Instantly, regret was spread through their bodies. They hated themselves for losing the amount of time that they could have spent with each other, but they only ended up having their eighth year together properly and even then it was cut short. They were battling against the lost time that slipped through their fingers. There was a countdown in the back of their minds, the constant clicking of a clock was waiting for them.
