I have so many thoughts and headcanons about the Gojo clan... You have no idea. 😭 Also, I'm talking out of my ass and everything I say is fictional and from pure imagination... Don't take it seriously.
The Gojo clan may or may not span 40 generations based off of how long ago Suguwara Michizane lived...
and ummm... That's a lot of generational wealth 🤯.
Tumblr media
Imagine if you married into that -- married Satoru Gojo. You're automatically the highest-ranking woman in the family, on top of having access to all that money. 😆
Listen, some of the world's richest families like the Rockefellers currently span 7 generations and they're worth billions of dollars.
Damn I really need a full backstory on the 3 major clans. I need to know how rich they are and how they maintained and/or grew that wealth until the modern day.
There's plenty of drama and info on the Zen'in clan. We get crumbs and pieces about the Kamo clan...
But info on the Gojo clan is close to nada, and I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THEM DAMMIT! I'm so thirsty for more worldbuilding in JJK, you have no idea.
At this point, just seeing Satoru's parents would make me happy.
I have a headcanon that Gojo's family, apart from being sorcerers and political powers in the jujutsu community, are probably mixed bags of company shareholders, politicians, lawyers, philantropists, etc.
Yeah, it's said that the Gojo clan is a one-man army that consists of Satoru Gojo, but I interpret that as Satoru outshining every other family member -- especially every other practicing sorcerer in the family. (There's simply no surpassing the wielder of the Six Eyes and the Limitless technique).
The Gojo clan is a sorcerer clan first and upper tier members of Japanese society second.
Some of Satoru's male relatives are probably Shinto and Buddhist monks. The point is to have a foothold in influential religions among non-sorcerers.
I like to think that maybe one sorcerer in the clan has Limitless... maybe his grandpa, but the man was never as efficient with it as Satoru Gojo.
Maybe the majority of the sorcerers in the Gojo clan fight with Grade 1 cursed tools and good-old hand-to-hand imbued with cursed energy. Maybe other cursed techniques exist within the Gojo clan too... It's all just overshadowed by Satoru.
I also think the Big 3 actually tend to keep to themselves (e.g., the Zen'ins having their own military unit). Their spawns don't ALL go to Jujutsu High, do they? It's a choice for them rather than a necessity. Like, Jujutsu High was established primarily for sorcerers who come from "somewhat normal" backgrounds, unlike people from the Big 3. Satoru was born into jujutsu sorcery and it's the only life he's ever known, whereas people like Suguru who come from non-sorcerer families are brought into Jujutsu Tech to learn about what it means to be a part of jujutsu society, and to teach them that they're not, you know, mentally ill because they can see curses.
Quick side note, I imagine Jujutsu Tech as the bridge between the branch of the Japanese government that is aware of the existence of curses and the jujutsu society as a whole. It just kind of makes sense that way, especially when you consider where their funds to pay people come from -- not from thin air, that's for sure. I mean, how else do the higher-ups get the funding to pay their actively practicing sorcerers, especially the special-grades? Does jujutsu sorcerer pay roll come from citizens' tax money?
Also... On top of Satoru Gojo having access to his clan's generational wealth and assets, how much is he getting paid as an instructor at Jujutsu Tech? Is that salary separate from his special-grade sorcerer salary? Is he technically working 2 full-time jobs?
Man is rolling in cash...
Anyway, I want to circle back to the point that Satoru Gojo is the most active sorcerer in the Gojo clan when it comes to interacting with the higher-ups and being a constant presence in Jujutsu Tech. Obviously, his fingerprints are all over Jujutsu society politics as well.
I headcanon that Satoru comes from a big family, actually. Satoru is an only child, but I imagine lots of cousins and aunts and uncles and distant relatives, and the Gojo estate is probably one massive compound where most of the family lives. Like, they can live in that huge ass ancestral property if they want too... There's plenty of room.
The clan also likely owns several other properties and probably small temples or shrines across Japan. They have one ancestral seat and other properties. That goes for the Kamo and the Zen'in clans as well.
That real estate portfolio be popping.
As for actual size, think Heian estate in ancient Japan big. It's expansive.
Tumblr media
Maybe the sorcerers in the family would be fond of living in the Gojo estate. The others, especially the ones who hold positions in the government or the military or who have public-facing jobs have their own homes registered under their own name, and not... you know... registered under the family with the clan head.
Another headcanon is that the clan head is capable of assigning properties and other clan assets to family members if he chooses to. Satoru Gojo can give away houses if he wants too, like a nobleman or European feudal lord. But for real, the Gojo clan might have been part of the nobility in ancient Japan, only losing their noble titles after the Imperial family changed the rules around the 1940s.
Speaking of, it's probably not a reach to assume, that the clan head has his fingers in many many honey pots. 🍯 That is to say, Satoru Gojo has access to more money than he can spend in a single life time. And after he's passed, maybe the money just goes back to the surviving members of the clan.
I need to know Satoru Gojo's net worth.
I think each of the Big 3 has their own hierarchy and their own family politics. Again, the Zen'ins are a prime example...
For the Gojo clan, I headcanon that there's a small council of elders -- people way older than Satoru. Satoru's own father is probably part of that. Put his grandfather and a couple of uncles and aunts in there too.
How do they work? I imagine it's pretty similar to how the Small Council functions in Game of Thrones. Like, there's someone in charge of managing finances, someone who keeps an ear on clan politics, someone who has a foothold in the national military, etc.
I imagine they have a bi-weekly gathering. They offer counsel, but the final decision in any dilemma they discuss always falls to the clan head -- Satoru Gojo.
I also headcanon that Satoru has a penthouse somewhere in Tokyo -- a place he considers as his own residence, away from clan politics and the rest of his probably snobby family.
But Satoru is always busy, so his penthouse is way too clean. It looks like no one lives there.
This is the vibe of the penthouse... I have his penthouse in my Sims 4 game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of snobby... The Gojo's clan general reputation? I would say... They're intellectual people, some of them are likely obsessed with history, and rigid and formal when it comes to observing traditions. I imagine they have a tendency to be really elegant.
Whenever the Zen'ins look at them, the stereotypical thought is, "Look at those pompous, snobby, jackasses."
In the succeeding years since December 7, 1989, the Gojo clan's sense of pride has only grown, because well... The most powerful and strongest sorcerer of the modern age came through their lineage.
Needless to say, Satoru Gojo is the pride and power of the Gojo clan.
Satoru's parents were practicing Grade 1 sorcerers... really active in the field, and Satoru's grandfather was Clan Head for a time.
Satoru's mom retired from fieldwork after she married Satoru's dad and after she got pregnant and became a mom. I love my headcanon that she's a shrewd politician and is all about maintaining good standing with the elders while doing intelligence gathering. The woman maintains a network, so she's always in-the-know.
Satoru doesn't make it easy for his mom especially when he goes around and does what he wants. e.g., Becoming a benefactor to Megumi, saving Yuji and Yuta, etc. She's actively working to cover his tracks wherever she can.
Satoru's mom is actively looking for a wife for him, for obvious reasons. The plan never came to fruition because of the Shibuya incident and Ch #236.
Satoru's father is more politician than actively practicing sorcerer by the time Satoru was studying in Jujutsu Tech. He's all about maintaining solid relations with the other clans, the elders, and collaborating with the branch of Japanese government that knows of the existence of jujutsu sorcery. He probably works with the Japanese government too.
Satoru Gojo visits the family estate once in a while... for other business, but primarily for hearings and clan meetings. It's peculiar to look at during these meetings because Satoru is the only person in that room who isn't wearing traditional clothes. Like, I headcanon that he shows up in casual attire, or his Jujutsu Tech uniform, complete with the blindfold.
His mom probably tried to talk him into wearing traditional clothes for these meetings when he was younger, but it just never stuck. Satoru is Satoru, after all.
After Satoru Gojo passes away, I like to imagine the Gojo clan takes a bit of a backseat. It's probably the wiser course of action too, considering everything that's happened in Japan after October 31, 2018.
[I know some people think he's the only survivor of the Gojo clan, but you gotta think of the fact that he learned about Hollow Purple from some people. Someone taught him FBE as a kid.]

Scandal After Scandal: Will They Never End?
Boris Johnson was so beset by scandal that his own party turned on him and threw him out of office. We all know about the Partygate affair but there were also questions raised regarding his personal monetary arrangements.  From charges of corruption concerning him asking a Tory donor to supply funds to refurbish his Downing Street residence, to his appointment of the BBC Chairman and an alleged £800,000 loan, Johnson was the epitome of the self-serving Tory.
Johnson has gone but the scandals have continued to rumble on. We had the unedifying debacle of multi-millionaire Nadhim Zahawi being forced to resign after he was  found  guilty of serious breaches of the ministerial code  by covering up issues to do with his attempts to minimise his tax bill.
Sunak’s own wife also avoided UK tax payments by claiming non-dom status. After being asked to “come clean” on his wife’s tax affairs and after much embarrassment the Sunak’s decided she should pay tax in this country.
It is not only those Tories at the top of government who are self-serving. Conservative MP’s have been calculated to have received an additional £15.2 million on top of their MP salaries, personal fortune hunting seemingly more important than giving their constituents 100% of their time.
“Since the end of 2019, millions of pounds of outside earnings have been made by a small group of largely Tory MPs."  (Skynews: 08/01/23)
When Sunak, after much delay, made public his own tax affairs we discovered that for the year 2021/22 he made £172,415 unearned income from dividends and £1.6 million from capital gains. In total, the PM paid an average tax rate of 22% over a three-year period.
For you and I, the basic rate of tax on income between £12,571 and £50,270 is 20%.  Between £50,271 and £125,140, it is 40 %, going up to 45% for earned income over £125,140.
For Mr Sunak to have only paid 22% on his millions is therefore quite a smack in face for ordinary tax-payers, and one only made possible because the Tories have arranged the tax system to benefit  themselves and their rich friends.
“Angela Rayner, Labour’s deputy leader, said: “[The tax returns] reveal a tax system designed by successive Tory governments in which the prime minister pays a far lower tax rate than working people who face the highest tax burden in 70 years
“… the fact that Sunak paid less than a quarter of his gains in tax highlighted the problems with taxing capital gains at a much lower rate than income…The low tax rate is because we have much lighter taxes on wealth than work”   (Guardian: 22/03/23)
So, if you work for a living, expect to pay proportionately more in tax than those who live on unearned income.
Way back in July 2022, Rishi Sunak was so disgusted with the immoral behaviour of Boris  Johnson that he resigned his post as Chancellor. This is what he said at the time:
“... the public rightly expect government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously. I recognise this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.”
But if a week is a long time in politics, then 9 months is an eternity. As we have seen, Sunak himself has become as equally embroiled in monetary scandal as his predecessor and now he is under investigation by the Parliamentary Standards Committee.
“Rishi Sunak investigation: Government blocked Freedom of Information request into childcare firm.
Mr Sunak is currently being investigated by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner over his failure to be more transparent about his wife’s shares in childcare agency Koru Kids when quizzed on the subject by MPs.
It comes after i revealed last month that Akshata Murty, the Prime Minister’s wife, holds shares in the firm, which stands to directly benefit from reforms to the childcare system announced in last month’s Budget.” (inews: 19/04/23)
Time and time again we see top Tories under investigation by the Parliamentary Standards Commission. Time and time again we see how self-serving and unprincipled our leaders really are. Mr Sunak it seems, is no different to his predecessors and the sooner he goes the better.

Exploring Nursing Opportunities Abroad: Top Countries for Indian Nurses
Nursing is one of the most in-demand jobs inside and outside India. A profession that is in most demand in GCC countries for Indians is the nursing job. For Indian nurses, who are looking to broaden their horizons, many countries are waiting with promising career opportunities. If you are a skilled nurse and have multilingual capabilities then wide opportunities will be there. The overseas opportunities will give you high pay as well as a high-standard working environment. The respect for nurses outside India is much higher than inside India. Nurses are being recruited through top nursing consultancy in Kerala and here is a list of the top countries that offer promising careers.
Five top countries that offer promising nursing career
United Arab Emirates: Dubai which is an opulent city right due to cultural and development richness hires nurses from India. A large part of nurses who work in Dubai are Indian and they a decent pay but not much higher than European and American countries. But the most attractive feature of Dubai is that the nurses can take their entire income to their homeland since there are no taxes. In Dubai, there are many world-class hospitals, medical centers, and clinics that offer good employment prospects for Indian and other nationalities.
Saudi Arabia: In Saudi Arabia, there are a plethora of job opportunities for nurses in both the private and Government sectors. They offer good pay, accommodation facilities and also travel allowances. Saudi Arabia is one of the largest nations in GCC countries and also the pilgrimage place for Muslims, the demand for medical facilities is very high. The demand for trained professionals especially from India is of high demand in Saudi. However, finding the right opportunity is a bit challenging since there is a high scam in the field of recruitment.
Canada: Canada is a country that offers a healthcare system with the highest standard. This country is facing staff shortages and is now actively recruiting nurses worldwide. The high-quality life and the welcoming stances towards immigrants make Canada an excellent choice for nurses. The medical facilities and education are completely free for immigrants.
Australia: Australia's flourishing healthcare industry and stunning landscapes attract nurses worldwide. With modern facilities and advanced technology, nurses can work efficiently. During leisure time, they can explore the country's picturesque natural environment. Competitive salaries and excellent benefits make it a lucrative career option. To work as a nurse in Australia, one must register with the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and pass English language proficiency tests.
United States of America (USA): The USA boasts a robust healthcare system with a significant demand for skilled nurses across various specialties. Indian nurses aspiring to work in the USA can pursue opportunities through programs like the H-1B visa for skilled workers or the EB-3 visa for professionals with tertiary education. Opportunities exist in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings throughout the country.
United Kingdom (UK): With its National Health Service (NHS), the UK offers extensive opportunities for Indian nurses to work in both public and private healthcare sectors. The UK's Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) oversees the registration process for international nurses, which includes passing the Occupational English Test (OET) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and meeting other requirements. Work settings range from hospitals and nursing homes to community healthcare centers.
Conclusion
If you are planning for an overseas nursing job, first research the rules and regulations for immigrants. Based on it decide which country is most suitable for you. There will be medical tests, mandatory examinations, and other verifications for each country. It is better to connect with any nursing consultancy in Kerala before you plan to move, they will guide you through the process and also provide you with data regarding the recruitment.

If nurses do strike please remember
The media/government will try to villainise us.
Over the past few years nurses have had pay rises which have not matched the rate of inflation at all. Our staffing has been decreasing by people becoming burnt out and unable to cope with the demands. Especially post COVID.
The Tories cut the student bursary causing uni applications to fall & brexit affected nurses coming from overseas.
Oh and those 50,000 nurses Boris promised us included 19,000 nurses we already had. And even then they failed on that with 500 nurses leaving the profession every week.
We know the NHS isn’t great. But that’s because it’s severely underfunded and over abused. And like every great idea the execution needs to be done right. And they don’t want to do it right because that would take money out of their mates pockets.
So they’ll shift focus. The money going to their mates in private companies & the pay rises MPs get will be forgotten as they tell you all about those greedy nurses who were offered 4.5% and still not happy!
And they’ll try and convince you that if we do strike we’re horrible people just out for the money. We’re not.
Do you think any MP would be doing it if the highest salary they got is £30k? I don’t.
And don’t worry they’ll target nurses too. They’ll use the fact that we don’t want to put our patients in danger to make us doubt whether we should be striking.
They guilt trip us into thinking about what will happen if we don’t go into work even for one day. Doris will miss her chemo! Dave’s operation will be cancelled again.
But Doris & Dave deserve better. They deserve a nurse that’s not working 50 hour weeks to cover the cost of living. They deserve a nurse that isn’t looking after 14 other patients because theyre short staffed again. They deserve a nurse who isn’t burnt out and hating their job but can’t leave because they need the little money they get. They deserve a nurse who doesn’t have to feed her kids from a food bank.
We all deserve better.
But we won’t get it without action.

London — "An estimated half a million workers across multiple sectors in the U.K. went on strike Wednesday in the biggest industrial action Great Britain has seen in more than a decade. The strikers included teachers, civil servants, train and bus drivers, border officials and university staff demanding better pay and working conditions amid soaring inflation and energy prices — difficult circumstances that an IMF forecast suggests may have been exacerbated by Brexit.
"The government have been running down our education (system), underfunding our schools and underpaying the people who work in them," the National Education Union's joint general secretary, Kevin Courtney, said, according to The Associated Press.
About 85% of schools across the country were either fully or partially closed due to the strikes on Wednesday, according to BBC News, leaving thousands of parents to either change their own work schedules or seek child care options.
"Primary schools where you can't find special needs assistants because they're taking jobs in supermarkets, where they are paid better — that's what's making people take action," said Courtney.
Wide-scale strikes have been held across the U.K. for months, grinding public services to a halt and disrupting hospital and emergency care, among other things. While nurses and ambulance workers weren't striking again Wednesday, they do plan to return to picket lines in the coming days.
Inflation in the U.K. has soared over the last year to the highest rates seen in 40 years, and it still stood Wednesday at 10.5%.
On Tuesday, the International Monetary Fund said the U.K. would be the only major economy to contract this year, performing worse even than Russia, which is still under heavy international sanctions over its invasion of Ukraine.
In October, the IMF forecast that Britain could expect modest growth in 2023, along with other European nations emerging from the coronavirus pandemic and adjusting to energy markets largely devoid of Russian fuel. But its new forecast this week sees the British economy shrinking by 0.6%.
The IMF did not link its prediction to the U.K.'s exit from the European Union three years ago, but Britain's trade has shrunk as a result, and many workers from the EU have left the U.K. since Brexit, causing a labor shortage that other European countries haven't had to contend with.
Many public sector workers say that their salaries have decreased in real terms over the last decade, and the soaring inflation has pushed them into financial difficulty, with some forced to use food banks.
U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has so far taken a hard line against the strikes, insisting that some of the pay increases being demanded by public sector workers are not affordable for the government. Union leaders say the government has refused to offer anything that would be meaningful enough to call off the strikes.
"Our children's education is precious, and they deserve to be in school today," Sunak said.
The leader of a national federation of trade unions, Paul Nowak, said the strikes would not stop unless meaningful change was achieved.
"The message to the government is that this is not going to go away. These problems won't magically disappear," he said, according to The Associated Press."

There were a lot of things that made me want to spit nails during the pandemic lockdowns, but I think the one that made me the most murderous was the way everyone just dove straight into digital-by-default. We've got lockdowns happening all over, but people still need to access government services! What to do? Why, 'pivot' to online-only, of course!
Except the lockdowns had closed the libraries, too, as a 'recreational' service.
The 'let them eat cake' of expecting people needing government services to access them on their home computers took my breath away. It was so on the nose as to feel like something in an old sci-fi novel; a catch-22 of the highest order. But if you've got a job making decisions at the government level, you are necessarily making enough money that you no longer know how most people live. That's how salaries work!
It took us months to convince the government that no, actually, they had taken away every other option these people had, they did in fact need to consider us as the essential service we are. Books, as vital and wonderful as they are, can be recreational. But in a rural community, the library is the only place to get wifi for a lot of people who don't use the internet regularly.
We turn out not to have learned our lesson on digital-by-default in the slightest, as the ArriveCan debacle proves.
"Why do you need so many buckets," they ask from the top of the hill as we furiously bail the flood below. "Nobody needs to make that many sandcastles!"

It is “deeply disappointing” the gender pay gap has scarcely narrowed in recent years, the UK’s leading gender equality charity has warned.
Fawcett Society, who analysed the latest data from the Office for National Statistics, said the mean hourly gender pay gap for full-time workers is currently 11.3 per cent, while it was 11.9 per cent last year, and 10.6 per cent in 2020.
Equal pay day - the day in the year when women effectively start to work for free in comparison to men due to lower pay - will fall on 20 November this year, the charity announced.
Meanwhile, Women’s Budget Group warned the gender gap will rise if the Tory government “pursue austerity 2.0” in the forthcoming full Autumn Statement in mid-November.
Jemima Olchawski, Fawcett Society’s chief executive, said: “It is deeply disappointing that the gender pay gap has barely shifted in the past few years, especially given the cost of living crisis is hitting women the hardest and forcing them to make impossible choices.
“Other data indicates that the pay gap may be even worse for women of colour - though we still don't know the full picture.”
She called for “urgent action” to ensure “women’s equality” is “at the heart of our economic recovery”.
Ms Olchawski added: “The government should make flexible work the default with a requirement for jobs to be advertised as flexible upfront, to enable more women to work.
“We need mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting and action plans, and we need employers to stop asking discriminatory salary history questions. Women can’t afford to wait any longer for the gap to close.”
While the charity stated the mean hourly gap for both full-time and part-time workers was 13.9 per cent in 2022, while it was 14.9 per cent in 2021, and 13.9 per cent in 2020.
Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson, director of the Women’s Budget Group, told The Independent: “The gender pay gap reflects the different positions of women and men in the economy, and the fact that women are over-represented in lower paid sectors such as childcare and social care and underrepresented in the highest earning sectors.
“At the same time, because childcare and social care are stretched and under-funded, women are working less or not at all to fill the gaps because they can’t make the numbers add up. This means that the gender earnings gap in annual pay is even larger at 30.8 per cent”.
Dr Stephenson, whose calculations were based on the same data, warned the UK is currently “looking down the barrel of further funding cuts to the public sector”.
She added: “Which is a triple whammy to women’s income because women are more likely to work in the public sector, to rely on public services, and to step in and provide unpaid care work when the public sector withdraws services.”
Dr Stephenson noted the new PM Rishi Sunak and the new chancellor Jeremy Hunt “can pursue austerity 2.0” in the full Autumn Statement, announced on 17 November, but added this will cause the gender pay gap to increase, as well as reversing “women’s economic equality”.
She added: “Or they can take bold action and protect and invest in public services to increase jobs, increase women’s ability to work and increase resulting tax revenues. Economic prosperity and equality are not in competition, quite the opposite.”

"… or all the money I would ever need to enact my world domination plans?" what would you do if you succeeded in achieving world domination?
Ooh! Fun! 😃
I'm going to assume that I have achieved unlimited power in this scenario! The Supreme Empress of the Earth, answering to no one!
First, I would make sure to have my council and the highest officials be scientists rather than professional politicians. It's incredibly important that laws be driven by rationality and research, not blind human emotion.
One of the first things I would do is to end all discrimination by the State. There should be no country on the planet where people should have to fear for their lives or freedom because of race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality or mental health. I would also see laws in place to protect systems, specifically, and make it easier to go by whatever names they choose to go by.
I would stop punishing many victimless offenses, such as those involving drugs. However, I would majorly tax drug manufacturing and dealing so that they couldn't be sold super cheap by legal vendors. Organized crime would be crippled, but drugs wouldn't be anymore affordable. And money earned through these taxes could go towards drug treatment facilities.
I would completely overhaul the prison system to focus primarily on rehabilitation; not on punishment but on training people to become functioning members of society. I would get together the best psychologists on the planet to find the best ways to accomplish this task, and use different facilities as testing grounds to find what methods help reduce repeat offenses the best.
I would also not call them prisons anymore. To reflect their new purpose in society, they would be called "reprogramming centers." And if that name sounds creepy, then it's doing its job of making you not want to commit a crime, because no one wants to get sent away to something called a reprogramming center. Even if it's nowhere near as bad as prisons are.
There are many other things I would want to implement. A universal basic income. (Perhaps adjusted based on local economies.) Free medical and mental healthcare. Better funding for education in impoverished areas. Too many things to list here.
I would also give myself a massive salary for projects that I feel would be outside of the scope of the government. Those that, if done by the government directly, might be classified as propaganda. I would want my own corporation which would have someone else as its face, with its hands in a number of different sectors. Gaining a foothold in entertainment is a must to ensure the propagation of positive moral values, just as shows like Steven Universe and The Owl House today will be hugely beneficial to building an accepting population of children who will carry those values into adulthood. It's incredibly important to support diversity of all kinds in entertainment, normalizing those who would be "othered."
Encouraging creators to make more content about plural characters is one reason I make sure to reblog every post from @/pluralprompts. The more systems who write plural characters, the more they share that writing with others, the more normal we'll seem. Others are content with changing to suit the world. I would prefer to change the world to suit us.
As Supreme Empress, I would have the funds to purchase my own film and animation studios that I could use to influence the next generation. I would also put my hands into video games, books, and make sure to sponsor independent creators who supported positive values.
Finally, the biggest flaw with any benevolent dictatorship is that the dictator will die and be replaced by someone less benevolent. I would not like to have my work undone upon the moment of my death, so I would invest great sums into preventing that. Ideally, we would be able to upload our brain directly into a machine.
But failing that, perhaps we could build an AI that was advanced enough to copy my way of thinking of perfectly. It could... introject me, if you will. I would invest in multiple avenues of science to accomplish a way of immortalizing myself. My ultimate goal would be to, in order to prevent my utopia from falling into chaos or being controlled by those with less-benevolent motives, create a way to live on past the death of our physical body, transcending humanity entirely and becoming an immortal God-Empress that could guide the human race for millennia to come.
Because what's the point of dreaming if you aren't dreaming big?

Brazilian government proposes law to reduce salary gap between men and women, creates program to combat menstrual poverty, opens new domestic violence centers
Tumblr media
On International Women’s Day, the Brazilian government presented a bill to reduce the salary gap between men and women who hold the same job. Data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), a government agency that gathers information on Brazilians, point out that the difference in payment, which had been falling until 2020, has risen again and today is 22%.
This means that a Brazilian woman earns, on average, 78% of a man’s salary. To reverse this scenario, the government bill provides that employers who pay different salaries to a woman who has the same time at the company, the same function and similar education to a male employee may be fined 10 times the value of the highest salary paid at the company.
Another measure announced by the government was the offer of pads by the Unified Health System (SUS), which is the public health network in Brazil, focusing on the population that is below the poverty line. President Lula has already signed the decree that creates the “Program for the Protection and Promotion of Menstrual Dignity.”
In addition to the salary equality project and the fight against menstrual poverty, the government announced another 20 measures linked to women’s rights that involve 19 different ministries. Actions include, for example, the implementation of over 40 Casas da Mulher Brasileira, shelter centers for female victims of domestic violence, and investments of R$ 372 million (USD $74.4 million) in the fight against gender violence.
