Friendly reminder that health isn't a moral subject. The idea that being unhealthy is wrong is ableism plain and simple, despite living a very healthy lifestyle I will never be healthy.
I would love it for everyone to thrive. I do encourage everyone to take care of yourselves. But not because it is right or wrong, not because you're bad if you don't.
I could talk for hours about all the different reasons someone might not take care of themself. Disability, being neglected as a child, personal crisis, financial difficulties, sedentary working conditions, time poorness. But even if someone is completely able bodied, neurotypical, finaically well off, and in the upmost position of privilege. Even them. They aren't doing anything wrong by being unhealthy.
Including. This may be hard for some of you to hear. Including if they're fat. Even if they are fat for no reason other than loving high calorie, 'unhealthy' food.
Your health isn't a topic of morality where you are good or bad. It's no one else's business. You aren't bad for being unhealthy.
#Obviously there are more nuances to this conversation.#I think fat people who are at a weight where it is negatively impacting their health are entitled to education about it without judgement.#In the same way there are things you can do to maintain mobility as you age or as disabilities worsen.#But all of this moral weight placed behind being fat... It doesn't help fat people.#This applies to being unhealthy generally but lets be so fr as someone who used to be fat this shit is targeted at them usually#And the only people who are being hurt* here are themselves. It doesn't affect anyone else.#How can you claim to care about others health while doing things that actively harms the people who are by your standards unhealthy?#*Not every fat person is unhealthy or causing harm to themself. But this post is specifically about people who are unhealthy.#Anyway man the world sucks. Ableism sucks. Fatphobia sucks.#ableism#fatphobia#positivity#body positivity#cripplepunk#cpunk

I think it would be visually interesting if Solas (and Inquisitor if they remove theirs) had actual physical burn marks where vallaslin was. It's a small price to pay to put some narrative weight on removal of a culturally important marking that tends to be sort of overlooked. The narrative isn't putting it into the position where the player understands the weight of it, imo: yes, there are disconnected bits and pieces of lore that can (via fans) be tied into the thought, "vallaslin removal is a physically damaging procedure that cannot be justified for or against on a universal scale but that has undeniable heavy weight on either the doer or their community" that the games do not really say properly.
#🌞#ramblings#It's always annoyed me that if you push your Inquisitor to go through removal with the baldie it has like. 0 weight to it.#I think I at some point said that the potential removal should have been mentioned MUCH earlier. It's not a decision made over 5 seconds.#And Inquisitor had literally zero reason to doubt the importance of their markings or reflect on the past before.#Dalish Inquisitor literally got placed in a situation where they have to make an ultimately impulsive decision... and it isn't until DATV#that Dragon Age actually gives their Dalish character ( r o o m ) to breathe out and figure out how they maintain their history.#So yeah I think a start of it would be to give the player's character a visible scar. I mean 'burned her off his face' and all.#Also I love scars.

wemblectra as a seperate character parodying battery electric trains could be fun. They’re a roller coaster enthusiast because routes bring empty cars uphill/full cars downhill (charging battery through regenerative braking) is a decent application for them. Really good at being lazy because they also make sense for janky commuter railroads that only send each train back and forth once or twice and have them sit around outside of rush hour (it’s a stupid policy but eh battery’s better than diesel idling for hours)
I need to research what Britain is doing with battery locos though since this is mostly based on US (and I think Australia)
#i will maintain that replica electra is direct electric only#it’s much more interesting because so few people get how they work and it’s more politically relevant/important to explore#it’s why i won’t show them recharging. they only have a small battery (like a car) for basic lights/controls#they just become dead weight on non electrified lines unless externally powered#(they can also be coaster enthusiasts because some of them have regenerative braking but the 70s-era engines i ref do not)

I've seen a couple of stories do this now, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also considering making long hair a sign of strong magic in Skysail
In places with a lot of magic use, long hair would be a status symbol, conditioners and tinctures sold with claims to encourage growth. Or perhaps parents carefully trim their children's hair so they aren't pulled away by a school or by court magicians.
Where magic is more feared, a culture of grooming becomes well established, people learning to trim another's hair short like you might learn to sign your name or ride a bike.
Of course, that depends on whether or not a particular world or settlement actually knows about this axiom. And whether or not hair length actually *does* affect magical ability is another question entirely.
#ramblings#Archer writes#Jovian Handmaidens keep their heads covered but part of their dress includes a long fabric train to mimic the appearance of long hair#on a more personal level it would give the start of Sid's arc a lot more weight#taught to maintain his hair only to fail to get into Magic School. he's got nothing to show for it-#-cutting it very short right before leaving. rejecting that life and taking control#only to more slowly and gradually grow it back out as he comes back around to using magic in his own way#i also realize this makes Silence way more intimidating cuz you hear about this INSANELY powerful mage and its hair isn't even chin-length#and i mean ive already established that hair *length* doesnt often tie into gender norms in the setting it's more HOW the hair is styled#people dont see baby ranger Sid's hair and think 'Ah Yes This Is A Man' they say 'dear god what happened to your head'#because he did it himself with scissors not meant for trimming hair and slightly inebriated. but he gets it evened out in the second book

I wish I didn't#I just wish I knew exactly how much trouble I'm 'supposed' to be in and whether I can safely gain#my relationship with my body is already fragile because I hate my bone structure and all this has only made it worse#like come on body I finally have something I want to do and you can't even let me do this. I'm not That big yet why do I have all this shit#I wonder if the weight or the stress is worse for me.#sorry for vent I have nowhere else I could possibly express something like this and have people understand

The Benefits of Green Coffee Extract in Effective Weight Management
The Benefits of Green Coffee Extract in Effective Weight Management
Green coffee bean extract has been one of the highly talked-about subjects when it comes to weight management. Made from unroasted coffee beans, this supplement has a variety of possible benefits for those looking to achieve healthy weight loss. The powerhouse behind green coffee bean extract is chlorogenic acid. Let's delve into how green coffee works for weight loss and how you can start integrating it into your weight management.
What is Green Coffee Bean Extract?
Green coffee bean extract comes from raw, green coffee beans. Unlike roasted beans, which are used to make your cup of coffee every morning, green coffee beans maintain their natural active compounds, majorly chlorogenic acid. This antioxidant is crucial in the weight management benefit associated with green coffee extract.
Green Coffee for Weight Loss: How Does It Work?
Green coffee extract is unique from other weight loss supplements because of its high concentration of chlorogenic acid. This polyphenol is an active molecule that plays several important roles regarding weight management. Here are some of the benefits of green coffee extract: Improves Metabolism: Chlorogenic acid can keep your metabolism going, forcing your body to burn off more calories throughout the day. It's definitely much easier to reach your target in weight loss with a higher metabolic rate; green coffee will make it pretty easy. Reduces Fat Absorption: Green coffee bean extract inhibits fat and carbohydrate absorption. It contains chlorogenic acid, which can contribute to reducing the number of calories your body absorbs. This will lead to a calorie deficit, necessary for healthy weight loss. Acts as Natural Appetite Suppresant: One of the major benefits of green coffee extract is that it acts as a natural appetite suppressant. It regulates cravings and reduces hunger, allowing one to have a normal diet and not overeat in order to stick to the weight management schedule.
Incorporating Green Coffee Extract into Your Routine
Among a number of weight loss supplements available, green coffee bean extract will find its place and can prove to be very useful if taken according to the right means. To fully benefit from green coffee bean extract, you have to ensure that you will invest in a quality supplement with a standardized amount of chlorogenic acid. A daily green coffee extract dosage should be part of an integrated weight loss program.
Foods that Increase Metabolism and Burn Fat
While green coffee extract is good for weight management, a proper diet will ensure that the weight is shed off effectively. Include such foods that increase metabolism and burn fat in your daily diet, like: Lean Proteins: Chicken, fish, and tofu can enhance metabolism due to the fact that it takes more energy to digest. Spicy Foods: Foods containing chili peppers generally have the element of capsaicin that may increase your metabolic rate for a temporary period. Green Tea: A rich antioxidant, green tea enhances fat oxidation and, over time, it will boost your metabolic rate. Whole Grains: Oats and quinoa are the best snacks to maintain your energy level for a longer period and keep you full.
How to Maintain Weight
Weight loss is definitely an accomplishment, but it's much harder to sustain the weight loss afterwards over a period of time. Knowing how to maintain weight is crucial in your weight management journey. Here are a few tips that will help you to keep those extra pounds off: Consistent Exercise: This is the secret to weight management. Aerobic exercises combined with strength training will keep the metabolism working and hence complement the weight management process. Balanced Diet: Go on with your balanced diet comprising a wide range of nutrients. Do not fall into old habits that might raise your weight again. You have to monitor your progress through regularly checking your weight and, when necessary, adjusting your diet or exercise regime. The progress should be recorded so you know you are on the right track either in a journal or using one of many weight management applications. Hydrate Your Body: Hydration is for overall health, but it can also be used as an appetite-controlling method and as a way to increase your metabolism rate.
The Role of Weight Loss Supplements
Green coffee is among many natural weight loss supplements. However, as with any supplement, make sure you consult your healthcare professional before adding this to your routine. Remember, supplements will enhance but not replace your healthy diet and regular exercise routine.
Conclusion
With green coffee extract being a rich supply of chlorogenic acid, it offers a number of benefits for effective weight management. It could help in raising metabolism, reducing fat absorption, and acting as a natural appetite suppressant. But really effective weight management involves much more than supplementation. Nutritional balance, frequent exercise, and changes in life are what create and continue healthy weight loss. Together with green coffee extract and an all-inclusive weight management program, paying due attention to metabolism-boosting foods and fat-burning nutrients, the process can be taken even further for long-lasting success.
Remember that although weight loss supplements like green coffee may also help you reach your goals, the core of any healthily lost weight comes from consistency and a balanced way of living.

how to lose weight with Carb Cycling
Losing weight with carb cycling involves strategically adjusting your carbohydrate intake while maintaining a calorie deficit. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
1. Set Your Goals: Define your weight loss goals and establish a realistic timeframe for achieving them. Consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian to ensure your goals are safe and attainable.
2. Calculate Your Calories: Determine your daily caloric needs for weight loss. You'll need to create a calorie deficit by consuming fewer calories than your body burns. Online calculators or professional guidance can help with this.
3. Plan Your Cycling Schedule: Decide on your carb cycling schedule. Common approaches include alternating between high, moderate, and low-carb days throughout the week. For example, you could have three high-carb days, two moderate-carb days, and two low-carb days.
4. Choose Carb Sources: Select healthy carbohydrate sources for each day. On high-carb days, focus on complex carbs like whole grains, fruits, and starchy vegetables. On low-carb days, prioritize non-starchy vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
5. Monitor Portion Sizes: Be mindful of portion sizes to control calorie intake. Overeating, even on healthier foods, can hinder weight loss progress.
6. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Hydration is important for overall health and can also support weight loss efforts.
7. Include Lean Proteins: Incorporate lean protein sources (such as poultry, fish, lean meats, tofu, and legumes) into your meals. Protein helps with muscle preservation and satiety.
8. Include Healthy Fats: On low-carb days, include sources of healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil to help keep you satisfied.
9. Be Consistent: Consistency is key to success. Stick to your carb cycling plan over time to see results.
10. Monitor Progress: Regularly track your weight, measurements, and how you feel to assess your progress. Adjust your plan if needed based on your results and any feedback from your body.
11. Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how your body responds to different carb levels. Some individuals may feel better with more carbs on high-intensity workout days.
12. Combine with Exercise: Incorporate regular physical activity into your routine. A combination of cardiovascular exercise and strength training can complement your carb cycling plan.
13. Seek Professional Guidance: Consider working with a registered dietitian or nutritionist who can help personalize your carb cycling approach based on your individual needs and preferences.
Remember, carb cycling is just one strategy for weight loss. It's important to find an approach that works for you and fits your lifestyle. Always prioritize balanced nutrition, overall health, and sustainability in your weight loss journey.
