sorry to still be thinking about it but its amazing the amount of people who are willing to overlook one of the core elements of konoha's history (and by extension of naruto as a whole) which is the marginalisation and straight up segregation of the uchiha clan just because the character who kickstarted all of it has a cool design and is really strong. tobirama hated the uchiha to the point where his own brother while on his DEATHBED had to make him promise not to hurt them so he made up the police force and assigned it to the uchiha so they could be effectively unable to do literally any other job while also making sure everyone else in konoha hated them because they felt constantly under watch by the red eyed freaks. tobirama's excuse was that he didnt actually hate the uchiha, just madara, who was coincidentally their most powerful member, so the uchiha exiled him bc they believed tobirama. and what did that accomplish? that when madara died nobody claimed his body and tobirama took it to STUDY it and then buried him in an unmarked grave (which ironically worked in madara's favor later). tobirama "i dont hate the uchiha one of my students was an uchiha" senju just so happened to also "raise" one of the biggest uchiha haters in konoha history, danzo, who not only furthered their marginalisation and demonization but also orchestrated their whole entire MASSACRE just so he could steal their eyes.
but sure the two things are completely unrelated and tobirama and danzo are very different and nothing matters

When reading a book or watching a series, have you :
a. Finish a book or a series, even when you dislike the mc until the end but love the story (What's the title?)
b. Finish a book or a series, even when you dislike the story but love the mc (what's the title?)
c Finish a book or a series, even when you dislike the mc and story but love the worldbuilding (what's the title?)
d. Finish a book or a series, even when you dislike the mc, story, worldbuilding but still finish it for whatever reason (what's the title?)
Generally, with movies or TV series I am very quick to drop them if I don't find them interesting and never pick them up again. It's moreso with books and mangas/comics where I continue while some parts might not engage me much or I even lost most of my interest completely, but I keep going to find out how it ends. Especially applies for stuff that is currently coming out. I'll quickly forget about a boring anime or TV series that updates weekly, but checking for a new manga chapter is much easier. There only has to be something that makes me curious about the ending or some slither of hope that it might become interesting again in the future.
a.) That applies to a lot of series, especially mangas and shonen in particular. With books I'm more likely to drop it if I don't like the mc, but that's mostly due to being constrained to that person's viewpoint in most cases. And being in the head of someone you don't like or care for isn't fun. Mangas have a much broader perspective there. Side characters or villains are usually the main reason I stick to them till the end. Best example, Monster is one of my favourite animangas and I very quickly lost interest in Tenma or even found him annoying. Johan very much made up for that though, as well a few other side characters and the mystery of the story in general. Same with Chi no Wadachi. I feel for the mc's struggles, but I don't feel him as a person very interesting on his own. Part of that is also intentional, since his mother robbed him of his identity, I just thought that made the last part of the story not very engaging. I can see what the author was trying to do, I appreciate it and I still like the story overall, but reading it with month-long break with only 10 page updates made it drag quite a lot. I'm glad I stuck to it though and reading it in one go instead of monthly makes for a better experience too, I think. Naruto would also be an example of a shonen where I find the main character mostly annoying. I skipped large parts of Pain's arc and the beginning of the 4th Shinobi World War and only returned for Madara and later Orochimaru. Even if I hadn't, I would've still read the end though, simply because Naruto was such a large part of my childhood. Hunter x Hunter is also an example where I don't care much for most of the main four, but I stick to it because of other characters, the villains and simply because I like the story and world building.
b.) I don't think there is any. Characters make up a big appeal of a story for me, but not so much that they could carry every other fault on their backs. I might check what happens to a character I liked after the series is over, but if I can't stand the story that is being told, I won't read or watch it till the end.
c.) Tengoku Daimakyou would fit here I guess. Any part of the story that follows Maru has me bored to disgusted and frustrated and his presence also sours me on Kiruko a bit although I like them isolated. I still check for updates every once in a while though because I think every part of the story that touches on Takahara Academy is actually interesting and there are a lot of engaging characters there. Seeing them adapt to the outside world was nice too and I like the previous Anjulas fight. Those little moments were we get more info on the mutated students and such are interesting enough that I check for updates, even if I end up only skimming the current chapters that focus on Maru. The end of Dungeon Meshi might qualify too, but I really only mean the last 10 chapters or so here. The ending left me very dissatisfied and I only finished it and continue to read the extra chapters because I'm hoping for a more in-depth explanation for how this new world without dungeons is supposed to function. So far I haven't really gotten an answer... I don't really dislike any of the main characters, but by the end the only thing I really cared about besides the world building was Laios and the Winged Lion.
d.) Chainsaw Man. Part 2 started promising enough, but after Yuko's death and this forced romance between Asa and Denji I really lost all interest in the story. I still check on it every month or so or whenever I remember it exist, simply because I liked Part 1 well enough and I am curious about what happens to Asa. And every time I get disappointed. Asa hasn't really been relevant lately, I never liked Denji all that much and the other characters are mostly uninteresting too, the story isn't very engaging and feels a bit aimless and you don't even have a charismatic villain to pull it all together. There's the vague threat of the Death Devil, but that doesn't feel very imminent. The Fire Devil is very poorly established and its powers don't make much sense to me (what about fire makes you able to willy-nilly hand out powers of other devils to humans while making fake contracts with them nonetheless). Fami is kinda more comic relief like Yoru, I don't find her very threatening. Barem is fine I guess, he knows how to spice things up, but he's only a minor antagonist. They are really lacking a real looming presence that also pushes the plot forward like Makima. Denji constantly getting used as victim of some predatory women also is getting really old and makes me feel very uncomfortable because nothing of consequence ever happens from it. It's always just "woman/girl uses or threatens Denji in exchange for sexual or romantic favours. he falls for it. rince and repeat." Feels more exploitative than any message about survivors of sexual assault and toxic relationships. But despite all my complaints I still want to at least see how it all wraps up to make up my opinion on the whole series and I still have that slither of hope that it might become interesting again at some point again. Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt.

Thoughts on certain Characters in Naruto.
So I’ve been rewatching Naruto for nostalgia's sake. Right now, I’m at the end of the Shinobi War Arc and I found myself feeling very mixed about the arc in general. I like many of the characters and I disliked a few others. There were many plotholes and plot convenience. You have a hyped villain be suddenly replaced with a low tier villain that only loses because she is uncoordinated.
Here are my thoughts on certain characters.
I found him very compelling and interesting. Madara was the perfect foil for Naruto and Sasuke. I personally like villains with compelling philosophies like Pain for example. Madara had an interesting philosophy that made his actions seem like the actions of an anti-villain, rather than a villain. Unlike Pain, though, Madara was aware or his hypocrisy about IT because it will remove the free will to create peace. When the Hashirama and Madara filler arc came out, I found myself captivated by both characters. The arc took a refreshing take and fleshed out Madara's character. He went from an idealistic child born in a warring period to a ruthless, pessimistic cynic. I also liked Madara and Hashirama's friendship because it felt genuine, unlike Sasuke and Naruto's relationship that was very conflicted and unbalanced until the end.
Madara's foreshadowing was what made Madara compelling to me. For 7 years, Madara was foreshadowed. Tobi pretended to be him for a good chunk of the anime and manga. Madara was closely tied to the history of the anime's world. He influenced so many events indirectly and directly. Then when he's finally revealed, Madara shows how awesome and badass he was immediate. He stole the show for me.
Now I will admit Madara was OP to the max, especially when he used Susanoo with no eyes. But I read that Kishi wanted to make Madara an invincible villain so the stakes seem higher. But then again, I think the series got retconned, so I may be wrong.
So when he went out, I was like WTF? You hype this bastard up for 7 years and he gets taken out by a Mama boy? He didn't even get a final fight with Sasuke and Naruto. I hated after BZ betrays Madara, everyone forgets about him. Madara just disappeared from the show so everyone can focus on a boring alien.
I was honestly expecting a redemption arc for Madara, considering how flippant the show is about villains. The core message of the show is that no one is born evil, so I never understood how OBITO, a mass-murdering terrorist who killed thousands and started a war can get a redemption arc and go be with Rin, but Madara doesn't get a redemption arc. (You could argue that him being forgiven by Hashirama could be considered redemption, but it's not like Madara was begging for Hashirama’s forgiveness.) How evil does a character have to be to do irredeemable in the anime? Because Obito caused way more stuff directly than Madara. (The Uchiha massacre, the Nine tails attack, the Akatsuki, and the war.) Madara had a sympathetic backstory just like Obito, honestly, his backstory was better than Obito. A child desperate for peace, forced to cut off and battle his best friend, loses his family to war, loses his brother, be distrusted his own clan, and be killed by his best friend. Obito was an orphan, despite having a Grandmother in the anime, he was the underdog, he had an unrequited crush on Rin, he was jealous of Kakashi, he gets crushed by a boulder, and Rin dies. That's his story. He lost one person awhile Madara lost his entire family and his clan and his best friend.
Anyway, I'm getting off track, I love the arc and I'm definitely going to find myself rewatching the episodes again.
But Madara was done dirty.
Obito: Considering my rant in the Madara's description, it's obvious I am not a fan of the redeemed murderous, delusional psychopath.
Obito as Tobi, I loved. I liked his quirky personality because it completely contrasted with the brooding nature of the Akatsuki. I found his power very interesting because I love intangibility.
Then when he revealed himself to be "Madara," I loved him even more. His English voice was just awesome to listen to. It just sounded badass. I have to give credit to Neil, because he made Madara's voice very memorable compared to the other voice acting. Tobi was cool and badass, his declaration to the 5 Kages was so chilling and was my favorite part of the 5 Kage summit.
Then when the mask fell off, good lord. He became this annoying, whiny manchild that enjoyed murdering innocent soldiers and loves tormenting Naruto. Obito is the sole reason why Naruto became an orphan with the Nine tail fox sealed inside of him. He killed Kushina and Minato and caused the deaths of thousands of villagers. (Maybe even his own Grandmother and Rin's parents.) He even indirectly caused the Uchiha massacre to occur, then he actively participated in the massacre with Itachi. At least Itachi was following orders from the government to stop a coup. Obito had no reason to kill his own clan.
Obito was just unbearable. I felt no sympathy for him at all. I know he claimed he didn't do all of this because Rin died, but Obito continuously talked about Rin as if she was the reason. Rin didn't even seem to like Obito back, she was interested in Kakashi.  Then after 16-20 years of murdering innocence and other corruption acts, Obito suddenly rethinks his entire life choices. Why? Because he saw himself in Naruto? You know the NEWBORN BABY he was seconds away from murdering and the baby who he orphaned?
Even his excuse for why he was evil didn't make me sympathize with him, because he experienced ONE traumatic event and deemed the world a hell. He was a teenager, so he wasn't mature enough. Madara on the other hand lived through the warring period experienced hardships, tried to live peacefully, but couldn't and developed his cynical philosophy over time. Obito developed his in a few seconds when he was still a child.
Obito should have remained a villian and died as a villain. Not as some redeemed, misunderstood martyr.
Hashirama- Hashirama is a very compelling character that I found myself enjoying very much. His easy going personality was fun, his sudden depression spells were quirky, I just liked how silly he is, despite being a God of Shinobi.
But my main problem with Hashirama is that he was too idealistic. Which is why he needed Tobirama to guide him. He was really ready to kill himself because of Madara's ultimatum. Granted he did it for peace, but if he died, no one would have been able to stop Madara from wiping out the Senju. Also I'm sure the Senju and maybe the defecting Uchiha would rebel against Madara, causing more conflict because again, Madara was basically unstoppable. It would be a mess if Hashirmara died at that moment. I love his friendship with Madara, but I was pretty baffled when Hashirama was easily convinced not to elect Madara for Hokage. (Honestly the village should have had a council because that would balance things a bit.) This is the same man who was ready to off himself to gain Madara's trust. Hashirama didn't even argue or defend his friend, it was out of character.
But anyway I really liked Hashirama because of his personality, his powers, and his character.
Gai: Awesome character. Gai should have died after using the DEATH gate. It would have so much depth and impact if he did. He died fighting Madara in his prime and Madara declared him to be the strongest. Wasted opportunity.
The 5 Kages as a whole:
I liked all of their personalities and their powers. But they should have been murdered by Madara. Madara was summoning meteors and creating destructive susanoos, throwing out a flamethrower, creating dozens of wooden clones that can all use Susanoo, and he can't kill FIVE people? He even sliced Tsunade in half, but yet she survived. Any of the Kages that had no further role in the War arc should have died. So Mei, A, and Ohnoki should have died.
Keep Tsunade and Gaara. Keep Tsunade alive so she could pull a Chiyo on a dying Naruto and keep Gaara so he can save Naruto. Ohnoki at the very least should have died.
That’s just my opinion. I’m a huge Naruto fan.

Another commission for @cassieeeeanne.
Pairing: MadaraKakashi Word count: 3653 Rated: E Summary: Madara's never been a big part of Kakashi's acting career, he's just not a fan of live theater, but if it's that important to his partner then he'll survive going to see one show. Or at least, that was his attitude at first. By the end of Kakashi's first appearance on stage he's had somewhat of a change of heart - and his pants are much tighter.

“I don’t understand why this one is so important for me to go see,” Madara grumbled, letting the fridge door fall shut with a muted thump. “You’ve never cared whether or not I go see you perform before. Didn’t I tell you on, like, our first date that I have never enjoyed live theater?”
“Maa, would it be so painful to come see just one?” Kakashi asked. For added effect he fluttered his eyelids and Madara glared back as he cracked open his protein shake.
“Depends. What will you do for me in return?” He felt absolutely no trace of guilt for asking. It wasn’t like Kakashi ever took much of an interest in his job no matter how many times he had offered to set his partner up with an easy workout schedule. Most of his clients would die for the chance to have a free personal trainer but Kakashi was happy with his slim physique.
His question seemed to stump the other man for a few minutes so Madara took the opportunity to toss back half of his breakfast replacement while he waited for Kakashi’s clever brain to come up with something.
“I’ll fuck you backstage?”
And that was how Madara found himself squeezed in to a too small, out of style auditorium seat glaring down at the stage below. He’d never enjoyed theatre and until now Kakashi had respected that. Whatever it was about this play that made it so important for him to come see it must be something big for that to change. Obviously after living together for so long Kakashi understood how little he cared about making a scene in public when he was grumpy about something and having to sit through two hours of nonsense while packed in to a room with dozens of strangers was definitely something he was likely to get grumpy about.
He grunted when the lights went out and folded his arms crossly. As much as he’d made a fuss about getting some reward for coming here there was clearly something important to his boyfriend about him attending this play and he wasn’t actually a terrible partner no matter what people had been trying to tell Kakashi since long before they even got together. He had promised to try and sit through whatever this was and he did intend to give it a try.
But it was anyone’s guess how long he would actually last. Not long judging by the nervous warble in the voice of the poor young girl who stumbled on stage first.
For the first twenty minutes Madara felt honestly and truly vindicated in his opinion that live theatre was absolute trash. Give him a movie any day with special effects and editing to make it more interesting. Kakashi hadn’t even come on stage yet and already he was ready to give up, go home, slip himself in to bed and start drafting his apology speech for not waiting any longer.
And then Kakashi did come on stage.
Right away Madara felt a twinge of interest stirring in his belly. Kakashi’s costume was all dark fabrics and draped silhouettes; combined with his pale skin it make him look like the moon springing forth from behind a cloud of darkness. Over his left eye they had painted in the crease of the scar he’d gotten as a child, exaggerating it, turning the sharp cut in to a jagged line. With his hair gelled up in gravity defying spikes and his eyes painted with khol he could not have been more obviously the evil character of this production.
Then he spoke his first line and Madara sat up a little straighter. Kakashi’s usual speaking voice was slow and quiet, a drawl more than anything else. Now his every syllable was clipped and his voice boomed so loud it seemed to crash against the far wall of the auditorium. Even his gait had changed to a purposeful strut so different from his usual indolent saunter. Suddenly this was not Kakashi down there on the stage but another man entirely, a character whose name Madara sorely regretted not listening for, someone who merely happened to share a face with his beloved.
If the costume design didn’t make it obvious that Kakashi was playing a villain then his dialogue certainly finished the job. He swept from one end of their set to the other spitting insults and snappy one liners and Madara was positive even without looking that all eyes were locked on his boyfriend. And with good reason; he was captivating.
Near the end of their first scene the hero character of the play fell to his knees and begged Kakashi to have mercy, although Madara had been way too bored at first and then way too distracted now to pay attention to why mercy was needed. Watching Kakashi sweep his arms out wide was much more entertaining and only more so when he tossed his head back to expose the long line of his pale neck.
And then he began to laugh.
But not just any laugh. Madara had never heard anyone do an evil cackle outside of Disney movies and he had certainly never been aroused by one before yet there he was slouching back down in the seat and shoving both hands in the pocket of his hoodie to push them down and cover up the sudden bulge in his jeans. This was hardly the first time Kakashi had turned him on with his voice alone but getting aroused by a laugh was kind of new. Something about that deep, sonorous cackle put Madara in mind of a man in control, a man who cared only for his own agenda, and for whatever reason that really did it for him.
Paying attention to the rest of the play was in one respect the easiest thing in the world yet in another respect it was one of the hardest things he had ever asked himself to do. It was easy enough to keep his eyes on Kakashi and wait with baited breath for the next burst of evil laughter, each one making him push deeper in to his sweater pocket and hoping none of his seat neighbors noticed the burgeoning erection. On the other hand it was extremely difficult forcing himself to sit still and pay attention whenever Kakashi was not on the stage. His mind stayed painfully focused on all the dirty images that doubled and tripled each time Kakashi gave vent to another round of deliciously callous laughter.
By the end of the play Madara was nothing short of desperate. Every time Kakashi spoke another line of dialogue he could feel his blood boiling under his skin and he found himself both dreading and praying for another cackle. Unfortunately when the heroes finally began to triumph over him there was little for his character to laugh about and Madara was left rock hard in the middle of the audience hoping there was no one he knew here tonight.
Finally all the actors were taking their bows and the second the lights came back on Madara was shoving his way rudely down the line, completely uncaring of the people who muttered obscenities at his back. He spilled out in to the aisle and hoped the thick crowds were enough cover to prevent anyone from looking down to see the bulge in the front of his pants. Even someone as socially bullheaded as him didn’t want to be caught waving his dick around in public – although if he was he would happily blame this on Kakashi.
Speaking of whom, his boyfriend must have given someone his description because Madara encountered no resistance when he stormed his way towards the backstage entrance despite obviously being spotted by several security guards. Either they knew who he was going to see or they needed to be fired from their jobs. Whatever the case was, it made finding Kakashi a lot easier so Madara didn’t see any reason to speak up about it just yet. He had better things to do, like finding his partner and demanding an explanation for why he had just been tortured with an hour and half of insistent erections and fantasies of submitting to a villain in a sweeping black costume.
And maybe that backstage fun he’d been promised. That was also on the list of demands.
Kakashi looked neither surprised to see him nor worried about the deep furrow between his brows. Rather than quake with fear in the face of an Uchiha temper he merely smiled in a languid manner and gave a perfunctory wave before continuing on the conversation he was having with one of his costars. Madara scowled even deeper. After all the trouble he’d been put through he thought he deserved a little more than just one quick dismissive wave and then being left to stand awkwardly just inside the doorway as he tried to figure out whether he was even allowed to push farther in to the crowded dressing room.
Several minutes passed before his partner deigned to give him the time of day but if he had expected some kind of loving greeting or maybe a groveling apology for putting him in to the situation he was currently suffering through then he was destined for disappointment. Kakashi flashed him another smile on the way by as he squeezed out the door and called back over his shoulder for Madara to follow him like he was calling for one of his dogs. If it wouldn’t be so awkward to stand here in a room of half-dressed strangers Madara would have made a point not to answer. As it was, he trotted after his partner posthaste when he noticed another young man eyeing him head to toe. The hardness in his pants belonged to no one but the asshole that had just wandered away from him.
Actors and stagehands and producers all bustled to and fro in the back hallways as they congratulated each other on a successful opening night and organized a reset of the stage for tomorrow. Kakashi weaved in and out of his coworkers with practiced ease while Madara stumped along behind him and frowned darkly until people jumped out of his way. It felt like they walked forever and the halls had gone silent and still around then long before finally Kakashi waved him in to a room that must have been on the far side of the building from the actual theatre area.
“Where are we?” Madara asked, squinting in to the darkness.
“Does it matter?” Kakashi purred from just behind him. “We’re alone and that’s all you need to know.”
The next thing he knew Madara had been pushed up against something that might have been a wall or a set of sturdy cabinets with the length of Kakashi’s body pressing in to him from behind, a most welcome warmth.
“Okay,” he mumbled, grinding forward against the surface in front of him. “I like where this is going.”
“I did promise you something after the show,” Kakashi reminded him.
“Am I allowed to, ah, make a request?”
“You certainly have my attention.”
Madara swallowed down the tattered remains of his pride and closed his eyes even though it was already dark wherever they were. “I…enjoyed your character more than I thought I would.”
“Did you now?”
“I don’t suppose – you don’t have to – but if you wanted to could you maybe – look if you tell anyone about this I will bury you somewhere they will never find your pieces! But, uh, could you maybe talk like that? While we do this? I found your character very…”
“Sexy?” Kakashi suggested in a low voice.
“Captivating,” Madara breathed in return.
Hands with a strong grip that always surprised him took hold of his hips and pressed him harder against the wall. Teeth scraped against the skin on one side of his neck and his breath hitched as he thanked his lucky stars for having the forethought to throw his hair up in to a braid that morning. When Kakashi spoke his words came out in a rumbling baritone that echoed in the otherwise empty room and sent shivers down to the very core of Madara's being.
“It looks to me like you’ve found yourself caught in a trap, little mouse. Whatever will you offer me for your freedom?” The way he spoke with such confidence left little doubt that he expected Madara would offer him something and that he would have no problem refusing if he was not pleased by it.
“You can have my body,” he said without thinking. “However you want it!”
“Now there’s an interesting offer. How very many ways I could have you, use you for my own pleasure. But how to choose?” Kakashi hummed against the skin of his neck as though deep in thought and Madara squirmed until the hands on his hips tightened to keep him in place.
Since he had already thrown dignity to the wind and since the lack of light meant he wouldn’t have to meet the other man’s eyes Madara figured he might as well go all in and ask for what he really wanted. “Can you just do…do that laugh one more time? Like before? Please don’t ask why.”
By the dark chuckle that picked up immediately he could tell that Kakashi already knew why he was asking.
Slowly, gradually, the quiet chuckle built in a steady crescendo until Madara was pinned to the wall while Kakashi laughed behind him like some maniacal genius about to unveil his evil masterplan. It was weird and new and so hot that Madara began trying to squirm again. He only realized his mistake when all sound from his partner cut off abruptly. There was just enough time for anticipation to bubble up in his gut before teeth sank in to the side of his neck to make him gasp harshly.
“I thought it was clear that you were not to move,” Kakashi snarled in that strangely attractive voice. “You were the one who offered me ‘whatever I want’ and what I want is for you…to obey.”
“Oh gods yes.” Madara dropped his head forward and moaned with want.
Then he moaned again when he felt elegant fingers sliding around to undo the button on his jeans.
“Listen to me very carefully right now. You are going to place your hands flat against the wall and brace your legs. After that you are forbidden from moving unless I give you permission to do so. You may speak but only if it is to tell me how incredible I’m making you feel, do you understand?” As he spoke Kakashi slowly dragged the zipper of Madara's fly down and dipped his fingers inside to stroke the hardness he found there.
“I understand,” Madara breathed.
“Good. Then take your position. I’m going to use your body for my own pleasure; if you please me well enough then I may let you come too. Perhaps.”
With a barely contained whimper of arousal Madara split his weight between both hands and set his legs far enough apart to give Kakashi room but also close enough together to let his pants fall down as much as necessary for what he knew was about to happen. Sure enough, as soon as he was in position Kakashi was pulling at his jeans, fingers sliding in around his waistband and pulling until the material slid down his thighs in an erotic caress that denim should not be capable of.
Madara had no idea what Kakashi had in his pocket that could be used as lube, possibly something from the makeup bag he kept in his dressing room, but whatever it was it made a smooth glide as two fingers teased at the entrance exposed to them. He was given neither warning nor time to brace himself before the tip of one finger slid in and pressed deeper than he might have expected it to if they were at home where Kakashi was usually much more cautious than he actually needed to be. The surprise of it pulled a startled moan up from the base of his throat.
Stretching him out didn’t take very much time at all, excellent control of his own body usually saw to that easily enough, but it seemed Kakashi was in no mood to be merciful. He waited several minutes past the point when Madara had begun to mumble filthy praises about how good it felt to have three fingers curling inside of him and how much he wanted more before finally pulling away to open his own clothing. The sound of a zipper descending had Madara shivering and dropping his head down between him arms, giving thanks to every god he knew that he would finally get what he had been on the verge of begging for.
Then he was foiled again when instead of pressing inside him Kakashi lined his cock up against Madara's slick hole and merely rutted against it like the giant fucking tease he was.
“I am not saying please,” Madara growled with less conviction than he’d been hoping to convey, almost ready to end their play with his own hand if it was needed. Laughter sounded from behind him and he moaned helplessly. The bastard knew exactly how he would respond to such teasing; he had definitely planned that!
“Say whatever you like, darling. I’m going to have you either way.”
Pulling his hips just far enough away to give himself room, Kakashi lined up and pushed forward until Madara was scrabbling at the wall and spitting profanity from between his clenched teeth. He refused to move, however. Kakashi had told him not to and if it was that voice asking he would do almost anything he’d been told – within reason, of course. A man was allowed to have his pride.
Already worked up from sitting through the last two thirds of that stupid play with his cock pressed out painfully against the front of his jeans, Madara could tell from the first punishing thrust that he was not going to last long at all. If the universe had any kindness for him then Kakashi would not insist on drawing this out because he could feel his balls pulling up tight in just a couple of minutes. Still in character, his lover had thrown out any semblance of his usual lazy hip rolls and instead had taken a firm grip on Madara's waist to brace them both as he rocked forward each time with almost vicious purpose. An interesting change of pace to say the least.
“Fuck–” The sudden exclamation under Kakashi’s breath startled him and kept him distracted enough that he didn’t notice one hand leaving his skin until it was pulling on the end of his hair like a leash. “You feel so good, so tight. Shit I’m already close. Will you come for me, darling? Go on, touch yourself, let me feel you come while I use your body.”
“Oh god,” Madara whined under his breath, one hand sliding downwards obediently.
“That’s it, fuck, you’re already so tight. I want to feel how tight you are when you’re coming around my cock.”
“Oh god.”
It was hard to remember the last time Kakashi had indulged him in a little dirty talk, not being much of a talker off stage. A dark growl from behind him and another sharp tug on the ends of his hair were all he needed to tumble over the edge with a choked cry, his body clamping down as Kakashi had wanted, and he was treated to the sound of his partner groaning shamelessly as he too gave in to the intensity of the pleasure between them.
He could almost feel Kakashi breaking character as they both collapsed forward against the wall, panting for air. The fingers in his hair released their pull and began to gently pet through his messy bangs as best as they could until Madara was almost ready to purr under the sensation. A little bit of tender affection in the aftermath had never hurt anybody – as long as no one but Kakashi ever found out about it. There was no need for anyone else but his partner to know he had anything even close to resembling a soft side.
“So…that was hot,” Kakashi mumbled against the back of his shoulder.
“Your performance was very good,” Madara told him honestly. “If your characters are usually like that I might be convinced to come see another one of your plays.”
“I would like that.”
Warm lips pressed a soft kiss against the side of his neck and then there were teeth nibbling on his ear, causing Madara's words to come out a little breathier than he intended. “You, er, I wouldn’t mind it if you used that voice again sometimes at home.”
“Maa, I’ll keep that in mind. Shall we get cleaned up?”
“Do you…have anything to clean up with?”
For a few moments they were both silent and then he heard Kakashi very quietly say, “Ah crap.”
When they got home Madara was either going to jump him again or kill him for this and which one he chose would be determined by how quickly the man could run to find him something to wipe down with – and by whether or not someone found him in this embarrassing state. The next time he got aroused watching Kakashi on stage he would definitely be waiting to until they were in a safer place to show his appreciation no matter how insistent his erection was.
Or no matter how hot Kakashi was when he threw his head back to laugh like the evil maniac that Madara just knew was buried deep under that deceptively mild grin of his.

you should rate the arcs. share your wisdom with us. (or rank them by craziness /wtf moments)
ok i think rating them is easier than ranking them i can add craziness as a category alright alright
ok this ended up being nightmarishly long so im just putting it all under the cut for anyone who feels like reading giant blocks of text on my opinions on every single naruto arc
land of waves - classic very good i genuinely wish there could have been more arcs like it to show team 7 really bonding and growing together before sasuke ends up feeling alienated its got a really sweet touching story and naruto and sasukes relationship starts off already at a pretty high level of crazy like oh yeah right out of the gate they are trying to die for each other this can only get crazier from here i would have probably liked it more if id read the manga first because the anime murders the pacing of the fights here but overall i do really like it
chuunin exams - i love lots of chunks of it but it did really feel like a slog to get through parts of the forest of death and a lot of the more minor fights because kishimotos really just not very good at writing fights that he doesnt put his absolute most effort into i really love how the anime added to the part where sasuke gets the curse mark and how naruto is separated from him its really emotional and strong sakura actually feels like shes trying to become a character here i love her fight with ino and cutting off her hair legendary and im not a monster gaara vs rock lee still makes me scream the craziness of this arc is actually finally not riding on sasuke being crazy finally gaaras carrying the craziness hello blood drinking 12 year old i hope you get better soon
konoha crush since i guess its a different arc - ok i actually really love all the weird political stuff kinda added in here the hints at some actually interesting village conflict i wish thats what the ninja war arc could have built from and orochimarus definitely the most comprehensible villain in the story and i love naruto vs gaara so much like thats really peak and tbh extremely satisfying to watch the shitty old bitch hokage kick the bucket like killing gaaras evil dad and hiruzen really was the best thing orochimarus done finally gaara has more help with craziness cuz narutos losing his mind too and sasukes getting some crazy seeds planted for later craziness harvest
search for tsunade - i feel like i really like this arc but when i actually read it im like hmm theres all these parts i dont like but i really love all the character stuff itachis introduction is iconic and i really do love tsunade and her fighting orochimaru was like highlight of everything its weird i dont have a lot to say but i do actually like this arc a lot in a way im like not sure why craziness is kinda low except for sasuke whos absolutely losing his entire mind which stresses me out so much and this is where i start getting extremely sad about sasuke
sasuke recovery mission - 80% of it is the absolute worst part of part 1 and 20% of it is the absolute best part of part 1 like this is really where all the warning signs of quality dropping and like kishimotos lack of skill writing fights really really starts to show like really all those fights do is kill the emotional thread running from the hospital fight, sasukes goodbye to sakura and sasuke and narutos fight which are like the best things hes ever written the craziness is turned up as high as it can get the emotional stakes and pain and love are also so high this is peak naruto if we just pretend the fights against the sound 4 never happened just skip them
kazekage rescue mission - this is where all the omens from sasuke recovery mission and the quality drop really like finally start meaning something because really this arc SHOULD be good and its like really really good in certain places like any time naruto and gaara are talking thats just love right there and all those moments really make it almost worth it except that kishimoto really took such a nose dive on understanding how to pace fights the parts that dont have gaara and naruto gazing tenderly at each other feel like pulling teeth like sasori vs sakura really should be absolute peak and its got some truly fantastic moments but it just goes on for so long i feel like im gonna die before sasori ever does that fight could have given us womens rights and the craziness is really high like naruto is just losing his mind about gaara and sakura killed a man with her bare fists
tenchi bridge - oh the love its palpable here and so is the craziness like naruto going to 4 tails because orochimaru just says a few things about sasuke like wow and their whole reunion is so good the passion and weird emotional issues all coming to the surface i love yamato here hes a fun guy and i really like the new team 7 dynamics they are fun i like lots of parts of it but i cant think of anything else to say its what it says on the tin emotional sauske and naruto reunion
akatsuki suppression mission - alright full disclosure i fucking love this arc this arc is the reason i sometimes throw my brain right out of my head and start talking about how much i love shikamaru i prefer all the emotional moments in the anime a lot it felt very rushed in the manga and like that whole episode of team ten processing their grief was so good but god im so so mad that only shikamaru got to have a big important fight like ino and choji should have been helping equally and i really really hate the fight with kakuzu its just more badly paced bullshit for kakashi and naruto to get to be super op when this was supposed to be a bonding moment for team ten this is a little crazy but its team 10 crazy not team 7 crazy which means they are still pretty normal well adjusted people with brains in their heads who are just having a moment
itachi pursuit mission - sasuke killing orochimaru really was so incredibly perfect and forming taka? this arc is about gay rights uum its really short so i dont have the most thoughts but yeah sasukes like maybe at his least crazy until the end of the story like hes got a real concrete plan find gay friends and kill his brother but hes really got a big storm coming
tale of jiraiya the gallant - i really do not like jiraiya all that much hes just boring and weird but i love the chunks of rain trio backstory we get they are really the last bit of complete villain characters we are gonna get very tragic idk the fight is like alright for this stage of naruto but it still lasts too long and pains powers still make no fucking sense and feel just too overpowered you know also zero crazy which is very disappointing all naruto arcs should have crazy
pain fight - ive got lots of conflicted feelings like the fights not very compelling at first because genuinely the pain bodies are just too strong its very weird and narutos got this big power up which is what it is i really love pain as a villain like hes literally right about everything hes saying but it has to be bizarrely undercut by just bonding awkwardly about jiraiya and yeah theres some very cool battle moments theres some good shit in there but long drawn out battles arent exactly my thing but naruto going 8 tails was still pretty fucking cool and god it was such a cop out that everyone came back to life at the end COWARD KISHIMOTO
kage summit - the one the only kage summit absolute peak craziness like sasuke trying to take down the entire world government thats absolutely iconic i love him for it so much narutos having his own melt down about sasuke sakuras decided she doesnt actually need a brain anymore and has also lost her whole fucking mind in the whirlwind of chaos like this arc feels like an anxiety attack at some points but god do i love it naruto and sasukes whole confrontation is absolutely peak ill bear the burden of your hatred and die with you?? the love the tragedy this is truly peak gay drama thats really like hes planning a lovers suicide and we are all just along for this crazy fucking ride love it
war arc - how did we go from kage summit to this like kage summit felt like it was maybe actually going somewhere but the quality drop is just like an elevator was cut and we are now all speeding to crash at rock bottom here what the fuck happened why was this written why is it literally 1/3 of all of naruto why has god abandoned us itachi and sasukes reunion was very good and needed i loved all the parts with hashirama and madara and really for one sweet moment it seemed like madara might just be a dumb sexy villain who just wrecks shit until all that spiraled down into garbage if i think about obito for too long i start to go crazy thats the real craziness of war arc is how fucking stupid it is and that is making everyone whos ever read or seen it go crazy right along with it
wiki is telling me the kaguya bit is its own arc so lets go with that - ok kaguya fight is pretty cool im into it to a certain extent her weird portal powers are fun i like that but thats really not what we are here for now are we no we are here for the conclusion to 15 years worth of crazy we are here for sasukes final massive lose his mind time and naruto to go right along with him the love and the tragedy but the hope it offers as well love was really invented by the second valley of the end fight and the anime said gay rights and made it the prettiest thing you will ever look at and also adding all the extra tender moments between them like this is it this is why you watch naruto you watch it all for this and god do we love it but wow the trying to be serious stuff about hokage really is so fucking stupid lets pretend that never happened
wow i really just typed that all out shout out to u 2 loyal fans who read all this shit i guess it was only a matter of time before i wrote something this long and stupid see i do actually like naruto i feel like i couldnt really hit the balance of complaining or praising so idk it might sound more positive or more negative than i actually am but there are really some good parts yes i watched the whole war arc no you shouldnt

How would you rate your favorite to least favorite arcs or Naruto, Shippuden and Boruto?
(Note: I’m only gonna be ranking the canon arcs so the filler arcs like the Land of Tea Arc, the Chikara Arc, the Kakashi Anbu fillers won’t be used!!)
Naruto:
Sasuke Retrieval Arc
Chunin Exams Arc-Invastion of Konoha Arc
Land of Waves Arc
Search for Tsunade Arc
Although....if I’m being perfecly honest, there weren’t any arcs in the original Naruto I disliked or found boring.
Naruto Shippuden:
Invasion of Pain Arc
Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant Arc-Fated Battle Between Brothers Arc (Tied for Jiraiya’s death as well as Sasuke and Itachi’s battle!!)
Itachi Pursuit Arc (If only for the introduction of Taka!)
Five Kage Summit Arc (Evil Sasuke was BEAUTIFUL!!)
Naruto vs Sasuke Final Arc (I know their final fight was listed under the Kaguya Strikes back arc but for me that arc ended as soon as she was sealed and so it will be treated as a separate arc to me.)
Confining the Jinchuuriki Arc
Kazekage Rescue Arc
Sasuke and Sai Arc
Hidan and Kakuzu Arc (Kakuzu’s death was SO BS)
Fourth Great Ninja War Arc (Only reason it’s not rated lower is because of Madara who I will ALWAYS argue WAS the Fourth Great Ninja War!!)
Kaguya Otsutsuki Strikes Arc (Kaguya and Black Zetsu were shitty villains, nuff said)
Boruto:
Time Slip Arc (Seeing Jiraiya again and hearing the OG Naruto music again were treats in of themselves!!)
Kawaki Arc (NO spoilers for those who don’t read the manga but shit is really getting real!!)
Versus Momoshiki Arc (Episode 65 is in my TOP FIVE Favorite fights!!)
Ao Arc (It was nice seeing Ao again and seeing his about face shift in characterization)
Naruto Gaiden Arc (Hey the anime really outdone themselves with Sakura and Shin’s fight! Still hate him and the shins though….XP)
Mujina Bandit Arc (For the first “original” Boruto arc, it was relatively entertaining.)
Jugo Arc (Anything to see Taka again!!)
One Tail Escort Arc (Himawari and Shukaku, Nuff Said!)
Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc (I enjoyed seeing Mirai!)
Parent and Child Day Arc (The Sasuke episode was HILARIOUS!! XD)
Academy Entrance Arc (It was a cute, light-hearted entrance to a new Naruto series!)
School Trip Arc (Kaugra was a BAMF!!)
Graduation Exams Arc (Kakashi was a badass like always)
Byakuya Gang Arc (Meh.)
Mitsuki Arc (It started off nice but oh my GOD did it drag!!!)
Chocho Arc (It’s Chocho, nuff said.)

dontgrowupokay replied to your post :Please please please tell me your thoughts on the...
The whole war arc was pointless. Boring. I mean, it was nice at first, but it got so dragged out and with such looooong fights and crazy popping villains, that… I mean, c'mon, Kaguya? Where did she come from? Totally wrecked the ending of the arc. And the whole prophecy thing… Naruto is great because he’s a nobody who worked hard and earned everything he’s got. The moment you make him the Chosen One, it settles that feeling of “meant to be”.  That he was born for that. It destroys the whole message of hard work. I’m tired of chosen ones, can’t someone just be good because they do their best and be a protagonist because they worked for it? Really, the prophecy was my biggest disappoitment.  I feel like it takes away Naruto’s credit, if you get what I mean
tbh. “chosen one” plotlines are kind of a boring way to explain why a character always turns out okay in the end - because they were predestined to win. i personally don’t like the concept of “chosen ones” unless they’re like, for a comedy thing, or being the “chosen one” isn’t something you actually want (e.g. the “chosen one” is destined to lose/suffer). even then, it’s much more interesting to keep the character’s autonomy by making their choices matter, and thus making their ending depend on their choices. once you’re chosen, that’s all moot, because it’s already decided you’re important, and you know you’re going to survive at least to the end of the story, because you’re The Chosen One.
naruto was always a little bit of a chosen one, but he was counter-balanced by suffering because of it. his entire village hated him, his village leader basically abandoned him and only kept him alive out of pity/a favor to his parents, and on top of it he was literally possessed by a demon that burns his skin off every time it takes over.
plus, a lot of his victories weren’t really his. he’s the kind of guy who turns out okay in the end because he overcame his resentment toward others and figured out how to build a support system that’s so large he always has someone around to bail him out. 90% of the imagery in the series focused on how important his friends and found family were to him, especially when paired with his foil, gaara - who ultimately realizes himself as a character not by having a great self-revelation of friendship is magic or whatever, but simply by idolizing naruto and realizing he was lonely in comparison.
that’s what made naruto’s whole character; he’s supposed to be the guy who inspires other, more powerful people to take action, while trying his best to be strong himself in the “right” way (instead of relying on the power naturally gifted to him, which makes him lash out at the people he cares about - so he has to choose between being powerful, and being loved). gaara could probably have killed naruto if he honestly wanted to and had planned it, but by being who he is, naruto got him to start on the path to bettering himself - not being redeemed by naruto, but figuring out he wanted redemption, and being inspired by naruto to seek it out himself (by saving lee, which led to them becoming close friends).
shippuden just took all that and blasted it out its ass. you could kinda glean that naruto had a destiny, but it was more in the “he’s the most narratively right character for the job”. madara is the leader of the akatsuki, who have been torturing and killing all the jinchuuriki. Naruto is a jinchurriki, and the strongest one/last-in-line. madara is who started the whole uchiha family’s path to self-destruction, thus inadvertently creating sasuke’s reason for leaving, and naruto’s entire character motivation. naruto and sasuke teaming up to take him down would be a nice way to wrap up both their individual arcs and their arc as “friends”. madara is a solo-act who built his army with fear and manipulation, naruto built his by just being kind of a good dude and caring about people. madara  was - although not the one i’d have necessarily wanted or expected - a pretty good end villain. as far as rapidfire last-minute villainy goes, he was at least a believable pick.
all the shit in boruto and that “kaguya” crap was honestly just ... i mean, i have no idea where he even pulled that from. who the hell is kaguya? why do we care? it’s treated like a big reveal, as if it makes the whole story make sense, but i think it’s really a bad case of “ruining the magic”. i didn’t need to know what the jinchuuriki are, or where they came from. the universe established had demons, so it could just be assumed they were very powerful demons. i didn’t need a reason for naruto and sasuke’s lives to revolve around each other - we already had a whole goddamn series showing us why they were so drawn to each other (or, more specifically, why naruto’s guilt and rebellious streak pushed him to try and save sasuke no matter what, even when it was more just a pity obligation for somebody to care about sasuke).
it was kishimoto trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends all at once, and it was just sloppy.
