In three years of running the only cat sanctuary in Middle Besser, I’ve heard a lot of their odd tales about how they ended up here.

Getting into fights is a common one. Getting trapped in wells happens more often that you’d think. Inattentive families, owners needing the space… the list goes on. I try not to judge people’s situations too harshly. After all, my main witness is going to be a little biased and cat-senses don’t always translate well to human, as you’d expect. But there are definitely pickups I’ve done that have made my blood boil, if you don’t mind me saying.

But I’ve never had one before that made me scared and certainly never had one involving one of my closest friends.

It was a stinking hot day in the middle of summer when a small child barged open the door to the Respite with a terrified cat yowling at a pitch to match the temple bells.

I had been dozing at the counter, sweat sticking my sandy curls to my forehead and a new bandage wrapped around my arm – one kitten had not wanted to take her medicine – so I damn well fell out of my chair as a screaming feline was dumped a fingerbreadth from my face.

“I found them in Gert’s Alley,” the girl said helpfully, in lieu of greeting. She was probably nine or ten; a scruffy little thing in a faded blue dress with adorable tight black coils and a missing tooth so her next words came out as a lisp, “He theemed thercared. Look at all the blood!”

Dragging myself up from floor and trying to wipe the sleep from my eyes, I blearily focused on my newest patient. She (and definitely she, I noted as she wriggled out of the blanket) was a gorgeous black Kysi with golden eyes and the huge ears typical to her breed. As she backed up, hissing, I reached out a hand and concentrated, drawing up warm reserves of the little magic I had from my chest and into my throat.

Translation spells, in my experience anyway, always had a taste. I’d never been particularly good at them: it was almost easier to just do the hard work and learn the language. But translating my tongue to that of cats was like clicking your fingers might be to someone else. Easy. Not requiring much thought at all.

Cat tastes like buttermilk. I don’t know why, but there seems to be a connection to what I taste and what I’m trying to speak. Bee tastes, almost boringly, of honey. Spider has a dusty texture. Rat, for some odd reason, is hazelnut. I haven’t worked out that one and neither had the teachers out in the Hartland’s. I think one of my classmates who fell into the academic trap – track, sorry – is compiling research on it.

(I answered her very impersonal letter a few months ago and never heard back. Hope I helped. She did bully me into passing my star-reading exam, after all.)

I took a breath, the flavour rising into my nose, and attempted first contact. “Easy there… I’m not gonna hurt you… what’s your name…?”

The cat hissed again, but only for show because she answered quickly, “Smells-like-this. But upright call me Smoke.”

“I’m Finn,” I said, almost more for the benefit of the still-watching urchin. I projected an imitation of my scent into her mind: a kind of mix of cat fur, woodsmoke, and lye soap, and asked, “May I touch you? I need to find where you’re bleeding.”

Smoke hesitated and then lay down. “Yes.”

Carefully, I reached forwards, letting her sniff my hand. “Could you get me a bucket from the pump?” I asked the girl.

She nodded with great dignity and vanished outside. I turned my attention back to Smoke. It was funny: she was far better fed than a stray ought to be –

“Know your smell, upright.”

I jumped. Swallowing hard, I managed to keep the connection strong enough to ask, “You… do?”

Smoke curled up under my hand. “It was on take-off furs. And blood not mine.”

Ice settled in my stomach, cold fingers squeezing my guts paper-thin. “Whose is it…?”

Her tail thrashed, ears flattening against her head. “My upright.” The flash of fangs made me jerk my hand away. I was panting and I didn’t know why.

“What happened?”

Smoke sat up again, fixing shining golden eyes on me. She raised her head like a queen, crossing one paw in front of the other.

“Uprights invade territory. Smash door. I fight. Upright feeder does too. I run when they lay red flower.”

“Red flow…” Suddenly, the buttermilk soured to smoke and ash as my mind made the necessary translation. Terror thumped through my chest. “They burnt the house?”

I grabbed the cat by the scruff of the neck as she bolted from my shout. She tried to claw at me, but I didn’t even feel it. “What does your upright look like, Smoke?”

“Put down!”

“Please, tell me. What do they look like?”

“Upright! Smell like this! Not white-yellow fur like you. White-orange fur! Cloud eye! Make pretty noise a lot!” She meowed as I dropped her, landing perfectly on the table as I fell into my chair.

“Gert’s Alley… that’s where you were found?”

Smoke leapt to the ground and gave me the feline equivalent of a shrug.

I was up and running down the street before I even realised I’d processed the information.

There’s something truly special about your CEO!Zim AU because like, on paper it’s the stupidest idea (Please don’t take offence to this, hear me out) but like so are so many IZ AUs and that’s what makes the fandom so amazing. I’ve seen people create the oddest AU’s I never would of thought would ever be a thing and they are just the bees knees. I adore CEO Zim so much, it’s so dumb and perfect for our dumb bois. I feel like the reason artists for Invader Zim in particular are very self aware and therefore able to make this wonderful content. Also you’re art style is absolutely amazing, the way you draw Zim’s claws and toothy smile just compliments Zim as a slimey CEO so immaculately.

How to find a coloring for an aesthetic please gwen for the indie rp series like to get one to match your theem and things ty

Not 100% sure if this answers the question because I wrote this up and went “does this answer the question?” like one of those high school tests.  This tells you how to get your theme to match your current psd.  It doesn’t tell you how to go about searching for a coloring.  As always,  my indie rp series is ALWAYS open for questions.  Please LIKE/REBLOG this if you find it helpful.  If this doesn’t answer your question or you need more help?  Message me or send in another ask. 

Use the same PSD on everything that will be for your work.  So the same coloring I use on my icons?  I use on the gif for my dash header,  the icon for my dash,  and any graphics for my theme.  This makes it CLEAN and AESTHETIC.  This psd was made custom for me by @.glitchkingdesign  I would start looking for a color scheme based on colors your character likes or you think the fc pulls off. List them and then go on deviantart to find a coloring.  BLUE PSD,  PURPLE PSD,  RED PSD,  GREEN PSD,  MUTED PSD,  VIBRANT PSD, ETC.

Link to a color picker used is HERE.  I like this one because I can use url or upload it.   There is no guess work or having to pick the colors out of the image myself.

There he laid, looking at her lovingly, his eyes popping in the greenery of their bedding. Y/N felt like they saw right through her. He wasn’t afraid of anything they’ve seen.

He took short breaths, trying to get his heartbeat back to normal, his tanned chest rising up only to fall down. A smile etched itself on his face.

Y/N was spent. The afterglow of everything that happened moments before looked heavenly on her. Her cheeks rosy and her lips swollen and red, she looked like a goddess of summer, if she even existed, he thought.

“Whoa,” she sighed out, “that was amazing.”

Grayson smiled, choosing to stay quiet. He draped his arm around her, her breasts almost spilling out of the green comforter and his eyes almost darkened with desire again. 

Instead, he just kissed her, resting his chin on her shoulder.

“Gray?”

“Yes, my love?”

“Would you ever leave me?”

He furrowed his brows, his head leaving the comfort of her neck. He put his thumb on her lower lip, finding storm and doubt inside her pretty irises. He sighed, looking her demons straight in the eye, as if to say “Go away, you can’t take her away from me.”

“No, honey. Why would I ever leave someone that was made for me?” Grayson kissed the softness of her chin, and she smiled softly.

She sighed softly, standing up in search of cigarettes. She picked his t-shirt off the floor and put it over her her naked body. Her hair rested messily atop her head, aftermath of what happened moments ago.

Oh, how Grayson adored her! He was stupidly, chilishly, naively head over heels about the girl that just left the room to search for cigarettes.

He followed her after putting his boxers on his body. Y/N was sitting on the kitchen counter, a glass of wine in one, and a cigarette in the other hand.

“Get yourself another one!” she exclaimed childishly when Grayson took the cigarette from her hand and took a drag.

“Petal, shouldn’t it be illegal for you to smoke?” He smiled at her.

The girl didn’t say anything, instead flipping him off. He knew she was turning twenty one soon, but he still loved messing with her. The six year age gap between them was a subject of many jokes, but the only man he was fooling was himself.

It took me just one variety show to fall in love with 2PM completely. I’m addicted to them recently. They have my favourite k-pop album ever and they’re the most masculine group, what I adore. The first group in which I STILL can’t choose a bias. STAN 2PM (I’m really considering joining the fandom). Taecyeon is the most handsome (HANDSOME, not pretty like most of today’s groups) man in a k-pop group I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Junho or Nichkhun’s smile can heal cancer along with Wooyoung and Jun.K’s voices. And Chansung is soooo funny.

4. VIXX

VIXX’s sharp choreographies and unpredictable concepts are something I can’t get enough of. I’m really happy they’re getting more recognition now. When I ordered VIXX’s album, it was the only time I didn’t have a very specific wish for the photocard, I would be satisfied with all of them, because they’re all awesome. Hongbin’s smile, in my opinion, is the best smile of k-pop.

3. BTS

I’m so happy I decided to join the fandom. It may not have the best reputation, but inside the fandom people are awesome. Endless fun. The boys are talented and good looking and I see no reason not to stan them. I’ve always liked their music and concepts, and I simply love them. 2. INFINITE

My love for INFINITE is unexplainable. I’ve never got into any group so quickly and I hate myself for getting to know them so late and joining the fandom so late. Sunggyu is my UB, so that’s a first threat. Second - they’re, for me, the best dancing group in k-pop (we all know they are). Third, I love all their songs to the max, no exceptions. Pure perfection - I mean come on, their visuals are no joke. My fangirling when I see them is UNBELIEVABLE. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THEEM.

1. Super Junior

The unbeatable, the legends, the group I’ll be loyal to forever, the group that caused me to listen to k-pop. I’ve never even considered putting anyone else on the top. I do not care whatever people say about their music, dancing, MVs, anything, and I won’t argue. For me, they are perfect and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Once an ELF, always an ELF.
