I can talk about this a little (but some of it I can't because it's relevant to Things Happening Now in RP). So, I'll try to dodge spoilers, and I'll explain what I can. (And thank you for giving me the opportunity to shout about this, because I've been thinking about these two - and their AU counterparts - for a long time!)

So. The first thing you need to know about the state of the universe in the IB AU, is that while some things are the same, others are decidedly not.

Human and Lenian hostilities still exist, of course, but they're not quite as widespread as they are in IB (because in this universe, Aoide - Samiel's mother - is still alive, and she and Athannus are working hard to thwart Deneira where they can). What that means is that the Interior Circle is not focused quite so much on the Lenian/Human conflict, and has some energy to spare for worrying about what's happening on their borders, in the Exterior Circle.

Which means Aubrey is pushed into doing some things a lot sooner, and in some ways he has to become more ruthless a lot more quickly, in order to solve some problems (one of which is Ataiy).

I will say at this point: Samiel on the throne of Lenia is bad news for Alskir. Samiel is not Deneira. He is not interested in double-dealing, and he very rapidly acquires a consort who is frustratingly politically savvy. He also sets about acquiring an empire, and while we see pieces of this from Jay's point of view (and it's very much not considered a bad thing), for Alskir it really is bad news. Samiel (and Lenia) is backed up by an Interior Circle that is not going to argue with him, because he's also doing very useful things for them: i.e., subduing threats to the IC in the Exterior Circle. Aubrey and Alskir, on the other hand, do not have any allies.

And so Aubrey being Aubrey, he sends someone to try and find out what's happening within the Lenia court. And Lysander being Lysander, he is actually having the time of his life trying to mess with Samiel and Jay's heads.

After all, everyone knows Lysander Kyrios is chafing under the hand of his Archaeus, right? He absolutely, definitely is being sent to these 'peace' talks as a form of punishment, and not because Aubrey trusts him. Absolutely not. (In other words, it is very useful for Samiel and Jay to have a specific impression of Lysander, Aubrey and Alskir, and this is Aubrey's opening move in a long game. It's also a useful starting point for trying to sow discord on Lenia, and for Lysander to observe what's happening with Samiel and Jay personally, and if there are any weaknesses there to exploit.)

In short: Lysander is behaving himself impeccably in the IB AU, and doing precisely what he needs to. Aubrey is currently gathering intelligence, and is about to start a campaign on two fronts to ensure that Alskir (and Ataiy) walk away from Samiel's expansion plans as free planets.

(And I have a lot of thoughts on this that I can't yet share, lovely anon, because of spoilers. I'm so sorry!)

Based on my current Tav, as an aasimar cleric in storyline (but half-elf in the game system), there are spells that can summon a cambion, so I wove their stories together.

I have the opportunity to play him in another round in BG3 or DnD, I may find a coat that matches him.

My Tav has a contract with him, not selling his soul but in exchange for his future power after defeating the elder brain (I'm playing him in Act 3 as a natural evil way) so he can summon Victor to help in the fight.

He also has another summon (Sebastiano), and I may draw and write about them in this AU later.

He and my tav, I didn't fix his position with others, but when he with my baby girl tav, he is top 😂

𝓞𝓞𝓒; I'm not all that familiar with how Tumblr RP (or Tumblr in general) works. bear with me and my inactivity/lack of setting up so far. I gotta make a pin and layout if I get time.

For now, the basics of this portrayal is my Jason being based/more influenced on his post crisis/pre new-52 iteration. A blend of Winick and Morrison’s portrayal. Painting him as an antagonist and villain to Bruce whom is a crime lord.

Motivations of wanting to control crime as a way to limit it's effects are the same. His association to the Batfamily are nonexistent after the events of Under the Red Hood.

He is not in any way friendly or on good terms with anyone batfamily related. When it comes to potential team-ups, Jason has been shown to be willing to align himself with other villains to advance his goals.

as a result, he will open to the idea of doing temporary alliances with other super-villains if they be of benefits to his operations and agendas. Jason will often use vast knowledge of Bruce and Bruce's love for him to his advantage to advance his goals. He knows Bruce loves him like a son, and he'll weaponize it.

Jason will often exploit his knowledge of whomever he targets as opposed to running in head-first, no plan. In the event that he's slated to target someone he doesn't know, he'll use his vast resources and detective skills to research that individual. For even the most minuscule of details could be better than simply running in like a headless chicken.

Just like his post crisis self, Jason will be portrayed as more of a tactical trickster. One that relies on his vast knowledge of Gotham, gadgets, his kris dagger, fear-mongering through death, and other things like his resources, skills to see his way. He will be cunning as opposed to his current iterations than are either portrayed as being generic brutes or relying on his guns to fix situations as opposed to his brains and resources.

When it comes to Jason's identity, i’d imagine his secret identity and history as a robin would remain a mystery to most. The exceptions being the heroes and some rogues (like Joker or potentially Black Mask since Roman did suspect that Jason and Bruce were once friends in the UTRH comic)

At the turn of the 25th Century, Starfleet was forced to change.

The outing of the head of Starfleet Security as being a Romulan double agent, and the expulsion of multiple high-ranking officials who were either complicit, ignorant, or exploiting this for their own goals were forced out by the Federation Council. The last 20 years of escalating militarization and isolationism have been called into question- warships are being refit for scientific surveys, and old ships are being pulled out of mothballs for brand new refits. The atmosphere in the Federation, which one might have assumed to be fear and anger and mistrust, quickly made way for a hope for the future not felt for almost half a century.

The U.S.S. Solkar, as both thanks and punishment for their involvement in all this, has been given an assignment far from the core of Federation space while Starfleet completely reorganizes itself.

34 years ago, the Husnock Imperium went completely silent. The Federation had never made formal contact with the Imperium, as they were beyond the borders of Federation space, with only vague whispers about attacks on colony worlds ever making it back. The U.S.S. Enterprise-D, answering a distress call from that colony, learned the horrible truth- there was only one survivor, an immortal and all-powerful being known as a Douwd. In one split-second of rage at the loss of his human wife, he lashed out on an unimaginable scale.

With the sudden destruction of every single living being within the Husnock Imperium, the Federation feared that a mad scramble for the vast amount of unclaimed resources could easily start a war. Acting quickly, the Federation called upon the other two governments bordering Husnock space, the Cardassian Union and the Tzenkethi Coalition, and drafted a treaty in record time.

Any unauthorized appropriation of Husnock technology was determined tantamount to grave robbery, and no government could lay claim to the space. For a ship to even enter Husnock territory, it would need to be matched with an even number of vessels from the other parties.

The U.S.S. Solkar has been approved to enter Husnock space for the first time since the treaty was drafted, accompanied by one scout ship from the Cardassians and Tzekethi each. The Solkar, fresh from its refit, is looking for new blood to take this ship in a new direction.

FAQ

What is the live sim/rp format and how does it work?

“Simulations” are a term in the Star Trek fandom running back over 25 years, roleplays where groups of original characters took on adventures in the Trek setting. In the 90′s, sims were played over e-mail or in AOL chatrooms; since, better tools and systems have emerged to give players better and more involved experiences. Live sims, in particular, are a version of this format where the group gets together once a week to roleplay the plot at the same time, much in the same way a game of D&D or other tabletop games would be played. However, players can still write for the story outside of the weekly sim in personal logs by themselves and with other players.

Are there any requirements to join?

The only requirement to join is the age minimum of 16. Before you can join an actual session, though, you’ll need to create an original Starfleet character that you can use. New players start as ensigns, with their characters earning promotions as the player attends more sessions and writes more personal logs.

What counts as canon for this sim? What year is it?

The sim currently takes place in 2400, the same timeframe as Star Trek: Picard, and treats the events of that show (and all the other shows) as canon (mostly).

Yiuno’s lore contains very dark and mature themes, and these are crucial in his characterization and development as a person. On the same note, I’m not keen to work with adults who are sensitive to various triggers, to err on the side of safety. I’m a very busy person, and my empathy for others is fairly limited after a long and stressful work day.

NO IN-GAME RP.

I have a demanding full-time job and I live in the JST (GMT+9) timezone. Aside from schedule restrictions, I mainly play on Japan DCs due to latency issues. It’s difficult for me to arrange in-game meetups, and I’m too busy with real life to manage alts on other data centers. I’m also uncomfortable with many aspects of in-game roleplaying, which I find them too stressful and not fun to deal with.

NOVEL-STYLE WRITING.

Google Docs is most preferred. Also open to other long-form writing platforms suggestions and I’m happy to give them a try. That being said…

I don’t expect my partners to be a bookworm as much as I am, but please have the basic courtesy to provide enough content in your IC replies to keep the story moving. Neither Yiuno nor I can read minds; metagaming is frowned upon in roleplays, and I’m sure we both want the collaboration to be a fun and fruitful experience.

SHARLAYAN.

Krile Baldesion. One of Yiuno’s regular clients, who often calls upon his expertise as a treasure hunter and curse breaker both, to handle jobs deem too dangerous for any gleaners to tackle. In exchange for his assistance, Yiuno exploits Krile’s position as an esteemed Sharlayan scholar to gain access to the Noumenon, where he can conduct his own research for the information he seeks. The question is: what is he looking for amongst the dusty, ancient grimoires of forgotten past?

ARCANE HUNTER.

Yayake Yake. Though a dutiful receptionist who works at the Thaumaturges’ Guild, this seemingly polite Dunesfolk has a sharp sense for those with great potential for arcane arts. She has tried and failed to recruit Yiuno to join the guild on countless occasions, with only requests in reclaiming artifacts of the black to seduce the unwilling man back to Ul’dah each time. While this seems like an inconspicuous relationship, there is definitely more than meets the eye. Why does Yayake single out Yiuno from amongst the promising candidates of black magic? Why does she have such high regards for his talent and skill? What else does she know about this brooding Viera—and what is she hiding about him?

ANCIENT CITIES.

Remnants of the Great Flood. Though Yiuno would often introduce himself as a mere treasure hunter when prompted on his martial prowess, if one is observant enough to pick up the signs, they would notice that some things just don’t add up. Majority of Yiuno’s regular clients have affiliations with guilds of the arcane arts. He’s usually tasked to find and reclaim ancient artifacts from fallen civilizations known for their knowledge in magic. He has a curious familiarity with the three factions in the Magi War: the Floating City of Nym, the Weeping City of Mhach, and the Lost City of Amdapor. Just what kind of connections did Yiuno have with the Sixth Umbral Calamity?

DUALITY.

An enigma of many faces. Many adventurers would’ve dipped a toe or two into the Eozean underworld during their long journeys; those enticed by the promise to fulfill their desires would exchange their virtues for riches, sinking themselves into the violent hellscape beneath the façade of peace and prosperity. Toxic masculinity ruled this chaotic world with brute strength, while they exploit femininity to charge their own libido. However, not all women are willing to bow down to such prejudiced savagery—Yiune Rei is an assassin who seduces her male targets with her beauty before she seals their fate in the silence of the night (or so the rumors say). Very few would live to learn about the shocking truth of this graceful lady of death… for “she” is actually a man under the glamorous mask. What compels him to exact his own brand of justice in such an unorthodox way? Is there more to this curious killing spree under the bleeding moon of Etheirys?

Deep down, Yiuno knows that he doesn’t belong anywhere: his immortality forces him to constantly move from town to town, keeping a low profile lest someone finds out the secrets to his eternal youth.

Though he’s no stranger to one-night stands due to the nature of his job, Yiuno’s a demiromantic asexual in the RP verse—mere physical pleasures with randoms aren’t enough to win him over, and instead more than likely to send you into Death’s sweet embrace.

♻️A scrapped idea for your current WIP

From the Hemispheres series - Not sure how much of this is a scrapped idea or just what I'm still struggling with, but given how much of canon this series utilizes (and also changes), I haven't decided what I'm doing about Ultron yet or if that's just going to not even be a thing. It'll determine how much of the Wanda storyline will get used or how much of it will be used to exploit things I wanted to see with her and how they deal with her, and that's still just super up in the air, which is fine because I haven't even reached the Bucky aspects of that story yet.

🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

For the Is this a Dagger? series, I really can't wait to tackle the Bucky/Loki 50 States road trip part of the story. I'm looking forward to describing the good food they eat in each state followed by the worst food they eat in each state. It'll be almost like a season of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives but with Bucky and Loki making out in between all the food discoveries and potential bad guy conflicts they end up dealing with along the way.

🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now?

Right now, I'm just struggling with the brain goblins who are tired from all the Yule 2023 fics I wrote and posted in a month-ish time. Everything feels like a struggle just to get words on the page at the moment. Actual WIPs, though, well, in Wantons Part 3, I know that I'll be dealing with some heavy themes (as attested to by the tags I mentioned up there), and I think since I usually don't write fics with those (outside of rp writing), I'm feeling hesitant over how I want to write it. I know what I'm doing with it essentially and the aftermath of it, and ultimately because the perpetrator of those tags is a character I hate with a fiery passion, so it's going to be cathartic as fuck when they finally deal with her, and then that character really won't have a place again in that story. It's just the lead-up to it and making it work in enough of a punch to the gut kinda way that's just out of reach.

Also final bit, because of the nature of the story she stopped aging because she got involved in the story and became a Defender (a term I will use more often). So the story at the time spanned over 600 years I think? And she never aged past 14.

50. Do they have original characters of their own?

yes, actually!! in a few different ways... before meeting rhys, bowyn's main source of income is con jobs. they have a looot of fun planning out their cons and they like to have entire storylines and put a lot of thought into their roles (heavy inspiration from the character stephen in 'the brothers bloom,' btw), so i would say the roles they dream up for their cons count as ocs. they don't go as far as method acting for these stunts, but they do take it pretty seriously, and they end up caring about the 'narrative' of the con landing as much as they do about the money.

once they meet rhys, bowyn ends up... kind-of-sort-of "going straight"...? not for moral reasons but bc they have, uh, A LOT of debt and they've made a lot of enemies and they're sick of having to dodge around and avoid certain parts of tyria etc etc... when they were alone it wasn't an issue, but now they want to be able to travel around with rhys without worrying about it. so they start trying to kind of clean up their act and get their shit in order, and they pivot back towards regular acting and eventually towards writing plays of their own! a lot of their work is romanticized political stuff focused on sylvari history + current events, but they gleefully bastardize everything so much that frankly everyone whose image they're exploiting might as well be their ocs. typing this out is making me realize that i think bowyn and snargle goldclaw and probably besties

42. If they have siblings, do they like any of them? Would they rather be an only child?

glyndwr has a sister -- farmer, my friend finn's commander! they weren't born at a similar time or anything, it's one of those sylvari chosen-family bonds that developed naturally over the course of their friendship.

glyn is actually startlingly warm with her (though in this case "warm" means "not actively unpleasant." but still, startling) and people who watch them interact are usually pretty taken aback by it. farmer can do stuff that would get anyone else's head bitten off, and glyn will mostly shrug it off without complaint. she's also the main reason glyn and caithe have kind of come to an unsteady, chilly truce -- they both tolerate each other for farmer's sake.

he loves her a lot. she unlocks a really soft, tender spot in him that most other people don't have access to -- i think farmer gets to see a part of glyn that even his other closest and most loved people, like merrit and alan and canach, never see.

(one more farmer fun fact: she regularly brings glyn random rocks and leaves and sticks as gifts. glyndwr pretends that he throws these things away but in reality a hidden triple-locked drawer of his desk has carefully organized albums/boxes where he keeps every single one of them.)

43. What do they think is their worst quality? What is their actual worst quality?

if you ASKED him, glyn would snap at you for even daring to HAVE a question like that. obviously he is impenetrable. there are no weaknesses. there are no flaws. who the hell do you think you ARE, to even BROACH the SUGGESTION of criticism like that. glyndwr thinks that if you want to have the right to imply there is anything wrong with him you should have to be able to kill him. and good luck with that.

as for what he actually thinks... i don't know that glyn actually lets himself dwell on the idea that he has a "worst quality" so much as, like, he's never ever convinced anything about himself is enough. as confident and self-assured as he is, he's also constantly dissatisfied with where he's at, and his mind is always darting to the next thing he can do to "improve" (which usually has nothing to do with actually becoming a better or happier person and is more about being More Lethal and Efficient.) he doesn't ever SAY he dislikes anything about himself, but he also never sees fit to actually celebrate anything about himself, either, other than swinging his weight around for the sake of asserting his authority over other people.

and, of course -- his actual worst quality is his ego/pride. it's the source of all his other distinct flaws and is the number one thing that prevents him from being honest with himself and with others, and the thing that most often gets in the way of him making the right choices.

39. Can they drive? What vehicles are they licensed to operate?

as in actual vehicles? noooooo. i think merrit could figure a vehicle (like a charr tank or a skiff or whatever) in a pinch, but he'd hate every second of it and potentially psych himself out bad enough to make a mistake. lorelei would be an absolute disaster no matter what (and would bring none of merrit's well-earned caution along with them.)

HOWEVER, the two of them are very proficient with mounts!! merrit particularly has a way with raptors and is really quick on them -- he often is the one sent out when urgent messages too sensitive for pigeons/communicators need to cover a lot of ground. lorelei just loves all mounts in a standard ranger-animal-companion way. together the two of them spend a Lot of time frolicking around on their mounts, including racing each other!

10. How do they decorate their living space?

alan is all about comfort and opulence. gentle lighting, nice smells, soft seating, gauzy dreamy decorations like sheer drapery and shimmery fabrics. he's dabbled in shaping, and while he's not particularly fast, he can eventually coax together a pretty lovely little space from surrounding plantlife wherever he goes, and if he settles somewhere for long enough he'll eventually end up embellishing it with flowers and vines. (for example, his quarters in the vigil keep started out pretty basic, but over time he's built out an entire homegrown balcony/terrace.) he loves entertaining and showing hospitality to others, and he'll usually always have a few lush fruit plates/platters of cheese and nuts/pitchers of wine laying around at the ready. there's always a vague sense of "how did you know i liked [insert specific refreshment]/how did you have all this ready so quickly???" in a way that is flattering but also... maybe a little weird?

clooney had a pretty close call, from combined issues of Lacerations and Blood Loss + Nearly Drowned + All The Gore (Even If Plant Gore) In The Water While You Nearly Drowned Attracted A Bunch Of Sharks, while trying to have insane tipsy sex with a largos. he learned absolutely nothing from this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat, though luckily another opportunity has not presented itself

callas would looooove the sims. but what i mean by that is callas would love to stick sims in the pool and then delete the ladder, and to set sims on fire, and to build sims into little windowless boxes and watch them go crazy and starve to death, etc etc. also all of these sims would be modeled after people who have mildly annoyed her in real life but i figured that was probably implied

a lot of people seem to have the attitude "he should've just let them had what they wanted!" when it comes to technoblade and dream both going against l'manberg, and absolutely no offense, but that seems... so awfully naive to me?

it looks like people automatically assume "what they wanted" was good, and that everything would've been fine if it wasn't for techno and dream being in the way. so let's look at what the leaders they fought against actually wanted, shall we?

let's start at the beginning, then.

wilbur (all names in this essay refer to the characters) made l'manberg after he failed to take control of the economy by making a capitalist empire based on lies, rumors and theft.

we're starting off strong, i see.

he referred to tommy as someone to mould or build upon multiple times, saying he is naive and calling it a good thing, even mentioning people like tubbo or fundy as the "a lot of tommyinnits" he could use take advantage of for his plans. these were people who were the most useful in terms of being hardworking and passionate, and arguably the most easily manipulated.

...cool. this still doesn't tell us what he wanted to do with l'manberg, but it gives us a sense of this guy's moral compass and honesty.

wilbur, to his soldiers at least, says that he made l'manberg for freedom and protection. ...freedom to steal from people? protection from... everyone except the guy who wants to exploit them?

yeah no, i'm not trusting anything he says.

let's turn to what wilbur said out of character about the motives with which wilbur the character created l'manberg.

"you could create something that you believe is worth having power over, and because you want to have power over it, everyone else will believe it's important, even though it's not." [ link ]

...alright, well that sorts out that question i suppose.

wilbur after his revival says that l'manberg was a "useful tool" that did what it was supposed to do; it divided. since naturally i'm not going to take his words at face value if it would kill me, let's turn back to what wilbur was actually saying and doing back when he made l'manberg, because maybe his memory has just faded, right?

*rewatching the vod* is he. is he quoting tr*mp's speech about building a wall and "making the mexicans pay for it" while being openly xenophobic towards the people who originally lived in the lands and building a giant wall?

ooo boy. cc!wilbur knew what he was doing, wasn't he?

see, if you rewatch the vods and look at them as satire on american propaganda (including the hamilton references) everything starts to fall into place.

but hey, l'manberg changed, right? it grew into something more than that initial quest for glory... right? i mean, the l'manberg government wasn't even corrupt up until schlatt's reign, right?

*laughs* no.

let's fast-forward.

l'manberg... hadn't done much after the revolution. it was just a safe space, but not really. people are living just as they did before, and neither wilbur nor l'manberg really changed much.

wilbur doesn't like that, and that is clear from what happens next.

Wilbur: “Tommy, we need power.”

Tommy: “Yeah?”

Wilbur: “I’ve tried – I spoke to Fundy and Tubbo yesterday, I told them how I didn’t like the civil war they were having, you know the fights that were going on.”

Tommy: “Yeah, that huge war in our name, yeah.”

Wilbur: “I told them I wasn’t happy with it, I told them to stop. Do you remember when you started getting angry at Dream, and I tried to control you, and you ignored me? …Yeah. See, this is the thing. Tommy, I…I led the revolution, right, but the issue is, is that I sort of became the de facto President, but no one listens to me. No one cares about mine – or your – power. No one cares! To us, we may be in anarchy, you know?”

alright, so a) wilbur dislikes anarchy, that's a good thing to remember for later, b) he's pissed off that people aren't listening to him (and tommy, but he definitely just added that on to make him care about the subject) and he can't "control" them c) he sees more power as a solution. well... maybe he just doesn't want people to fight, right? he's talking about a civil war he couldn't stop, after all.

Wilbur: “We can either, Tommy, right – we can either become a dictatorship, okay…we can just suddenly decide, ‘right, we’re in charge,’ and we just start – we start asserting our dominance. Now the key thing to being a dictator, is we need to control the center of power…so we get an army going –”

Tommy: “What is the center of power? Is it like some cube, or like an orb?”

Wilbur: “The army! The army! The banks, you know? We take control of those, and then people will do exactly as we say, right? That’s the dictatorship route, right. The other route is the democracy route. Now, this route’s gonna be slightly harder, but I have a plan. So I was thinking…what better way of making people believe that you’re in charge than by having them vote for you, right?”

so, wilbur was thinking of getting "an army going" to "control the center of power" and to "take control" of "the banks". he saw this as a valid solution to people not bending to his authority.

then he turned to election fraud instead, which he puts as straight-up manipulation of his people into believing he isn't a dictator.

...what. i'm not going to praise him for that decision, that's not even the bare minimum - he's still being a prick and showing just how much he actually doesn't care about what the "people he claims to care about" (cc!wilbur's words again) want.

but let's get back to the point; so, according to all of the current evidence, what did wilbur want?

wilbur wanted glory, power and division, to be able to enforce his authority and take control of his people.

...this is what people are saying dream shouldn't have stood up against in his land and "left them alone". that is what people are saying he should've "let wilbur have" in the home he worked to protect and build for the people he cared about - and keep in mind the dream smp was pretty much an anarchy back then.

this was willbur's intentions, and the first instinct of a lot of people was to paint dream as the tyrant. that just doesn't sit right with me, i'll be honest with you.

what about techno, then?

well, new l'manberg was ruled by tubbo, who was only doing his best - truly doing his best to turn wilbur's lies into a reality. no corruption, no conflict, only a home.

but tubbo was not ever actually in charge, was he?

let's talk about post-16th quackity.

i remember the second tubbo livestream i ever saw live was him rebuilding the crater; putting up grass blocks over the top, with quackity and fundy helping him out. it was when quackity first proposed the idea of getting rid of techno.

tubbo didn't want conflict, and he disagreed at first because it went against his ideals and his morals.

that didn't pan out well for him - and i think that's enough evidence quackity was pulling the strings of the cabinet, if you take into consideration the propaganda, riling up, and overall vengefulness that we suddenly seemed to be working with.

quackity's words didn't speak louder than his actions, but they are still interesting to note; "bring this country to power" being a common theme in his motivation for getting techno and dream "out of the way".

so quackity wanted power as well, and this desire only grew as it was taken further from his reach, but ever since the 16th, it has been very prominent in the way he instructed the new l'manberg government.

techno, the local anarchist who fought (only) oppressive governments that hurt people, was supposed to not do doomsday and "leave l'manberg alone", while what quackity wanted was nothing else than to turn l'manberg back into a tool of power and control.

i'm beginning to see a pattern here.

i am all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, really; but the constant glorification of a revolution leader who did everything for his own power and benefit, and a "secretary" that committed multiple war crimes and literally harmed and manipulated innocents in his quest for power; plus the instantaneous villainization of those who stood as obstacles in their path, is a bit too much even for this fandom's standards, even for me.

i get wilbur and quackity are both silver-tongued bastards able to shift the narrative in their favor, but the grudges people will hold against characters that fight against them and the measures to which they'll reach in order to defend them is wild.

it's not as easy as "they should've let l'manberg be". the people leading l'manberg were far from innocent and had sinister intentions.

hetty hughes is one of the leading opera singers in georgian london. at a time when italian performers were considered superior, she is something of a patriotic novelty -- an english singer who can hold her own with the divas brought in from the continent. she is known for her versatile soprano, her good looks, and her scandalous reputation. like many performers of the day, she is known to have wealthy and aristocratic lovers, and many of her exploits appear in the scandal sheets. but hetty pays them little mind. she is almost pathologically focused on her career and her independence. she enjoys pleasure and revelry, but she is a career-oriented woman first and foremost: an artist above all else. 

POINTS OF INTEREST:

hetty is the illegitimate daughter of a long-deceased steward to the duke of gransmoor. the old duke raised her as his ward, before she ran away to become a singer against his wishes. your muse is not likely to know this. you must be a level 127437429 friend to unlock this backstory.

she is painfully devoted to the king’s theatre in london -- somewhat to the detriment of her own career. though she has given some tours and performances in europe to great success, she often turns town more lucrative engagements to remain in london. the king’s theatre is her home and she has little desire to leave it.

you know the deal. performances in london. tours throughout the uk and europe in the off-season. she is booked and busy! but she is also a staple of a certain level of london society and is a regular fixture of the demimonde, if you will.

LONDON SOCIETY: as noted before, hetty spends most of her time in london. she is occasionally invited into the salons of the ton as a guest, but more frequently as a hired performer. but she is regularly found at the opera house, at masquerades and other parties of less elite pedigree, surrounded by fellow artists, as well as more aristocratic individuals looking for an escape...

THE OPERA HOUSE: as a singer, this is where she spends most of her time. rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing. if your muse is a fellow musician, they might know her professionally, or a muse from some other background might encounter her after attending a performance.

ALL OVER THE WORLD: as noted above, hetty does tour europe (and possibly america, depending on the verse or thread). your muse might meet her there after taking in one of her concerts...

A theory on the reviving c!Wilbur situation.

Warning, swearing.

So... Let's start from the first important thing.

Wilbur died. We know this.

Then wilbur speaks to tommy after the disc confrontation, we know that Ghostbur and wilbur are different from each other.

Wilbur is told tommy wants to revive him.

Wilbur doesn't want to be alive again.

So now we move onto the main point of this theory.

Tommy dies, and talks to wilbur in the afterlife. Immediately, they're like.. already fighting.

Says there's 8 more eons. Which is 80 billion years.

But then wilbur starts with his competative solitaire. And I'll probably link back to this in a second, I don't know. These theories are just my train of thought as I write things down. I don't have a plan. Just a main thought and I expand on it. So yeah. Wilbur talks about solitaire.

And tommy declines, proceeding to blow raspberries.

Wilbur spends "six hours" setting out the cards.

And tommy despises the fact that wilbur is glad tommy is dead with him.

Wilbur said he knows that if he gets brought back in some way, the server is going to go to shit in some way.

But then wilbur is happy he's death.

And then tommy is brought back.

Now. Dream says he's going to bring wilbur back to break him out of the prison. And in all honesty, I don't think wilbur will be doing that. This wilbur is crazy and bringing him back to life will pull him away from that brink of clarity he had left when he blew up l'manberg. There will be nothing left of the wilbur that dream or anyone else knew.

So why would he help dream? Dream has a point, wilbur would owe him his life. But wilbur isn't Technoblade. Wilbur might not hold up on the promise to pay dream back.

Now onto tommy. Tommy begged dream to not bring wilbur back to life. That wilbur had terrible, terrible plans for when he was brought back.

I've got two to three possibilities of what the meaning behind this begging could mean.

1, tommy is using this to help wilbur stay dead, knowing that his brother-figure wants to stay dead with his solitaire cards and jschlatt and mexican dream. This, however, is clearly failing.

Or 2, tommy knows that if he shows weakness around dream, dream will use it to exploit him. Tommy has had months of time to sit and plan with wilbur what is going to happen. And tommy might still want his brother back. So.

Tommy acts like wilbur terrifies him. Like wilbur isn't playing competitive solitaire somehow and he's got big plans for the server, playing into Dream's want for manipulating tommy and, if I'm honest, I think he also wants to see the world burn.

However. Maybe this is false. We saw tommy and wilbur arguing at each other before, and plus wilbur is sick in the head. There is a possibility that he knows the silly little solitaire is getting at Tommy's nerves because he's annoyed easily.

Or 3. "Come back in any way".

Wilbur has put himself onto tommy again. Maybe it wasn't physical. But due to talking to wilbur again, tommy is influenced by him. Kind of like how ranboo thought he had gotten rid of the dream voice because he hadn't been talking to dream enough to remember what he sounded like.

What if that's what's happening here?

It would play into the "don't become this person" trope that they're playing onto the kids. Tommy shouldn't become wilbur, tubbo shouldn't become jschlatt, ranboo shouldn't become dream. That kind of thing.

Now tommy has listened to and been around wilbur, tommy is being influenced in some way.

Maybe the bit that's influencing tommy is the small bit of wilbur that's left that's terrified about what could happen if wilbur is revived.

But. Now a part of wilbur has been revived within tommy.

And we look around and realised how much lore is going on.

Techno streamed, phil did lore, ranboo took a break from tubbo and michael and did lore and is now panic brewing potions, foolish has done lore for the first time, the egg is having a crimson banquet, puffy has done an origin story where apparently she's lost memories as well, we had another tales from the smp episode set in the near future. And that's only the ones I've been able to find and watch as they're my main streamers I watch. I know niki was involved with the syndicate now, and jack manifold is getting grief. I know something is happening with quackity. I still dread the day sam does lore because that's gonna break me if he still thinks tommy is dead.

The lore seems to be picking up and in a more... Disastrous way.

And it's due to the egg.

And I link back to solitaire. I swear. I will link these two together.

Competative solitaire is weird because solitaire is a single player game. So what if the point of "competitive solitaire" is who can get the most cards in the right order, or something? Or who can clear the board of cards first? Gain every card?

The definition of solitaire is, after all, "any of various card games played by one person, the object of which is to use up all one's cards by forming particular arrangements and sequences." And yes. I looked this up for a minecraft theory. I'm insane. I know.

So. Competative solitaire.

And wilbur knows things will go to shit if he gets brought back in some way.

Competative solitaire between tommy and the egg.

Tommy currently has the upper hand. The egg doesn't know he's back as far as we're aware, I don't think.

The question is, who's going to make the first move? Who's going to move that first card?

But as with solitaire, there's always a possibility that you won't win. Or in this case, nobody wins. There's always a chance.

So what happens if this chess game that dream is playing, turns into one of cards? Where each player has completely different cards to each other? We know wilbur has been playing solitaire in the afterlife, perhaps tommy brought that knowledge with him when he was revived?

Maybe the begging for wilbur was his first card being dealt.

I don't know anymore. Cards? Chess? Eggs? Block men? Who would have thought that our lives during this would bring us here.

But yeah. Just a weird train of thought that I went on. It seemed a little weird that competitive solitaire is a thing that wilbur repeated more than a few times.

We know cc!wilbur is back with writing the plot now. Who knows what that man could bring us all.
