Name: Rook Worne Thorne

Alias: None really. Thorne is what the Kirkwall templars called him. Rook was given by Varric and he considers that his first real name. Worne was given by the Grey Wardens, drabble explanation here.

Gender: Male

Age: 32-34 he isn’t sure of his birthday

Spoken Language: Trade/Common, Dwarvish (He had a lot of Deep Roads duty)

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual - are you a consenting adult? He is keen.

Occupation: He’s been pickpocket, thief, mugger, prisoner and unwilling Grey Warden. He’ll tell you his real occupation is lover and he makes a great bodyguard.

Favorites…

Color: Greens, browns, if Emmrich makes him choose just one at dinner he’s pointing at those eyes.

Entertainment: Reading. Oral story telling, music, board games. Naps. He’d like and be good at offbeat sports like, disc golf, hacky sack, or yo-yo.

Pastime: Gardening. He has a greener thumb than Emmrich. Davrin says it’s because he’s part dirt. Also running. Loves to go on marathon type journeys for the feel of it.

Food: Literally anything. But he has a fondness for beer nuts and crab cakes you’d find at The Hanged Man, no one makes the crab cakes quite the same.

Drink: He’s a water man. Not much of a wine guy makes him sleepy. Enjoys his shitty beer. Polite about tea. Does not need coffee or care of it. And do not give him hard liquors it’s not a fun time for anyone.

Have they…

Passed University: He did not pass kindergarten. Never had a chance for schooling. But he is literate.

Had Sex: Yes. Plenty and more. He loves intimacy, loves pleasure, and he enjoys getting to know people. Enjoys discovering what they might like, slut for anyone that returns such favor.

Had Sex in Public: Weisshaupt is well aware of his ass. Minrathous has seen plenty. And the Necropolis doesn’t know what it’s in for.

Got Tattoos: Yep. He’s got the Kirkwall sigil high mid back between shoulder blades, and a rook chess piece somewhere he’s not telling.

Got Piercings: NO. He would end up hurt, they’re getting torn off somehow and it’s not his fault. A small wip showing why

Got Scarred: Yes. To a ridiculous degree. He’s been through a lot and uses his body as tool when he knows he has a healing mage around. Shivs, arrows, claws, teeth, spears, once a spoon, that was his fault. Those and more of all types have left marks on the scar latticed skin.

Had a Broken Heart: Maybe once. I think the Joining tried crushing it by taking a longtime friend he was warming to. But life has been so fast and violent he never had a chance to experience romance, never had an opportunity to give his heart to be broken. Honestly his heart is probably the strongest muscle in him. But has it been truly vulnerable yet?

Are they…

A Cuddler: One hundred percent yes, he’ll cuddle friends, he’ll sidle up to acquaintances that seem keen. He loves touch. Be it platonic or more sensual. He’d hold a hand forever, would never need encouragement to lean his head on a shoulder or pull someone into a hug.

Scared Easily: Conditional. Majority of the time no. Absolutely not. But he does have a fear of drowning and water. And necromancy. That’s a complicated affair. He kinda likes whatever that ‘fear’ is.

Jealous Easily: Conditional. He’s never had much, and doesn’t desire much. He doesn’t see people as ‘owning’ things how could he be jealous? If he needs it he’ll get it. Before Emmrich he never experienced relationship jealousy. Everything was surface level fwb, one night stand stuff. Once romantically involved with Emmrich he’s realized he’d be veeeeeery jealous if someone tried to take his place. He’s cool with consensual sharing but needs to know he’s foremost or he’s gonna look like a hurt puppy.

Trustworthy: Conditional. Around cheese? No. Sharp objects? Fire? Glass? Also no. But secrets and gossip and having your back? You won’t find better.

Family…

Sibling(s): None. But the Grey Wardens are his siblings. Every warden is considered family to him.

Parents: Dead before he could walk.

Children: Only if we’re counting Manfred. He’s a better uncle than primary parent, way too lenient.

Pets: He wants a griffon. Emmrich has tried explaining why that’s such a bad idea when they live in the Necropolis but the dream lives on and the flock consider him family.

Partner: I ADDED THIS ONE K Emmrich is gonna be family that's his husband right there. Okay they're not married and Emmrich might be accepting a betrothal to some young lady but that's his husband.

Tldr: Uni is kicking my ass, but I'm doing mostly okay otherwise!! Long Vers:

I was in a really bad place throughout October/November, genuinely concerning, so I took a long detox from Tumblr, and quit a lot of Discord servers that were getting to me. Turns out that was half of what I needed [the other half is something else altogether] and it helped me tons!! So if you aren't seeing much of me rn, that's why pffft. I swear it's nothing personal, I just realised I wasn't having fun living anymore and I had to deal with it the only way I knew how.

But I'm doing better now!! Still not much on Tumblr, partly because I'm really busy and partly because I don't want things to get that bad again, but I promise I'm planning on coming back soon. Just gonna let my finals and what not finish up, my semester to end and then I can Breathe again and finally put my life together.

What else, what else....

I've been replaying Persona 5 Royal to make myself feel better, watching this anime called Hyouka-- love it to bits, would highly recommend!! Elle's been playing P5R too so I've been relishing in her reactions. And my other friend, Ember, has also being doing much of the same.

I’ll put myself out there as that ‘problematic’ bitch. I like age gap, I don’t like require it to like a ship or work, but I enjoy mentor/mentee (no pseudoincest thanks) and a few later tropes that compliment it.

Part of a dynamic I like with age gap, older and more world-weary with a younger sunshine especially. Doesn’t have to be age gap, but it kind of weaves its way with regard to what I like about it. I don’t really like characters with similar outlooks or personalities together. I want them to challenge each other. As a fairly world-weary optimist myself it’s nice when both characters can be a reflection to write or enjoy.

Yup. Doesn’t make or break something, but also feeds into the ‘opposites’ trope. I want these bitches fighting over their deeply held beliefs that are the results of their experiences. None of that ‘he looked at me funny and I took it personally for a decade’ shit unless you’re P&P tho.

Harry remembers when Louis had called him in the middle of the night the first time he’d slept with a girl. He had been less than thrilled when Louis crawled into his bed to tell him about it. The memory is vivid echoing in his brain.  “I slept with her,” Louis had said, slipping under Harry’s covers and shifting around to get comfortable. Harry rolled over, his back to Louis. “With who?” “Annie,” Louis whispered.  Harry hardly remembers Annie now. He wonders if Louis does. People don’t tend to forget the person they lost their virginity to. Harry certainly hasn’t. Louis’ breath had been molten against Harry’s neck that night. He remembers resenting the way Louis had stuck his icy toes between Harry’s calves. Not because his toes were cold or because it was late at night, but because of Annie. Because he had slept with Annie, he had feelings for Annie, yet he was there, in Harry’s bed, when it was all said and done. “How was it?” he remembers asking, only to torture himself further. “Fine,” Louis replied in a tone so nonchalant it made Harry's mouth feel like wax. It was somehow worse than had he said it'd been amazing. “Weird. But fine.” “S’that why you’re at my house at 2 am?” he had murmured. “‘Cause you had mediocre sex with a girl? Were you at least nice to her?” And Louis had laughed out loud, pulling Harry close to his chest while Harry’s heart threatened to beat out of his. Harry can still hear it now. The way Louis had said “Harry,” with a chuckle, brushing his hand over his waist, his breath hot on his neck, melting his skin. “I didn’t just leave her stranded alone if that’s what you’re asking. She had to get home,” he said before asking if Harry was mad. “I’m not mad, just tired,” Harry lied.

I'm almost finished with this chapter of one more harvest left to rot, so here we goooo...

He spared a bit of manifestation energy for a piece of chalk- barely a blip on any radar- and began to draw circles on the floor in front of the bed, his focus so intense he didn’t notice that Alastor and Vox were chatting back and forth until he was finished sealing the final rune with a flourish. “- granola wicca shit,” was what he caught from Vox as his attention opened up to include things other than the circle. He frowned and produced a crystal from his pockets- no need to manifest those. There was never a bad time to have crystals on you. “Don’t knock it if it works.” He held the crystal over the runes, letting it circle until it found its rhythm, the runes glowing as Lucifer pushed his intent into them. That silenced the peanut gallery, but Lucifer wasn’t self-assured enough to think it was because they were in any way intrigued or impressed by how cool his workings were. More than likely, they were waiting to see him fall on his face. They existed to humble him. Well, sucks to suck, but this was one of the things he was consistently good at, thank you very much. He might fail as a father, a husband, a king, an archangel, and a functional person period, but he was awesome at magic. The crystal burst with bright light that then immediately dimmed. Lucifer swung it around in different directions until it began to glow brighter when pointed at a southeasternly direction. “Got it.” Alastor burst out laughing. “You made a tracking spell? I could have done that.” “I didn’t see you jumping at the opportunity!” Lucifer spat back.
