i didn’t type this story down last night so i have to do it now before i forget

so last night i had to pick up groceries from walmart, and we don’t actually have a walmart in our town it’s one town over, and anyway since the pandemic i don’t drive much anymore because the only place i go is to clean my houses (in town) or to move furniture (technically not in town but also very close). and both of those places i usually drive with other people in the car. so when i’m driving by myself ALL THE WAY TO LAURENS is when i am at my most impulsive, because i love to drive at night and be in the car by myself and not get backseat drivers and listen to whatever shitty music i want at a volume that will probably damage my hearing. which is why when i had nine dollars in my pocket and a sudden craving for mcdonalds french fries i was like sure i’m gonna do that i’ve been almost two fucking weeks without a drop of caffeine thats the longest i’ve gone w/o in years i deserve a reward

so the mcdonalds is RIGHT on my way home like i have to pass it so i just swing in there no problem and it’s fucking deserted so i’m like yo can i have some fries and they’re like no sorry we can only take cards right now and im like WHAT im totally heartbroken because i have been thinking about mcdonalds french fries for like twenty minutes. and so i leave and im like well we just so happen to be an interstate town the interstate is literally the only reason there’s even a town HERE which MEANS i could drive out to the highway and buy french fries at the trucker mcdonalds. am i the kind of person who, with cold groceries in my trunk that have already been there for half an hour, will drive down to the highway mcdonalds just for french fries?

as it turns out i am, and so i drove down there and i ordered my french fries and they were happy to take my cash but they had me pull up and WAIT because the fries were still cooking. and i was fine with that bc hello super fresh french fries. god is rewarding me for my patience and serenity during these trying times. and so i’m sitting in my van when the lady knocks on the window with my fries and i’m like oh shit! and scramble to get my mask on so i can take the bag and she’s like those masks are a pain, huh? and i’m like haha yeah and she goes but i like yours tho!

and I’M WEARING! THE GAY MASK! she liked my GAY MASK!!! 

this is the SECOND time this has happened to me because of the mask specifically and GOD i was so thrilled that was even better than fresh mcdonalds french fries it was ABSOLUTELY worth driving out to the trucker mcdonalds <3

I’ve been buying a lot of big sweaters because they’re actually cute as fuck i bought a few new pairs of shoes and the cheap pink pair form walmart are actually my fucking favorite they’re comfortable as fuck and cute as fuck. i’m actually proud of the fact that i ahve been ever so marginally cuter in my grooming i started parting my hair different because as cute as i look with proper sidebangs, it hink i need to part them at like 85/15 instead of 95/5 bc it suits my forehead better and also i dont have to blowdry my hair this way. LAZY BUT CUTE also i’ve been waaring makeup every day at work. this is symbolic in a way thati cant quite decipher but its different from how my life has ever been. i have not worn makeup every day sicne high school when i was preoccupied and insecure. i’m no longer insecure but i do feel like i have to put up a front, not about my level of attractiveness but about my level of professionalism. i think ia ctually look really tired without makeup (because of my stupid amount of sleep deprivation at this point) and i dont want to look tired hwen im in a higher position of leadership last year.  i think the biggest difference between this year and last year in my mind set is that i’ve decided i need to be “on” almost all the time nowadays vs last year when i felt like i could hide in the shadow of my fellow interns and just scrape by and cut corners whenever i could Of course for me, scrapign by and cutting corners doesnt actually equate to anything even close to problematic so why am i pushing myself so hard this year I need to fucking relax a little  it’s true that i need to learn a lot and improve my skillset to practice independently after this point, but I AM NOT THERE YET, that is what this whole-ass year is for, and look how much you grew last year, a fucking shit ton and you need to trust yourself that you will grow ENOUGH this year, but only if you take care of yoruself. you will not grow at all if you burn yourself out early.

Lately I've been watching a lot of videos about Lush because YouTube recommends them to me. Watching videos where people complain is weird because some of the deal breakers that led them to never even glance at another lush product are silly while some are legitimate.

A lot of stuff at lush is expensive, that is very true. I mainly buy soaps that last for a while or jelly masks which have a longer shelf life than he fresh ones. They justify their high prices bu saying everything is handmade with high quality ingredients, which is probably mostly nonsense but idk how business works. Like, I personally wouldn't buy a $7 bath bomb bc I dont like taking baths.

Things being discontinued is always sad, but that happens with most companies? Idk just seems like an odd reason to be upset.

Treatment of employees is definitely a concern. I feel like people think lush is some cutesy little business where everyone is a family, but that's not how multinational corporations operate. It really sucks and I feel bad for employees tbh.

Not liking newer products makes sense, some of their new things seem really silly. But, if you try it out in store like just don't buy it?

Also, I've bought bath and body products from actual small businesses and that shit is still expensive. You're not gonna get that kind of product for Walmart brand body wash prices. That's just not how it works.

Idk also maybe its just who I am as a person, but most of the things at lush I would never buy because I can't justify spending that amount of money on something like that. I only go to lush every couple of months and I never let myself spend more than $25 and i try things out, ask a lot of questions, and get samples.

I can't believe I ranted about this, but yeah idk lush is a big business like any other its fucked up that they treat their employees unfairly but its not surprising based on what kind of business they are. I honestly don’t think I’ve come across a sims story that’s so beautifully written & includes such evocative pictures as yours. YEAH I DID! omg. i have a LOT of issues with this season (mostly in how badly they tried to retcon nancy and everyone else not caring about barb’s death, how bad the writing was in the realm of nancy and steve breaking up and then her and jonathan getting together...holy fuck it was so uncomfortable with that 40 yr old conspiracy theorist guy i couldn’t even enjoy my ship getting together lmao) also ur right, max and billy honestly did not offer anything to the story...like i loved max too but what was the point...billy acted like their presence and the reason they had to move was so dramatic when it was really nothing...unless they’re saving that for season 3 but like. the whole situation with billy was so anticlimactic. he was like a walmart version of henry from IT. like boohoo ur dad’s an asshole and then he beat up steve. good character arc. i liked max standing up for herself but really...that whole thing was so lackluster, i didn’t care about it at all. As a single mother myself I'd really enjoy seeing you take on the issue. Personally, my biggest problem was overcoming the generalizations people put on you when you're a single mom. People always assumed that I that I was stupid and uneducated because I had my son when I was 17.

yes! that will definitely come up. i will focus a lot on her struggles as a single mom. so far i’ve mostly just peppered in some stuff about money troubles, and that will come up again, and the issues you mention will be pretty central to her character as well. i’m sorry you have to endure that, it’s not fair. people don’t even realize how strong and dedicated single mothers are.

you gotta turn bb.moveobjects on and then press alt + 9 when an object is selected to move it upward. so what i did with those poses i made was, i selected a teleporter and pressed alt + 9 until it was at a spot i liked on the roof. that’s why releasing those poses would be tricky, ‘cause every build is different so there’s no set way to place them, you just kinda have to play around with them

do you have any tips for taking good screenshots in game? like how to get the good angles and good quality? i play on ultra but i think when i zoom in and then use the arrows on my keyboard to move around, the pictures gets less clear and looks kinda blurry. how should i do this?

well if you’re already using ultra, there’s not much you can do lmao. sims 4 is just bad with textures in general. it also depends on the objects as well, some are better quality than others. if i zoom in far on a sim’s face, i generally know there will be some pixelation and i can clean that up in photoshop with topaz clean and the smudge tool. i am very reliant on photoshop sometimes lmao. it sounds like you already have the basics of taking good screenshots, it’s just sometimes you have to fight and work with sims 4′s less-than-hd quality.

i searched things like “bonfire” and pasted parts of it that i wanted on the pic to make it look more realistic, then put a layer mask on the pasted pic and erased the edges and stuff to make it blend in better. the sparks and stuff i added by pasting it onto a new layer and changing the blending mode to screen! 

idk if you have every watched grey anatomy but Lou's backstory is starting to remind me of Jo (Jo is a character from the show) like Jo was in a abusive relationship and she is married to the guy but she cant get divorced or he will come and find her. hmmmmm well i know the control panel opens when you press shift + f2, and then you check the boxes of the effects you want on them. i haven’t heard of this problem so i dunno what other advice to give i’m sorry :{ if it’s your first time installing it, you might have to wait a little to get it to load up.

for any skin detail or makeup, you have to go into s4s and open the package up, go to one of the tabs (honestly i don’t remember which one because i don’t have it open rn lmao) and you’ll see the different age groups and you check the box for toddler. and then save it of course. (there’s probably a better guide on how to do this somewhere lmao)

i just set mine to ts4′s screenshots folder because it’s what i was used to and it works for me haha. hmmmmmm did you copy the exact address or whatever it’s called of your folder’s location and then paste it into the reshade box? try doing that with another location and see if it works. if anything you can do what i did ‘cause it worked for me

Who gave out free samples of crack to the house? Last night I had a weird call with Eve. Essentially it seems like she wants Mackenzie to be given a power of the next property we buy so she can control the power via Mackenzie. Additionally there was a Chris-Austin-Dem-Kristine alliance. (Though that 2nd one is kaputz with Austin wanting Chris out and Dem being upset with Austin.) Emma got that Vote Reveal which presumably, Myself and Jess know, and I can only imagine Kristine and Brien probably know given they were the other Light Blue property holders that both agreed to give the properties to Emma. So at the very least that's not a power I have to outright fear because I know who has it, I know what the Utilities did. (Sortof, still waiting on that Pandora's Box) The Browns are presumably gone assuming that Veto Shuffle was a one time thing. (That power honestly makes sense since Early on it's Useful but later in the game it'd be worthless.) Unfortunately either Eve or me is being hustled and given that Eve has a biased opinion others know about in relation to this vote, I'm liable to believe more people would lie to Eve about voting Chris than me just because I'm not a biased person right now. If it weren't for the heart to heart me and Chris had as well as really hashing it out with Gwen I don't think I'd be keeping Chris, however based on what I know about the Chris-Dem-Kristine relationship (Thanks Kristine) I doubt Dem was actually with Eve for the vote anyway, which means for Chris to go I'd have had to convince either Gwen or Emma to vote him out which we all know is against their best interests. My best bet right now is to try and recover from any blunders from this round with as much social capital I can walk away with and hope whatever happens with Pandora's Box doesn't just completely screw me over. im comparing cars on moneysupermarket because im 16 an need a heads up on insurances costs etc... but i compared a classis mini 1.0- annual: 6000 and Monthly: 650 also, 2007 vauxhall corsa 1.0- annual: 8000 Monthly: 852 and a 1993 Ford Fiesta 1.1- annual: 12000 Monthly: 1152 now i can sort of understand the price for the mini, due to its a small car with a small engine, but the corsa's like brand new? how can the insurance be sort of lowish. but why are they charging huge amounts for a fiesta that is older than me and is probably falling to piece's slowly ? im so confused :S can some one help me and please explain this i really want to be able to have a first car at 17 but at this rate i might be stuck on a motorcycle for a few years then maybe have enough money to afford a car :/""
