the monster high hyperfixation has come crawling back from my childhood in full force ... i can't get this gal out of my head shes just so perfect to me. she's a combo of my two favoritist things: vampires and the color pink !! shes so great !! and i know the g3 designs aren't everyones favorites but draculaura's doll design is just so perfect to me,,, the split dye ... the fact that we have similar body types ... she's so perfect :3

Never before have I wanted this badly to have the ability to make dolls from something other than cloth. I just watched a deep dive on failed doll lines and GOD-

I’m so in love with Novi Stars. I want the ice and fire dolls to kiss and hold hands, and I want the dragon prototype and Doe A Deer to both hang out on my shelf with my blind Barbie. I wish I didn’t have to save up so much money rn, because then I could commission dolls with funky designs. Like-

I have this one character, Arachne Ifantus, who I think would make for a seriously good Monster High doll. Greek, as the name suggests, with olive skin, long, thick, dark indigo hair, long legs, six arms, four neon yellow eyes (one pair in the usual place, then one eye on either of her temples) and pincers in her mouth, plus fangs that drip acid when she gets excited. If I could, I’d absolutely make her into a doll because I think she’d make me happy to have and would make the Hot Topic girlies (gender neutral) go crazy. Black tubetop with the hourglass markings that female black widows have, a leather jacket, sometimes she wears glasses with foggy lenses, and she canonically rides a motorbike and is a SoundCloud rapper lol-

All this to say, if I could make and produce a doll line, I’d do it in a heartbeat and I think I could make some good fucking designs if given a theme to work with. Like, hit me with a theme for a doll design and I’ll try to come up with a fun design to go along with it—if I can work up the motivation anyway XP

I just watched a playthrough of someone playing tlou2, and I can’t stop thinking of a quote I heard from one of the game makers. How Ellie was always just trying to become Joel, and that’s what her downfall was. But when you watch the game, with Abby is so clear that she was the one who succeeded in that. Her and Joel have so many parallels (as do Ellie and Abby) but in the end Abby got to the same conclusion that Joel did, that you keep going for family.

Abby found her new purpose by taking in Yara and Lev, and becoming their new guardian. Which is exactly what Joel did with Ellie. Abby learned that revenge wouldn’t be what saved her, what made her happy, because she got her revenge. And it didn’t work. But Lev did, he saved her, and she saved him, and I think that’s what makes Abby’s story so beautiful to me.
