i don't know why people get annoyed at cartoons that start off lighthearted and then do a 180° to drama, i don't know what the issue is, but probably the worst inclusion when people rag on this "trope" is : adventure time.

adventure time's tone shift is gradual, and it sure as hell isn't a random choice that comes from nowhere. the seeds are sown so early on, i remember rewatching the show after finally completing it (very late) and being in awe of how many tiny sideplots and offhanded lore ended up being incredibly important later on.

i cannot imagine where this show would've gone without the expansion of these details. but i, shockingly, see a lot of people say they "wish it would've stayed comedic" or that it "made no sense". i can't even picture what kind of a show they thought or wanted it to be. i also just don't understand the critique of this "trope" at all, because usually it's shows Just Like AT- where it starts off unseeming and fun so you can get to know the characters and setting, but leaves little breadcrumbs of where it's going, and then Explodes into action-adventure-tragedy once you have all the pieces together. off the top of my head, i can't think of a legitimate example of this sort of progression being Out Of Nowhere..

Hi, it seems Mothy posted on twitter that a new album is coming out some time soon, though I didn't see a release date... Using translator, apprently the name is "Restaraunt with Lots of Ingredients" tho im not sure if the name is accurate (Kani for reference 『食材の多い料理店』)

Well, he said he's releasing it at the Magical Mirai 2024 Creator's Market, so depending on where he lives the release date will either be sometime in August or October. I'm guessing August.

Exciting! 11 songs with a 16 page booklet, so hopefully that means we're getting a little bit of story content with it.

And, yeah, that's a good rough translation of the title. I might word it differently with context though.

continuously I ruin or hinder relationships because of my insecurity and skepticism towards others and I literally over analyze everything and assume people just hate me and I end up getting agitated with people for no good reason it just happens repeatedly.
