I did have a really hot dream last night and may have a new OC....we'll just have to see. Considering that the 'setting' was basically worldbox, that'd require either a new verse, or repurposing the old god verse which i need to revive anyways-

I honestly don’t understand why people hated Armin or called him useless in season 4. Did they really expect a 19 year old to suddenly solve the world’s problems or suddenly make all the hatred and prejudice go away in an instant? Add that to the fact that Eren really made the situation worse by instigating a war on paradise island which forced the scouts to fight and having no other options except a genocide. The scouts couldn’t really do anything and were forced in a tight spot because Eren and Zeke planning. They expected to Armin to just flatly become a murderer with no second thought. What the hell was Armin suppose to do? What kind of genius tactic that he should’ve thought off that would solve everything?
also I think that if Erwin was alive, he wouldn’t solve anything either. The amount of people thinking that he would support genocide blindly ignoring his guilt and shame that Erwin felt by sacrificing soldiers lives for his dream which ultimately broke him almost near the end just shows the fandom don’t understand shit.
These people never have an answer when you ask what genius solution Erwin could have provided to save Paradis that Armin or Hange, or anyone else, was incapable of dreaming up. It's because there wasn't any clear or obvious solution, and even if there was, Eren and Zeke, as you point out, didn't give them the chance to find it, because they both decided that Paradis itself was expendable and an acceptable sacrifice in the pursuit of their little dreams, for Zeke, the extermination of an entire race of people, and for Eren, the destruction of the whole world. So... yay, I guess. Gotta' love those Yeager brothers.
Blaming Armin, or Hange, or Levi, or anyone for any of what happened is absurd and shows a level of judgmentalism and arrogance that's really hilarious. As if any of these people that whine about it would have found the solution themselves. The only people to blame for what happened to Paradis are Eren, Zeke and the Yeagerists, oh, and Yelena too. Fuck that bitch.
And Erwin never would have supported the Rumbling, and anyone who thinks he would have doesn't have the first clue about who he was as a person or a character. Like you point out, the people that try to claim he would have supported it don't ever want to talk about Erwin's extreme sense of guilt near the end of his life, nor what the source of that guilt is. The Survey Corps' entire purpose, originally, was to fight for humanity. That didn't just extend to the people of Paradis. They just didn't know of the existence of people beyond the walls, but still, it was for humanity that they fought, for humanity's survival that they dedicated their lives. Erwin's guilt was rooted in his belief that he had failed the soldiers who's lives he'd sacrificed for the goal of freeing humanity, because his own, personal dream was what was fueling him all along. So we're meant to believe that Erwin would have gotten over that sense of guilt and failure toward his soldiers, to the point he would betray everything they fought and died for by destroying the very thing they died for? Seriously?
People's stupidity knows no bounds, honestly.

Tumblr media
1 Are you named after anyone?
"No. Some of us… some know their name when they awaken, or quickly find one. I didn't, so eventually someone made a lot of suggestions, and I picked the one I liked most."
2 When was the last time you cried?
"I cannot cry. Not anymore."
It's clear he has no interest in elaborating further.
3 Do you have kids?
"That's not something that's possible."
4 Do you use sarcasm?
"I don't think so? I don't fully understand what that is, but I try to always say what I mean."
5 What's the first thing you notice about people?
"Their voice." He laughs. "That's too easy, isn't it? I don't know. I try to figure out how they move, how they express their emotions, how they behave towards others. It isn't always easy with the other races."
6 What's your eye colour?
"They… they say it's white now."
7 Scary books or happy endings?
"I do not like scary things."
8 Any special talents?
"I'm a good healer." He smiles. "It wasn't easy to learn how to heal humans, but I am glad I did it. I think… I think my magic is different from others'. The way I can feel the energy. And use it." His smile falters. "Life and death shouldn't exist together, yet… here I am."
9 Where were you born?
"I was not… born. My kind grows in pods on the branches of our parent tree."
10 What are your hobbies?
"Hobbies? Oh, what I like to do in my free time? Isn't all my time free?" He obviously tries to make sense of the question. "I guess... when I am not healing. Which is most of the time, because people don't get hurt that often. Then I like exploring the forest. I can feel the energy in all living things, but that doesn't mean I automatically understand what those are. And if the weather is too bad for that, then we stay at my cave, and play the games the humans gifted us, or Seyonna reads to me from the books she borrows." He laughs. "I don't understand much of it."
11 Have you any pets?
"Yes, a dog. Its name is Aska."
The leaf-covered creature sitting next to him, wagging its tail happily, is certainly no normal dog.
12 What sports do you play/have played?
"Sports?" He thinks for a bit. "I have heard of some. I think. Like, with balls? I did never… play? Any."
13 How tall are you?
"I am 2,05m! It's a normal size for my kind, but me, and my head, quickly learned humans are usually smaller."
14 Favorite subject in school?
If his expression is any indication, there was nothing about school he'd consider his 'favorite'.
"History," he says. "We'd spend so much time listening to Bre- our mentor telling us about the world and the other races. I always liked listening to him, and it wasn't as much of a problem if I kept forgetting the things he told us about."
15 Dream job?
"I'm a healer, and that's all I ever wanted to be."

ON THE EDGE ~ Pt. 4
Characters: Gavin Reed x fem!Reader; Connor; Hank Anderson;
Warnings: cursing
Words: 2668
Gavin was far away from being 'happy'. But he listened interested in what yn had to say in the briefing. He was impressed how much she had found out within … one day. She had a bunch of files, several papers and she also had prepared a report for each one of them with the important details. If Gavin had a good day, he could do just the half of it. If any.
"So, our guy is Joseph 'The Joker'.", she stopped as she saw Gavin trying to suppress the laughter behind his hand, "Come on, Gavin. Laugh. Or otherwise you will explode.", she said amused.
"That is the stupidest name on earth.", Gavin said chuckling.
Yn watched her partner who was looking so much better when he was grinning, "Yes, that's why I suggest we should call the whole case 'JoJo'.", just as she had said it, Gavin laughed out loud, crying with tears.
Gavin’s amusement was contagious and yn joined him while she pinched the bridge of his nose.
Even Hank started to rumble with laughter, "Yeah, we should take this name. It won't get any better, I guess. Where can we find this guy?"
"Maybe in a circus with clowns?", Gavin suggested still grinning.
Yn chuckled but shook her head to get back on track, "Actually, he deals in Liberty park.
*
Twenty minutes later, all four were sitting in the 'Liberty Park Café' for 'observation'. For normal people, it wasn't that easy to detect a dealer. But for three cops and an android, it shouldn't be that hard. At least, they could disguise their work with some coffee and snacks. Mostly, coffee.
The group took a table near a window to have the park in sight. It was snowing again and therefore, too cold to be outside for too long. Because they had no picture of Joseph, they had to rely on their observation skills.
"Could this be our guy?", Connor asked and pointed at a guy with long hair and a beard. He stood underneath a tree with his hands buried in the pockets of his long coat.
Yn took a grape of the fruit salad and threw it into her mouth before she looked at the guy. It was the third guy Connor had found suspicious, "Well…", yn started, considering the possibility but then, a woman appeared and walked straight to the guy. She hugged and kissed him before they wandered off with linked arms.
Gavin looked annoyed at Connor with crossed arms, "Wow, tin can, you're the best Investigator ever."
“It’s not that I could detect drugs from this distance.”, Connor defended himself.
“Then, I don’t see why you’re even here.”
“Because yn asked me-”
“You asked him?”, Gavin asked exasperatedly and looked at her with a dark expression.
She raised her hands in surrender, “He’s Hank’s partner so, of course, he’s on board. I’m sure he will play a good role in this case.”, she said and once again, she noticed Gavin’s mood. He was on the edge of the next outburst.
Luckily, Hank was this time the one who spotted the next suitable candidate for their suspect and stopped Gavin to say whatever he wanted next, “I guess, this could be our guy.”
The other three of the group looked at a guy in his twenties. He wore some pair of jeans with holes, a t-shirt of an old grunge rock band and a black, well-worn, leather jacket. His long, blonde, greasy looking hair was tied to a ponytail. He leant casually against a street lamp as if he was waiting for someone and at the same time as if he would have all the time in the world.
“It could be JoJo.”, yn said with a slow nod. His appearance coincided with the few details she had found in the statements. The hair, height and surprisingly, the t-shirt were the same.
“It could be just another guy waiting for a hooker.”, Gavin grunted. In his eyes, nothing of this was worth his time.
“Hey, JoJo!”, a guy on a bicycle called out and waved as he passed the grunge guy.
All three pairs of eyes were landing on Gavin who rolled with his eyes, “Oh, please! That can’t be true.”, he said and wiped over his face with his hand.
"So, that's our guy, then.", Connor said with a pleased smile. He was a big fan of having a clear suspect.
The group observed JoJo for a while. Hank ordered new coffee and as their cups were refilled, several people had passed JoJo. Some were just greeting him. Some had talked with him, maybe buying drugs, “Couldn’t we just arrest him?”, Connor asked.
“We could but if yn’s theory is right, he could lead us to his boss.”, Hank explained.
"He has a type.", yn said suddenly.
"A type? A type of what?", Connor asked confused. Somehow, he had the feeling that whenever he was learning one new thing there were two other things coming his way, like these human comments.
Yn looked at Connor with a grin, "A type of woman. He ignores the blondes. But he looks after the brunette."
"No!", Gavin called out and looked serious at yn. His brows were knitted together and yn saw his eyes sparkling darkly. There he was again: her all too protective partner… or at least, he tried to be that.
Her smirk grew bigger, "It's a good idea, I think."
Gavin gritted his teeth, "And I say, no!"
"What is going on?", Connor asked Hank low while he watched the exchange between yn and Gavin.
"I'm not really sure…", Hank answered.
Before Hank could speak out his assumption, Gavin was faster to explain, "She wants to meet him.", he said coldly.
"What?", Connor asked surprised and looked at yn.
"It's the best chance we have. I'll go over to him, flirt a bit and bug him. Then, we will get him and his boss. We will have a chance to get the whole circus. It won't take me more than ten minutes.", yn said smirking, leant back in her seat with crossed arms and watched Gavin almost exploding in front of her eyes.
"And my answer is no!", he called out, which caused the other guests to look at the small group.
Yn looked challenging at Gavin, "Good that I haven't asked you for permission."
"Then, I will go with you.", Gavin demanded, thinking of himself as smart.
Yn’s eyes grew big. She looked at her partner with a confused expression, "Are you nuts? How shall I flirt with him when you're around?", she said and gestured to him and his appearance.
Gavin saw something in her eyes, in the way she was looking at him. Not sure if he was right, if she was giving him a compliment in some way or not. Was it possible that she could see him in a certain way?
"I can go with her.", Connor offered and broke Gavin’s train of thought and the connection he had with yn.
"You?", Gavin asked spitefully and sizesing up the android.
"Yes... I could act as her servant android. Even now, there are still androids out there who are serving humans. It would be no big deal.", Connor explained.
Yn was already hooked, "Best idea!I told you he will play a role in this case. So, we have a plan. Tomorrow, we will bug this fucker."
*
“Gavin, no!”, yn called out. Again and again, Gavin wished he had listened to her instead of being hard headed to stop the crazy guy on his own. Once again, Gavin suffered through the events of the last case in his dream. And once again, he heard the shots from the guy. Then, he shot the guy on his own just to find yn lying on the ground bleeding. Gavin ran over to her, turned her around and tried to wake her up but she was already unconscious. He knelt next to her, pressing his hand on her bleeding wounds to stop the blood until the ambulance was coming. He even drove to the hospital to stay by her side.
Two long hours, he was waiting til the doctor came to him, telling Gavin that she was alright and would be okay. Gavin even waited til he could visit her in the room a few hours later. Slowly, and with shaking knees, Gavin went to her room, opened the door and slipped carefully in.
Gavin’s blood was running cold because of the scene in front of him. Next to yn’s bed sat Connor, holding her hand in his with intertwined fingers. Yn was already awake, looking at the android with a love filled glance. Connor looked from yn at Gavin and back at yn, “Look who’s there. Gavin came to see you.”, Connor said softly.
“Gavin? Who’s Gavin?”, she said without even looking up…
It was three o’clock in the morning and Gavin started up from the dream, from the nightmare, with a racing heart. Once again, he was soaked with sweat. He raked his fingers through his wet hair and without a second thought, he stood up to go into his bathroom. He splashed cold water into his face several times. As he looked up into the mirror, he saw a pale guy with dark shadows under his eyes. Gavin grabbed a bottle of shampoo and threw it violently into the shower, “This god damn, fucking android!”, he yelled out. Within a few days, Connor had been able to get closer to yn. Gavin feared this android would be even able to win her over. Maybe Gavin should gather all his courage to speak with her as long as there was time or otherwise, the android could snatch her from under his nose. But how should he do that without risking their friendship?
*
Yn rummaged through her bag with clothes. She already wore some leather boots, a tight fitting and low cut, black jeans and searched for the blood red tank top. She had made her hair and she even had put makeup on with too much mascara and eyeliner for the most dramatic look. Yn found the tank top and donned it over her head. As she pulled it down, a movement in the mirror caught her attention, "Voyeurism, huh? That's a crime.", she said, smirking.
Gavin closed slowly up to her with his hands stuffed into his front pockets of his jacket, "I know. We worked on some of these cases. Listen-", he said softly, collecting all his courage and searching for the right words.
"I know what you want to say and yes, I will be careful. Connor is by my side. You and Hank on the other side of the street by the café. Nothing will happen. This is easy. You don't have to worry this much.", yn said reassuringly while she donned her leather jacket over the top. The outfit would be a bit too cold for the weather but she wanted to flirt with the suspect and so, she had to show off some skin. She even pulled down the top some more so that her décolleté got more visible.
Gavin’s eyes fell on that view which caused his mind to go blank for a moment. All in all, she was very distracting, dressed up like this and he had difficulties to focus back on what he actually wanted, "Uhm… I… It's just... There's something I have to tell-", he tried insecurely, not sure if this was a good idea at all. If Gavin would go this way there was no going back and he knew that.
The door of the locker room opened once again and Hank took the decision away from Gavin, "Yn, Fowler wants to see you.", the Lieutenant said and left again.
"Coming!”, yn called out as a response and stowed away her bag and stuff before she turned back to Gavin, “Get ready. We will leave soon.", she said with a soft pat on his chest and a smile on her lips.
Gavin looked after her. He huffed out, annoyed about himself as the door opened once again. Yn’s head appeared in the door, "Oh, and, by the way, this shirt you wear? It looks very good. The color suits your eyes.", she said, winked at him and left again. Gavin smiled softly and felt his cheeks getting warmer. He was sure that she had no idea what she was doing to him but he enjoyed these small moments. They were all he got.
*
Then, it was showtime. Hank and Gavin stood across the walkway at a bar table with two cups of coffee to go as a disguise to be able to watch the scene. JoJo was already there, leaning at the same street lamp like the day before. Now and then, he greeted someone. Then, Gavin watched yn coming down the way, still in some distance. She said something to Connor that let the android chuckle. Connor looked down at yn with a huge smile and as she looked up at him, her smile was matching the android’s one. Pain shot through Gavin as he got reminded of his dream from the night before. It was a horrible nightmare with an end that never happened like this but his mind was determined to let him suffer even more. As if it wouldn’t be enough to get reminded of yn being shot all the time. No, now the android had to be in his dreams, as well.
“It’s good that Connor kept his LED ring.”
“W-what?”, Gavin asked. Hank had pulled him out of his thoughts and this time, Gavin was thankful for the old man to be there, even if he would never admit that loudly.
Hank nodded into the direction of Connor and yn, they almost had reached JoJo, “I mean without the LED ring, Connor would look more like her handsome boyfriend than her servant.”, Hank said amused.
Gavin observed the two and wasn’t happy what he saw. Connor was dressed completely in black and with his height he looked like a bodyguard. The way they interacted told that they seemed to be very close to each other. Gavin was looking forward to the end of this bullshit, his nerves were already blank but the case just had started. It would last a bit longer til everything would fall back to normal again without Connor and Hank being around them all the time.
Then, yn passed JoJo and as she had expected, the dealer was looking after her. Much to her delight, he even whistled after her as she swayed her hips a bit more provokingly. Yn stopped and turned around. JoJo was confident, very confident, he smirked at her and wasn’t impressed by Connor as he stepped a bit forward. Yn gave him a sign to stay where he was before she walked over to JoJo with a flirty smirk on her lips.
The longer she was talking to the dealer, the more Gavin became nervous. It got on his nerves to see JoJo coming closer to yn step by step. She was laughing about whatever he said. She leant forward to be closer to him whenever she could. And Connor just stood there, observing the scene, looking out for her - as planned.
Hank noticed that Gavin was annoyed by the scene. Since yn had began to talk with JoJo, Gavin had started to torture his empty cardboard cup. He was drumming on the lid and scratching on the material the longer the whole scene lasted.
As JoJo touched yn on her hip while he leant forward to whisper something into her ear, Gavin squashed the cardboard cup completely with his knuckles turning white.
"You know, Reed, that's the reason why you couldn't do Connor's job.", Hank said and pointed at Gavin's hand.
"Shut the fuck up.", Gavin muttered angrily and just relaxed as yn and Connor left the scene finally.

Whiskey and smoke | KTH & PJM
Tumblr media
Pairing: Taehyung / Named OC / Jimin
Rating: 16+
Warnings: Bartender Taehyung!au / Rich Jimin!au / vague mentions of sexual assault / drinking / smoking / Written in OC's POV
Summary: She has been bound to follow orders all through her life. Living a life of restraint, Taehyung had become her only source of relief. And one day, he and a very handsome stranger from the bar take a decision that rocks her damned world.
Word count: 2.9k
I swirl the amber liquid in the glass. Pegs after pegs of whiskey already In my system. It does me more good than harm. Has been doing it for the past 4 years.
It has become my companion over the years. I don't lose myself it. Never will. I find myself when have it by my side. I find the confidence I crave for. The world becomes brighter than it ever possibly could.
The bartender keeps a close eye on me, his lips forming a pout. He's sometimes the only one who cares about me. And I'll gladly indulge myself knowing I'm not unwanted.
"I'm alright Tae. It's not my first time drinking." I wave him off.
"That's why I'm worried, noona. Another family gathering?" He inquires.
"Hmm. And a few important clients from his company."
"You should tell them this isn't the life you want, Val. You're drinking yourself to death at this rate."
"It's not that easy." I sigh.
"It is that easy. You've never tried to know that." He whispers harshly.
"Don't act as if you care." I sneer. He talks as if it's that easy to confront them. Them. My manipulative parents.
"I do care, okay! You think I asked you out thrice because I don't care? All you've done those times was throw the same shitty excuse at my face. You won't understand how much I care, Valeria. You're too drunk to even try and understand how hard I'm trying to see you as just a bestfriend when we know we both are not just that." He looks disappointed in me for the first time and it breaks my heart. I look straight into his eyes without letting myself waver and he stares with the same intensity. He finally gives up, slamming the shaker on the counter before heading to the other side of the bar.
To hear him call me by name and not 'noona' or 'Val' makes me almost tear up. I sniffle, pulling my hair towards my face. The world blurs and the scenes from my first time meeting him take over.
It was in high school I first saw him. My bestfriend introduced me to this club. Back then this building had been used as a hangout spot for people interested in motorsports. Jungkook and I sneaked out from school on multiple occasions to meet with the people here. It was everything I had ever wished for. I had nothing to hide about among those people. Didn't have to pretend who I was. There was always free alcohol here. And the first time Jungkook brought me here, a guy had draped his arm over my bestfriend's shoulder and said "Who have you brought here with you, Jungkookie?"
He had smiled so wide at me, I wondered for a second if I was in heaven. How could someone have been so beautiful and been a human?
Jungkook had introduced us to each other and left us alone to get along. And we did. We got along so well and so fast, we were surprised. He talked my ear off about a girl he loved. Narrated so many stories about their happy life together. They sounded so happy and in love, that it struck me like a flash of lightning when he said she cheated on him multiple times. His eyes that had been scrunched up in a smile all afternoon and had suddenly taken a glossy sheen to them.
It had been the first time I had seen a man cry. I remember wondering if I could ever soothe him. If I could see him smile once again that day. But he recovered pretty quick. He had found something else to hold onto and love. Motor racing.
The sound of a throat clearing rings beside me and I lift up my face to look at the person. A man about my age peers at me from above his glass of scotch. There's a slight hint of a smile on his lips as if he's watched the previous conversation with Tae and finds our little fight amusing.
I sniffle and glare at him, which only makes him smile more openly. He sets down the glass on the counter and wipes the liquid off his plump lips with the back of his palm.
"Don't worry about him. He'll come around soon." He says, voice gentle and laced with a teasing smile.
"And I don't need a stranger telling me that about my bestfriend." I snicker. It makes a foul emotion crawl through my skin. To see an outsider talk about Tae, my Tae, as if he knows him better than I do.
"My my I should've probably introduced myself first. I'm Park Jimin. Taehyung's roommate." The smirk that's settled on the man's lips is so frustrating, it makes me want to punch him square in the nose.
"Do you smoke?" He asks. For once it feels like he's not mocking me. I nod, placing my hand in his when he extends it.
It's then I realize that I'm following a man that I've met for the first time outside. Beneath the arrogance, he seems like a gentleman by the way he's curled his fingers around mine. A fragility in the way he handles me.
We walk a few blocks away from the club. Music from the place we just left still faintly following us. Jimin then sits on the clean sidewalk, looking at me to sit down too. And I do. Sitting so close to him, I take to opportunity to really absorb his features into my brain. 'He's beautiful' is the conclusion my mind comes to.
He holds out a cigarette, waiting for me to put it between my lips. I part my lips open for him to do so. He gulps before doing so and then proceeds to take out his lighter. The orange light the flame produces shines on his face making him look handsome in a different way.
His eyes lift up from the cancer stick in my mouth to my eyes and fall back on my lips. He's quickly moving away from me as if he's scared of the effect I would have on him.
I take in puffs of the smoke, let it fill my lungs with the toxins. I still don't understand why it relieves me, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't. It's just as good of a friend of mine as is the alcohol.
"So you're the one who's been hooking up with Tae for so long." He says, pushing away the silence that had engulfed us. I nod, letting out the smoke I'd held in my mouth.
"I've known Tae my whole life. And I've seen him cry only a handful of times. The first time was back in high school. When he cut his ex-girlfriend out of his life. For good." He grits out the final part, eyes unfocused as he recollects his memories.
"And then a couple of years later. When you told him about your family. He didn't tell me anything other than how he thinks they're the shittiest people in your life. Didn't go into much detail about it. Just cried in my arms all night until he fell asleep." He's now looking at me with a soft look in his eyes.
"He told me he loved you that night. I always teased him about this Valeria who had his heart. Still has it. The last time I saw him cry was when you rejected him. The first time." I remember that day, I considered it the worst moment of my life. And Jimin wasn't the only one that saw him cry that day.
I woefully smile, feeling a lump in my throat grow bigger. Taking another long drag of the cigarette, I flick it onto the road. It doesn't fall far from me though. Jimin is stretching towards it and tossing it into a waste bin close by without lifting his ass up. He's smirking once again, winking at me. I laugh at his attempt to impress me with his aiming skills.
"They are shitty people. My family. I'm only something they use for their publicity stunts. Attending their business parties, walking around in rich gowns for the men to see. They never for once asked me what I wanted. All they've done is throw things at me and demand at me to be what they wanted me to be." I laugh, but it's anything but with happiness.
"I've abandoned my dreams to be a living doll for those people. I've had strangers my father's age run their filthy hands over my body. And he watched, that man. Watched his friends make his daughter feel like dirt. Can still feel the fingers of the guy my dad wants me to marry on my bare back from just hours ago." My voice cracks, tears no longer being able to be held within the confines of the waterline. As they tumble down my cold cheeks, I wrap my arms around myself. Feeling naked in my backless dress.
Jimin rustles beside me, shrugging his blazer down his shoulders and wraps it over me. He giving me an apologetic look which I wave off. I'm too tired to deal with the problems in my life.
"Why won't you agree to be Tae's girlfriend when you love him? The guy your dad chose is obviously a pathetic excuse of a man."
"I'm not the kind who stand up for themselves. I kept telling him that I'll never be able to turn down my father's order if he asks me to marry a rich businessman. I'd have to cut Taehyung out of my life and I can't do that to him. He deserves someone way better than that." I sniffle, wiping my face free of the moisture. Jimin's letting my words sink in, thinking of a response.
"Look, I've not had a great family either. Left them behind when I was really young. I let them know how forcing their decisions on me was not worth losing me. So, I understand how you must feel. But it's always nice to have someone fight for you, fight the whole world with you. And with Taehyung in your life, I don't know if there is anyone who'll be as careful with your heart as he is."
"Stop trying to set me up with him." I laugh.
"Just saying." He replies, his eyes closed into crescents as he joins in my laughter.
"Got another cigarette?" I ask as I move in closer to him. He worriedly looks at me and then nods. Once again lighting it up, he places it between my lips.
I take in a long drag and hold the smoke in my mouth. I watch Jimin gulp as I move in even closer to him. I blow it to his face, his eyes growing hooded as he looks at me through the toxic air. I pass the stick to him, asking him to do the same. He follows along, hollowing out his cheeks and blowing it to my face.
It makes my core thrum from the intensity of the scene. A hand with the number '13' tatted on the wrist holding a cigarette and the puff of smoke encasing the two of us. We've come incredibly close to each other, faces just centimeters away. He's slowly leaning in, eyes locked on my lips as mine on his. Our noses brush, a spark going straight to my brain.
I shift my head to the side, eyeing his soft ears. I lift up a finger to gently tug at the earring, toying with it as I breathe in his cologne. The soft flesh of his earlobe tend me irresistible and pull me in to press a kiss there.
Jimin's arms have wound themselves around me, his nose buried in my hair as I kiss his ear. Somehow, my mind has deemed him a safe place. Him being Taehyung's roommate playing a large role in my trust in the man I've met for the first time today.
"Val! Jimin-ah! Is that you two?!" Taehyung calls out, rushing towards us. I jump up from the sidewalk, walking towards him with Jimin trailing behind. As Taehyung nears us, he opens his arms. My eyes blur with unfallen tears and I smash into his chest.
He wraps himself around me, forming a protective embrace. I fist his black shirt at his chest, cuddling and making myself smaller in his arms. His hands run through the length of my hair, his cheek smushed at the top of my head. He's my warmth on a cold night and without him, I'd fall into a pit of eternal winter.
"I'm sorry, Val." He says, not letting go of me and I'm glad he didn't. I wasn't ready to leave his embrace yet.
"You had a tough time and came to the club for some relief and me being a dumbass lectured you." He says against my hair.
"Don't call yourself a dumbass." I pout, weakly hitting at his chest. His laughter fills my ears, along with Jimin's quiet chuckle. I look up at Jimin from where I'm buried in Tae's torso. He looking at us with newfound adoration.
"I'm sorry though." He mumbles.
" 's okay."
I'm being moved away from Taehyung's chest after a minute, but still held towards him by my waist. Taehyung looks at Jimin, a quiet conversation between them. And Jimin walks closer to the two of us, his hands going around Taehyung's shoulder.
"Hi baby." Jimin coos, making a faint red dust across Taehyung's cheeks. Jimin then places a kiss on his lips, a quick peck before they're both looking at me.
"I've been wanting to tell you something noona." Taehyung starts, his hands tightening around me.
"I and Jiminie have been roommates since high school. And we've decided to move to The States."
It hits me like a flash of lightning when he says so. He's moving away. Far away from me. And somehow it invokes a deep fear in me. Jungkook also moved to the US after college. I feel dizzy realizing I'd be left alone in the hands of my family. And I'd rather die than let that happen.
"Tae..." I whisper, the tears running down my cheeks almost instantly. His eyebrows pinch in worry, hands holding my face. His thumb brushes my cheekbones, catching the tears as they fall.
"I found an amazing photography program at one of the colleges and it fit right in my budget. I won't even have to get a student loan for it. It was our dream remember? Me taking photography while you took business courses." I nod. I remember talking about it right after we hooked up for the first time. I had laid on his chest, his arms holding me as close to him as possible.
"We're both being stagnant in our lives, Val. How long do you think we can keep hooking up? You're going to leave me behind the second you get engaged to a stranger." His eyes are filling up in pain.
"I'm coming with you, Tae. I'll suffocate here without you. Don't leave me, Tae. Don't leave me." I'm sobbing hard in his arms, clutching hard at his waist as if it would stop him from going away.
Jimin moves in, taking both me and Tae into his arms. He places a gentle kiss on both of our foreheads.
"We'll take you with us if you want, moonlet. You've got a week to yourself before we move. You can take some time and think about this decision, alright? We need you to be sure you want to come with us." he speaks benignly.
"I don't need more time. I want to come with you." I say with determination.
"That's good, Val. Jiminie will take good care of us. He's got a huge apartment in New York. Got a shit ton of money. He's really kind too. And god the things his dick makes you feel." Taehyung groans, throwing his head back and then breaking into laughter. Jimin and I join in, basking in the warmth his smile provides. We both love this adorable boy with a boxy smile and I'm sure it is seen in our eyes.
"You're making me sound like a sugar daddy, you idiot." Jimin says, hitting him softly at the back of his head.
"It is true though." Tae laughs. "Looks like lover boy's starting to feel things for you, noona."
Jimin blushes, trying to stand tall and not shying from our collective gaze. In the end, he gives up, stuffing his face in the crook Taehyung's neck.
"He doesn't have a problem with polyamory too. He's the full package, this guy." he smiles, ruffling Jimin's hair.
We don't stay there for long after our conversation. We head to Jimin and Taehyung's apartment and I stay the night. We all spend time getting to know each other better. Me and Jimin bond very fast, learning we're both similar in a lot of ways. I and Tae let Jimin in on our stories from years ago. I and Jimin even kiss for the first time that night, leaving us warm and blushing.
As the night progresses and we lay in each other's arms on the living room floor, I realize I'm being given another chance at life. Maybe running away from the people who birthed you isn't the best way to start your life again. But it feels good. To finally leave behind the toxicity. In a week's time, I'll be free. And I intend on making the most out of my life after.

TITLE : THE GIFT OF GOD
DATE : 4th December , 2020
💎
Father God in the name of Jesus! I thank You for my life and the person reading this life. Please forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and purge our sins with the everlasting blood of JESUS. You have predestined pathways for us to walk down. Holy Spirit lead us our savior JESUS Christ. Amen.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Proverbs 18:16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. I want to preach on the subject THE GIFT OF GOD, the word GIFT in the Greek language comes from several words
1. Theuriak meaning theatre , every gift is on display, whether David killing a giant or Elisha healing Naaman all of those gifts present a moment of theatre.
Like William Shakespeare said , " the entire world is a stage and every man and woman is a player". As a child to a fully matured individual, every stage in your life present a moment of theatre, you are being observed even when you don't realized, you're being observed. Mostly because of your gift.
2. Kharis meaning Charisma, the scripture says God gives gifts unto men, Kharis, the bible says we must be aware God gives us spiritual gifts, 1st Corinthians 12 , that word gifts is Kharis, which is a gift God has given.
3. Dorea meaning gift given without merit, without entitlement, it is a gift freely given, there can't be no monetary exchange for that gift, it is something money can not buy
4. Domma, it is the root word we get Domicile, it would actually mean space , because every gift has been given a measure of role, a place in which you have your space. Every gift has been given a space to function competently and measurably. Every person has a gift.
The word Gift has to work alongside ones capacity, Mathew 25 and Luke 19, in 2 similar parables, Jesus talks about individuals that were given talents, there is 5,2 and 1 talent, and it says there according to their abilities, not everyone has 5 talent in every thing, some people are gifted in one area but suck in another area.
Now we are in a category called the GIFT OF GOD.
The word gift of God is used as a terminology 'Gift of God ' 8 times in the King James version.
The 8 times can be placed in 5 categories
1. The gift of Salvation
2. The gift of the Holy of the Ghost
3. The gift of Ministry
4. The gift of wealth and health
5. The gift of leadership and power.
1. The gift of Salvation, this gift is freely given
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
Divine favor. The grace of God in Christ. Not of any duty that God holds to us. The grace is not of ourselves. It is of God's grace and not of personal merit on our part that salvation is offered to us. Knowledge of God is granted us as a grace, and brings us to the place where we are enabled to exercise the faith. God gives us grace to follow in the footsteps of Jesus in the way of self-sacrifice.
Our salvation is of divine favor. A reckonedly saved position by faith. It is grace truly, but unless you do works in harmony with it, you never will be saved. It will be by grace that any of our race will be saved. Justice did not require our salvation. It was God who provided for the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
A complete conversion and full consecration to the Lord brings great salvation. Because you have an "ear to hear" and have responded--a blessed experience. Not one person will ever be saved except as he accepts God's favor and cooperates with the divine favor and blessing. We work out our salvation with great carefulness, realizing the promised grace in every time of need.
Ignorance is not a ground of salvation. The only ground for salvation mentioned in the Scriptures is faith in Christ as our Redeemer and Lord. By faith we have the merit of Christ's righteousness imputed to us. Including true faith's obedience. It is impossible to have faith without knowledge. To have faith in any statement or doctrine is to have confidence in its truthfulness, and this should only be based on clear evidence. There is nothing more common or necessary among men than faith--we exercise faith in the laws of nature and act upon it constantly. Our faith is not to be credited as a meritorious condition but we are to be thankful to God for it.
As a matter of course. Not dependent upon our perfection or anything we could do. Not because of any merit of yourselves. This lesson must be thoroughly appreciated, else we will be continually in danger of falling. We have not the opportunity of glorying even in our faith. It was made possible because of conditions and circumstances which God arranged. Our faith is of God in the sense that he supplies the necessary elements from which that faith is to be compounded. Although we exercised some faith at the beginning, else we could never have come to God at all to accept his favors.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Everyone of us, before we became believers, before we were saved we were destined to get our wages, which was death, because of our labor in sin but God gave us the gift of God given us access to Eternal life
2. The gift of the Holy Ghost
The disciples were given strict instructions, go to Jerusalem and wait there until you get power from on High, Acts 1:6,
Acts 1:6 ...Lord wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. That power came in.
Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And when this manifestation took place and it was witnessed by the Jews going to mount Zion to celebrate the feast of Pentecost, they began to scream, "we got a bunch of drunk people ".Peter who was anointed with the gift of Revelation in Mathew 16:19, he began to preach and said these men are not drunk as you supposed, drunk but not the way you think, it is only 9am in the morning, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel, in the last days says the Lord, I will out my Spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters shall prophesy and dream dreams
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Peter response was:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Persecution breaks out because of the miracles in Acts 3 and 4, the Grecian widows that needed to be supported, they appointed 7 Grecian deacons , Stephen is the head of the deacons, the number 2 guy is Phillip. Because of the miracles that Stephen was doing, he was arrested and stoned to death. An arrest warrant was put on the Christians so Phillip fled the town to Samaria.
When he got to Samaria, he couldn't keep quiet and began to preach in the city of Samaria, and bible says miracles broke out, signs and wonders took place and many people came to be baptized. The whole city came to repentance, but there was one thing missing there, only the Holy Ghost wasn't poured out. Phillip sent a message to Jerusalem and they sent Peter and John, who came to the city of Samaria and the Bible says they began to pray for the people and the Holy Ghost fell mightily on the people.
In verse Acts 8:19, the chief witch doctor in the city of Samaria, that has vexed the people with many of his enchantments and his bewitchments and his treachery, and the Bible says when he saw by the hands of the apostles, that the Holy Ghost was poured out, he offered them money.
In verse 20, Peter said to him, your money perishes with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money, the next gift is the outpouring of the Holy Ghost.
Paul says , you must pray in the Holy Ghost, he says we must pray without ceasing, but we must pray in the Holy Ghost, pray in the Holy Ghost is many things, it is firstly the gift of God. It is the manifestation of the Holy Ghost, it is praying mysteries, it is edifying the your body.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
3. Let's go to Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
In other words, God has placed on every human gifts.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
The challenge is we don't know the gift of God in our lives , Jesus was not looking for a drink of water, no He wasn't looking for water. Jesus has been assembling a five fold team, she has to give an offering with what she had, Jesus didn't want water, He wanted her offering so that her gift could be activated
What was her gift? He needed an evangelist, she became the first appointed evangelist in a five fold ministry team. She didn't know she was an evangelist.
Let's go to 1 Corinthians 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
Paul was preaching the gospel in every city, converting the entire regions to the gospel. Paul says every man has his proper gift of God. Don't look down on anybody because everyone has his own proper gift from God.
2 Timothy 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
The gift of God which God has placed in every individual before the world began.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
4. GIFT OF WEALTH AND HEALTH.
Ecclesiastes 5:18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
The gift of God is not just good health, the gift of God is wealth and health. The travesty is that you have people with no wealth and no health. The tragedy is like when you are like Ruth, you have no wealth in your life but you have health, it is not good you have health but you have no money.
But Solomon says in the next verse, there are people who have wealth but they don't have health. God's perfect gift for us is WEALTH AND HEALTH.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
It is God's gift for us to go to our next level in our lives.
5. THE GIFT OF LEADERSHIP AND POWER.
Not everybody can be trusted with this kind of gift, because the general human being with his pursuit and ascend to power tend to exploit the weaker elements as seen in the life of Nimrod , his ascend to power should not have been at the expense of fellow human being by pressing them down, God show that through with example in his son Jesus Christ
That you can send and be at right hand of God the Father not through exploitation of human gifts and human people. You can ascend to power by empowering those around you.
Every person in their own way is supposed to lead, because every person is a leader by the vocation that God has put you in, but there are leaders and there are leaders. It is not leadership by beating people or by incentive but it is soft power, where through your influence, through your capacity, people will follow you because they trust you.
Every person in their own way is supposed to lead, because every person is a leader by the vocation that God has put you in, but there are leaders and there are leaders. It is not leadership by beating people or by incentive but it is soft power, where through your influence, through your capacity, people will follow you because they trust you and believe you.
PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD AND SAY "LORD PLEASE TRUST ME WITH LEADERSHIP AND POWER
Leviticus 26:9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
The word Respect here Is trust, believe and say Lord you can trust me with this gift.
Daniel 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
Daniel is giving Nebuchadnezzar the interpretation of his dream, he dreamt and he couldn't remember what he dreamt but he knew there was a celestial invasion to the terrestrial world. He couldn't understand how he could have this dream and not remembering it but something stirring inside of him was forcing him to find an interpretation and summons all the leaders in Babylon, from Shushan and the 120 provinces and he made a demand of them. He said I want you to tell me what I dreamt and I want the interpretation of the dream I had. The men said in the world of logic and rational said Nebuchadnezzar, your royal highness, at least give us something to walk on. Tell us what you dreamed, Nebuchadnezzar said to the Necromances and false prophets, you have been lying to me all this years with your pseudo prophecies. This is the test to show me if you are who you say you're. If you can't tell me what I dreamed and if you can't give me an interpretation, you'll die, Daniel heard about the demand of the king , he went to Arioch the captains of the Kings guard, as the king to give us 24 hours and then he
Daniel 2:17, 36-37 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
They started praying and calling on God , Daniel said:
Daniel 2:21-22, 36-37 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
That night God opened the heavens and gave Daniel a multi generational dream, showed him the dream of all the gentile kingdoms and He was explicit and detailed in the explanation.
Daniel walked into Nebuchadnezzar world and oh Nebuchadnezzar, the God that I serve has given me the dream and God has added the interpretation. God was trusting Daniel with the gift of leadership and of power.
Daniel 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
Daniel 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. This is the gift of God. Everything in your domicile, everything in your space is in your command. I'm closing. I pray your gifts and perfect gift is opened for you all.
God bless you
