love the fact that the appeal of deancas is simultaneously “longtime best friends finding peace together” and “nightmare4nightmare.” like yes they DO cook for each other yes they DO grow old together, but also Cas pisses off god and his army on purpose on the regular and Dean cannot communicate to save his life, so when they have a fight Dean goes and kills ghosts about it and then comes back and makes Cas breakfast like nothing happened. not to mention the number of times they’ve canonically tried to kill each other

What do you think depression took from yoongi?

i want to first say that of course, as an outsider looking in, i cannot claim anything i say will be for sure true, but as someone who has been through anxiety and depression, and as someone who has observed bts for over 3 years, i am just going to try to present what i feel like my observations led me to conclude.

like i said before, (and i quote) when he debuted, he was always a little tired looking because of how hard he worked but the thing was, back in 2013-14 he really seemed to me, the happiest. sure, he wasn’t the moodmaker, but he really did enjoy what he did, even though it was hard. 2015 is when i really saw him changing; he was more withdrawn, he didn’t smile much anymore and he sort of gave up at anything he didn’t absolutely have to do. if any of you have heard his mixtape, you’ll know these are the years depression was hardest on him. i don’t want to speak in behalf of his reasons, but i think he felt like his life wasn’t going the way he meant it, that what he did felt like routine than passion. i think the past 1 or 2 years, he’s a new person. i want to say that in a positive way and though it is positive, it’s also sad because i think the depression took a lot of what yoongi used to be. 

when i say his depression ‘took something from him’, it’s based on two main factors; one, his own lyrics and words on his depression (”min yoongi is dead; i killed him - The Last, Agust D mixtape, which implies a part of him, the person he used to be is gone forever) and second, subtle changes i observed. 

before, despite being tired, it seemed to me that yoongi was happy in a rooted and deep way with what goals he was reaching and things he was doing with his life. he was more enthusiastic and willing to participate and overall, he seemed more satisfied. we all know how he completely dissociated and disconnected during depression but afterwards, the ripples and aftershocks of depression have left him seemingly more unbothered about his ‘dreams’, as in he looks like he no longer has the energy (?) to think too deeply as to whether this is the future/result he wanted (he has stated lots of times in 2013-14 interviews that he didn’t expect/never wanted to be an idol) and rather just simply….lets bts’ success and the fruits of his hard work give him results. he does what he has to and enjoys the benefits (that’s why he said he’s rightfully cockier in not! a bad way now) but he doesn’t seem to want to really indulge in analyzing his dreams anymore. sometimes depression makes you develop a thick skin and turn your back on things that you know have been troubling you just so you can move on from it and in that way, the only yoongi i used to know in 2014 is long gone. i sincerely hope he finds his happiness and continues to be content with whatever is anchoring him now and always. again, all this is just my opinion.
