Happy #AudioDramaSunday dear wanderers! This week at work had way fewer meetings which meant more podcast time

Starting off the week, I had a relisten to the entirety of the Technomancy Project because I have a problem <3 I love the Technomancy Project so much and will likely relisten again soon

Also Jason *does* say gods instead of god throughout all of season 1 and I never noticed because *I* say gods instead of god because that's just who I am as a person

I missed a clue

Because of my linguistic choices

And I have no regrets

@re-dracula is continuing its incredible journey and I feel so bad for Lucy. It doesn't matter that I know what happens to her. Hearing Beth Eyre voice Lucy is cutting directly into my soul

Episodes 5 and 6 of @doyoucopypod have made me feel EMOTIONS. Episode 5 in particular made me cry. At my desk. At work. Cody Heath has made me cry with this show TWICE. And I wouldn't have it any other way

Patreon access for @malevolentcast was released this week and yeah. YEAH. I will be screaming about it more once public release has happened but its one hell of an episode (as they all are)

And of course we had the @EthicsTownPod season finale. Louis Hendry has created a crazy fucked up world (affectionate) and I'm obsessed with it. Liz Dokukina and Rhys Lawton absolutely punched me in the chest with the finale (and with the whole season) PLEASE listen to Ethics Town

Last on my listen list was episode 1 of The Silt Verses and hooooooboy I'm already so in love with it. Its been on my list for ages and both Tay and Tot told me to listen to it got moved up and yeah

Hooooooboy that chronic pain is acting up this morning...I hate working from bed because it makes me feel super lazy despite the fact that I literally have ehlers-danlos and would probably be making the necessary call by staying here but I still feel guilty

The state of things: Generally good, generally caught up, but still a little crispy around the edges

(Post now corrected because my brain fried for a little bit while I typed the second to last paragraph and whooooo. Okay, fixed. Brain and paragraph.)

My massage therapist had an open slot that I snagged because hooooooboy, my body needs this.

For the most part, all is good, my lungs are back to normal, my immune system is no longer engaging in a militant uprising, my muscles aren’t tense-as-all-hell from a week of too much prednisone (well, the correct amount, but, yeah, ya know), and I am caught up on the vast majority of the random backlog of Adulting(tm) that is deadline driven (with deadlines that cannot be easily moved).

Unfortunately, my body (neck down) is still having random mild anxiety flair ups for no good reason. Well, for a very obvious reason: anything in the prednisone family will do this and I just need to wait for it too all settle down or I need to be in an ultra calming space for a week, which sounds great but isn’t entirely possible.

On the plus side, I have another massage scheduled in 2 weeks (self-care is good).

Not amused by the fact that coming OFF of prednisone, even on a scheduled step-down, requires all of this readjustment but none of this is surprising so my brain/cognition just accepts it and attempts to tune it out.

Re: the unknown viral nonsense (suspected but unconfirmed covid), I am fully over it and good to go with exercise/life which is GREAT because the cabin fever, constant sleeping/napping, immune-system-out-of-control, coughing, asthma, inflammation in lungs definitely sucked. Just wish it had not required clusterbombing my system with corticosteroid-nukes for an entire week. fallout on my nervous system still a problem.

But— I think I am good to go with playing video games again on the big screen and that is EXACTLY the kind of immersive activity I need.

hooooooboy figuring out how to play a dnd character that's built totally differently than you would have approached it is such a challenge. a fun! challenge!!!! but a challenge nonetheless (ultimately, i think i'm more of an optimizer at heart than i want to admit and it's a painful thing to admit lkjk 😅😅😅)
