What are the top ten murder attempts ody tried against paris?
(Top five is also fine)
Struggling to come up with a list atm, so have a moment that'd be part of it instead. Inspired by this Game of Thrones scene.
When Odysseus was a boy, he, Polites and Eurylochus once found a bird that had fallen out of its nest. Polites had cradled it in his palms, insisting on returning it to its home and they had agreed. They were boys with all the sweat, energy and scrapes of well-seasoned tree climbers.
They could climb a tree but they neglected to remember that they had no control over nature's elements. A gust of wind, a careless movement, a moment of contact, and the nest tumbled out of the branches. Sticks held together by bird saliva offered the eggs no protection against gravity.
Odysseus looked at Paris, who stood so very close to the edge of his beloved city's walls, the structure taller and stronger than any tree on Ithaca's soils. But his skull.........
He took one step forward.
Would it be hollow? Would he finally get a glimpse of a brain, small as it might be, and its grey matter? Would the ground muffle the sweet melody of Paris' death rattle?
A vine crept up his shin, invisible thorns digging into muscles without drawing blood. He took another step, sole slippery as if stepping on sea foam.
Would he see the white of bone amongst the gorey mess of red? Would his blood seep into every crevice and crack the same way blood drips down an altar? It'd be fitting, considering the labours these damn walls were enduring as of late.
There were hands, countless tapering fingers filled with ichor-strength to the tip of every nail, creeping over his shoulders, his curls, his neck, Behave. Behave little owl, stand down little king, you cannot-
Oh but he will. He will, even if it costs him a leg, his body, his sanity, even if it kills him. He's close enough to smell Paris' nauseating rose perfume and it's enough to overpower the pain of thorns, the pressure of hands.
He need not a gust of wind, only a push. Just one push-
A hand was laid over his shoulder, big, mortal but final.
"We best head back inside, lest they have archers." Hector said.
Paris turned around, a tension he hadn't been aware of leaving his shoulders. "Yes, lets."
He reaches out to wrap an arm around his prize's waist but Hector shoots him a stern glare. His pious brother dared not dig his fingers into Odysseus' shoulder, lest he sullies the flesh of a mortal owned by Aphrodite, but his hand is heavy with warning.
Paris frowns but returns inside without a fuss.
Hector's anchor-like hand remains on Odysseus' shoulder until he's returned to his and Paris' rooms.

miraculous world: new york asks the bold question: what if batman and superman were lesbian married with children
#not what i was expecting from a miraculous ladybug special about goin to nyc babyyyy goin to nyc but yk what#based. hell yeah#actually a big part of me not expecting that was bc i um. didn't know those superheroes were real in universe#the show kinda treats it like paris is the Only city with supervillain v superhero stuff happening#which im sure makes tourism interesting#and like there was a part of me thinking there's gotta be more elsewhere but like. there's only so many miraculous#and they act as if the peacock and butterfly miraculous are the only ones missing#and then how else would superheroes get their powers#apparently the answer is 'other kinds of magic are real' which like. yeah okay why not#there's actually a lot going on with this one#i feel like adrien doesn't get to have like.. major fuckup and/or liar revealed plots like marinette does#(at least not as often) and this one having such consequence is like. crazy#also why was like. most of the female cast's voices lower pitched than normal. it seems like they#go back to normal in season 4 so like. why#also much like with master fu there's a like.. ethnic mysticism implication to tying the miraculous to indigenous americans#im not really the person who should be expounding but it was smth i noticed#especially with like.. the implication that The Historical Figure m. de lafayette either stole or was given the eagle miraculous#possibly to help the americans during the revolution and i just don't even know where to start there#what else. oh i love seeing the usa as depicted by non-usa ppl it's always so interesting to see what they hone in on#there's that scene where sparrow(? i think) calls the bus full of french kids 'little croissants' and like#at first i was like 'if i was french i would start hitting ppl if they called me that' and then i was like#yk what if i was on a field trip abroad and i found out our guides or whatever were calling us like#the little sliders or smth i would think that was really cute. truly the american is sated by the burger#oh while yhis feels mean to say i was a little stoked at seeing adrien accidentally use his cataclysm on someone#like poor eon/aoen(?) but ik they weren't gonna kill her and also ive been wondering about it for like the whole show#i mean yhe answer of what if is more or less 'theyd die' but it was a bold choice to do at all. like shit. damn even#i liked the side characters they introduced. i think jess and eon/aeon were fun and OH I FORGOT I LOVED THE FUCKING.#HOT DOG CART SUPERHERO??? HIS POWER IS THAT HE RULES AND GIVES PPL MAGIC NOVELTY HOT DOGS???? AWESOME#sorry im realizing i have thoughts about the show at large to spill since ive been avoiding posting about it#but im out of tags aghhh also the drama kinda got to me bc i upset myself around that point so i was like guhh adrien KILLED PARIS.. noooo..

He jerked his head up when the door opened and a woman stepped inside, a stack of case files under one arm.
A stack. Not just one. A stack of all of the worst things Kay had ever done. A paper trail that proved it.
“Mr. Aeon Edwards?” she asked, putting the files on the table. “My name’s Chloe Lévesque, I’m with Blue Lyre Law.”
“Yeah – uh – that’s right,” Kay half stood up to greet her. Then aborted the movement. “I know you.”
“You do?” Chloe asked as she sat down.
“Yeah – he – uh – my dad mentioned you worked on my case before. A while back – but it wasn’t like this. I’m sorry – you’re the only attorney I know so…” Kay trailed off. Wrung his hands. “I haven’t – this isn’t something I’ve done before.”
“No, I remember you. Petty theft and underage drinking in 2010? Then arson the year afterwards?”
“Yeah,” Kay smiled faintly. “You got me off and got my record wiped.”
“That wasn’t me, I was still an admin intern.”
“And I don’t think this is going to be as easy as that was,” he mumbled, gaze shifting to the pile of files on the desk. “You’re not winning this case.”
“You seem certain of that, can I ask why?”
“I’m giving a full confession. To everything they’re accusing me of.”
“The evidence in some of these cases is extremely circumstantial.”
“I – uh – haven’t really seen them. They gave me a long list of charges, but I don’t know the – uh –” he searched for the right wording. “The grounds of the warrants.”
“We can go through all of that first, if you’d like?
“Yeah…”
“Okay. So, Mr. Edwards –”
“Kay,” he corrected.
“Kay. The main charges against you are six of first degree murder and three of kidnapping. That’s already a hefty list, without getting into misdemeanor level crimes and additional charges. Are you telling me that you committed all of those crimes as a lone participant and wish to confess to everything within these files, without even reading them?”
“I – maybe?”
“Maybe isn’t a yes.”
“It’s not,” he agreed. “But I deserve to do the time.”
“I’ll admit, I haven’t read all of these case files, but I’ve looked over them all. Why don’t you lead this? Tell me where you want to start with everything?”
“But – but I took part in all of these,” he gestured towards the files. “Why are you asking me where I want to start?”
“That’s the Marshals’ jobs. Or the police. Or the FBI. Wherever your case lands. My job is to listen to you and get your side, then to help you get the best deal you can.”
“But I killed two people!” Kay raised his voice. Just slightly. Just enough.
“That’s strange, because I have the files for six murder victims here.”
Kay slouched forward and put his head in his hands, giving his head a quick shake before he spoke downwards. Towards the metal surface.
“No – I – not like that. I – I was there. They – that many people might not have died if I wasn’t there.”
“So someone else was in the room with you?”
“I’ll confess to all of the murders.”
“Kay. Look at me. If you can give me a name, you might get far much more leniency. I can help with that.”
“I don’t deserve leniency.”
“Did you kill those six people?”
“Yes.”
“Out of those six, how many times was someone else present in the room?”
“All of them.”
“How many died as a direct result of injuries inflicted by you?”
“All six.”
“How many died as a result of you deliberately trying to end their lives?”
“Two.”
“Let’s start there, then. Do you mind telling me about one of those?”
“Can… Do you think we can start with less? I – I don’t know if –”
“That’s fine. Why don’t you tell me where we’re starting?”
“There was one. About a year ago. That one – he made me help.”
A pause invited a question.
“Who is ‘he’?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Okay. That’s fine.”
“A year ago was the first time I touched anyone. I – I didn’t want to. From what I can remember, he just told me where to meet him. And a time – and I did.”
Kay fidgeted with the cuffs and paused. Taking just a moment to sift through his thoughts.
“M– He incapacitated the guy – the alarm was broken…” he paused once more as Chloe sorted through the files in front of her and picked one out. “He was just having fun. I guess? Taunting the guy like usual. And he gave me a knife. He – he’d never done that before.”
Kay shook his head sharply. As if trying to clear the memory. Yet, he continued his story regardless. It wouldn’t be the only story he had to recount, nor the last time he had to recall this one.
“He told me to have my own fun, or something. I didn’t want to, but I couldn’t tell him that. I remember he was asking me about the arteries. Which ones I might hit. It was like a twisted biology class.”
“It sounds bad,” Chloe agreed. “How far did you go?”
“One cut. Five or six inches. Medial and diagonally, going distal. Superficial.” Kay reverted back to his clinical approach. “The guy – he was begging me to stop. I couldn’t listen to him. I – I didn’t feel guilty. But he was begging. I gave the knife back after that. He had me keep hold of the guy while he slit his throat. Then drilled me on the – on the anatomical reason behind his death. Had me clean myself up and we left. I – I got home and apparently he had some clean up guys come in after us.”
“Do you remember anything else about that night?”
“He landed an elbow right in my ribs. I was hiding the bruises from Paris for weeks.”
“Who’s Paris?”
“My – uh – he’s my ex-boyfriend. But – but you can’t bring him into this. You can’t give the Marshals his name. I – I don’t want him brought into this. Please,” Kay spoke quickly. “I just – he won’t cope. I will give them everything they need. Just – please.”
“Kay, everything you say is covered by attorney-client privilege,” Chloe reassured him. “I can’t promise nobody will speak to him, but I can try.”
“What about a term? I – I don’t talk unless they leave him alone.”
“We could try that.”
“You don’t think it will work.”
“I don’t,” Chloe shook her head. “I think they want more than your confession.”
“They want – they want the guy.”
“The ringleader,” she nodded. “The guy that you keep mentioning.”
“I – no. No. I can’t.”
“Not even if they offer leniency?”
“I – I don’t deserve it. And I can’t. They’ll go after Paris. I’ll take the extra time.”
“It’s a lot of extra time,” Chloe shook her head again. “It’s the difference between you getting out of prison and dying behind bars.”
Kay shrugged and descended into silence. Gaze on the cuffs once again.
“Would you like me to get those taken off?”
“Doesn’t matter,” Kay mumbled. “I should just – can you get an agent in here? I – Can I just get all of this over with?”
“I wouldn’t recommend it. You need some kind of strategy or they’ll pin everything they can on you.”
“I mean… Does it matter?”
“It matters to the victims’ families. They deserve the truth,” Chloe leant forward slightly. “Do you agree with that?”
“So – so I just confess to what I did? And they’re happy? I get all of this over with.”
“They’ll want names. People you were with.”
“I can’t. I mean – I want to. Everyone deserves the closure. I’m too late to fix it.”
“But, what you can do is give them closure.”
Kay gritted his teeth and sat back in the chair. Hands on the table. Wrung together. White knuckle.
“Do I have to talk to them? Can – can’t I just write a confession? Talk about it afterwards. Because I’ll forget parts and – and I want to tell the truth.”
“I can talk to them, I think they might go for it. You will have to talk to them eventually, though.”
“I know – I know that – I just – they need the truth.”
“If you don’t mind me asking, why didn’t you put all of this together before you turned yourself in?”
“I didn’t know I would – I – I must have driven past this place three times yesterday. I just didn’t think I could do it,” Kay shrugged and met Chloe’s eyes, just briefly. “I figured it would just… end when it ended. Maybe that they’d just. Just shoot me. You know? Get it all over with. I’d take the fall for – for everything.”
“I understand that. Thank you for sharing. How do you feel about waiting in here for five minutes, and I will go and talk to an agent about that written confession?”
“Can – can you speak to them here? I don’t – I don’t want to talk to them. But I want to hear the conversation. Is that okay?”
“That’s fine, Kay. Give me a couple of minutes.”
“Thank you. I – I really appreciate this.”
“Don’t worry about it. Five minutes and I’ll be back with someone, is that okay?”
And Kay just nodded. He had all the time in the world.

Why does every aspect of my life keep combining today!? I decided to rewatch Hunchback of Notre Dame(1. The opening and Hellfire constantly haunt me, 2. HOW THE FUCK DID THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS FILM) I digress. I also watched Amadeus today so I'm like, HUH WAIT WDYM TOM HULCE IS IN THIS TOO!? And I don't know how to feel about the fact that I recognize Paris/Notre Dame so well purely bcs I've been playing ac unity every day 😭😭😭
#aghhhhhhhhh im so rambly today ignore me i just wanna talk abt everything and anything#the ac thing is so bad tho i dont know how to feel 😭😭#this movie obv takes place all around notre dame and i keep feeling like. deja vu#hey wait ive climbed up this tower before....ive been in this church before...#but only in my silly video game djjfkfkf#omg they namedropped some location in paris too and im like. i literally could point this out on a map 😭😭#OKAY BUT SERIOUSLY ASIDE FROM THAT I DONT GET HOW THEY GOT AWAY WITH THIS FILM#frollo is so...bro how is he a disney villain 😭😭 how is this a children's movie#its funny my moms like ah i hate that film. but i was playing some clips for her again and shes like fine. its not bad.#but her reasoning was bcs she thought: this isnt for children#but when i watched it as a kid i didnt think that at all. but watching it now im like HOW?!!?!?!?!!.#but that aside i kinda hate the way children's stuff today is soooooo bland and unchallenging#bcs this movie confronts such ADULT ideas but i was literally none the wiser. thus can enjoy it both as a kid and adult#man....frollo is so fascinating. i dont wanna say cool cause hes genuinely sooooooo fucked up#but his design and how he is as a villain is just so cool and im just so shocked they got away w this#i wish kids movies could be this fucked up again LOL#the frollo parts make you forget its even a kids movie 😭#his design tho is it too cliche of me to say he reminds me of a specific habsburg emperor-#also the tom hulce thing i was like YOURE KIDDING what a strange coincidence#catie.rambling.txt

Huh. That sure was a movie.
#red white and royal blue#personal#i saw a tweet yesterday saying that the rwrb movie is an instance of 'gay people deserve bad movies too'#and honestly? yeah theyre right#it was not great 😬#it really felt like the movie only focused on alex and henry#and while i love them as characters and im aware that it is their story#i really wished that they wouldve. u know. shown the other characters#it really felt like they were forgotten abt. like in the book if a character wasnt present in a scene u kinda knew they were around#but in the movie it just felt like other characters didnt exist if they werent around alex and/or henry#nora and bea literally are never in a scene without alex or henry. same thing with pez#(and btw PERCY??? percy??? ur sticking with percy??? no pez? pez didnt roll off the tongue just percy??? fine. ok. whatever)#ellen and oscar going from divorced and on shaky ground (fueling alot of alex's issues and trauma as a result) to married? like what?#they straight up removed actors from this movie. i remember polo morin being casted and him doing interviews#why the sudden removal? what happened?#speaking of removal. it really felt like they forgot to add scenes in bcos the pacing just felt off?#like one minute there would be a scene where nothing is really happening and the next theyre in paris like huh???#how did we get here?#there were just so many little to medium sized issues for me that kinda hindered this for me#im not saying its all bad cos it wasnt. it was a funny enough movie (the comedy both intentional and not was my fav part)#the love scene in paris was really beautiful like holy shit#i liked the performances enough? i dunno abt that one#none of them r bad actors really but tzp isnt really it for me sorry...#he was good in like the comedy scenes (actually he was really good there) but i just couldnt take him seriously during the confession like#i just felt nothing. i feel like thats my basic overall opinion for the movie. i felt nothing. still had fun tho#i watched the movie with my friends and i honestly think that added to it more. this is def a watch with friends and talk kinda movie#my friends knew i had read the book as well so throughout they would ask me questions and i kinda felt excited sharing facts abt the book#alright i need to wrap this up. it was eh. maybe i need to rewatch it without people around? maybe?#it def adds to the fun of it watching the movie with people but i def did miss 1 or 2 things#if u wanna hear more of my thoughts my dms r open. cos man do i have alooooot

"ueueue if you block roads with your protests you give your cause a bad name" what the fuck is even that argument, this is literally the basis of demonstration free speech. It doesn't badly reflect on the cause, it just brings attention to it, which is the point of a protest. the people complaining should be glad people aren't setting things on fire because god knows it would be warranted to do so.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast is one of those characters that is excellent in her source film and just awful in every other piece of media she shows up in. I've seen her portrayed as an enabler, as a doormat, or as a complete moron across various books/games/sequels and it's just incredibly sad.

With JoAnne Fabrics going out of business I feel it is my duty as a cosplayer, historical costumer, and general sewing gremlin to help teach y'all how not to be reliant on evil overpriced mediocre big box stores for fabric and cosplay supply, cause if I catch y'all going into Homophobia Lobby to get cosplay fabrics imma have to start throwing hands. And frankly you guys all deserve better.
- Find a neighborhood full of brown people. Probably a slightly poorer neighborhod. I know, I know, but they will have small independent fabric stores. Selection in each may vary. Hispanic and Caribbean areas will give you prints that EAT. Muslim areas will give you fabrics with amazing drapery. Indian and Southeast Asian areas will give you beading that would make the House of Worth wet with envy. (Try to avoid oldwhitelady quilting stores unless you are a knitter or are specifically trying to cosplay Kirsten Larson.) (Also ask while you're there for lunch/dinner spot recommendations. Your fabric store guy usually has a buddy with a joint nextdoor with the best *insert relevant ethnic food here* you'll ever put in your mouth.)
- DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OWNER OF SAID STORE. This I cannot stress enough. Abdul, my fabric guy, can and will get me whatever I want cause he knows me, knows I bring in other young people, and knows I will be back every month for more. Indie fabric stores tend to have older clients. They are anxious to see faces under 60. Just chat with whoever is in there about the kind of stuff you want and need and they will help you. This also frequently leads to discounts. I have not paid listed price for fabric in years and just walked out of Abdul's with 7~ yards of gorgeous teal satin for 10 bucks. Not a yard. Total.
- Do not be afraid of mess. The best shit comes from stores that look like a hurricane went through them. Don't try to understand the organization. (One day, 4 years into your relationship with the store, suddenly the fabric gods will reveal the knowledge to you.) Again, talk to whoever is in there about your project. They'll help.
- Give up on one stop shopping. Get your crafting supplies elsewhere. Like a small independent hardware store. There's usually an old guy in there that reminds you of an uncle who will also help you.
-Worbla and whatever other Cosplay Specific Material you're using is a fatphobic material straight from Satan's hot taint, you do not need it, and any old hardware/tractor supply dad will help you find better, more durable armor/weapon/detailing material. Don't snub your nose at paper mache and plaster of paris. Venetian Mask makers have been using it for years. Balsa wood is also your friend. Hardware store Uncles will teach you to work with both.
- Elderly people are your bffs. If you see an old person TALK TO THEM. They know how to do all kinds of shit. I know there's a hesitation around old people because of the political climate and a fear that they may be homo/trans/whatever-phobic, but hey....minds are changed by making friends. My elderly Muslim fabric supplier is an Our Flag Means Death fan because of me gushing about the teal I needed for Stede Bonnet. He wishes me happy pride now. He put bolt of rainbow in the window in June and kept it up all summer. And he'd never had a thought about queers before me.
- Don't feel limited to Craft and Fabric stores. Hardware stores are cool. They stock outdoor fabrics and umbrella and furniture covers that are very durable....my first cosplay was made out of patio furniture covers. Also upholstery stores and upholsterers have velvets and damasks and faux leather and real leather and all sorts of rich textures. Most of them will part with a few yards pretty cheap. Second hand sheets and bedspreads and curtains also make some really cool garments. A significant amount of my ren fair garb started as household goods.
- If you are forced to order fabric online, please for the love of all that is holy DO NOT BUY FROM MOOD or any other famous store. You're paying for their branding and their place on certain reality shows I will not mention. Indie is always cheaper for the quality and usually not abusing their workers.
- If the fabric/hobby/hardware/upholstery/etc store you develop a relationship with is inconveniently far from you, see if said owner is willing to take your order via phone and send it to you. You'd be surprised how accommodating people in the crafting and sewing world can be.
It all really comes down to having to form a community. I know finding multiple small stores is a lot less convenient than Joannes. But forming a relationship with a local supplier will, in the long run, yield you much better results AND put money and good back into a community near you.
(And if you're in the NYC area DM me and I'll put you in contact with Abdul. He's the absolute best and I'd do anything to help him and his business grow!!!)

Okay so we have this huge problem with forgetting about everything that’s happened by the time the next election rolls around so I’d like to keep a running list of things as they’re happening to help remind us when the 2026 midterms roll around. And please add to this if I’ve missed anything.
January 2025:
Donald Trump pardoned 1500 people who participated in the insurrection of January 6th, including those who violently assaulted and nearly killed police officers.
Donald Trump has declared that trans and non-binary people don’t exist.
Donald Trump is working towards firing everyone in the government who isn’t loyal to him.
Donald Trump has effectively fired everyone who he claims is an “illegal DEI hire” …whatever that means
Donald Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization
Congress are trying to pass the Laken Riley Act to, effectively, round up every immigrant in the country, including LEGAL immigrants
Donald Trump removed caps on prescription drug prices.
Donald Trump wants to withhold federal aid to help combat the LA wildfires and help the thousands of people who have been displaced and lost their homes.
The Department of Justice has put a hold on all civil rights cases.
Donald Trump has cut off aid to Ukraine.
Laken Riley Act has been passed by Congress and is awaiting being signed into law by the President. Here’s the breakdown of the votes: House Senate
Donald Trump purged a dozen inspectors general from the federal government and intends to replace them all with people loyal to him.
Pete Hegseth has been confirmed as Secretary of Defense. Here’s the breakdown of how the Senate voted. Note, it was a 50-50 tie that JD Vance had to break.
Tumblr media
Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Colombia after the Colombian government turned away two airplanes carrying migrants. Columbia has retaliated by imposing a 25% tariff of its own on US goods.
Donald Trump has also issued a travel ban for Colombian citizens and revoked visas from Colombian migrants coming to the US.
Donald Trump has now backed off the tariffs and other threats against Colombia. Note for future reference: this comes just hours after Trump made the threat in the first place and he and the Colombian president got into a big fight on social media.
Nearly 1,000 migrants were arrested mostly in Chicago on January 26th by ICE and ICE has been told to meet a quota of 75 migrant arrests every day.
Donald Trump rescinded an anti-discrimination executive order from Lyndon B. Johnson
Donald Trump signed an executive order banning trans people from serving in the military and also ordered that people who were discharged for refusing to get mandatory vaccines be reinstated.
Donald Trump has frozen all federal grants to institutions.
After pressure from state governments, activist groups, and the general public, the White House has rolled back some of the freezes on federal funding.
Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) has proposed a change to the 22nd Amendment to allow Donald Trump, specifically, to serve a third term.
Donald Trump is trying to fire all federal employees who don’t want to return to the office (work-from-home saves the federal government millions of taxpayer dollars in overhead). He also sent an email to federal employees saying that if they’re not loyal to him, they’ll be investigated.
Donald Trump has signed the Laken Riley Act into law.
Donald Trump has said he doesn’t think Palestinians should be allowed to return to Gaza but instead should be sent to Egypt and Jordan.
Native Americans have been targeted by ICE raids.
Donald Trump has ordered undocumented immigrants to be sent to Guantanamo Bay
Donald Trump signed an executive order to expand federal funding for school choice programs. [x]
Donald Trump signed an executive order saying that he will deport visa-holding students who protest against Israel. [x]
Donald Trump has blamed DEI for the plane crash that killed 67 people in Washington D. C. [x]
Donald Trump signed an executive order that schools should no longer teach about racism and discrimination. And that schools should only teach history that is “patriotic” [x]
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna wants to add Donald Trump’s face to Mount Rushmore. [x]
Trump’s Department of Education has called book bans a hoax. [x]
The Department of Justice has barred certain news outlets from receiving information from the Pentagon. [x]
The Trump administration has fired multiple FBI officials who investigated the January 6th insurrection. [x]
February-June 2025
I’ll keep adding to this list as new things come up and, again, please feel free to add anything I’ve missed. I know that in this world of constant news it’s easy to forget, so let’s give our future selves a little help!
