The process of updating my paperback prices (and all my files) gave me stress hives, so that's fun.

Also, if you suddenly can't see Phangs in your ebook/paperback retailer of choice, that's why. I had to upload new files to correct some minor typos and also update some metadata, so I'd no longer be deadnaming my illustrator. And that required me to take them off the market so the new files could be processed. They should hopefully go live sometime this week.

Payhip files are also updated to correct metadata, but there should be no pause in availability there.

I have no control over when the new prices will roll out, but looking at Ingram, at least, the new price changes will go into effect on March 10th, 2023. The paperbacks will be $17.99 from here on out. Sorry. Ebook prices remain the same. Thank you for both understanding and encouraging me to up my prices so that I'm actually making money instead of losing it. I'll get a whole two dollars going forward! Instead of a penny 😅

i feel like such a pill coming on here and whinging every day, but i guess its good to just express it. i just feel bad because i act like this is so hard on me when mum is twice as stressed about everything that happened in the last few months than i am, and way more is on her shoulders than mine. i know she feels very overwhelmed by the jumps nonna's level of care has taken over the last few months, not to mention her own health stuff she's been dealing with like her heart, and i know she feels guilty that my brother and i are as involved as we are. and i don't want to do or say anything that makes her feel more guilty because i know she'll just put more on herself to try and give us a reprieve, which is not going to be good for anyone! we all moved in together so this work could be shared, so that it wasn't on any one person, even though mum is the primary carer. its just a hard time. i still don't want to catch up with any irl friends, partly bc the exhaustion of living through the last few months is taking up all my energy but also partly bc what sort of company would i even be right now lol, i don't want to talk about anything bc i could never capture it all, and also wow what a fun story to listen to. really livens the mood when you're out to dinner! also realistically its only been two weeks since my friend went back home and with my energy deficit i need way longer to recover from three straight weeks of socialising than that, so i should just give myself that and not feel guilty about it.

mum met with some aged care people today who showed her this hoist that is used to help move largely immobile people and she said it looked really good, and that we could hopefully have one by next week, which is a big relief. between that and having the physio come out a couple of times a week hopefully we'll be able to move nonna around without causing her discomfort or causing us any strain.

Fic update for ABIB - I’m currently taking some time to sit down and write out the entire timeline and figure out the plot lines I’ve barely given any thought to😅. Plus I’m trying to cram for the ACT….

So it may be another week or 2 before I upload a new chapter. Or possibly longer because I was rereading the fic yesterday and there are some HORRENDOUS typos that need editing. Apparently I didn’t know how to proofread when I posted those💀 I also want the next chapter to be quality and of a decent length so it may be more like 3 weeks to a month before there’s any new content out. But there’s some serious housekeeping that needs to be done around here, so I’ll be working on that and hopefully the planning will improve the overall quality of the fic.

btw i just wanted to say… it’s okay if you’ve been sleeping a lot lately. it happens to me too and i’m always guilt-ridden but my friends and family all say the same thing and it helps me feel less… upset with myself.

you’re only sleeping this much because your body needs it. it’s tired and it’s asking for rest and the only way it can convince you is by tiring you out and making you sleep an entire day. and that’s okay. sometimes we need a break 💛 remember to not be hard on yourself. eat a banana or something. it’ll help fuel your brain to start getting serious.

i really do hope you get all your work done. but just remember that it’s okay to take breaks and you’re not wrong for wanting to relax and unwind.

HAHAHAH yessir i'm trying to do it, but i'm currently taking my time w my coffee while (re)watching miss fisher's murder mysteries njdkf i did some work while waiting for my food to heat up so !! and i'm gonna go to the library tonight and hopefully get a lecture done for tmrw, and also try and finish (or at least outline) the rest of one of my assignments. i also need to do some research for another which wil hopefully be done by.. tmrw 💀 it's a group assignment though so uh. not /as/ much pressure. but also still a lot of need for it to be done so the others can do their part rip. (just me,, listing everything i need to do because apparently telling someone what you need/want to do is a good way to get it done??? which is why i'm scared to post a wip list HAHAHAHA) (perhaps i will do my lecture at home before i go to the library hm.)

i will confess that i am not a fan of bananas. but yes i am trying to eat/drink stuff that'll energise me a bit (but not energy drinks.. red bulls no no... the smell is no no sigh)

I have come back to smut galore it seems. I usually get second hand embarrassment from reading smut, which I don't usually read, let alone write, but I do have to admit that yours is very well written, so props to you. 😂😂❤️

also i really don't think my writing is anywhere near as good as some of the authors here 😭 i suppose i just focus more on humanising the characters and try to make the atmosphere and their feelings formulate in a lyrical way? i've written manuscripts on unfinished projects before but interactive fictions and straightforward novels are very different things tbh. i'm a novice when it comes to writing interactive stories so it was kind of difficult to understand how can i turn the novel format, that i was used to writing, into an interactive one.

i'm still learning and i doubt TCS will be a ‘masterpiece’ of an IF, if i'm being honest. you might even think that the pacing of the story is more like a novel than an interactive fiction 😭 it's something i'm still working on tho. however, hearing people say such sweet things about my writing and how they can't wait to read more has my heart swelling with so much joy ❤️ y'all know i'm the typo king atp and it's surprising to me that you all actually like reading whatever scribbles i write 😭

literally, you all have no idea how much you've boosted my confidence in my writing during these past couple of months (starting from my WLB days). to know that so many people are awaiting the release of TCS's demo and are eager to play is such an exhilarating feelings, albeit a bit scary. i think i've finished half of the prologue now, bonnies, y'all won't have to wait for long! the only thing i'm fearing right now is the word count for chapter one 💀
