How can I understand that Mohammad (pbuh) is really the prophet of God?
THE EVIDENCES OF OUR PROPHET’S (PEACE BE UPON HIM) PROPHETHOOD
a- News About His Coming In the Previous Divine Books
In the previous divine books, there are expressions that give us some information about our Prophet’s (pbuh) coming as good news and that he will be sent to humankind as a prophet. Even if they were exposed to many changes, there are many signs about him in the Old Testament and New Testament copies that are present today.
We will present only four of them from the Old Testament:
“…Moses says: “God will create a prophet like me among your brothers; you are going to listen to whatever he says. And all the prophets, Ishmael (Samuel) and the others coming in a row have always declared these days that are mentioned.”
“…And your Lord… did not create a prophet like Moses in Israel.”
“I will create a prophet like you for them among their brothers and I will put my words in his mouth and I will command him; he will tell everything to them.”
“The Lord came from Sinai and appeared to them from Sair; He shone upon Paran Mountains and ten thousands holy people came out of it. For them there was a fire decree on the right.”
We can conclude the following from the extracts taken from the Old Testament (Torah):
Moses’ address as “your brothers” to Israelites that come from the blood of Ibrahim’s son, Isaac is a symbol of Isaac’s brother Ishmael’s blood, namely to Ishmaelites. A prophet who will come from Ishmaelites can only be our Prophet; because only our Prophet (pbuh) has come from Ishmael’s blood. Here, it comes to mind that Jesus and Joshua as being prophets come after, but in fact, both of them come from Israelites not Ishmaelites. In fact, Moses has obviously told in the second verse that there will not be a prophet like him from Israelites.
Moses means our Prophet by saying “like me” because it was our Prophet who was like Moses; neither Jesus nor Joshua in many matters such as jihad, decrees that he brought, punishments he imposed, being someone who is highly obeyed by majority and so on.
The expression “I will put my words in his mouth” is our Prophet’s ability to read the Quran by heart even if he is illiterate. Allah, the Exalted, sent His revelation to His prophet and he orally told humankind about it. In this matter, He is in a position of intercessor. This verse of the Quran points to it: “Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: With it came down the Spirit of Faith and Truth― To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. Without doubt it is (announced) in the revealed Books of former peoples. Is it not a Sign to them that the learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? (ash-Shuara, 26/192-197.)
The expression “coming from Sina” symbolizes the divine decrees given on Mount Sinai. The expression “appearing from Sair” symbolizes the Bible given to Jesus. And the expression “shining on Paran mountains” represents our Prophet’s leaving from Mecca. Paran –with its spelling in Arabic, Faran- is one of the old names of Mecca and it is told in the genesis part of the Bible that Ishmael lives in Paran desert. In this verse, through the expression ‘holy’, is the character of our Prophet, who is away from every kind of faults and the people in his family and his companions. Similarly, the expression “fire decree on the right” indicates Jihad in Islam.
It is also possible to see some signs in some texts of the present day Bible:
“The corner stone became the head of corner…it is marvelous in our eyes… God’s property will be taken away from you and it will be given to a nation that will bring up His fruits and anyone who falls onto that stone will break into pieces; and that stone will cause anyone that it falls onto break into pieces and turn to powder.”
“Lord will you give you another prophet; and let him be with you till the end.”
“He will teach you everything and will bring into your mind whatever I have told you before.”
“…If I don’t go, the prophet will not come… and when He comes, He will bind all the world for sin, improvement and decrees.”
The “corner stone” in first verse cannot be Jesus; because there occurred no events like breaking into pieces and turning into pieces like powder during the period of Jesus and what he brought with him. However, it happened when our Prophet came. Besides, it was not Jesus who ruled but our Prophet. As a matter of fact, it was Jesus himself who told us that He did not come to rule. On the other hand, in hadiths, our Prophet himself tells us that he is the corner stone of prophethood construction, that is, the propethood was brought into perfection and completed with our Prophet.
In the verses that followed, the origin of the word appearing as Prophet in Greek is “Piriklitos” and “Ahmad” in Arabic. Besides, in the Quran, it is mentioned that our Prophet’s name is “Ahmad” in the Bible. In fact, we do not have many Bibles today that tell us about our Prophet’s coming and his characteristics.
b- His Excellent and Unique Ethics
It is a fact confirmed by all resources that deal with history that our Prophet (pbuh) helped everybody, supported people who were in need, lived a plain life, never lied, forgave people who behaved adversely towards him, was a reliable person in all matters and was a perfect man having “Excellent and Great Ethics” every period of his life before and after his prophethood. The Quran mentions our Prophet’s unique ethics as follows:
“And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character.” (al-Qalam, 68/4.)
It can only be possible for a prophet who undergoes direct divine upbringing to live all moral values, and to give us examples of these values as a human against all kinds of detention, condition and situation in every phase of life.
He has combined all kind of excellent characteristics to form the greatest personality. He was absolutely brave and doughty but he was also excessively humble, meek and mild. Furthermore, the most importantly, his bravery and doughtiness never went ahead to break hearts and his humility and forgiving characteristic never fell down to an equal level of contempt and cowardice. Together with his solemnity and earnestness, our Prophet was a smiling and restful person. In addition, as well as his strong and austere characteristics, he was a person who loved everybody and showed mercy to them. In spite of being in a spiritual position that his lovers directed toward him with their deepest feelings, he was humble enough to talk to a child. Yet, he was extremely generous but he was also very economical; he would not to go beyond a point where extravagance started. The fact that he had all these characteristics, ethical values and many more like these and that he served as an example in accordance with them can only be explained by being a special human being and a person of duty (prophethood).
Our Prophet (pbuh), who preferred to live a plain life during his life, always refused the worldly promises offered to him again and again such as ranks and fortune in the period of Makkah. He also had an important role for his family and children to keep away from such things which he always kept himself away from. His sensitivity will be understood better about these matters if we look at his family where receiving charities and alms are forbidden and if we look at his daughter Fatimah for whom there was even no permission to wear a necklace. The fact that he did not change after all kinds of achievements, victories and financial possibilities acquired in the period of Madinah shows us the honesty degree of his great and unique ethics. The fact that he did not get confused and that he did not feel conceited and that he finished his duty as he started even after the greatest victories and conquests is a brilliant evidence of his prophethood.
In short, if there had been a lie or a sign of insincerity in his words and behaviors, he would certainly have been unable to hide it in his prophethood period or before the prophethood, and as a result, his opponents seeking for an opportunity would have reached their targets by benefiting from this situation without needing to grab their swords.
Then, we can easily say that even if he had not shown any miracles, He, himself is a great evidence and witness for his honesty and prophethood.
c- Revolutions He realized in the history of Humanity
It is impossible to show anybody else who comprehended and raised human beings that are complex creatures and who turned them into exemplary people in history who became pathfinders and teachers for civilized nations.
He is a rightful Prophet sent by God with true messages. The immaculate life that he led and the unique revolution that he realized are sound evidences that he speaks in the name of Allah.
We find it useful to make some remarks about the issue.
How can one suspect of him being a true Prophet? He embraced life at every point and built up a flawless universal system which he commenced with a man, a child, a slave and a woman integrating it into life in a period of twenty-three years, which is actually a really short time. How can one explain the fact that he speaks as an expert at every field gives straight answers and says immortal words despite the fact that he had no pedagogic education, did not graduate from any military school, never got in contact with a telescope or microscope in his life and he was illiterate?
Our Prophet extracted the most valuable guides of humanity out of a society that consisted of stubborn, oppressing and conceited people of the desert where the weak and the poor were kept down and where people were valued by their lineage and tribes. In this very society, interest, black-marketeering and power ruled. How can this situation be explained by anything except for the fact that he is a Prophet.
It is obvious that it is very hard to alter beliefs and habits, especially obsessions rooted in the brain and heart; it is even harder to make people who are over a certain age quit faulty and superstitious beliefs. In our modern world, making someone give up smoking is considered a great success let alone making people quit practices like taking alcohol, prostitution, bribing, defrauding and theft. Although scientist keep telling harms of alcohol, smoking and gambling, people still cannot be persuaded to quit them.
Let us have a look at the century which was completely changed by our Prophet. We witness that although he was not a ruler, which means he did not conduct his mission by force and as a matter of fact he did not have the possibility to do it by forcing people, he removed not one or ten but hundreds of habits and customs in a very short time with very little resources from various tribes and communities that consisted of stubborn, conservative and tradition-addicted people with deeply rooted customs. Moreover, not only did he remove those habits and customs but also he replaced them with features that make a man a real human. Is it not the duty of every single person that knows all of the facts mentioned above to say ’You are the Messenger of Allah’?
While doing all of these, he did not benefit from intimidating or forcing; instead, he followed a way to conquer their hearts and minds; he persuaded them kindly that actually led them to love this religion. If he had used intimidation and brutal force, it would not have been possible for the religion he brought to reach today. He not only gained the love of his friends with his behavior which consists of tolerance, tenderness and being merciful but he also earned the love of his enemies who fought against him with their swords such as Khalid bin Walid, Wahshi, Abu Sufyan, Hind, Ikrimah and Safwan.
He is the model for a quarter of the population of the world with the Quran he conveyed to people and with its living interpretation, his Sunnah. Besides, if it is not possible, and it is not possible, to show a second person whose name is heard all over the world five times a day, then, should not one think that this very person can only be a Prophet getting his power from Allah?
d- The news he gave about the past and the future
Only Allah can now ghaib (the unknown, the unseen). The Quran attracts attention to this truth in its many verses. In this respect, our Prophet would not have known about the future events as he was a human being but he knew about the future to the extent that Allah told him. The issue is expressed in a verse as follows;
“He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries― Except a messenger whom He has chosen”. (Jinn, 72/26-27.)
He did not say anything by himself; what He said was only what God informed him. So, we will assess the news of our Prophet about ghaib in two categories as the future and the past.
a- None of the news he gave using the Quran both about a single person and past nations like Ad, Thamud and Iram has been denied by the archeological and scientific researches carried out for fourteen centuries; on the contrary, they have been confirmed as new discoveries have been made every day. In addition, he not only told us these events as stories of the past but also as exemplary scenes that need to be taken lessons from. How can it be explained that our prophet (pbuh), who was illiterate, assuredly criticized the books of divine origin like the Torah and the Gospel in the presence of the scholars living at that time and the future scholars and confirmed the correct parts of them and corrected the mistakes in them? Only by the fact that he was a prophet.
b- We can mention some of his news about the future here except for those in the Quran: Just before the Battle of Badr, the Prophet showed people the exact death locations of the idolaters such as Abu Jahl, Utba, and Shayba and they died in the exact places that the Prophet showed. He told people that it would be her daughter, Fatima, who would die first after his death in his family and she died six month after the death of the Prophet. When Hassan was a small boy he pointed to him and said, ”This is my son, Hasan; He is a Sayyid and Allah will restore peace between two large groups through him and also it happened exactly. He said that Ammar Bin Yasir was going to be killed during a mischief. He also said that Ummu Haram who was a relative of him would attend to an expedition and it happened during Cyprus expedition…
There is news of distant future from our Prophet. Since such news require comments and deep thought, this surpasses the capacity of this work.
As a result, There is no way but kneel down in front of this illiterate person once again and say that” You are the Messenger of Allah” as he miraculously narrated it with a perfect style and precision the events that happened centuries ago before his time and also events that will take place in the future.
Miracles That He Showed
Miracle can be defined as a situation or event shown by Allah through His Prophets to support the accuracy of inspiration, strengthen the faith of believers and to break the pertinacity of deniers. We can classify the miracles of our Prophet within two separate groups. The Quran itself and the miracles about those who are created:
a. The Eternal Miracle: The Quran
There is no suspicion that his greatest miracle is the Quran. The Quran, with its ultra modern reality, stands in front of us as evidence that supports the prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh).
The Quran came out in the hands of an illiterate person and the truths it includes do not conflict with each other. As it includes news from the future and the past and refers to some issues about creation, which are some of the miraculous features of the Quran, the things in the Quran are clear evidences of the fact that the Quran is the word of Allah and Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) is a prophet.
Every Prophet showed miracles associated with things which were popular at their time. For instance, during the time of Moses, magic was popular and he came up with a staff that wiped out all other magical things. Around the time of Jesus Christ, medical appliances and medicine were popular. Therefore,he was granted the miracle of healing incurable illnesses and reviving dead people. In the time of our Prophet poetry and being articulate in speech were highly important so he came up with the miraculous Quran as rhetoric would be the most effective and powerful instrument of his time and future. Therefore, our Prophet came with the miracle of the Quran, which silenced all poets, literary men and speech-makers.
b. Other miracles and the issues that should be emphasized about those miracles
Naturally, the miracles associated with our Prophet are not only limited to our Holy Book, the Quran. As he was sent as mercy to all worlds, he showed various miracles about all kinds of creatures and beings. When a sovereign sends his messenger to a country where different nations and communities reside, everyone welcomes this messenger in the name of their nation, tribe or community. In the same way, Our Prophet came to the humanity as a representative and an official. In addition, he was sent to other beings and creatures as a sign of mercy and forgiveness of Allah. That is, all beings gained their true meaning of existence when our Prophet taught humanity that there is only one God. So, all of the beings from angels to jinn, from stars to trees and stones, from animals to plants presented their thanks to him and became tools for the miracles that came out of his hand. Thus, everything became witnesses for the truthfulness of this messenger and declared it to the universe.
The point we are trying to emphasize may be regarded to include exaggerated expressions. At this point, it will be sufficient for us to remind this: it must not be forgotten that the message our Prophet brought, the mercy and forgiveness sent through him are associated with all other universes or dimensions. Based on this, it is reasonable that every dimension of the universe become a scene for those miracles that confirm his prophethood.
One cannot deny a miracle in terms of its probability. Although miracles are shown by prophets, it is Allah who creates them. Nothing is hard or easy for Him. The Quran says “It is Allah who does whatever He wishes to do”. God does things based on laws and reasons as it is a necessity of His Divine Justice. However, He does not have to do things based on reasons. Actually, it is out of question for Allah. So, He shows miracles both to show that He does not have to act based on the laws and to prevent minds from being caught up by webs of reasons and laws. Thus, He reminds us that His power is beyond cause and effect and that it is infinite.
All the miracles did not occur in public where everyone could clearly see them. If it had happened this way, there would be no wisdom for the existence of the human mind. In such a situation, human beings would not have their free will and they would be forced to believe, which would not be compatible with the test and trial that they underwent.
Most of the miracles were reported by a community that would not come together to tell lies. Some of the miracles were not reported by a group like the one mentioned above but they are as reliable as those since the other witnesses/sahabas (companions of the Prophet) did not object to them.

THE FEMALE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET (PBUH): Part 20
FATIMA BINT ASAD (radhiallahu anha)
Who does not want to do favors and help people when it is possible? If the poor person is an oppressed person who needs to be taken care of, we can forget about even our own needs and fulfill that person’s wishes. We will not eat but feed him; we will not wear new clothes but make him wear. We do all of the favors that we can. Ali’s blessed mother, Hz. Fatima, had such a spirit. She had the burden of a big family with her husband Abu Talib. He was a well-known and respected person of Quraysh but he was a poor person who hardly made ends meet. When his father, Abdulmuttalib, died, his beloved nephew, Muhammad, was entrusted to him.
The material upbringing of this precious orphan, who was eight years old, was under the responsibility of his uncle but he needed the compassion of a mother and a loving heart more.
Hz. Fatima did her best so as not to make this blessing child feel that he was motherless.
She fed and clothed him before her own children; she combed his hair before her own children. What is more, she acted as if she was his real mother. Thus, the Prophet lived with his uncle and aunt and under their protection until he got married.
When the Messenger of Allah was assigned the duty of prophethood, he was inflicted unbelievable tortures by the polytheists.
This situation distressed Hz. Fatima very much and made her sad. She protected him with Abu Talib and did her best to make him forget the pains. She became a Muslim after a while. The Messenger of Allah became very glad when Fatima, whom he liked as if she was his own mother, became a Muslim and forgot about his pains.
Hz. Fatima attained the honor of becoming a muhajir when she migrated to Madinah.
However, what made her happier was the fact that she became the mother-in-law of the Prophet’s beloved daughter, Fatima, whom he described as “a part of me”. She regarded it a great honor. She did her best so as not to distress Hz. Fatima. They shared the tasks at home. They did their tasks in the best way and helped each other. They set an example of how a daughter-in-law and a mother-in-law should treat each other. They're getting on very well rejoiced both the Messenger of Allah and Hz. Ali.
The Prophet showed her gratitude and duty of loyalty to Fatima bint Asad whenever it was possible.
He frequently visited her, asked about her health and helped her. He did more than what a son would to his mother. He addressed her “mum” and mentioned her by saying “mum”.
Four years passed after the Prophet migrated to Madinah. The Prophet, whose face always smiled, was sad one day. He expressed the reason for his sadness as follows:
“My mum passed away today.”
This blessed woman was Fatima bint Asad, who took care of the Prophet in her house, who was among the first ones who believed in him, and who left her hometown when migration to Madinah started because she could not put up with being away from him.
The Prophet took off his shirt and wanted it to be used as her shroud.
He himself led her janazah prayer. Then, her dead body was placed in the grave. The grave was big. The Prophet also entered the grave. He lay there for a while. Then, he came out. There were tears coming from his eyes. The tears fell onto the grave. This attitude of the Prophet’s represented his closeness to her. It was also a compliment to her. For, the grave that the Prophet’s body touched would be a garden of Paradise.
The Companions asked the Prophet about his attitude toward her:
“O Messenger of Allah! We have not seen you taking care of anybody else like this?”
The Prophet answered them as follows:
“She was my mother. She fed me before her own children. She combed my hair and put rose oil on me first though her own children were dirty and dusty. She was my mother. I have not met anybody who took care of me more than her after my uncle Abu Talib. I put my own garment on her so that she will be clothed in garments of Paradise. I lay down in her grave for a while so that life in the grave will be easy for her.“
After the soil was thrown on the dead body of Hz. Fatima, the Messenger of Allah prayed as follows for his beloved mother:
"O, Mum! May Allah show mercy on you and reward you with goodness. You treated me like a mother after my own mother. You fed me while you yourself went hungry. You gave me new clothes though you yourself did not have new clothes.  You gave me the best food without eating them yourself. You did this for the sake of Allah and the hereafter.
Allah gives both life and death. O, Allah!  Forgive my mother, Fatima bint Asad and widen her grave! O, Allah! The Most Merciful of all who have mercy! Accept my prayer for my sake and for the sake of Your previous prophets!”
After a while, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) smiled and gave the people who were there the following glad tiding:
Jibril said to me, ‘This woman is a person of Paradise.’ Besides, Allah ordered 70 thousand angels to perform her janazah prayer. The angels performed her janazah prayer.”(Usdu'l-Ghaba, 5: 517; Mustadrak, 3: 108; Hz. Muhammed ve İslamiyet, 4137; Tabaqat, 8: 222.)

Part 1: New year coming but I’m still so extremely exhausted. When will this hardship last. Wallahi I’ve been praying nonstop and wishing for the best but everything just keeps getting worse. I’m so tired I’m slowly giving up I’m loosing hope I’m dying in the inside. And being a Muslim girl it’s hard to talk to my parents about everything because it deals with a guy. I’ve tired everything I really don’t know what to do anymore. I hate this pain. I can’t breath, I can’t breath, I can’t stop cryin
Part 2: I can’t sleep anymore I can’t eat or drink or talk or smile I feel so weak I’m so terribly tired. If he wasn’t meant for me why would Allah swt wait 5 years to end it? And why have I been getting good signs if everything keeps getting worse ya rab I’m so angry. It hurts seeing my mom look at me the way she does because she keeps asking me what’s wrong and I can never tell her. I lost myself. I’m so sensitive and no one understands no one will ever understand this pain.
Part 3: my dear sister I don’t wish this pain upon my worst enemy. Everything is falling apart. My friends father who is a sheikh did a marriage istikhara and it all came out positive between us but why, why is this happening. I don’t think I can live without him. May Allah reward you for your time :(
Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuh my love,
My sister, Allah knows and in sha Allah this hardship will end soon. Until then, put your complete and absolute trust in Allah. Remember Allah’s timings and plans are wise and perfect - perfect timing included. I can understand, you feel exhausted, you feel you’re giving your best to Allah yet things aren’t getting better. Where is the help of Allah? I’m praying, I’m making dua, I’m doing this and that to please Him - so why are things not getting better? They will in sha Allah, He may be testing and building your patience and love for Him. You may be questioning if Allah is even listening, He is my sister.
And you’re not alone in feeling such a way:
“Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said,“When is the help of Allah ?” Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.” [Quran, 2:214]
Commentary: “Lit., “while yet there has not come to you the like of [what has come to] those who passed away before you”. This passage connects with the words, “God guides onto a straight way him that wills [to be guided]”, which occur at the end of the preceding verse. The meaning is that intellectual cognition of the truth cannot, by itself, be a means of attaining to ultimate bliss: it must be complemented by readiness to sacrifice and spiritual purification through suffering.”
This above gives me great hope, even their messenger questioned where is the help of Allah? Alhumdulilah we aren’t experiencing tests as severe as messengers and their companions faced. Only Allah knows when He’ll set things straight for you, but until then - with the trust and hope in Allah - “And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ]” [Quran, 2:45]
Don’t lose hope, your life is in Allah’s hands and He will take care of you, even if things do not work out with this man you’re referring to. Everything in this world is temporary, including your sorrow but Allah gave us a guide to navigating life’s problems, the Quran. Find comfort in the Quran and be guided on how you should act during tests, Allah reassures us time and time again in the Quran and shows His miracles - it will help you and increase you in tawakkul.
Be patient my love, good things will come to you soon in sha Allah. Stay optimistic and think good of Allah. Shaitaan will try to break your hope and trust in return, say: Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah Wah-dahu la sharika Lahu; wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasuluhu, radhitu Billahi Rabban, wa bi Muhammadin Rasulan, wa bil Islami Dinan I testify that there is no true god except Allah Alone; He has no partners and that Muhammad (ﷺ) is His slave and Messenger; I am content with Allah as my Rubb, with Muhammad as my Messenger and with Islam as my Deenit drives him away, I’ve tried it! And saying the above reassures our hearts - we are pleased with Allah, Muhammad ﷺ, and islam, and this will please Allah too. Now that we’re mentioning this, we should say this after adhan as well as a hadith says:Sa’d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He who says after the Adhan: ‘Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah Wah-dahu la sharika Lahu; wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasuluhu, radhitu Billahi Rabban, wa bi Muhammadin Rasulan, wa bil Islami Dinan’ his sins will be forgiven.”[Muslim].
Going back, also when shaitaan is making you feel miserable, increase your ibadah - your love for Allah will grow and Shaitan’s effects on you will lessen in sha Allah.
‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “The most hope-inspiring verse in the Quran is the verse in which Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.} [Quran 42:30] Then, he, may Allah be pleased with him, commented, “If He expiates my sins by afflictions and pardons much, so what should remain after His expiation and pardon?”
“No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah . And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.” [Quran, 64:11]

I said in a previous ask: “don’t lose hope in Allah’s mercy and always believe that Allah does what is best for us, even though it may feel like the opposite. He is the all-wise, the all-knowing. He knows and we do not know. He wants good for us, we cause our own destruction. He is the Merciful, Forbearing, and Compassionate. The Loving and the Giver. Nothing supersedes His wisdom.”
Also look through these, in sha Allah:

May Allah help you sister, ameen. I will make dua for you. I hope for the best for you. Take care of yourself, and never lose hope in Allah and never leave Him. Love you sis ❤️❤️❤️  Things will get better in sha Allah! Take care of your needs, eat and sleep well - don’t torture yourself. Treat your mother well, try to be happy in front of her. Don’t torture yourself, everything will be okay in the end in sha Allah - tawakkul is key, most times we never know how things will turn out and we do not know how our life will turn out to be, so we must rely on Allah and trust Him at all times 💕

tankers make special deliveries to VIPs...
Even as dry taps begin to flow in the Klang Valley, frustrated netizens were not amused upon learning that VIPs were allegedly getting special treatment by having water in tankers delivered directly to their homes.
Among the VIPs were Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari and his family. There were also allegations that federal ministers were getting the same special deliveries.
Unlike ordinary Selangor residents who were forced to purchase bottled water or wait in line for water, an Instagram posting by Amirudin's wife, Masdiana Muhammad, which had gone viral, showed an Air Selangor tanker parked right in front of their house with a hose entering the driveway.
"Thank you Air Selangor for sending water.
"I understand you are the frontliner right now, may Allah bless your services," said a part of Masdiana's caption on the photograph.
A separate screenshot from Masdiana's Instagram story posting yesterday also showed her children swimming in their private pool, with the caption: "Bila air takde" (when there is no water).
Netizens who commented on Masdiana's posting, in turn, shared their own photographs of queueing by the roadside to fill up water from public pipes or water tankers. When contacted, Air Selangor confirmed that it had sent a tanker to Amirudin's official residence.
"Yes, Air Selangor did send water to the MB's house," Air Selangor corporate communications chief Elina Baseri told Malaysiakini.
Quizzed whether it was standard practice for Air Selangor to deliver water directly to the menteri besar's house, Elina said: "We don’t just send to the MB’s house. We do our best to send and help all our customers.
"If you noticed in our press release, we even received help from other states because our tankers are not enough to accommodate 1.2 million accounts," she added.
When it was pointed out that the rakyat's unhappiness was due to the alleged double standard by Air Selangor, Elina declined comments and directed further questions to Amirudin's office.
An aide to Amirudin later told Malaysiakini that Masdiana had in a separate Instagram posting today apologised for her initial posts.
"I realise my error in uploading the initial photos that had given rise to various interpretations.
"In fact, there were people saying the tanker was sent to fill up the pool. That is absolutely not true," she said.
Meanwhile, Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh took to Twitter and hinted at alleged special treatments given to federal ministers.
"Houses of ministers in Bukit Damansara, I urge to consider requests from other residents there for water tankers.
"Let the tankers move according to the order of the roads there. Wait for your turn," said Yeoh in reference to the area which also covers Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's residence.
The Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants had to be closed down on Sept 3 after detecting pollutants in the water.
This is after pollutants were discharged into Sungai Gong that flows into Sungai Sembah which in turn feeds off Sungai Selangor.
Water will be restored in three phases, namely from Sept 5 to Sept 7 under phase 1, Sept 7 to Sept 8 under phase 2 and Sept 8 to Sept 9 under phase 3. - mk
 From immorality to hero:
Am I the only one baffled by PAS?...
It is insane to think that a politician can be termed a "hero" when he returns from an overseas jolly with his wife and plays Russian-roulette with other people's lives. That politician is nothing but a selfish and arrogant individual, who thinks that his position in government will protect him.
A hero is someone who dedicates his life to protecting others in an effort to make the world a better place. During this coronavirus pandemic, the true heroes are our frontliners - doctors, nurses, hospital cleaners, the armed forces and policemen.
It is easier to get blood out of a stone than a straight answer from a PAS politician. Do PAS MPs have a problem with reality, with reporters' probing questions, with the rule of law, with the ministerial code of conduct, or with upholding their responsibilities as lawmakers?
The ongoing political drama with Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Khairuddin Aman Razali (above), who refused to observe the self-quarantine rules on his return from Turkey, cannot be forgotten.
Instead of censuring him, many PAS politicians tripped over themselves, trying to justify their colleague's abuse of power. On Sept 1, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang skilfully dodged a reporter's question about Khairuddin's transgression, by talking about morals.
Hadi (above) is the last person who should lecture us on morals. He stuck the knife into Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's back when she was nominated by now-dissolved Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to be Selangor Menteri Besar.
Hadi denied having talks about forming a unity government with the felon, Najib Abdul Razak's Umno-Baru, whilst pretending that PAS was a loyal coalition partner in PR.
Last November, Hadi expressed his support for former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad but three months later, Hadi was safely installed as Muhyiddin Yassin's right-hand man after the Sheraton coup.
Khairuddin deliberately put the health and lives of others at risk. He did not act with any morality. Perhaps, PAS or Hadi's definition of morality is far removed from ours. If a DAP politician had failed to observe the quarantine rules, he and his party would have been crucified.
Hadi should come off his moral high ground and realise that anyone who breaks the law, is in breach of the moral code. He said: "If they commit a sin that is contrary with Islam and morals, we will fire them." Isn't breaking the law a sin? As a minister, Khairuddin's conduct reflected badly on PAS.
Politicians who think that politics and morals are mutually exclusive are dangerous people. Remember the former British prime minister, Tony Blair? As a committed and practising Christian, Blair would have believed in the sanctity of life, and yet, he took Britain to war against Iraq, based on a lie. Politics and morals cannot be treated as separate entities.
A few days ago, PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin (photo) made the bizarre claim that Khairuddin was a "hero". In addition, Hashim shifted the blame onto Health and Foreign ministries for their negligence.
Hashim's definition of a hero is not the same as ours. Someone who failed to self-quarantine, was economical with the truth and risked the health and lives of others, cannot be considered a "hero".
Last week, PAS' vice-president, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man's comparison of Khairuddin with lorry drivers and pilots was both demeaning and unfair. It also showed his lack of understanding of those who work for a living. Both professions are excluded from quarantine but must adhere strictly to the rules imposed on them for doing their jobs during the coronavirus pandemic.
The lorry drivers and pilots perform a vital role in keeping the economy and nation running, but if Khairuddin was missing from the government, it is doubtful if anyone would notice or feel his loss.
It is incredible that none of the senior PAS politicians showed good judgment and common sense. Instead of putting themselves in the shoes of the rakyat, they hemmed and hawed, and dug a deeper hole whilst trying to justify Khairuddin's crime. Nothing was mentioned about breaking the law, about the lack of professionalism or Khairuddin's lack of humility.
The Islam that was taught by my parents and elders, is similar to the version learnt by many of my Muslim relatives and friends. Those teachings do not gel with the version of Islam promoted by PAS.
Sendiri buat salah dok tunding jari kat orang lain.
Kepala hotak hang...
Khairuddin's actions cannot be made halal with terms like "morality" or "heroism". He was also economical with the truth. There is another way of seeing the Khairuddin fiasco.
It is not just the story of a minister who broke the law and thought that he could appease the crowd by paying a fine and making an apology. He was only forced to do these, because of the public outrage.
This is also the story of the silence of the majority of Muslims. The ones who are quietly furious with Khairuddin and PAS' lame excuses but dare not speak out.
Where is the public condemnation of the wannabe clerics masquerading as politicians, who have tarred the religion, and the reputation of the Malays? Where are the learned muftis to denounce Khairuddin's wrongdoing?
For years, PAS claimed they were protectors of Islam and defenders of the Malays. Khairuddin has proven them wrong. - Mariam Mokhtat,mk

It's easy to talk but you won't know the struggle until first, you are actually married, and second, you are actually in polygyny. I never had an issue with being in poly before I got married, but then when I entered it, I discovered how innately jealous I am over my husband, which has caused me a lot of problems because people like you "expect" me to just live as one family unit with my cowife and be all happy with it. I literally can't. Please don't talk about a struggle you don't understand.
“I also would share that they all live in the same house, each with their own portion of their own. I share that because this shows you just how much fostering a sense of family, not competition, can change everything with the help of Allah” This is way too idealistic and the exact reason why I suffered so many issues in my marriage. Putting two wives in the same house is not wise. I really ask that you stop speaking without experience on a woman’s part bc it’s almost like you’re mocking the pain
Assalaamu Alaykum Im going to do my best to make this very clear without sounding mean or unnecessarily harsh. I ask Allah to ease your affairs in this life and the hereafter.
So what is clear to me is that you have not truly read what I have said. You skimmed, inferred your own understanding, are turning this into some attack on you or women personally. Proof is your last statement “People like YOU”. May Allah grant you success, who am I? I cannot legislate nor can I prohibit ANYTHING. I did no such thing to you personally, but due to your own personal struggles you’ve made it about yourself and have taken what I have said personally. I’m not sure how many times I’ve said and shared the statements of the scholars where they have spoken about the right of the woman to stipulate NO POLYGYNY in her marriage contracts. Despite this, they did say it best to be patient, so now are you going to say the scholars are ‘mocking womens’ pain’? Of course not because the intention is not to mock. It isn’t to belittle. It’s to say, as I have said several times, just because something is difficult doesn’t mean you sweep it under the rug and pretend it isn’t there.
You don’t want your husband to marry another woman? khalas, put it in your marriage contract and it is binding on him to accept it, so who has attacked you or ‘expected’ anything out of you? I don’t know you, and your personal trials are your own. I said for me, and what I expect for myself and how I would want my family raised and why it is a condition for me. If that insults you then the problem is not me. I was asked a question and answered specifically to that question. That is all please do not put your own personal spin on what I have said because the subject matter upsets you. I ask Allah to ease your affairs.
As for making it “too idealistic”, alhamdulilah tell that to our brother, a convert-no less-from a America and his wives they’re “too idealistic” because as I mentioned, which you seemingly have missed or misunderstood, the fact that these are NOT some born Muslims from a Muslim land but converts who fostered this kind of love is due to the help of Allah. You even skipped where I said it WASN’T easy! May Allah make you upright! I never held the belief or have said that marriage itself was easy, as a matter of fact anyone who has followed me for some time knows I have said how important it is for a man to prepare himself for such a big responsibility. It’s why I do not and will not marry until my memorization of Quran this year is complete which I did not intend to share but as you have insinuated some wrong doing on my part(which I will assume in unintentional, May Allah bless you) I feel the need to defend myself from such evil thoughts.
As for the living in one home, fear Allah regarding your statement for it was the opinion of some of the scholars that if a man has a large enough house(our brother does walhamdulilah) he may place them all in one house so long as they have what is needed and there is sufficient room for them. Shaykh Ubayd addressed this in his Q&A session on polygyny, however I agree with the scholars who say it is better to give them separate homes. I cannot stress enough, as I continue to do, that I am no way making light of the situation but due to your responses it is clear to me your are projecting your own issues onto what I said when all of this goes back to a personal post I made.
Regardless, I ask Allah to grant you tranquility of the heart and that he grants you beneficial knowledge and makes easy for you righteous actions. May Allah have mercy on you and the Muslims everywhere.

August 14, 2016
When we left high school I was lost, and I didnt have any hop of meeting friends. I didnt want to get close to anyone because I was too mad at you for not being there. Little did I know that you were looking out for me by keeping your distance. Although I felt as if I deserved to know, I still carried on. So much, that I even Tattooed “Dont ever change” because you told me not too. And I did change. I became something I wasnt. Ask everyone at JJAY, they always knew something was off about me. It was the fact that I didnt have you. And they all noticed that when you came, you were all I needed and the empty void was filled. You talk about that picture, it wasnt even about the picture. It was the fact that for once I felt like you were pulling away from me because of Riyad, and I still do. One day you guys will get close because that’s how you are. You tend to care. I hated seeing that you kept trying to make sure he ate and all of that because it took years for us to get to that level and it took him less than a month. So when I got shut down I felt shut out. Like you have no clue what it means to me that I even get to experience it. You send these vibes that cause all my muscles to contract, and slowly release into a peace I cant get anywhere else.
You talk about suicide, and believe me I know we all have our moments. But after what I told you? You feel guilty bringing it up? Yes I love her. But cant you see how much I need you. Suicide has been on my mind for years, everytime I drink. I want to hit things to make sure I can feel. You feel worthless? You have parents and a family who care. I do to, but not like that. Imagine all of this, Farishta, my ten year secret, everything Ive done, school, friends, my bros, videogames, work, and the gym. Do you know what kind of burden that puts on you? No, but thats not my point. My point is, that regardless of how heavy the burden may get, you keep me in check. I do it for you. I keep going because thats what you would want. And im sad because I cant do the same for you. May allah take your life today? I look up, and say “ see you soon” to Vinny, my grandfather, and even Farishta.
You have no idea what you mean to me. The pain? I dont care if it never subsides. Aslong as I have you. So I’m fucking sorry im acting like this.. because I feel like.. im losing you.
—————————
Alvin you don’t understand how much I get this. I feel just the way you feel. But you’re not understanding what our conversation was about. You bringing up high school and college is what we’ve built on. This is something what we’ve been through. Your tattoo and everything you mentioned is the base of our relationship. What you’re telling me is something I’ve been appreciated and still do. And I understand where you’re coming from. I feel like you’re making me feel so bad by mentioning our past. Our past is beautiful and we’ve built from it and what you’ve done for me is what I’ve built on. For you to bring this up right now though during our argument has no correlation. You’re brining up our past and then brining up Riyad the next second. You mentioned how easy it was for Riyad and I to get close in a month. One month with me is nothing. Four to five years with you means everything. We’ve literally attached our lives together. That’s where our effort is. That’s what will always bring me back to you. Riyad and I have nothing, and I haven’t even spoken to him all day and it’s funny because I actually forgot until I went though my messages. Its not about one month. It’s about the history and depth that we have that I will never have with Riyad.
I guess I should’ve spoken to you about it. I wish I would’ve seen that but just understand that I saw it in a different point of view. You got the idea that I shut you down but I wish you can see the amount of respect I was giving to Raveena and you breaking the promise. Now that I know it’s okay to bring it up I will do so. Each time we go through something like these we learn from each other and where our comfort zones are. We’re still learning from each other and you’re teaching me how to get to you in better ways and that’s what I want. It put me in such a position where you broke a promise and here is a girl who went though something a human should never have to go through. I was in such a position I didn’t know if I should bring it up. But now I know that I can. We hadn’t gone through a specific situation where it’s our significant other involved. And trust me you don’t need feel shut downed because I have literally had this in the back of my mind since you told me.
And honestly the only reason why I keep going and I’m strong each day is because I know at the end of day I want to spend it by speaking to you and not ever missing another moment of ours together. That’s what I hold onto. So don’t be sad that you can’t do the same for me when in fact you are. And that’s the honest truth. And for the record. You’re not loosing me. You never will. Even when I die. I’ll be haunting you.
———————— On the phone:
I’m jealous. You know that. Didn’t know what to do. Jealousy caused me to be funny with everyone. Bothered me. Brushing it off. Tried to. It’s not that serious told myself to relax. I can’t lie. It bothers me. I can’t find a way around it. Something I have to deal with on my own. Can’t say anything to change how I feel. I don’t get it. So I don’t except me to get it. Idk makes me feel like you want to talk him. I’m not gonna lie. This is going to put a wedge between us until I figure it out. It wasn’t about the picture. That’s the way my mind was working. Convincing myself to be different. Kept being disappointing. You’re everything I’ve always want. Hard to admit. But it’s true. It’s me. I don’t think anyone else had an impact the kind you have on me. It’s so foreign. I get what you have to say. The message you’re conveying I get. Idk what else you can say to change what I feel. I can’t do much else. Who I’m with you is someone you wouldn’t want. When I was distant there was way more. What happened when you become uninteresting. I can’t say that you can say that to me and mean it. I was mad at myself. Can’t change how I feel.
The whole thing with raveena. I don’t want to talk about it. I learned today about a person in a position of power can only understand his life if he looks at two directions at once. Past and presence and future. I get it. I told you that stuff in confidence. The reason I drank is not only you. It was everything else. No one saved me. Not even you. I was gone.
Suicide. At a point you don’t know what it’s like and know that they did that because they felt unloved. You’re not unloved you know that. I’ll give you a 110 and all if you needed it. I’ll give you all. I really don’t know. I decided this Riyad thing distant thing if it puts a wedge between us I can’t do anything about. What’s done is done. I’m exhausted. Don’t have time to be mad. Don’t have time to think about this problem I’ll think she lied she’ll keep me from being hurt don’t keep things from me. I don’t want you here if you’ll keep things from me. I just don’t. That’s not how I work. I give you 110 all the time. I only did it with you. I kept my distant from all these people because only one gained my trust.
You’re not some hoe. I genuinely love you. There’s a feeling when I think of you I can’t explain. It was a test for the picture. I wanted you at the same time. When I look at you I close my eyes or where ever I am I think of us I get goosebumps. Feelings that make my muscles contract cause it consumes and I’ve never felt it with anyone else but you. I gave up once I felt like you were pulling away. If I feel like this insecure worrying about texting Riyad or not I guess it’s worth it if I have you right that’s all I gotta say for myself. Not much you can say because it won’t change anything.

As a kid, I was obsessed by the continent of Africa and remember well the television mini-series Roots, based upon the book by Alex Haley.  A quick look on wikipedia shows that in the spring of 1977, my family would have gathered on Sunday evenings to watch the latest instalment of the drama where Haley traces his family history back more than 200 years to captured slave Kunta Kinteh.
After all this time in these parts, I’d not yet made the “Roots tour,” a classic excursion offered by all the tour operators in the Gambia. My parents also remembered us watching Roots and had recently seen the 2016 revamped version, so we decided to make the trip ourselves and not really wishing to spend £200+ for all of us to go on one of the tours, we did it ourselves which turned out to be a great adventure – with some typically “accidental African” moments, although of course the slave history of the tour put our minor inconveniences into perspective.
My friend Allah showed up in his battered taxi and puttered up the highway at about 25 mph, seemingly afraid it would fall to pieces if he went any faster. In the event, it seems he was right. By the time we reached Tanji something was making odd noises, there was a “crack” and I felt something bang against the undercarriage beneath my feet. Allah conceded defeat and sold us onto another taxi who took us up to Banjul without problem.
Banjul to Barra is a 45 minute or so crossing where river meets sea.
We hopped aboard the Barra ferry – I considered the pirogues momentarily and Dad seemed game, but I couldn’t quite imagine my mother being carried aboard up on some blokes shoulders.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Descending into the chaos on the north bank, we were offered many taxis, so chose one and followed the driver through a maze of market alleys into a congested garage filled with geli-geli’s and taxis, probably not one of which would be roadworthy anywhere in Europe.
After negotiations, we set off, first along a paved road, before turning south onto a dirt road that winds its way 30 km or so to Juffureh and Albreda, the “Roots villages” that merge together. We bumped our way along the potholed dirt road, through shimmering salt pans, bleached out tropical landscapes and through dusty villages of cement and corrugate houses full of kids screaming “toubab.” The air blew through the taxi like a hot hair dryer.
Aside from a large monument, the village looked much like any other in the country.
There was certainly no sign of any wealth generated over the years by Roots tourism.  The book, Roots, spent 22 weeks at the top of the New York Times best seller list and earned it’s author the Pulitzer prize. The tv series was nominated for 37 Emmy awards and attracted 130 million viewers in the US alone. The villages are visited by a high percentage of tourists to the country and almost all Americans with African ancestry.
It later transpired that Haley had mixed fact with fiction in the book, plagiarised some sections and fabricated the links between himself and Kunta Kinteh. But, as the original author of the Gambia Bradt guide, Philip Briggs states: “there is no denying the deep symbolic truth underlying the Roots saga, nor the horrific trade in human lives that formed its inspiration.
After downing some water and a snack, we jumped aboard a pirogue and traveled 3km to Kunta Kinteh (formally James) Island, the site of a fort built by Latvians and then run by the British who fought off various  takeover bids by the French and some Welsh pirates.
The island, suffering from sea erosion, is almost entirely covered by the fort, the ruins of which appear to be held together by the bulbous roots of the many baobab trees.
A guide recounted the history, explaining a tiny airless room that was sweltering, would hold up to 140 slaves who’d be fed through a tiny window, leading to fights over the rations.
The fort was the main staging post in the region for captured slaves who were transported here and then on to Goree near Dakar before going to the New World. Those deemed to weak were simply tossed in the river.
Upon return to mainland, we visited the small museum and then the others sat under the bantaba whilst I went to the house of the Kinteh family with a local guide.
The museum
We passed several compounds and wound along the sandy alleys before reaching the Kinteh one – no different to the rest. The next bit perplexed me somewhat. I’d read numerous accounts of the tourist trap this place has become – everyone claiming to be a descendant of Kunta Kinteh, demanding money and so on but I got none of that. The Kinteh family seemed surprised to see me and bewildered as to why I was there – perhaps they’re only used to large tourist groups. One of the younger women suggested I take her away and marry her which I hadn’t expected. Was I in the right place? Seemingly yes – there were some laminated newspaper articles dotted around. Eventually I got the information I needed for the guidebook and then left them to get on with their day, feeling a bit of an intruder.
I also had to gather some information about some of the guesthouses. One of them was rather odd – the manager seemed very suspicious when I asked the room price and demanded to see his entry in the first edition. As I showed him, I read over his shoulder and noticed it mentioned the paranoid management style  and how the menu wasn’t available to guidebook writers for security reasons. Oops, this might not help me get the info I needed… but the guy seemed happy with the entry and then told me everything I needed to kno – except for what’s on the menu. But then I doubt it differs from the hundreds of other similar places around the country.
It would have been nice at this point to get on a boat and sail back to Banjul. Instead we had an hour or two of bumping back the way we had come and then another ferry crossing. If that had been the case, life would be easy. Halfway back there was a banging sound and we lurched to a stop. This had happened:
No problem – we could just tie it back on!
But no, we weren’t going to get back in this car and the driver called his friend to come and pick us up.
That meant an hour or so’s wait – the local kids came out and these two little baobabs stayed cheerful:
We finally got back to Barra as the sun was setting and to our next hotel, Radio Syd, quite late that evening. I later discovered my wallet, complete with five credit cards, but thankfully little money, had been pick pocketed from a zipped hidden pocket. Just when I thought I was streetwise to Africa.

Radio Syd was an unusual but friendly little place on a wide open beach just outside of Banjul city. It had started life as a pirate radio station run by a Swedish couple who were still there and had cooked dinner for us. When the radio mast had collapsed, they decided to close the radio, given there was now plenty of Gambian stations, and turned it into the guesthouse. The lady, Connie, now in her seventies, showed us picture of her with a young Mick Jagger and then told tales of life in Banjul in the early seventies. She was personal friends with Jawara, the first president, with Bertil Harding (the guy who’d introduced tourism to the Gambia and after whom one of the highways is named) and Alex Haley who’d openly told her that he’d made half of Roots up.

What are the evidences of our prophet´s (PBUH) prophethood?
a- News About His Coming In the Previous Divine Books
Only Allah can now ghaib (the unknown, the unseen). The Quran attracts attention to this truth in its many verses. In this respect, our Prophet would not have known about the future events as he was a human being but he knew about the future to the extent that Allah told him. The issue is expressed in a verse as follows;

THE FEMALE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET (PBUH)  : Fatima bint Asad (r.anha)
Who does not want to do favors and help people when it is possible? If the poor person is an oppressed person who needs to be taken care of, we can forget about even our own needs and fulfill that person's wishes.
However, what made her happier was the fact that she became the mother-in-law of the Prophet's beloved daughter, Fatima, whom he described as "a part of me". She regarded it a great honor. She did her best so as not to distress Hz. Fatima. They shared the tasks at home. They did their tasks in the best way and helped each other. They set an example about how a daughter-in-law and a mother-in-law should treat each other. Their getting on very well rejoiced both the Messenger of Allah and Hz. Ali.
The Prophet showed her gratitude and duty of loyalty to Fatima bint Asad whenever it was possible.
He frequently visited her, asked about her health and helped her. He did more than what a son would to his mother. He addressed her "mum" and mentioned her by saying "mum".
This attitude of the Prophet's represented his closeness to her. It was also a compliment to her. For, the grave that the Prophet's body touched would be a garden of Paradise.
I lay down in her grave for a while so that life in grave will be easy for her."
After the soil was thrown on the dead body of Hz. Fatima, the Messenger of Allah prayed as follows for his beloved mother:
"O Mum!
O Allah!  Forgive my mother, Fatima bint Asad and widen her grave! O Allah!
