I’m deciding to toss this girl out in to the world a smidge early. She’s still a major work in progress, and I’m working on designing her rn. But I have a feeling that she’s not going to be touched again for a while once BG3 releases so here we are.

I HAVE AN OC FOR KOTALLO NOW. I love her. I love them. Playing Jedi: Survivor and getting “space Kotallo” was nice just cause it reminded me that he genuinely was one of my favorites from Forbidden West and I missed the character. And then it hit me like a brick that I’ve been wanting to make a Horizon oc for a while, and the guy was just standing around like free real estate.

Her name is Dekettah! Though she’s eventually going to start using a different one or a shortened version of it. I wanted to explore what someone would go through if they were a “bad” tenakth, unathletic and clumsy and sweet by nature but raised in a culture where none of those traits get you far. She is really artsy, and ends up being a tattoo artist while living in the Sky Clan. Eventually she sets off and leaves the Forbidden West, traveling around other cultures for a while trying to find somewhere she feels more at home, only returning during the events of game two after befriending Aloy.

There is way more to the story than that, but I think I will leave that to another post. Hopefully I’ll have a finished design for her at some point and can do an intro page.

Rejuvenation

“There was a code the Old Ones left behind in this garden— an emergency failsafe that could restart the entire irrigation system. It’s kinda silly, but it turns out the code was a dance, complete with a fancy light show and a song. I guess whoever owned this place had put some sort of sensors in the floor that could sense rhythmic steps to tell the system to reboot? Anyway, I had tried it on my own, but I could never get it to work. Wasn’t until later that I found out it had to be two people dancing. So, since I had no irrigation system, and no friends near here at all, I’ve been relying on bringing water in from the river to grow the plants. It was grueling work, carrying gallons from the river everyday, most of which ended up spilling out by the time I got back. All this time I felt hopeless and close to giving up, but… Now that you’re here, Aloy, I can rest easy.”

WOW UH ok this took so lomg but oh my god it was so fucking worth it. uhhhh hhhh uhhh um <33 yeah. tldr aloy and jaakkima save the garden by dancing together like GAYS. GAY PEOPLE. TWO GIRLS KISSING

i was listening to the extended version of concertina ballerina while finishing this, and i realized that this instrumental part that starts at about 3:14 would be perfect for this :) have a listen

This is the first design of Chromi, She/Her/They, a Horizon Original Character. I was lured into the fandom by a friend of mine and introduced to a group of people on a discord that have been nothing but a positive experience and inspiration for me. I couldn't be more thankful. They even inspired me to try writing for myself and have been ever patient with my chaos and many questions. Pocket friends are the best. Ill be posting links to my drawing stream on Discord and the links for my AO3 story "The Path of Light", a Horizon fan fic about Chromi and Mournful Namman. Finished a fullbody portrait of my Horizon/DnD oc, Jules!

He still needs a backstory but he’s a Nora seeker and finds himself in the forbidden west, he tags along with the Gaia gang sometimes but usually is up to his own business. And is a Human Ranger DnD wise. Not really much else to say about him other than that! Hope you like it!
