More Steam Deck thoughts:

honestly way lighter then we expected. We'd heard it was really heavy and while it is heavier then our Switch it doesn't feel like much and its well balanced and easy to hold

Its about as big as our Switch when we have a Hori Split Pad controller, however, the way its set up is much more comfortable to use with small hands and we don't find ourselves struggling with buttons or grip.

All we've run so far is, heavily modded, Stardew and Old Skyrim, but damn this thing is snappy even when we've got 100+ extra mods on a game

Its been over a decade since we've used Linux but tbh I don't think any real Linux experience is needed for modding games or setting up the basics of customization, the version of Proton it runs is honestly more intuitive to use then Windows imo

If we get a keyboard it could honestly work as a fairly decent laptop for what we need.

Honestly if what you want from a computer is basic text editing and socmed stuff with games the basic model + a keyboard and mouse for it might actually be the best bang for your buck

Cannot emphasis enough our love of the fact there's an inbuilt "swap button orientation to Nintendo" and per game control schemes. Wonderful honestly solves two of our biggest issues when switching between systems.

Pretty good day today I suhppose. Spent way too much on breakfast and I'm currently not thinking about it, but after my partner left with her dad to stay with them for a few days I finally played some Monster Hunter GU with my friends who have been playing without me after I waited like 4 months for someone to play toys with me but its fine!! I love playing Monster Huntor, hammer is so good in GU and Rise, cuz valor style hammer kicks ass and then in Rise they just made that the hammer. Then we went to band for a few hours but my tummy was causing throat problems, and I'm the singer technically i guess so I had to tap out of that. While we were at band our friend gave me a gift that I thought was from her but I guess was actually from my mom, which is a controller thingy I've been wanting for a while

Kind of a terrible pic, but the joyc9n things on the sides are the Hori split pad pro, which are just joycon replacements that feel more like a real controller and are like $30 because they dont have any of the joycon guts in them, and the thing connecting them is what my mom got me which basically turns them into a whole wired controller since they dont have wireless capability. These have become my preferred controller for a lot of games so I'm gonna get a lot of use out of this

Im taking care of the bird while my partner is away so I gotta make sure I wake up during bird hours

Trade offer of my like new complete in box original 3DS for a V1 Switch and PSP 3000. Would you do that? The 3DS has one hairline scratch on the front(near unnoticeable) and has about 300 games on it. It comes with all the original packaging, even the AR cards are sealed. The guy wants it for a V1 Switch with dock, charger, hori split pad pro, but no joycons, not in great condition but screen is nice. And a PSP 3000 with Midnight Club LA Remix, no charger, no battery. Gaming plans for 2025

Like I mentioned previously my main game for this year is Cozy Grove, I have one bear left both from game and DLC to discover. But there are collection and they are very hard to complete. My list of things I'm missing has 52 pages.

I hope to finish more games or DLC this year - at least three per season. I have few games that I made some progress so I want to complete them first. I'll mostly focus on Two Point Studio games since I want break between DLCs.

The Sims 4 - I decided to focus completely on super sim challenge, I hit block on my rainbow save, because I concentrated too much that each colour needs to have theme.

I got hori split pad for Christmas so I can play on my switch comfortably again.

My 31st birthday experience

So it was the 15th of December, where my birthday took place. And just before I gear myself up to open presents in the middle of Christmas Eve which is today, I'm going over what I did on my 31st. Hit the jump to see the pics!

I woke up first thing in the morning and greeted myself with over ten birthday presents. From left to right, it's a Yeti DayTrip Lunch Bag; a DIY 2025 calendar I commissioned my relatives for $20; a pair of alien slippers (I named them Cherry and Chocolate); The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection 2 pack in DVD form; a pair of shades; Polar Bear Mini Cooler; 72 SEASONS by Metallica in CD form; co2CREA carrying case for AirPods MAX; U•four•ia the Saga 2; HORI Split Pad Compact [Light Grey/Yellow] and a Buldak serving bowl from ZEN.

Several hours later, I treated myself with dinner at Applebee's by havinng Classic Bacon Cheeseburger w/ barbecue sauce, fries and Pepsi. Notice the fork and a knife since diner burgers are becoming incredibly huge.

And soon a I almost finished my burger, the employees happily gave me an ice cream treat with chocolate fudge syrup on the bottom and two cherries on top of whipped cream. Although I do enjoy the real birthday song, I wasn't even done with my meal!

Later that night, I had a Blizzard style birthday cake. I chose pastel green since I may consider doing some sort of an origin reference. The cake in general was really tasty, though it's hard to cut since it's been in the freezer for too long...

And, yeah. That's all I did for my birthday. I won't be spending much of it in my hometown by next year. And that, of course, leads me to...

Have you had issues with delayed input in mgs? Especially when it comes to using weapons? I have it on the switch and I can't tell if it's the game itself or if my controllers are just messed up

Nah, seems fine to me? Runs like a charm tbh. Though I've been using the pro controller and the hori split pad. Mind you I've only done MGS1 and 2 so far, idk how well MGS3 runs yet.
