Really been an amazing time watching you grow and your world grow, and I always love seeing you and Jack's stuff pop up and seeing tidbits of your next little (or sometimes huge) adventure. jing yuan thanked, making you simply nod your head with a smile before turning your attention to yingxing and baiheng. they were already arguing about who is gonna pay the bill when none of you guys were even finished eating

"bei ngo zou! ngo jau cin"

baiheng insisted, not realizing how loud she was as she was too busy trying to convince yingzing to let her pay the bill

"mou, mou, ngo ho ji" yingxing shook his head, waving his hands in front of him

"me cin?"

dan feng quietly asked in a sarcastic voice, earning a giggle from you baiheng and yingxing probably would have gone on for much longer but luckily jingliu finally spoke up

"mou gong laa. sik sin. ngo bei cin"

jingliu sighed and shook her head, akin to that of a mother scolding her children. jing yuan giggled before eating the har gow you had given him, eyes closing as he enjoys the savory taste of the shrimp

"tim sam, nei bei cin hai ma?"

you asked dan feng with a whisper. dan feng hadnt reply with words but rather a nod. you looked over to see jingliu staring at dan feng. her gaze wasnt cold, but one of acknowledgment

☁️ Cloudy - What inspired you to start writing your WIP? (or in general)

It happened in a dream! No, for real, I had this very cinematic dream about being a wizard and I really wanted to continue the plot, so I started daydreaming about it. This was during quarantine, so I had a lot of time on my hands to wander around and daydream. Eventually, I codified the worldbuilding by writing it all down and Illaros as we know it was born. I sort of hesitated to write actual stories for a while after that. I've always been a big reader and a perfectionist, so I knew the type of book I wanted to write, I just didn't know how to get there.

Junior year of highschool was when I finally wrote my first short story. It was pretty bad, but I found I enjoyed the process of writing, so I wrote another short story that was probably worse, then I wrote the short story that, by way of me repeatedly tacking plot points on, would eventually become Honor's Outcasts. Mystery of the Mortal God came about after I ran a home game of dnd. I decided I liked some of the npcs enough to use them in the writing project I'd been contemplating between HO2 and 3.

And I've never really looked back since! I feel like I started a little late compared to a lot of folk on here, but that's fine. I'll give a shout-out to my author friend from my friday dnd game for being the first person to seriously beta read my stuff and encourage me to pursue writing for real. You're a bro, Jeremy, and you play a kickass cleric!
