-Has been dying her hair different colors since around the middle of freshman year, has been wearing neon stuff since before then

-Parents are divorced, idk which one she lives with. Has an older sister who's in college or is almost done with it

-She's a lesbian, idk how long she's known but she 100% is

-has ADHD, unlike christine she doesn't have extended time on tests or anything because she is not diagnosed

-She's the yearbook editor, she also helps make videos for pep rallies but no one knows it's her

-best hula hooper ever

-She owns a bunch of different nail polishes, she has some glow in the dark ones too

-Used to have a pet fish when she was little and would spend a lot of time just staring at it and telling it her daily events

-She's not super well versed in different animes but she likes a few, specifically Madoka Magica. Jeremy finds this out and as a fellow madoka fan bonds with her over it

-Takes AP Environmental Science and fell down a hole of a bunch of random knowledge of dams. She has a bunch of random facts about animals stored in her brain because of that too

OOOOO ok.

I'm freakishly good at Hula Hooping. Like scarily. I could power cities (or like, a really small village) by perpetually hula-hooping. Just hook me up and watch me go. If the writing thing doesn't work out i might become a professional hooper.

I KNOW! Listen, I wrote a lot of critical theory essays about him and his work at university, his work is arguably the most influential of all time, and he managed to write plays that appealed both the the masses and the royals, at a time when the gap between social classes could not have been wider.

I know he'd probably be a proper knob'ed, but I still want to know how his brain works.

Karen Tiede tells about herself:

"I’m an artist, currently working in recycled fiber. I was a chainsaw carver for a while, and will be again when I can find a place to work where the noise doesn’t bother the neighbors. I knit, and weave, and paint, and write. I teach social media at NCSU’s continuing education division, and run social media campaigns for local businesses.

My husband and I feed six dogs and two cats between us, commuting between Goldsboro and rural NC south of Raleigh. He’s a professional clown, and I’m also a professional hula hooper."

Here her story goes even wilder:

"I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Russian; we lived in Moscow from 1971-74 and it wasn’t too hard to pick up the second major. (Dad was the Assistant Naval Attaché for the Marine Corps; our maid at the time was a KGB agent. Nixon visited halfway through our stay.)

I worked in a lot of different positions, including what we now call fracking chemistry. This part of my life is well-documented in Linkedin. Eventually, I settled at EDS, and took advantage of the steady work to develop my artistic skills.

I’ve been knitting as long as I can remember. My mother taught me; my father never wore store-bought socks. I knit socks in high school, and sweaters in grad school in MA, and then moved south to NC.

I knit lots of lovely wool sweaters: three Fassetts, one elaborate Aran; a tablecloth in crochet cotton that used six miles of thread. I knit shawls. The dog ate one. I gave up on wool clothing in central NC, where the climate only requires wool three months out of the year."

thank you for coming to the carnival to celebrate our label signing and single release with us 🎠 we were surrounded by so many performers who were so much more talented than us, from face painters and balloon artists to tarot readers and hula hoopers. and last but not least, thank you to Keith, our resident sword swallower 🗡️ this was maybe our favorite show to play yet and we had so much fun playing that we may even do it again real soon. we might even be announcing something tomorrow that has to do with playing again real soon. or not... only time will tell...
