Oh god I'm dying -- the song that's playing at the end of episode 4 while Deokhee is driving Wanil away in the Rolls Royce Monstrosity Deluxe sounded so cool and Wes Anderson-y that I was sure it was some 60s French crooner or something so I searched the lyrics and ... Vampire Weekend? I like Vampire Weekend and it sounded great! But! 60 year old Korean neurosurgeons with sticks up their asses the size of the Seoul tower don't listen to Vampire Weekend.

This weeks currently watching:

My Golden Blood: I am currently caught up and patiently waiting for episode six to release on Iqiyi

Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist: Caight up, not so patiently waiting for the next episode. It’s so quirky and sweet I’m obsessed

Business as Usual: caught up on it, so far it isn’t hitting right for me, but I figure I can wait it out a bit longer.

Heesu in Class 2: Love it. Absolutely love it, do not want it to end. It’s not going how I would have predicted it to go, at least not exactly, which is so fun for me.

Crushology 101: My partner and I have watched the first two episodes. When one of the main male characters came on screen, my partner recognized him from a different show and immediately started cheering for him. (This is a new development for my partner lol). Personally so far it’s good, but there hasn’t been much to judge in just the first two episodes.

Way back love: what I want to say is “fuck” I thought I was scared to start When Life Gives you Tangerines? Nah, nope, not anymore. This show only has what? 4 episodes out? I’ve cried like a baby each episode istg.

4 week lovers: still going strong. I still love the short episodes, I’m just still upset it’s not all out lol

Shows I have completed this week in addition to catching up on recent releases:

The Heart Killers: not what I was expecting, I don’t know why I was expecting more violence but I’m not mad either. I loved Fadel, he was my favorite. And I’m sure you all will see me reposting more about them soon

Our sky: I won’t lie and say I loved it. To be honest I watched it so i can watch Our Sky 2, don’t hate me lol. I didn’t hate it, it’s just not my favorite.

Enchante: I’m sure you are seeing a pattern here. Forcebook has been my favorite pairing since I started watching Thai bl. I decided to go back and watch everything I can. Enchante was so good and it was weird seeing Aou and Boom not together. Miscommunication is my LEAST favorite trope, but it was worth the watch.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo: My partner and I finished it. I can see what everyone is saying that it was a semi-unsatisfying ending. They could do another season and it would go well I’m almost certain.

What’s next?:

My partner wants to watch Hyperknife. Few issues with this I have. 1) it’s too soon and too different from Extraordinary Attorney Woo that I’m afraid I’ll get whiplash. 2)Our only option to watch it is Dubbed and it feels wrong.

I’ve started them on Strong Girl Bong Soon. I’ve seen it before and not only is it rated a 5 star on my spreadsheet, but it has a little bit of everything to keep my partner interested. It helps that I like both actors so much I’ve gone back to watch their entire filmographies. Park Bo Young is so gorgeous and gives off such a light kind energy I’m obsessed. Park Hyung sik has been the “love of my life” as my partner puts it since I watched Happiness the first time. The two of them are literally my Lock Screen and I’m only a little embarrassed by that.

Personally I’m about to start Our Sky 2, Only Friends, and finally watch Your sky for Us. I wanted to wait until Your Sky for Us was all out for me to enjoy it 😂

Finished Hyperknife and I'll just say, the obsession between Jung Seok and Choi Doekhee really reminds me of Victor and Eli.

I could say that the theme revolves around how Seok and Doekhee are virtually the same people (obsessed with neurosurgery and will do whatever it takes to be in the OR, e.g. murdering, etc.) In turn, that student and mentor relationship becomes strained due to the circumstances that happen in the story and both become obsessed with destroying each other despite caring deeply about one another.

That's what I find so fascinating and similar to evervale. With the fact that both Victor and Eli are the same with the obsession of each other and the need to destroy the one another but there is an inkling of the past where they have once understood each other.

Just a short analysis, it's just very fun to find parallels between different media
