut off contact with the outside world. With walls closing in and darkness looming, I turned to the one constant and one constant alone I knew would never let me down: food.At first, I didn't see the problem. A little bit of weight didn't phase me, and besides, it's not like anyone was looking my way anyways. Eating made me happy, and happiness had become far too fleeting a thing in my life. So I ate. And I ate. And I ate.By the time I realized I had a problem I was helpless to fight it. I was stuck in a cyclic pit of disgust which I dug with my ever increasing self-loathing and filled back up with the same food responsible for it. It wasn't long before my weight had restricted me to my bed and my health had become seriously jeopardized.I couldn't clean myself, I could barely move, and when I looked in the mirror I wanted to die. I was well on my way, too; the doctors said that at my weight it was a wonder my organs hadn't already given out. My risk of cardiac arrest was astronomical and any form of anesthesia was the equivalent of a bullet to the head.I had two choices: I could die or I could try.I checked myself into the hospital.This was me on day one.I could literally fit all my kids inside me.I was scared and I felt sick. I was sick. But still more than anything, I wanted food. I wanted my noms. I needed them. Not that hospital swill they pass off as noms; that was like eating the cold wet offspring of cardboard and vomit.Also, I ached. My body was restless, but with no means of moving made do shooting painful spasms throughout all of my joints. The doctors said that my stagnation, coupled with the extreme pressure of my weight, had created some fairly severe arthritis. There was no reversing it, but if I lost enough weight the pain would subside.It was about then I decided I could maybe get on board.So this is me eating their swill. I know, I know - it looks like shit. But to be honest, it didn't taste all that bad. Once I understood - really understood - the correlation between eating and feeling healthy, it actually tasted pretty good! It was like having my noms, and eating them too!This is me exercising for the first time in years! Had you told me I'd be doing this years ago I'd have scoffed at you. But they taught me something here and I think it's important to share so hear me out: as long as my net caloric intake is lower than my net caloric burn, I can eat all I want! In other words, if I run for my noms, my weight will be gones!I've had an incredible personal trainer who has been absolutely amazing! Treating me like I was normal instead of gawking like I was some freak sideshow at the carnival was instrumental to my success. Feeling comfortable in my skin again was a tough hurdle but she made the transition smooth and painless. Admittedly, I've got a bit of a crush on her (but who can blame me, right!?).Moreover, she showed me how flawed and worn my thoughts had become; taught me to embrace my past instead of shun it; not to be ashamed of where I've been but to be proud of where I was going. She took my past faults and showed me their true face: that of a garden, with a sole stone walkway shining brightly on future strengths.Success didn't happen overnight. There were hiccups and plateaus; days where I was so proud of myself, and days where ugly thoughts would sit foremost in my mind ridiculing my feeble efforts. The importance of mental fortitude is severely underrated in weight-loss.
