Vehicle emissions are one of the main sources of outdoor air pollution, particularly in cities. Ambient air pollution alone caused some 4.2 million deaths in 2016, according to the World Health Organization. Transport is also the fastest growing source of fossil-fuel CO2 emissions, the largest contributor to climate change. Let’s bring on change together and forget fossil fuels in transportation - you can also campaign in your city for car-free days, establish car-pools and organise car-free school runs. Heute ist der erste Tag der "How to Help the Planet Challenge" und ich wollte auf jeden Fall mitmachen! Das heutige Thema ist: " Mother Earth- our beautiful Planet". Zugegeben war ich erst etwas überfordert und mir ist bis heute nichts gescheites eingefallen dazu. aBER dann hat mich doch heute die Muse geküsst und habe Mutter Erde wörtlich genommen, nur in anderer Gestalt. . Ich habe Gaia gezeichnet, die in der Griechischen Mythologie die personifizierte Erde darstellt und eine der ersten Gottheiten ist. . . Tag 2 der @howtohelptheplanetweek Tiny tracks – how to lessen your Carbon footprint? [werbung ~ unbezahlt ~ da Namensnennung] Lieber kleine Schritte, als gar keine. Wie wärs mit mehr Fahrrad fahren, den Zug nehmen, von @bad_endorf aus sind @muenchen und Salzburg sehr gut zu erreichen oder geht zu Fuß zum einkaufen anstatt ins Auto zu steigen. . Esst saisonal und kauft regional ein. Saisonkalender sind ganz einfach im Internet zu finden. In @bad_endorf gibts z. B. die @gaertnerei_jolling bei welcher man Genossenschaftsanteile kaufen kann und dann wöchentlich frisches Gemüse bekommt. Außerdem gibt es einen tollen Bauernmarkt mit vielen regionalen Produkten. . Streamt weniger und schaut weniger ins Handy, das ist gut fürs Hirn und spart Energie. Verzichtet auf Weihnachtsbeleuchtung und Solarlampen im Garten -> zum Thema Lichtverschmutzung kann ich euch die #patendernacht ans Herz legen. Das könnt ihr gerne mit @ecosia suchen, mit dieser Suchmaschine könnt ihr ganz einfach Bäume pflanzen.
