Special Delivery (Spencer Reid x F!Reader)
Description: Something's different about Reid and no-one knows what. However, a surprise delivery to the BAU may just have the answer...
Tumblr media
Warnings: Food references, mentions of mental health, mentions of medical procedures, references to smutty behaviour, Spencer being adorable

“Ok. Am I the only one who’s noticed something’s different with Reid lately?” Morgan remarked, watching as the said boy-genuis made his way across the bullpen and over to his desk.
“Yeah,” Emily hummed, watching the young agent over the rim of coffee cup. She had to admit it - as much as it annoyed her - Morgan was right; Spencer has definitely been acting different. If anything, she was surprised it had taken them all this long to say anything.
Normally, they were all over each other the moment they noticed anything even remotely different about each other. Hell, she’d barely taken a step off the elevator, after getting an extra few inches cut off at her latest haircut, before the team were quizzing her about possible life changes and whether or not they needed to be worried about her.
It was a hazard of working with profilers for a living; it was almost impossible to keep anything a secret. No wonder they were all intrigued and slightly confused by the fact that none of them had been able to pinpoint what was going on with their friend.
The most notable difference was the gradual disappearance of the dark circles under his eyes. Reid also seemed happier in general, less quiet and reserved when talking to others, and it was starting to make agents talk.
Morgan and Emily stood up straighter as JJ walked over to join the unofficial gossip session. She took one look at the pair and knew immediately what they were whispering about.
“Are you talking about Reid?”
“Oh yeah,” Morgan grinned, “my money’s on him having finally found someone.”
Emily choked, seemingly as a result of inhaling her coffee at the grand statement. “What?”
“Oh, come on, Miss ‘super spy’. Just look at him,” he teased. “He’s been distracted. He’s all goo-goo eyed and he’s been leaving this place at a normal hour. Like… tell me that doesn’t scream ‘I got a date’.”
“What? It could be loads of things. It doesn’t have to be a date, right JJ?”
“He’s probably just happy. We’ve all been getting more sleep lately and our paperwork is non-existent at the moment,” JJ murmured, reaching past the pair of them to grab for the coffee pot. She was clearly doing her best to try and put this line of questioning to rest. She’d always been the first to protect the younger agent she now saw as a little brother. “Besides, we all know he’s not interested in dating, he hasn’t been since…. Well, you know.”
Morgan groaned. “But what about the secret texts, JJ!” he protested, ignoring the look Emily shot him in return. “He’s been glued to that phone of his and keeps giggling like a school kid. Then there’s the lunches! I know he’s always been organised and likes things a certain way, but damn. His lunches have been like next level - and actually healthy? And I swear he’s had jello like every day.”
JJ rolled her eyes. “You’re basing your profile on jello? Is that it?”
“Well, no I mean… did you not hear the part about the texting and the taking secret calls and the fact he didn’t come out for drinks last night-”
“-Can’t we just be glad for him? Whatever is going on, it’s good for him. Let’s just drop it, ok? He’ll tell us when he’s ready if there’s anything to share.”
“JJ’s right,” Emily echoed. “Reid’s just … happy. End of.”
By the way Morgan frowned it looked like it definitely was not the end of this conversation, but he never got the chance to argue. In fact, he was interrupted as the main doors opened next to them and a rather lost looking receptionist hurried through.
Normally, this wouldn’t have been worth noticing but all three of them spun around at the sound of him calling out the name, “Agent Reid? uh… Is Agent Reid here?”
“Oh, uh, here!” Spencer shouted, soundly vaguely like he was taking roll call. It didn’t help that he shot his arm up in the air too, almost falling off his desk chair as he lurched to his feet and hurried over. “That’s… that’s me - and it’s Dr Reid, but it doesn’t matter. How can I help?”
“Oh, uh, there’s a Y/N at reception for you,” the unfortunate messenger managed, gesturing back the way they’d came. “I told them to wait whilst I came to check with you as they’re not on your visitor list-”
Spencer didn’t even let the poor man finish. He was already racing for the door before the man had even made it to the end of the sentence. Needless to say, the others were quick to follow, with Morgan smugly boasting “told you soooo” as he went.
There was no way on earth they were missing this and considering Hotch and Rossi hadn’t arrived yet it wasn’t like they were about to get their asses handed to them for missing their briefing either.
Tumblr media
Despite the amount Spencer had told you about the BAU, you were still surprised by how different the FBI offices were to what you’d imagined.
The offices were larger and the sheer number of people walking about in suits and carrying a side arm made you feel even more nervous, and that was already a problem considering you were stood there wearing neon blue scrubs, embroidered with jungle animals on the pocket.
You were like a walking, flashing sign, screaming ‘outsider - does not work here’.  Thankfully, you weren’t going to be there long. You were only swinging by on your way to work, hoping to catch your utterly perfect - and utterly forgetful - boyfriend, before the start of your shift.
Speaking of Spencer, you had only been standing there for possibly five minutes when you saw him barreling through the doors towards you.
“Hey, Spence-“
“Y/N? Honey? What’s going on?” he gushed, hurrying over and taking your face in his hands. You could see his wide eyes frantically scanning every inch of you, looking for some kind of problem or sign that you were not ok. “Is everything alright? What are you doing here?”
You felt your cheeks warm at the sudden display of concern, very much aware of the scene your wonderful boyfriend was making. Spencer wasn’t normally the most affectionate in public, preferring to save those rare moments for when the two of you were alone. The fact he was so worried about what might have brought you to the FBI on a Tuesday morning was touching and made your heart swell.
“I’m fine, Spence. Don’t worry-”
“Then what are you doing here?”
“You forgot something,” you soothed, pulling back and reaching into your satchel. It was impossible to miss the way his face reddened as you pulled out a neatly labeled Dr Who Tupperware by way of explanation. “I’m here because you were in such a rush this morning that you forgot your lunch.”
“Oh.”
“Yes, ‘oh’,” you teased. “I couldn’t exactly let you go hungry so I thought I’d drop it off on my way to work. I don’t start till later as I’m covering Amelia’s shift as she’s visiting her sister in Boston, so I thought I’d swing by.”
Sure, Spencer was an adult and you could have let him just buy something from the cafeteria or order something in for lunch, but considering how much effort he had gone to to cook with you the day before you felt bad letting it go to waste.
He’d been so proud of the way the recipe had turned out, following the instructions and your guidance with extreme precision and care. The result had been a rather tasty looking dish - and it had the added benefit of being healthy too. You were always worried that Spencer seemed to think fast food, like Pizza, was a food group. Then again, he had been forced to be an adult pretty fast and had been in college so young that it wasn’t a surprise that no-one had been there to teach him about cooking and eating right. He had been too focused on his studies to even think about anything else.
It was something he had been working on since you’d got together and now cooking had become one of your favourite date night activities. It didn’t hurt that you often ended up spilling food all over yourselves and needing to shower together - it was just a lovely bonus. In fact, your screensaver was now a picture of you and Spencer, covered in flour, and beaming ear to ear.
“Thank you, that… that’s so nice,” Spencer stammered, “but I feel bad. You didn’t need to go out of your way and bring it to me.”
“As I say, it’s on my way to work. It’s no trouble.”
“Well, still-“
“Hey, pretty boy!”
Spencer froze.
“You gonna introduce us to your friend, or what?”
Spencer opened his mouth but instantly closed it again. You knew by the way he rolled his eyes and began muttering under his breath that whoever had shouted that had definitely been talking to him.
You couldn’t help but giggle. “Pretty boy, huh?”
“Don’t ask,” he whined, taking a deep breath as you looked over his shoulder and saw a small group of people now making their way towards you. “I should probably mention that I wasn’t sure how comfortable you were with me mentioning you, so I haven’t told anyone about us yet and those idiots are some of my team and I would say ‘run’ but they’re all faster than me.”
“Ah… I see. So I’m guessing that one is Morgan?”
“Yes.”
“Well, no time like the present,” you cheered, turning and waving at the approaching trio. “Hi. Nice to meet you. I’m Y/N - Spencer’s girlfriend.”
“Wow. A girlfriend?” cooed Morgan, reaching over to pull you into a hug before the other two could stop him. To their credit, they looked slightly embarrassed by the display but they were clearly too interested in your identity to care. “And a doctor to boot? Didn’t know he had it in him. I’m Derek Morgan.”
“Oh, I worked that out. It’s good to finally meet you all.”
The others were quick to echo the sentiment, with JJ and Emily quickly introducing themselves in tandem. They were also quick to invite you inside the office for some coffee, but thankfully you weren’t lying when you said you had to get to work.
“You know how it is. People to take care of, medical cases to solve, lives to save - same old, same old. All I’m missing is a snazzy badge and I could be an FBI agent.”
“Ha ha.” Spencer’s smile was genuine as you stole a kiss before making a dash for your car. However, you could see the nerves in his eyes at being left alone to face the great inquisition that now awaited him following the discovery of your existence. You were pretty sure the entire BAU would know about you before it even hit lunchtime. “I’ll see you later, ok?”
“Of course. Just let me know if you’re coming home or if you’re off saving the world in another state - otherwise I can’t promise I won’t eat all the leftovers before you get back.”
He chuckled. “Will do.”
With that, you bid the others goodbye, making sure to agree when they asked (more like insisted) that you came to their family dinner on Friday night at none other than Rossi’s house. The rest of the team were going to be begging to meet you after this, and they were all bringing their families along too.
If Spencer wasn’t comfortable with you going you were pretty sure the team would believe it if you said you’d got called into a last minute surgery, but you’d check later when you both returned to the apartment you now called your home. Either way, you were going to have to make something to take with you, just in case.
As your grandpa had always said, there was no quicker way to someone’s heart than through their stomach. Or, as in Spencer's case, with an unlimited supply of Jello...

Diabetes
Summary: You join arsenal and move in with Beth and Viv, you're nervous how everything will go, but ultimately it was perfect
Warnings: Diabetes, Hypoglycaemia, Glucagon shot, let me know if anything else.
A/N: Just a bit of a cute fluffy fic, I tried to get everything right medically but IDK if it is perfect. I hope you like it. If I did get something wrong let me know. Also as always happy to do part 2s if requested but pls add some detail on what you want to see.
Tumblr media
You were originally going to move in with Leah however the Medical Team said it would be best for you to live with two people, so you moved in with Beth and Viv, you were very nervous as to how they would perceive you, and whether they would be accommodating of your diabetes or not. You knew the medical team had discussions with them and that the club had forced them to do the emergency training for really bad lows and highs, what you didn't know was that they asked the club if they could find them some more training courses, they had done just about everyone single one, from how to use a Dexcom and an Omnipod as these were the devices you used, to how to live everyday life with diabetes.
So when you turned up to their house you were very surprised to see some snacks sitting out on the bench, each with a piece of paper next to them, with the amount of carbs in them. They had really gone out of their way to help you settle in and make your life easier.
“Um, we have something to show you.” Beth said, kind of hesitant, you followed them over to a cupboard, “Um, it might be a little silly but this is for you,” she said as she opened the cupboard. It was empty other than some shelves, and draws, some organisation baskets, a mini fridge and a basket full of lollies. “There are some juices in there, we didn’t know what flavour you liked so we bought a pack of each, if you don’t like a flavour that's okay, we also got you these, they are all 15g of Carbs each, um but we can buy anything else you want or prefer, and um we thought you could put all of your supplies in here so they are organised and there is even a label maker so we can label the draws and stuff if you want oh and this is for you I suppose.” She said as she picked up a phone, it was a brand new iPhone 15 “it's more for the club, they were originally going to by you a android but we told them you wouldn't use it so yeah, the idea is we connect it to you sensors as like an additional device, so that everyone has access to your levels, so like at night we will keep it beside our bed so if anything happens we are alerted and during games the medical staff will have it and during training I think Kelly is mainly going to have it.” you nodded knowing you couldn't speak, the kindness of both women, and seeing how much they more cared and were going to 100% help you caused you to become emotional you felt a single tear roll down your face, causing the pair to panic lightly “You could have a cupboard somewhere else if you wanted or we could show you, your bedroom, it's pretty bare but we had plans to take you shopping so you could decorate it and make it your own,” another tear roll down your face, “are you okay, did I say something wrong? Did I do something wrong?” you shook your head “th-thank you” Beth pulled you in for a hug “it's nothing really” but it was something it was everything, it was perfect. You spent your day moving in.
You set up the cupboard first, you drew a plan of where everything was going to go, detailing it before everything started to get put into the cupboard. Your plan worked very well and the cupboard was very organised and practical. Viv thought it was quite cute, she was going to like this side of you very much. Once you had set up the cupboard you got to go shopping, first you went to the homemaker centre, buying some bedspreads, pillows, and decorations from multiple different shops, to make more room in the car you had to do a pit stop at home, chucking it sll through the front door, before heading back out for lunch, it was the first time Beth and Viv had experienced eating out with Diabetes, well even just eating and diabetes. You were very well practised at it, and helped Beth and Viv learn, showing them how you did everything, you taught them how to estimate carbs, but that differently needed practise on their end, you also showed how you can either your phone or your pod controller to set up the insulin delivery and you even pricked their fingers to test their levels for fun, you liked how they weren’t over cautious about it and how they weren’t treating you differently, and also the fact that they didn’t see it as annoying, really you just liked everything about them. You then went to IKEA to get a desk, a chest of drawers and some other items for your bedroom. Once you got home you set up your room, you were putting your clothes away when you were interrupted by Beth and Viv calling you down for dinner.
“Stuffed capsicums!” You yelled as you walked into the kitchen.
“Inside voice,” “Vivvy, it’s cute, your parents told us they were one of your favourites and we thought after the lunch we had today they would be a good choice, how many do you want?”
“Two please, thank you,” “you’re welcome, if you want we can sit on the couch and watch a movie.” you nodded your head before making your way over to the couch.
-
“Come in,” Viv said after you knocked on the door, her face dropped when you opened the door and she saw your red puffy eyes, and tear stained cheeks. You had been crying because you were so relieved and happy, and you wanted to thank them again.
“Kleintje, is everything okay?” Viv asked, causing Beth to pop her head out of the bathroom mid teeth brushing, the sight of you caused her to quickly move back to the bathroom rinsing out her mouth before pulling you in for a hug.
“T-thank you, for everything, it was perfect, you didn’t have to do any of it”
“Of course Kleintje,” Viv walked over to the two of you joining in the hug.
“We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable, it is now your house too. But please if you need us for anything at all you can come wake us up, our door is always open.”
“Figuratively, not literally” you giggled slightly at Viv’s comment.
“Let's all go to sleep. Hey. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow” Beth said.
_____
Your second day was a training day, you Beth and Viv arrived early, as you had a few meetings, the first one was with Jonas and Kelly, about everything but also your diabetes, then the medics and some other people, Beth and Viv came with you to all of them. As you sat in the tactical session, you sipped on your apple juice popper as you listened intently, trying to ignore Beth and Steph’s talking, you were one to think tactics were a major part of the game, something else Viv would come to like. You then had a short gym session and then it was lunch, everyone was wondering what it was going to be, you already knew but decided not to tell them, you had been given the menu for the week, to select some things that you would want, so that they could make up a plate for you, ensuring they could tell you the exact amount of carbs. You walked in to find your plate sitting on the bench next to all the other food, it was a chicken burger, on wholemeal bread rather than a burger bun, you also had some snacks. There was a piece of paper next to it that had your name on it and the amount of carbs in each item, including each item of the burger. You picked up your plate and walked over to Beth, who pointed to the table she usually sat at, so you sat down there, waiting for her and others to join you, Kelly soon walked in with your kit, which you accidentally forgot at the meeting, you took it from her gratefully and she told you what would be happening in training so you had some idea of how much you needed to adjust your insulin. You picked up your phone and checked to see what it said your sugars were at, your phone said your sugars were at 90 which was perfect considering your target range was between 80-100, you were unzipping your kit when some of the team came to sit down, Beth sat next to you, Steph, Katie, and Caitlin also sat down. You pulled out your lancing device and pricked your finger, using your metre to confirm your reading before putting the units you needed for the burger into your pod controller.
“Do you mind us asking?” Katie questioned what you were doing.
“Um, I have diabetes, I was diagnosed when I was two, but it means that I have to manually control my blood sugars. My body doesn't do it at all, so I have to calculate the insulin I need for when I eat," "Right,” she nodded her head.
____
You had a few hiccups with your diabetes since living with Beth and Viv, but nothing major, however that was going to change. It was the 60th minute and you felt your body start shaking, the medics hadn’t called a paused or called you over and even thought you felt funny at half time your levels were normal, if anything slightly high, but you knew you were low, not only was your body shaking, but your brain hurt and felt foggy, you were also struggling to not fall over. You knew you needed to get off the pitch soon, before you passed out. A corner gave you the perfect opportunity to tell Beth you were low, you walked up to her, she looked at you confused and concerned.
“L-Low” you managed to say to Beth before you collapsed forward on her, she lowered you to the ground and the ref immediately blew the whistle, the medical team was on the pitch immediately, players from both teams were starting to form a huddle around you, trying to protect you from the media.
-
They were checking your sugars, as Beth got a Glucagon shot ready, she was ready to go when she got the nod of approval from the medics. Beth injected the shot into you and you were immediately rolled onto your side by the medics, waking up just moments later, in a panicked state, sitting up.
“It’s okay, you passed out from being low, we had to give you a Glucagon, but it’s okay, you’re going to be okay.” Beth said as she rubbed your back.
“S-sta-stay?” you managed to get out eyes wide open with fear.
“Go with her, I’ll tell Jonas,” Beth nodded.
Viv met you and Beth in the medical room, she sat on a chair while Beth sat on the bed with you, you were given some gummy bears as well as an apple juice popper, to try and elevate your levels, you were still shaky and sweaty but your vision was completely clear and the medics and paramedics cleared you, which meant you didn't have to go to the hospital, but Beth and Viv had very strict instructions to take you to the hospital if certain things happened, such as seizures, loss of consciousness and others.
“Do you want to go home now Kleintje?” you nodded as you ate a gummy bear.
_____
You were very nervous for your first camp, for how the staff would handle your diabetes but more so the team. The last game you played for Arsenal was the one you passed out during. You visited your endo after that incident and he had recommended putting tape over your sensor and pod when you played. The sensor had slightly pulled out during your arsenal game and so it wasn't actually reading your blood sugar.
It was your first training session and Beth had helped you, with the supervision of the medical team, put tape around your arms covering your sensor and pod, it was so you could get used to the feeling of it before your first game. You weren't required to have tape over your sensor and pod during training as you had frequent breaks which you could be checked during.
-
As you warmed up with Lauren Esme and Niamh, Ella and Alessia walked over to you.
“Why do you have tape on your arms?”  Ella asked. “Ella you can't just ask that” Mary said as she walked over with Beth, who had overhead the question, so she stood behind you placing her hands on your shoulders. “You don't have to tell them.” Beth whispered in your ear, you did want to tell them but you weren't sure you wanted to tell them right now.
“Oh um,” you were saved by Sarina calling the team over. While Sarina talked one of the medics came over to you, she handed you the phone and you saw your reading, being nodding and sticking your hand out to her, hoping that somehow in the non contact warm up the sensor had moved and that reading wasn't true, as if it was you most likely weren't going to get to do training this morning. You were handed a small container filled with 6 sour worms which told you the reading was true, you opened the container and started to eat them while Sarina kept talking.
“Why don’t we get sour worms?” Ella whined.
“Because you’re not special enough.” you inform her, causing everyone to break out into laughter.
“I like her,” Millie said as she high fived you. Sarina ignored all the commotion, she was obviously used to it and just continued talking. “Y/N could I just talk to you quickly?” she said as you and the girls started to disperse, you nodded and walked over to her.
“Sorry Sarina. I didn’t mean to-” “No, that's not what I wanted to speak about but I appreciate the apology. I wanted to talk to you about telling the girls, is it something you would like to do?”
“Um, yeah I think, I just don’t know how to tell them and like I don't want them to think of me differently”
“That's okay, I think sooner rather than later would be better, maybe today during dinner? During the announcements. Becky could help you, or even Beth or anyone you wanted, I could even just tell them and we wouldn't need to discuss it if you wanted.”

Platonic Yandere Rosalie Hale and Emmett Cullen w/ Adopted!Baby!Reader
Tumblr media
Rosalie had traveled to a hospital in a neighboring town to volunteer in the maternity ward. Her motivation wasn't solely selfless; she yearned to be in the presence of infants. Rosalie adored babies for their small size and pure innocence. Occasionally, she'd volunteer in the pediatrics ward, where the sick children often mistook her for a princess due to her beauty. However, on this day, her heart was set on spending time with the babies. It was her favorite pastime, second only to being with Emmett. She would occasionally downplay her attachment when her family questioned her about her frequent visits to the hospital.
As Rosalie left the hospital, an overwhelming urge to cry overcame her, though no tears escaped her eyes. Instead, her venom-filled eyes burned, but she didn't shed a tear. A pang of jealousy gripped her as she thought about how many parents took their children for granted, complaining about the demanding baby and toddler years. Her thoughts drifted to Renesmee, whom she had practically raised during her early, albeit brief, years. However, Rosalie could never be Renesmee's mother, as the girl knew Bella as her mother, despite their strained relationship. Rosalie had even harbored a shameful hope during Renesmee's birth that Bella wouldn't survive, leaving Renesmee to be solely Rosalie's and Emmett's daughter. Yet, fate had different plans, and Rosalie remained without a baby.
Suddenly, a loud cry from an infant in a nearby car disrupted her thoughts. Rosalie couldn't hear the sounds of parents or a running car engine, and the freezing weather made her worry. She exited her car and began searching for the source of the crying, only to discover an infant version of yourself inside a locked car. Your parents were absent, and you were clad only in a thin onesie. Through the window, Rosalie detected the odor of an unchanged diaper.
Rosalie knew she should call the hospital to report the situation, but she feared you would end up back with your neglectful parents. Thoughts of Emmett being a great father crossed her mind; he hadn't been overly involved with Renesmee, except for playtime, but you could be different as their own.
With a swift motion, Rosalie broke into the car, thankful that the alarm didn't sound, given the car's poor condition. She rented a hotel room with you tucked away in her jacket before calling Emmett and sharing her surprise. When he arrived, expecting something else entirely, Rosalie had you dressed in a fresh diaper and cozy footie pajamas. You were notably small and slender, even for a human infant.
Emmett asked, "Babe, what is this?" His tone was a mix of confusion and amusement.
"Our baby," Rosalie declared as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, her eyes fixed on you without interruption. "We don't have a baby," Emmett attempted to argue. He typically went along with what Rosalie said, as she was almost always right, but occasionally he voiced his dissent.
Rosalie's gaze shifted to Emmett. He didn't need to read her mind to grasp that she needed you to be theirs. Without further argument, he sat beside her to get a better look at you. "This is definitely one sweet baby," Emmett observed, running a cold finger down your cheek.
Emmett expressed his concern, "Carlisle will be furious. He might make you return the baby." Rosalie acknowledged this and understood she would face objections from Edward, Carlisle, and possibly even Alice and Jasper. However, she couldn't help but feel it was unfair that Edward could have his human and endanger the family, and then having his daughter, whom he barely appreciated, that also put the family at risk.
"We'll deal with that when the time comes. For now, I want us to be a family: a mommy, a daddy, and a sweet little baby," Rosalie's face lit up when she referred to you. Emmett loved to see his wife so joyful, so he indulged her, understanding why she was so enamored with you.
A few months passed, and you were introduced to the Cullen clan. After some persuasion, Carlisle allowed Rosalie to keep you. The presence of a human infant injected new life into the Cullen household. Rosalie and Emmett spent the most time with you and Rosalie became upset if anyone besides Esme tried to hold you. Edward and Jasper's unique abilities helped discern your needs quickly, even though you couldn't communicate them directly. Jasper secretly enjoyed caring for you without interference from your parents and loved the way Alice dressed you like a doll. Edward and Bella, engrossed in their own activities, didn't show much interest in you. Renesmee, on the other hand, enjoyed having you around, as you allowed her to partake in kid activities she had missed out on. Carlisle and Esme were the perfect grandparents, but nothing could compare to your parents. Emmett and Rosalie adored you. Rosalie was extremely protective and insisted on homeschooling, but she always wanted what was best for you in her mind. You were their angel, and they were determined to protect you from harm.

One of your girls| Theo Nott
Warnings: making out, smoking, curse words, toxic relationship kinda, both people being HELLA bipolar
Summary: Theo decides to start hooking up with Mattheo's sister until she asks to be public..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being in love with your brother's best friend is the most complicated thing. Mattheo's already told Selena and Theo separately that nothing could happen between you two.
But did either of you listen? Fuck, no. Selena's been hooking up with Theo for the past two months. And fuck did it feel amazing, sure they weren't able to hang out publicly but that didn't stop them from going to amusement parks and malls together.
As soon as the sun went down they were able to have the moments they couldn't during the day, but how long did they have to do this for until they could be official? How long did Selena have to lie to the only person who knows her best?
Selena is by the window in her bedroom, smoking a cigarette that she stole from Mattheo's room until she hears a knock on her door. She quickly puts it on the floor and smashes it with her kitten heel slipper. "Come in!" Theo opens the door and steps inside, smiling.
He sees the cigarette on the floor, he chuckles a little. "you couldn't have just thrown it in the bin?" He remarks jokingly, shutting the door behind him. "I thought you were Mattheo," Selena says as Theo sits beside her on the bed. "Nope. Though I was wondering why he'd bother to knock in his own house." Theo leans on his arm, looking at Selena with eyes of lust and desire. Selena was always really hard to read but that didn't stop Theo, she said nothing back to him. He let out a frustrated sigh, "What's wrong?" "I don't know, you tell me" Selena says sarcastically, Theo rolls his eyes. "Okay, smartass..." He pushes himself off the bed and picks up another cigarette from off the floor. "I thought you said you didn't like smoking,"
"What are you gonna do? Tell my brother? He wouldn't do anything unless I tell him that his best mate is hooking up with his sister" Theo raises an eyebrow at her again like he doesn't believe what she's saying. "You seriously think he wouldn't care? He'd kill me if he knew."
"But seriously, what's wrong baby?" Baby. The one word that could make Selena completely break down. "Us! I don't know how long I can keep our relationship or whatever the fuck we are from everyone! I want to be with you! You make me feel all special and loved but the next day you're with my brother like nothing happened!" Theo runs a hand through his hair and bites his lip.
"Look," he says in a serious tone. "We've talked about this. We both know it wouldn't work. Mattheo's my best friend and it would just cause a conflict between us all if we-" "I saw you with Astoria" Selena cuts him off as another tear stains her cheek, Theo's jaw clenches. Looking away and then lets out a long sigh. "That's different...." he mutters
"How the fuck is that different, Theo?! She was all over you but when I talk to Cedric for a damn project, you punch him!" "Well- it's just- look, y'know you're different." He pauses, not knowing how to put it into words. "You'll never be just an option to me. She's just an option. I can switch from girl to girl but nothing can make me switch from you." Theo puts his hand on her cheek as the other runs through her hair. "but there's always gonna be other girls, right?"
"yeah..." Theo looks away. This wasn't the best time time to tell her but he couldn't lie to her anymore. "But there's no girl who can make me feel the way you do." "y'know that, Sel" Theo says as he grabs her chin and lifts her face to meet his eyes. "I mean why do you think I don't want to be with you? I don't wanna hook up with a bunch of random girls. I want you. I always have"
"then why am I a secret?" Selena says as her mascara runs down her face. "Selena....." Theo sighs "I just......." He pauses, thinking back to the conversation with Mattheo. Then, he wipes the tears off of her face. "I know that things are just a little complicated right now...."
“Can I ask you something?” he suddenly says, his tone now very soft and gentle. “why are you still trying to go on about us when we both know where this is going? you’re only going to end up hurting yourself.”
"but I want you, Theo. I want us to be the same even when the door isn't closed" Theo takes Selena into his arms as she curls into his lap." me too, Selena," he says in a sincere tone, taking her hands in his. “believe me, if there was a way for us to be together I’d do it.” he pauses, running his thumb along the back of one of her hands. “and do you think I haven't felt this way about you? I want you but I just can't ruin what I have with Mattheo..”
"you won't, he'll be way more mad that I'm hurting myself over you than being with you" Selena tries to convince Theo, He takes a deep breath as he rubs her shoulder gently. "Selena, you're gonna be okay," he says in a soft tone. "you're gonna meet some other handsome guy. and he'll fall in love with you and everything will work out. just not me."
"I don't want anyone else, don't leave. Theo, I want you" Selena panics as she begins to tear up again "…I want you too. but—“ he pauses, struggling to find the words to explain to her why he couldn’t be with her.
“I can't.” he takes a deep breath and starts to pull away. “I’m sorry Sel.” "Theo, please" Selena says as she hugs Theo tighter. he tenses up a little, not expecting the hug. But he hugs her back, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist. “we can’t do this,” He whispers into her ear, trying really hard to not feel anything.
"I don't care," Selena sobs, Theo lets out a heavy sigh and his muscles loosen. “Selena, stop…” He says gently, running his hand through her hair and pulling her face up to meet his eyes. “We talked about this. this isn't going to work."
"I wanna be one of your girls, Theo" Theo swallows hard, biting his lip. “I know you do…” he looks away, his eyes dropping down to her mouth. It hurt to hear her talk about herself like that but she wasn’t wrong.
a silence hangs between them, the only noise being their breaths. "then let me," “Selena…” Theo says almost pleadingly, pulling her closer to him. He wants to. More than anything he wants this. but.. “don't you see this is just gonna end badly?”
"I don't care if it ends badly, I just don't want to end now"Theo frowns, feeling his heart aching for her. If only he could be selfish right now. He closes his eyes and rubs his thumb across her cheek, pulling her closer to him again. “are you sure..?” Theo whispers into her neck. Selena nods,
"I love you, Theo" Theo shivers as Selena's words sink in. This wasn’t good. He could still back out of this. But he didn’t want to.
“I love you too.” Theo leans in, pressing his hands against her waist as he kisses her softly. Her lips tasted like strawberries, Theo slowly pulled her closer. His hands moved up Selena's back and held onto her waist. Every few seconds he pulls away to look into the depths of her brown eyes, Selena runs her fingers through Theo's hair.
He groans softly as he leans in to kiss her neck, pulling her closer by her hips until they both hear Selena's door creak open

Hold the Sugar
♡ content: ~ 900 word count. boyfriend!eren, modern au, domestic & fluffy goodness ♡ a/n: i can't help that cabin eren has me feeling soft
Tumblr media
It was the first chilly day of the year; you could tell the moment you went to open the windows that morning, and the panes made the tips of your fingers tingle. Cold enough to keep them shut for the day, you decided, but not quite enough to kick on the heat for the season. The kind of day that was perfect for fuzzy socks and firing up the oven.
You didn’t plan on leaving the apartment even once, but you had already decided that earlier—ask Eren. Last night, while brushing your teeth together, you told him exactly that in a spitty, garbled voice. He laughed, had to cover his mouth so he didn’t spray you, and said he had no idea what you said. When he finally understood after you rinsed, he told you it sounded perfect, that he could use a lazy day, too.
There was no way you could switch up the plan now, so scouring the pantry would have to do. Based on what you had on hand and spread across the counter—which wasn’t much—that meant sugar cookies.
Eren must have heard all your clattering because he popped by not long after you’d set out the mixing bowl and started searching for where you had last put the whisk.
Of course, he wanted to join, and who were you to say no? Even if the last time, he convinced you to let him crack an egg with one hand, claiming he had seen it enough times on TV, and wound up with a hand drenched in yolk and a batter full of shells. That was the one condition you had set before he even stepped foot into the kitchen.
To your surprise, the two of you managed to make something that actually resembled cookie dough. Eren had just finished mixing it, and you slid the bowl over to knead it into a ball to roll out.
Then, you realized you had spoken too soon because when you pinched a bite for yourself, as always, you immediately gagged into your hand.
Eren’s eyes shot wide open. His voice pitched higher with denial. “No, stop! It can’t be that bad!”
You looked from the wad in your hand to your boyfriend. “Eren, what did you do?”
“I don’t know,” he replied, more panicked than before. He reached for the recipe you had printed out and scanned over it. “I followed every step, I swear.”
“Try it.”
He recoiled from the unsavory bite that was still residing in your hand. “It was already in your mouth!”
You clicked your tongue, then clarified, “From the bowl.”
“No way! Not after that.”
You sighed and went to wash your hands. As you towel-dried them, you examined the messy counter, painted in layers of flour now, and tried to figure out where he went wrong. It didn’t take long for your eyes to fall on two clear containers, sat right beside one another, both white. You could tell the difference, but Eren…
“Did you use salt instead of sugar?” you asked.
He pulled a face. “Do you really think I’m that big of an idiot?”
“Okay, then show me which one you used,” you said, ticking your head toward the containers.
Eren glanced from one to the other. He did it a few more times and didn’t answer right away. He knew he had a fifty-fifty shot at getting this right, telling you the answer you were hoping to hear, even if he had no clue.
The small lapse had you filling in the blanks. “You don’t remember, do you?”
“No,” he groaned.
You smiled at him, tight-lipped so you didn’t laugh—well, you didn’t laugh that hard. After your giggles subsided, you turned off the pre-heating oven, scrapped the dough in the trash, and set the bowl in the sink to clean.
“We’re not going to remake it?” Eren questioned.
“That was our last egg.” As you said it, he already had on that face he got whenever he felt bad. “It’s fine, I promise. I just wanted to use up the ingredients we had before they went bad.”
“I’ll just run to the—”
“Wait, we’re having a lazy day!” you reminded.
Eren was already out of the kitchen, his arm in one of his jacket sleeves. “I got it, don’t worry. I’ll be right back.”
You sighed in defeat. If you didn’t let him go, you were sure he’d think about it for the rest of the day. You watched him put on his shoes as you told him, “Just don’t take too long.”
He smiled in acknowledgment and headed toward the front door. Before he reached for the handle, he spun around like he had forgotten something.
He did. Eren came back to give you a soft peck on the lips. His face was still an inch from yours, but you could see his smile. “One more time.” Then you kissed him again. “One more?”
“Go.” You gave him a playful push on the shoulder. “The sooner you leave, the sooner you’ll be back.”
He kissed you again anyway. “Love you—and sorry.”
“They’re just cookies,” you assured him.
Eren was back by the door when he turned around again. His tongue poked out with a quick swipe over his lips. “Yeah, I definitely used salt.”

Adam dating an older girl and comforting her after someone rudely mentions their age gap and it makes her upset
you know that gavin likely hadn’t meant it in a rude manner when he let the words fall from his lips. his second beer sloshed in his hand as he leaned against the tall bar table and squinted his eyes at you, “what do you and fants even talk about? you’re so much older than him-”
and you don’t even hear the rest of his words from the sound of your heart thumping against your ribs. your ears start to ring at his observation, so much older than him.
truly, you weren’t. you were only twenty five compared to his twenty and while he was fresh off of his first year in the league, you were three years out of college with your own career and considering a masters in your field. now you knew that there were differences and you weren’t immune to the comments that had been made about your age difference ever since you were seen hanging off of his arm at the most recent cannon ball (comments that forced you to privatize all of your social media) but to hear the words coming straight from the lips of his friend, his former teammate?
you wish that adam wasn’t able to read you so well because mere moments after gavin is pulled away and shrink back into the wall, adam is striding over with a big grin on his face. he sets his drink down beside your own and gently throws his arms over your shoulder and it’s basically automatic for you to wrap yours around his waist, “well, y/n, does it live up to the hype?”
you hum quietly, not meeting his eyes. because you had focused your gaze on his chin, you witness in real time as his smile falls and you’re quick to straighten up, letting your eyes meet his confused gaze, “yeah, it’s great! i can see why you talk about it so much, mo.”
not even the use of his nickname causes his features to soften. he takes a step closer, gently bullying himself between your legs and swoops down so you can hear him over the music, “something’s wrong and you’re not telling me.”
“everything’s fine.”
“you were fine at the game. this is not you being fine,” his hands move up to rest on your cheeks, making sure that you’re meeting his gaze when he asks, “what did gavin say to you?”
you don’t have to question how he knows because somehow he always did. in the seven months you had been together, he was quick to figure out almost everything from what made you laugh, to what made you cry, to what caused you to completely shut down. you look up at the ceiling and tug at his flannel, trying to find the words to soften the blow that his friend was the one who had upset you, “he- he just asked what we talk about considering i’m so much older than you, but it’s fine-”
“i’ll kill him,” his gaze goes cold and his tone serious. when he goes to pull away, you’re quick to tug him back, “i don’t give a fuck who he is to me, he’s not allowed to say shit about us like that. especially after knowing you for, what? an hour?”
“you can’t hurt him, adam,” it’s your turn to raise your hand and thumb at his cheek, letting your finger run against the roughness of his beard, “he’s had a couple of drinks just let it go. besides, he’s not the only one that thinks it.”
“he can have ten beers and that still doesn’t give him the right. no one has the right to comment on us or our relationship,” he grumbles, “you know that i don’t care that you’re older than me, right?”
“but you could be with someone who still likes all of this,” you wave your hand around skeeps and his narrow once again, “not a girl who’s over the college bar phase of her life or staying out late or whatever. you could be with a twenty year old that’s more your speed.”
“i could be, but i’m not,” he insists, “i thought that we conquered this hill when we got together, baby.”
“it’s kind of hard to conquer it when you have to read about it at least once a day,” you frown.
“i don’t care what people say about you or me or us. our relationship is ours, they don’t get to put their two cents in just because it’s not logical to them, okay?” he looks at you for assurance that you were understanding his words and you provide him with a hesitant nod. he grins and leans forward to press his lips to yours, “besides, if they’re this upset when we’re dating, i can’t wait to see how mad they get when i marry you.”
you shove at his arm, “let’s get you out of a boot and off of an elc first, pretty boy.”

Hiii guys guess what? I made a Sephiroth x Reader reeeheeheehee don't we love that
Contents:
Sane Sephiroth (idc idc I need it)
Kissing hee hee!!
A LITTLE bit of angst?
Cuddling, because I just want to hold him tbh
This is also on ao3 but idk how to hyperlink so it's also here under the cut 👇 ok goodnight
Human (Sephiroth x GN Reader)
Sephiroth was strong, there was no question about that. The world revered him as the legendary warrior he was, a title he had rightfully earned as his name became synonymous with power. He was cold and merciless in nature, and swift and accurate in combat. Talk of him among SOLDIER often consisted of speculation that he was not even human, but rather an indestructible weapon specially created for war. At least, that was what the lower class SOLDIERs claimed; the ones who looked up to him and watched in awe as he trained day in and day out. As his close friend, however, you recognized him as a human, and humans are not indestructible.
It was normal for Sephiroth to spend most of his days training alone or with others, or hidden away when Shinra demanded his time. Still, he rarely appeared worn out. He always maintained his polished image and calculated persona. As a SOLDIER you found yourself impressed with him, admiring his consistent strength and elegance. Yet, with the privilege of your friendship, you were more aware than others of the slightest changes in his appearance and behaviors. Those keen observations had made you aware lately of how dark circles had begun to slowly appear under Sephiroth's piercing eyes.
Today you were with him to help him spar, per his request. He bested you each round, as you expected, but you had been at an even greater disadvantage since you were focused on those subtle dark circles. You knew how well Sephiroth cared for himself, so it was jarring to notice this imperfection. It was unlike him.
"You look... damn... a bit tired lately," you huffed out when you became winded after a while of sparring. Sephiroth sighed as he lowered his sword.
"I have been facing trouble sleeping at my usual hours, but I am fine nonetheless. Do you need a moment?"
"Yeah, just... just a minute."
The two of you put up your weapons and took a seat at one of the benches there. You spent a few moments catching your breath while Sephiroth sat beside you, arms crossed over his broad chest and leg crossed over the other as he waited. Your eyes squinted as you looked over him for a drop of sweat. It was slightly annoying how he never seemed even the tiniest bit exhausted after fighting, you always thought to yourself.
"So, has there been anything that is keeping you from sleeping?"
Sephiroth shook his head and clicked his tongue. "You're still focused on that? I am fine, truly. Worry about yourself. Perhaps if you spent more time on that, you would be a better SOLDIER."
"You're good enough for the both of us," you grumbled at his teasing. "Is there something coming up? It just seems like you've been training harder than usual recently."
"In three weeks, I will be leading a mission to Nibelheim to inspect a Mako reactor. It will be the first big mission for one of our newest First-Class SOLDIERs, so I must be prepared for anything that could go wrong."
"Nibelheim... that's a long journey. Aren't you worried you won't function well if you're not getting enough rest?"
Sephiroth paused before responding. "I'm more than capable of functioning under less-than-adequate circumstances. You shouldn't worry yourself over my being."
Sephiroth continued his vigorous training over the next few weeks, leaving little time for anything else aside when the Shinra scientists called for him. You could swear that his dark circles were growing more prominent by the day. At times, there were odd hours of the night that you strolled down the halls of Shinra, and for many of those you saw Sephiroth back in the training room. His energy seemed different during these nights; the way he moved was more ferocious, as if his body was overflowing with anger. Intimidated chills would run through your spine just watching as he sliced through simulated targets. It made you wonder what kinds of thoughts went through his mind, and why he was not sleeping as he normally would at that hour. You never lingered around long enough to express your concern to him however, finding it best to leave him alone.
The concern eventually grew into worry when one day Sephiroth had met with you for another sparring session. As collected as he always presented himself to be, today his mind seemed to be lost somewhere beyond consciousness. His words were short and he broke eye contact uncharistically early. Even his movements dragged a bit as he prepared himself to train with you, lacking his typical sophistication. You also did not fail to notice how his blinks had become slow and drawn out, like his eyelids had to fight to open.
There was something else upon further inspection. Was that puffiness around his eyes?
"Are you ready now?" You were broken out of your study of him when Sephiroth spoke to you, Masamune in hand.
"Hold on, I need to put on my armor."
He nodded as he set aside his weapon and turned away, finding a seat and crossing his arms over his chest. You shook your worry out of your head and attempted to shift your attention to equipping your gear. However, you kept looking back at Sephiroth and observing him quietly sitting, head looking down. Something about how quiet he was struck you as odd though. It was not until a minute had passed of him being still that you decided to walk over and check on him. Perhaps he was just being patient and enjoying the moment of relaxation, you thought.
You soon realized that was not the case, however, as Sephiroth made no sign of acknowledgement the closer you came towards him. He was always acutely aware of his surroundings, even off the battlefield. As you stepped in front of him, eyes on his slightly hung head, you noticed his shut eyes and lips that were parted just enough to release delicate breaths. His whole body, miraculously upright, swayed steadily in time with his breathing. You hesitated in place, unsure of what to do. Your gaze fixated on how sweetly his long eyelashes rested on his cheeks, begging you not to disturb him. Even relentless warriors were not impervious; Sephiroth, too, was a human who needed his rest. But the logic in you argued the consequences of leaving him, and so with bated breath you reached out and softly touched his shoulder.
"Sephiroth?" you said in a hushed voice, too quiet for untrained ears. You watched Sephiroth's body jolt in surprise, but as quick as he awoke he had composed himself as if to play off that he dozed at all.
"Have you prepared?" he asked as he rose from his seat, wasting no moment to address his dozing, and walked past you. You turned back and watched him, your eyebrows furrowed with concern.
As he reached out to retrieve his weapon, you stopped him with a hand over his arm.
"Seph."
Sephiroth stood in place, stilled by the rare shortening of his name, unmoving his arm from your grasp and eyes trailing away to an unknown plane. You studied his face for any signs of opposition to your interjection, and upon finding none you gently began to pull him.
To your amazement and relief, Sephiroth made no attempt to resist and allowed you to pull him out of the training room. The way was silent as you lead him through corridors and to his quarters, passing by the occasional SOLDIER. As soon as you entered and shut the door, you saw Sephiroth begin to remove his coat and shoulder armor like he had been waiting to. Your face flushed watching his upper body go bare and you averted your eyes out of decency. Although you both have seen each other on several particular nights, it was difficult to not feel sheepish looking at his nude figure when it looked as good as it did.
You heard the tumble of his boots against the floor and the rustling of bed sheets, and when you looked back to Sephiroth he had already crawled into his bedding. He sighed heavily as his head sank into his pillow, bringing one hand up to rub his weary eyes.
Feeling satisfied that he settled down, you readied to leave his room until your eyes landed on the lit lamp atop the nightstand beside his bed. Sparing him from turning it off himself, you walked over and reached to switch it off with a click. Glancing back at him one last time, you then again turned away to leave him to his deserved rest. At least, you attempted to leave.
You were stopped when Sephiroth murmured your name, and within an instant he had grabbed your wrist and pulled you down. The sudden action made you yelp as you lost balance and fell on top of him. With his other hand going to your lower back, you were pulled even lower until Sephiroth connected your lips together. It had transpired so quickly you could only stay shocked in place, but as your hand rested against his chest and his vibrant eyes fluttered shut you too melted into the moment. Soft lips moved languidly against yours and, pressing closer to deepen the kiss, you forgot why you had brought Sephiroth back to his room. You tilt your head and let his tongue greet yours enthusiastically, feeling his fingers dig into your back while you tangled one hand into his silky hair. Even while on edge of sleep, the arrogant bastard still found the energy to reel you in.
After a minute you broke away to catch your breath and gaze at Sephiroth. Despite your mouth now being free, you felt breathless looking down at him. His pale skin had become painted with the faintest shade of blush and his endless silver hair gathered around his head. If angels roamed the Planet, he would be living proof of it. At this close proximity, your skin ached to tenderly feel him and worship his being. You resisted, favoring to await for his next move.
Sephiroth's chest rose and fell slowly beneath you, unaffected by your weight over him. He moved his hand up to kindly touch your cheek, thumb gliding over the skin as you leaned into his palm.
"Stay," Sephiroth muttered. A soft command.
You eyes darted across his face in a daze as one half of your brain, now fogged with thoughts of Sephiroth, fought against the other half that brought him to his room in the first place. "Don't you need to sleep?"
He chuckled. "Don't get too excited. I will. I haven't been able to properly rest for some time now, but I believe having a comforting presence beside me might help change that."
Your heart raced at Sephiroth's request. This was the most vulnerable he was offering himself to be with you, and it made your soul grow warm in a way that paled any passionate moment you two had shared together. You nodded slowly and moved to slide under the blankets and join him. His arms opened, inviting you in, and you nestled yourself into his embrace comfortably. Your cheek pressed against his pectorals as his arms closed around you, securing you against his large frame. Sephiroth relaxed, releasing a sigh, and pressed his face into the top of your head, soft breathes tickling you. You wondered if you might overheat from the combined warmth of the blankets and Sephiroth's body against your clothed flesh. You did not dare move an inch, though.
Exhaustion dragged Sephiroth quickly into a deep slumber, but you remained awake in his arms. The steady beat of his heart in your ears, a reminder of the powerfully graceful man, was too loud for you to even think of drifting away. So you laid there, watching and letting him hold you close, as if you would ward off unseen evils. Funny that Sephiroth would need any protection. Sephiroth: the relentless First-Class who has never bled on the battlefield. He who could be mistaken as something other than human; a personal toy soldier for Shinra to use in their grand game. But he was human. After all...
Those silent tears that graced his sleeping face were the loudest expression of pain you had ever seen.

You Scare Me, Professor: Chapter 54
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is taking graduate classes at a local university in the wooded upstate New York. She is drawn to her professor, Dr. Joel Miller, though she is also inherently aware that he has something dark about him that she can't quite put her finger on. As the reader's attraction grows deeper, she has to decide whether to endure the danger or run away as fast as possible.
Pairing: Professor Joel Miller x f!reader
Dr. Miller’s castle - my home. It felt like a fortress away from the rest of the world. Neither of us had unpacked. We didn't sit or turn on the television or even a light. We just stood there in this lost, new world we were unwillingly thrust into.
My mind and body, alike, were tired. I didn't think I could accurately answer another question after the time I had spent with the police and investigators, and even a few stray reporters. I knew law enforcement needed every detail to assure Will would remain behind bars for the rest of his days, but I was spent; done.
Word had hit our area. The Lady Killer had been caught. The only thing that made me smile was the mention of James’s name. He had been the catalyst that led to Will’s reveal. We at least had backup from the local police surrounding Woodbridge, and it had to mean something for our testimonies.
“What's going to happen?” I asked quietly. I knew the question was vague, but I meant it in every single sense. Would Carol be okay? Would Chas’s injuries leave him with lingering health issues? Would Dr. Miller and I grow stronger from this or would we drift apart?
Dr. Miller walked up to me and touched my face in the way he always did. Without a word he left a single, gentle kiss on my lips.
“We take it day by day.”
I nodded and looked down. “I don't know what to do.”
“What do you mean?”
“How do we move forward from this? How do we ever get back to normal? Poor Carol..” I shook my head and allowed him to pull me into an embrace.
“Things are broken,” he spoke quietly near my ear. “We have to try to mend them - together.” Dr. Miller hesitated before pulling back and looking me in the eyes.
He appeared as if he was going to speak and then took a deep breath and flicked on a small lantern lamp beside his decanter of bourbon.
“Do you, uh..” Dr. Miller motioned to the liquor but I shook my head and sat down in a chair in the formal living room - the one where we shared our first glass of champagne together on my first night in the castle. I hadn't spent much time in here since.
He poured himself a small glass and sat across from me in an oversized, leather chair. Dr. Miller took another deep breath and leaned forward, swirling the bourbon around in circles in the glass. He took a sip and drew a hand across mouth before looking back up to meet my gaze.
“I killed Ace Deerfield.”
Deep down I knew that. I felt it from the second he had begun talking about his relationship with the dying, old man; but hearing him say it out loud was weighted differently. It made it real.
“Lou asked me to and then took the fall for it. He left me all of this in exchange for it.”
My eyes never left Dr. Miller’s; his never left mine. I responded honestly. “I know.”
“You know?”
“The possibility crossed my mind,” I admitted with a nod as tears welded up in my eyes. They sat comfortably there for a few seconds before falling. “I was never going to ask.”
“That's what my ex-wife was talking about. She kept my secrets but she couldn't handle being around me because of them.” His Adam's apple leaped in his throat and then settled back in place.
“Can you answer a question for me?” My voice never cracked.
Dr. Miller gave a solemn nod.
“I need to know,” I said quietly with an accompanied deep breath. “Where did you go that one night? The time when we slept in the bedroom with the glass ceiling and I got locked in? You were gone half the night and I had seen someone pull up in a car. They gave you an envelope-”
Dr. Miller glanced down and back up. “Someone paid me to kill Alec Pryor.”
“Alec Pryor..” It took me a second but the light bulb went off. “The original suspect in the Lady Killer case? But he’s alive.” I added, glancing away for just a second before catching his gaze again. “Right?”
Dr. Miller nodded. “I was all set to do it, too. I was sure it was him. I read the details of his sex crimes and it made me extra angry. So, I took the money. I left that night and I was sitting outside of his house. And then I thought of you. And us. I couldn't do it. I did it once for Lou. I had so many conversations with him and I was forced to type out every single word from that case. Ace was a bad man and not only did he rub it in that he got off for his crimes, but he was going to kill again.”
He took another sip of bourbon and went on.
“You don't have to stay with me,” Dr. Miller said, bowing his head. My bottom lip quivered when I saw tears fall from his eyes to the floor. “You deserve better than this; than me. But just know in this short time, you've made me a better man. Alec Pryor might be the scum of the earth but he didn't kill all those girls.. and he's alive because of you.”
I was speechless. I had nothing to offer back, but I realized this wasn't a conversation. It was a confession.
Dr. Miller couldn't look at me. He looked at the shadows on the wall behind the lantern and then the ceiling and the floor. He swirled the bourbon in his glass and swigged from it again with a huff of a breath.
After a lengthy period of silence, I rose to my feet. The faint squeak of the leather caused Dr. Miller to glance up for the first time in several minutes. I paced the short distance across the room to him and kneeled down before him. He appeared as though he was waiting for me to say something - anything; but I didn't have the words. For the first time in my life I didn't know what I was supposed to feel.
Supposed to feel? I questioned my own thought process and quietly asked myself: What do you feel?
I rested my head on his knees, using my folded arms as a pillow and a tear journeyed silently down my cheek. When Dr. Miller’s hand rested on the top of my head, my eyes closed and more tears fell.
I let out a deep exhale and laid there for a while, until my legs began to ache from the position that I sat. Still, I endured the discomfort. It was nothing in comparison to the internal agony I felt.
What was to come, I didn't know. But in that moment, this is all we could do. As the room grew darker with the fade of the overcast evening, I wasn’t surprised to hear the beginning of a steady rain rapping at the rooftops.
How dreadfully poetic.

Joel stopped in his tracks as he noticed a couple of runners, crowded around something laying on the floor. 'Great, another ditched supply run', He thought to himself, sighing quietly. Getting ready to head back to where him and Tommy's new refuge was, he took notice of the runners scurrying off, some other poor bastard left to suffer the same fate as they did. As he made his way into the drivers seat of the old truck, he took a minute to think of Sarah.
She would have been 18 today.
It was a sour day for Joel, but he had volunteered to go on the supply run to try and keep his mind off of his daughter. But then something - no, someone - caught his attention. He slowly got out of the drivers side of the truck, quietly and stealthily making his way over to inspect what the runners had been so brainlessly invested in.
Oh.
His heart dropped as he saw you, laying sleepingxcfvg  in a bloodied car seat with a blood stained diaper bag clipped to the handle. Joel could only have assumed the two previous runners to be who used to be your mother and father, and judging by the handwritten note tucked in beside you, it was obvious that they were hoping someone would find you and take you in, look after you. Joel knew he couldn't leave you, a defenceless baby, here, all on your own - he knew he'd be sealing your fate, and may as well have fed you to the runners himself. Almost as if acting on fatherly instinct, Joel gently picked up the carrier by the handle, the diaper bag with some essential baby supplies gently tapping off your feet. He put you beside him in the truck, facing him on the passenger seat, taking the note out of your carrier.
To whoever finds our Y/N.
She is 6 months old, please, please take care of her as you would your own. She is so loving, loves to be held and will smile at you if you smile at her too. Please, do not tell her about us and what we became, she does not deserve that - just know that we loved her for the short time that we had with her, please keep our girl safe.
Joel sighed sadly as he looked over at you, now awake, your eyes studying him to see if you would trust him - His heart oddly swelling when you giggled and smiled at him, blissfully unaware of the world you were unfortunate enough to be born into. But he had decided, he would do as your parents had asked and look after you, and raise you as his own.
-
Even with all of the sleepless nights that had come with raising you, Joel honestly wouldn't have traded it for a thing - Tommy had even noticed that Joel was slightly happier, which he didn't think it was possible for anyone to get happier in a world like this. You were now two, and Joel and Tommy had finally found a QZ that was stable enough that Joel could raise you in and try to give you some form of childhood.
"Daddy," You nudged Joel's shoulder, trying your hardest to wake him up. He grumbled in response, waving you off and telling you to wake him in five more minutes - you, however, had no concept of time, as a toddler. You gave it five seconds. "Daddy!" You yelled, a frustrated pout on your face. Joel chuckled as he lifted you up onto his bed.
"Good morning  to you too, baby," He said sleepily, wrapping both of his arms around you. He loved the moments like these, they reminded him of his daughter, who you reminded him of so much with your sass. "You sleep good?" Joel asked you, smiling as you nodded, wriggling out of his arms and jumping out of his bed.
"Daddy I wanna go outside," You whined, pointing out to the front door, bouncing on your feet as your looked at your dad. Joel was reluctant, he wasn't sure on how the infection worked in children as young as you, he didn't want to risk you falling victim to the infection that had already stolen so many lives. He got out of bed, picking you up as he left his bedroom.
"I'm not sure, baby girl," Joel told you, pouring you a bowl of cereal and using the last of the powered milk which he had sourced.  "Let me think about it, okay?" He offered you a compromise, even though he knew it was going to be a no. He felt like you were his second chance, so he would do anything to keep you safe. You nodded and finished off your cereal, handing the bowl back to Joel as you wiped your face of the milk that coated your lips. "All done?" He asked you. You nodded and smiled at him, he smiled back.
"Yeah, thank you daddy," You told him, holding your arms out for him to carry you. Joel obliged and picked you up from under your arms, holding you at his waist and resting your head on his shoulder. He could afford to have the day off with you, there wasn't much he could really do with you, it wasn't as if Disney World had post apocalyptic opening hours - But you were happy enough to have him just spend the day with you, even if you spent it doing nothing, you hardly really knew much different. "Can I stay in my jammas today daddy?" You asked him, pulling the most innocent face you could. Joel couldn't resist it, he couldn't say no to your little face. You somehow managed to remind him that even in the dark days that this infection so often brought, that you, with your childish innocence, would brighten up those dark days.
"Of course baby, you can stay in your pyjamas today," He assured you, smiling as he started pulling your hair back into a pony tail, he knew you didn't like it in your face. "We can have a relaxed day today, okay?" He offered you, smiling as you nodded and cuddled into him. Joel didn't know how long you had been awake for before you decided to wake him up, but you must have been up for a good while, as indicated by the yawn and stretch you let out. "Are you tired, baby girl?" You nodded and cuddled into your dad, indicating that you didn't want to go to your bed to sleep. Joel rubbed your back as you dozed off to sleep in his lap, your head bobbing as you drifted off. He could have moved, put you to your own bed so he could go to work, but he wouldn't break his promise to you. So he sat with you on his lap, holding you as you slept peacefully in his arms.
He sometimes wondered if you ever doubted that Joel was your father, but then he realised that you hadn't known anything other than him, he would think of an excuse if you ever asked about your real parents, he would tell you the truth. But he hoped that you wouldn't, that you would always consider him your actual father.

Month 12 - Leafbare
Time was hard to hold onto these days. Scorch blinked and suddenly spring had arrived, cautiously thawing out the gardens and poking its flowers up through the soil. If she thought back, she could remember that she had spent the time studying to become an interpreter in between visits from Razor but the actual experiences of those moments tended to feel fuzzy and loose. She was grateful that she somehow managed to hold onto the knowledge of interpreting.
The act fascinated her. Each Name Charm was marked with symbols that the Folk used to convey meaning and slowly, she was learning to interpret it. Confined in her house as she was, Portia wasn’t able to do much teaching so she had put a young molly named Marmalade in charge of teaching Scorch how to understand the symbols.
Marmalade took Scorch through the neighborhood, usually with another cat along to ‘escort’, and showed her the symbols in different places. Now that they were pointed out to her, Scorch couldn’t stop seeing them. They were on the corner poles and the fronts of houses and the sides of cars and nearly every wall in the downtown area had some cluster of them somewhere. Marmalade would teach her what they said and then teach her how each symbol made up a piece of the meaning. She learned how to recognize the individual symbols wherever they appeared in the clusters and how there were two versions of each symbol for some reason.
It was honestly exciting. She couldn’t believe that all her life there had been meaning spread across the surface of the world and she hadn’t even known. When she was at home, when time was the most solid, she would wander around, discovering all of the different symbols in her home and trying to interpret them. They were everywhere, on the food boxes and her dish and flashing across the magic window that her Folk would watch and the pages in the kits’ rooms and the warm thing the adult human pawed at on her lap and even though Scorch didn’t know what some of the words meant, she knew their pieces and that felt like power.
It wasn’t power that helped her much, though. Being an Interpreter did come with a certain amount of prestige. She and Marmalade were sometimes sent to deliver blessings from the Folk. They would go to cats who were ill in their homes or to new mothers and their kittens and bestow gifts upon them. Cats always thanked them and looked up at them with worshipful gazes. They parted to allow them through. Chaff asked them for blessings as they passed and thanked them profusely when Marmalade bid them “be well.” Yes, there was definitely power there, but it never did anything to get rid of the babysitters that followed her everywhere she went.
And it never stopped Razor from calling on her.
Today, after an Interpreters’ meeting in Portia’s garden, he had arrived to collect her, all toothy smiles and pet names and suffocating touches. She purred and fell in beside him and let go of her grasp on time. He’d invited her to accompany him to another meeting, this one about the warfront, and she had agreed.
Now she found herself draped against his side as he lounged in the grass of his own backyard. Several toms sat around in a circle, discussing strategy. All of them, except for Ghost, were Exalted.
“Hunting operations are continuing as planned,” Oreo was saying. “We’ll have to increase our presence, though, if we want to account for spring prey numbers.”
“Do you think we’ll still be able to starve them out?” Razor asked thoughtfully.
“I do,” Oreo nodded. “The Chaff are hungry enough, the only problem is the risk of getting attacked by wild cats. We need to find a way to make it seem like the threat is minimal if we want them hunting in droves.”
Ghost cleared his throat and said, “From what my cats have been saying, most encounters can end without bloodshed as long as we don’t antagonize the Clans. If a cat apologizes and leaves they’ll get a torn ear at most. If you’d like, I can spread the word about-”
“No,” Razor rumbled darkly and Scorch felt her throat tighten. “No, we’re not going to teach the Chaff that they should run from these savages. We won’t show weakness like that when that territory is our right.”
“But, sir,” Ghost shifted uncomfortably, “most of my cats aren’t fighters.”
“Then pair them with fighters,” Razor said as if it were obvious. “If they need protection, give it to them.”
Ghost’s throat labored for a moment before he said, “Yes, sir.”
“I think it might also be a good idea to take a more proactive approach,” said Sardine, a younger tom who had only recently been allowed into these kinds of meetings. “You know what they say: the best defense is a good offense.”
Razor smiled and nodded in his direction. “I’m listening.” Scorch listened too, with bated breath.
Sardine continued. “Part of the reason the Slaughter of Sycamore was such a decisive loss was because our position wasn’t easily defensible. The wild cats had the home turf advantage and, given their surprisingly large numbers, I reason they must have had somewhere to organize themselves before the attack. If we could take that location for ourselves, we would have a much stronger foothold from which to orchestrate our campaign. We could even move a number of chaff to the front full time.”
Scorch repressed a shiver as the image of Razor and his followers carving their way through RisingClan’s camp flashed through her mind. The calm, detached manner in which Sardine said it rubbed her fur the wrong way. It was almost like he didn’t care that he was toying with the lives of cats on both sides.
“And how would you propose we do that?” frowned Tiger, his muscles rippling under his pelt as he shifted forward. “We have no idea how far that location might be and clearly inching our way bit by bit doesn’t work.”
“It could,” Oreo countered. “Another big reason we lost that battle was because of the snow storm and we’ll have all summer to retake that ground.”
“We’ll still be out in the open,” Tiger growled. “I don’t like it.”
“Please,” Razor said, his chest rumbling smoothly against Scorch’s side, “I’m sure Sardine has a plan. Don’t you?” He tilted his head to regard the young cat and Scorch heard the familiar undertone in his voice that said ‘this is a test.’
Sardine smiled and said, “I do. I propose we form strike teams of three to six cats and wait for the ‘border patrols’ to come by then kill as many cats as we can.” Scorch swallowed. “Soon enough, their numbers will weaken and falter and we will be able to find and clear out one of their bases and take it for our own, thus acquiring a proper encampment from which to stage our own assault.”
“Not a bad strategy,” Razor complimented and one of Sardine’s ears twitched in satisfaction. “What do we think, boys?” He looked around the circle, one brow raised. Scorch did likewise, trying to keep her expression passive as she judged their reactions.
“It could work…” Oreo hummed skeptically.
Ghost shifted, a grimace on his face, and said, “This all assumes that they have a fortified location we could use. There’s no way to know if that's the case. They could live in scattered nests or isolated burrows.”
“Who cares,” Tiger brushed him off. “Even if there isn’t some central location we can take over, I think the effort put into the strike teams would be worth it.” He smirked and looked at Razor. “I wouldn’t mind the opportunity for a bit of extermination.” Scorch’s blood ran cold. Tiger seemed to notice and his eyes twitched over to meet hers. She quickly ducked her gaze and leaned away to nestle her cheek into Razor’s fur demurely.
“We would need to be careful,” Ghost said. “The wild cats are a lot stronger than we first thought. I’m not sure many of my cats could go blow for blow with them for long.”
“They don’t need to,” Oreo said simply. “If we get enough of them in a group they’ll be able to wear the wild cats down even if they take losses.” Scorch spared a glance at Ghost to see his jaw working. He was furious. Still, he was hiding it well, she thought. It was only her experience with him that let her recognize the subtle tensing of the muscles in his neck and the way his tail tip was poised to start twitching if he let it.
Razor seemed to notice too and said, “True, but there’s no need to be so wasteful if we can afford not to be. It’s our job to look out for the Chaff, is it not?”
Oreo’s whiskers twitched and he looked down. Tiger huffed softly through his nose.
Sardine nodded and said, “Indeed. Perhaps combat training could be provided?”
Razor smiled. “Good idea,” he said. “Why don’t you and Ghost organize training for the most promising candidates. Once you both feel satisfied with their progress, we can start implementing these strike teams, yeah?”
“Sounds good,” Sardine said, glancing at Ghost. Ghost grunted affirmatively, his jaw still clenched.
“Good,” Razor said, moving to stand. Scorch stood as well, pressing close to him and keeping her head low to avoid too much attention. “Is there anything else we needed to discuss?”
“No, I don’t think so,” Oreo said, standing as well. Tiger and Ghost both shook their heads.
Sardine took a step forward. “Actually, Razor, I was wondering if I could have a private word?”
“Of course,” Razor said, jerking his head towards the rose bush in the corner of the yard. Tail brushing across Scorch’s belly, he leaned into her ear and said, “Wait here for me, would you, dear?”
Scorch chuckled to hide the shudder of disgust that went through her. “Always.” His smile widened and he ran his tongue over her cheek and up her brow before gesturing to Sardine and padding off to the rose bush. She was tempted to try and eavesdrop but knew that she wouldn’t be able to get close enough without being seen.
In addition, she had a more important task to see to. She looked over at the others. Oreo and Tiger had started off across the lawn together, talking amongst themselves. Ghost sat still, his eyes closed as he breathed slowly in and out. Scorch cast one glance over her shoulder to make sure Razor was occupied then slipped over to stand next to Ghost. His whiskers twitched as she drew near and he opened his newly scarred eye to look at her.
“What do you want?” he grumbled. His eyes also darted over her shoulder to where Razor and Sardine were talking.
“I wanted to apologize,” she said softly, offering a smile. “I was under quite a lot of stress last time we talked and I did a lot of things that I am not proud of.” She held her breath, hoping he bought it. This part was integral if she was going to accomplish what she needed to.
He scowled at her. “You nearly got me in serious trouble, you know that?”
“I do,” she winced, hoping she looked sufficiently remorseful. “I’m sorry, Ghost. Really.” He stared at her for another long moment before sighing, his gaze softening a touch.
“I appreciate it,” he said, looking her over. She smiled and sat down. Good. He had never been able to stay mad at her for long.
“I did mean what I said about looking out for Smokyrose,” she whispered. “If you helped me escape, I could bring them a warning.”
Ghost shook his head. “And then what? My cats get killed instead? No, I can’t do that.” Scorch felt anger rising in her again. There was always an excuse with him, wasn’t there, some reason why he couldn’t do what she needed him to. She focused on keeping calm, though. Trying to threaten him hadn’t worked at all. She needed to use a softer touch.
She shifted closer, her eyes big and sincere, and said, “Then I’ll tell the Clans not to kill the Chaff. Goldenstar would listen. She took in Scrap despite my warnings. If she can spare a life, she will, I promise.”
“So Scrap is safe then,” he said as if he’d caught her in a lie. Scorch tried not to let her irritation get the better of her. Like he cared about Scrap at all.
“Yes,” she said, smiling. “And I can make sure that she stays that way. Both her and Smokyrose.” Instinctively, she brushed her tail tenderly over his, satisfied by the way he tensed and then relaxed under her touch. “Please, Ghost. Won’t you help me?” She tried to make her eyes water as she held his gaze. Hopefully he would prove as predictable as always and be unable to resist the pleadings of a woman who needed him.
She watched him thinking. His eyes darted down to her paws like he wanted to place one of his own on top of them. He leaned forward almost imperceptibly, their whiskers almost close enough to touch. His mouth opened, a hesitant word on his tongue, and she felt her spirits soar. Yes! She had won! She had-
His eyes flickered over her shoulder and a scowl returned. “Razor is watching,” he said. Bile swelled to overtake her lifted spirits and drag them back down to the pit of her stomach. She knew better than to look over her shoulder or quickly fix her posture. She licked her lips and very carefully sat back.
“Think about it,” she said. “You know where to find me.” At this point, she could hear Razor coming her way. She let one ear twitch back, then stood and turned to face him, hiding all evidence that she had been touching Ghost. She smiled fondly at Razor and moved to meet him, butting her head against his chest.
“Ghost,” Sardine said, a dubious tilt to his voice, “Shall we talk logistics?”
Ghost cleared his throat and nodded, standing. “Yes. Let’s.” Stiffly, he turned and followed the younger tom and Scorch cursed him in her head. He was being too obvious!
Razor curled around her, his brows furrowed, and asked, “What was that all about?” As he did, he nosed the fur on the back of her neck and she went rigid at the touch, heart suddenly hammering.
“I was urging Ghost to have faith in your leadership,” she lied, trying to turn her head to look at him, but he opened his mouth and gently placed his teeth against her scruff and she immediately froze again. A purr rumbled through him and he removed his teeth. This time, she stayed exactly where she was.
“Is that all?” he murmured warmly against her skin. “It seemed like there was more to it than that.” He padded slowly around her, always keeping some part of him in contact with her.
Scorch fixed her eyes on the rose bush as she spoke. “Maybe for him,” she said. “You know he never really got over me.”
“Mm,” Razor hummed, unsatisfied.
Scorch swallowed. “But I promise, things were strictly professional. I have no interest in any other kind of relationship with someone like him.”
Razor came back around to look at her face again and she dared to turn her head to meet his gaze. “Not even a little?” he asked, “for old times’ sake?”
“No, of course not!” She promised with a worried expression. “Razor, I’m yours now. That’s all I could ever want.”
Razor looked her over and then sighed with a dejected glance downward. “I know. I just… after you went missing and everything…” He shifted his weight and sat down. “It feels like you sometimes don’t think about how your actions affect me. I do so much to make sure you’re taken care of and it’s like you don’t even care.”
“No, Razor,” she swallowed and stepped in to wrap herself around him instead, “of course I care! I’m so sorry I’ve made you feel that way.” She knew his game. This trick was the oldest in the book. But she had no choice but to play along. “How can I prove how much I love you, honey?”
Razor leaned into her touch with another sigh. “Just… promise you won’t talk to Ghost anymore?” he asked tiredly. “It would make me feel so much better if I didn’t have to worry about him and you.”
“Of course,” Scorch promised, pressing her forehead against his. “If that’s what you want, I’ll try and avoid him.”
“It is,” he purred. “Thank you, Gingersnap.”
“Anything for you,” she swallowed.
“Why don’t I walk you home,” he offered, pulling back to meet her gaze again.
“Oh, that’s alright,” she shook her head. “I can get back just fine on my own.”
“No, no, I insist,” he said, standing up. “I’ll feel a lot better if I know you got home safe.”
Scorch sighed. It had been worth a try. Smiling, she tried to play her reaction off as fondness and said, “Alright then. Whatever you want, dear.”

Another Hotchniss filth age gap idea for you bestie: How about Dave is emily's father figure (not necessarily her step-dad but he has always been there when her real parents weren't) and Aaron is his best friend….so she's essentially fucking her dad's best friend haha
A/N: Bestie you know I love the AU’s and the age difference so you KNEW this was right up my alley lol. I hope you like our idiots being filthy together!
Title: From boys to men  Summary: From the moment Emily meets Aaron she knows that she has to have him, she doesn’t care that he’s older than her, doesn’t care that he’s Dave’s best friend. She wants him. Word count: 3,8k Rating: Explicit   Warnings: Smut, oral sex, dirty talk, choking, age difference, (Emily is 22, Aaron is 40-ish)
“Bella!”
The familiar sound of Dave’s voice makes her hurry downstairs from where she had been packing up the last few things that she still had in her parents’ home.
“Dave!” She beams and happily accepts the tight hug and kiss to her cheek. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, kiddo.”
Dave had been in her life as long as she could remember, a close friend to her parents and the one who she had come to know as a second father. In some ways he had always been the one to look out for her, even when she didn’t want it. They had only gotten closer when she moved back to the states for college. And now she was moving to her own apartment, her dorm room all packed up and she was starting a new part of her life, a part she was excited for.
“Have you got everything you need?” Dave asks just as a second figure appeared in the doorway and Emily swore she had never seen a more attractive man. “Oh right, Emily this is Aaron, one of my best friends. He’s kind enough to help out.”
“Like you’d be able to carry all those boxes without breaking your back, old man.” Aaron says causing Dave to feign hurt.
“Hey, you might be a decade younger but I am still wiser.” Dave jokes and Emily rolls her eyes. She had heard that before.
“Oh right, that’s how it goes.” Aaron teases gently and smiles at her while extending his hand. “Aaron Hotchner.”
“Emily Prentiss.” She takes his hand and shakes it, eyes locked on his. “Thanks for helping out.” When she pulls her hand back her palm tingles, the heat of his hand feeling like a brand on her skin.
“We should get going.” Dave interrupts, seemingly oblivious to the way Emily can’t tear her eyes off his best friend. “So we have time to unpack the heavy stuff and then I was thinking I’d treat you to dinner?” He looks between Aaron and Emily, his smile as kind as always.
“Sounds perfect.” She says and she sees Aaron nodding in her peripheral.
It was going to be a great day.
“So, how do you feel about living on your own?” Dave asked, chopsticks in hand. She smirked at him, knowing that he was more worried about her than anything else.
“It’ll be fine Dave, no need to worry.” She leaned back in her seat. “It’s like I’m an adult now.”
“You can’t blame me, you’re the closest thing I have to a daughter. And you’re barely an adult.” He shrugged and as much as she tried, she couldn’t keep herself from smiling.
“I’m 22 years old!” She laughs but secretly she loves that he cares for her in this way, her parents never did. “I’ll be okay, besides you’re 20 minutes away, it’s closer than when I was at Yale.”
“Yeah but-” The sound of Dave’s phone ringing cut him off and he sighed. “Sorry, I gotta take this.”
“Never met a busier man.” Aaron said once they were alone and she nodded as she looked at him from across the table.
She had spent most of the afternoon looking at him, feeling her mouth go dry by the way he effortlessly lifted heavy boxes, felt tingles down her spine as she watched his large hands flex as he helped her move the couch, she wondered what his hands would feel like on her body.
“So Aaron,” She made sure to put on a face of innocence “how do you know Dave?”
“We used to work together, before he retired.” Aaron leaned back slightly in his seat as he spun noodles around his chopsticks. “He trained me.”
“Oh, so you’re working for the FBI?” She made sure to keep eye contact, trying to size him up.
“Yeah, the behavioral analysis unit.” He smiled easily and Emily found herself wanting to press a finger against the dimple in his cheek.
“No wonder you carried those boxes like they weighed nothing.” When one of his eyebrows arched she let out a breathy laugh. “Of course I noticed, how could I not?” She batted her eyelashes and she could see him swallowing and then cleared his throat.
“I’m flattered.” He said and looked down at his plate. He should not find a girl more than 15 years younger than him this attractive, he should not wonder what her lips tasted like or imagine the softness of her skin.
“Sorry about that.” Dave is suddenly there, sitting down and Aaron breathes a sigh of relief.
He could not go there with Emily, she was off limits.
It’s been three weeks since she moved and Aaron and Dave had both popped in to help out around the apartment, building furniture and painting walls even when she had told them both that she didn’t need their help. But she wasn’t going to argue too much, because seeing Aaron always ended with her hand between her legs later that night as she thought of him. She knew that he had caught on to the flirting, but he was still keeping his distance.
What he didn’t know was that what Emily wanted, she got. And she wanted him.
It was a warm Sunday when she got home from lunch with a friend. When she entered her apartment it was bordering on suffocatingly hot and she quickly made her way towards the AC. To her frustration it was dead and she had no idea what was wrong with it. She groaned as she pushed her hair out of her face.
“Great.” She muttered and reached for her phone to call Dave.
“Hey kiddo.” He sounded unusually happy she thought.
“Hey Dave, I have a question. What do you know about AC’s?” She started to move around the apartment to open the windows.
“Absolutely nothing.” He chuckled when she let out a sound of annoyance. “Besides, I’m in LA for the weekend, coming back tomorrow. But call Aaron, he might be able to help.”
Well that got her in a great mood.
“Okay, thanks.”
“Anytime Bella.”
She hung up and made her way towards her bedroom to change as she called Aaron.
“Aaron Hotchner.” He sounded distracted she thought.
“Hey, Aaron it’s Emily.” She kicked off her jeans and tore of her t-shirt as she kept him on speakerphone.
“Emily, are you alright?” She could hear the pause in his voice and she didn’t blame him.
“Yeah I’m fine, but my AC is out and I don’t know how to fix it and Dave is gone this weekend but he suggested that I could call you… Do you think you could come over?” She bit her bottom lip as she waited for his response that seemed to take forever.
“I can be there in an hour.”
Game on.
Almost exactly 60 minutes to the dot later, he was knocking on her door. When she opened it she saw the quick look of surprise on his face at the state of her undress. She had decided on a thin tank top and the shortest shorts she owned, blaming it on the heat if he dared to bring it up.
“Thank you for coming.” She smiled and gestured for him to come inside.
“Not a problem, hopefully I can figure it out.” As he moved towards the AC, she sat down on the couch.
“I’ll call someone tomorrow if you can’t.” She let her eyes move over him, he really was a stunning man. She wasn’t sure if he heard her, his focus already on the AC as he looked it over.
It didn’t take long, Aaron pushing buttons and looking over some of the wires before the buzz of the AC sounded through the apartment and Aaron laughed.
“Well, that was quick enough.” He said, his eyes lingering on her smooth thighs for a moment before forcing himself to look away.
“Sorry you had to drive all the way here for that.” She stood from the couch and batted her eyelashes as she slowly licked her bottom lip. When his eyes fastened on it she knew that she hadn’t imagined the way he had been looking at her.
“Not a problem. But now it’s fixed so I-” His words are cut off by the feeling of Emily’s hands pushing him against the wall. She’s so close that he can smell her perfume, could count her freckles and he knows that he should push her away, but he doesn’t.
“What are you doing?” He asks instead, voice low and the raspiness of it lets her know that he’s not unaffected by her proximity.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” She pushes up against him and he backs harder into the wall. With a smirk on her face she tilts her head as she looks up at him.
“We can’t.” He shakes his head, tries to rid himself of her perfume and soft body against his. Then her hand lands on his chest and he watches as she slowly moves it up to gently grab the back of his neck. When her nails scratch the base of his skull he swallows down a groan.
“Why not?” She doesn’t let his words deter her, she could feel his want pressing against her hip, could see how his pupils dilated.
“You’re too young.” He gets out through a clenched jaw and she laughs at his reply. “And you’re basically Dave’s daughter.”
“I won’t tell if you won’t” She tugs slightly on his short hair and his hands grab her hips in response. But he doesn’t push her away, and she knows she has him. “I want you. And I know you want me too.”
“Emily…” His fingers flex around her hips as he tries to keep some resemblance of control. But there’s no denying the want he feels when he looks at her, the attraction that had been clear the moment they met. When he opened his eyes she was even closer, her lips almost brushing against his. “I should have known you were trouble from the start.”
“You have no idea.” She whispers and then her lips press against his. The moment they kiss Aaron seems to give in fully, his hands moving from where they had been frozen on her hips to the small of her back, pulling her further into him. When his tongue licked at the seam of her lips she moaned softly and she swore she heard a sound of satisfaction from him.
He pushed her back, breaking their embrace and when he looked at her again, her breathing hitched. The hesitation that had previously been there was long gone as he looked at her with something dark, his eyes moving over her body slowly, deliberately and she felt her cheeks flush.
“What?” She finally asked, almost squirming under the intensity of his stare.
“You really are a gorgeous thing.” He muttered and caught her lips in another kiss, his hand firm around the back of her neck while the other sneaked under her tank top. He broke the kiss only to taste the skin of her jaw, her neck, taking note of what spots made her gasp and moan.
“Take of your shirt.” He said and Emily let out a breathy chuckle.
“So this is how this is going to go? You barking orders at me?”
“Yes.” The tone of voice was firm, determined, his face stern as he stared her down and she could feel her cheeks heating at the same time as heat settled as a dull ache between her legs. It’s his turn to smirk, happy with how fast the tables turned. “You don’t think I can’t tell that’s what you really want? What you crave?”
She swallowed hard when his fingers tangled in her hair, giving her a moment before pulling back, forcing her head back and she gasped.
“There she is.” He mumbled against her jaw. “See you’re not as good as you make yourself out to be in front of others, are you?”
“Aaron,” Her hands were fisting his shirt, close to ripping the fabric. In a matter of seconds he had taken complete control and she had never wanted anyone more. “Please.”
“Please what?” He nipped at her bottom lip, tugging it between his teeth and pulled lightly.
“More, fuck anything.” She breathed and he let go of her hair with a hum of satisfaction.
“Come on.” He put just enough distance between them to take her hand in his and dragged her towards the bedroom. When he turned back to her he quickly grabbed the hem of her top and pulled it over her head, a low groan sounding in his throat when he saw that she wasn’t wearing a bra. “Naughty girl.”
She didn’t get the time to respond, his lips once again on hers as they started to tear at clothes. Her hands moved over his strong chest, enjoyed the heat of his skin and the feel of his chest hair against her palms before moving further down to work on his jeans. With some help from him, she got them off, his jeans and boxers landing in a pile on the floor and her shorts soon following.
The sound that ripped from his throat when she wrapped her hand around his painfully hard shaft sent tingles along her body, and she knew she needed to hear it again. She pulled him into another kiss, only licking over his bottom lip for a moment before continuing to kiss down his jaw. His stubble was rough against her lips, a feeling she enjoyed until Aaron’s heavy hand pushed in her shoulder, urging her further down.
When her knees hit the floor with a soft thump she looked up at him with wide eyes, her hand still stroking him.
“Open your mouth Emily.” He pushes his thumb between her lips and when her tongue circles the pad of it he smiles. “Good girl.” He pulls his thumb out and gives her a nod and it’s the only thing she needs before she takes his cock in between her lips.
Her mouth is wet and hot and he hisses at the sudden pleasure as she licks around the tip of him, tasting his precum with a sigh before moving further down. He throws his head back as she takes more of him, he’s sure he’s never felt a more wicked mouth around him.
Emily keeps her eyes on him, gauges his reactions and feels smug as he groans and swears above her. Like he senses it he looks back at her, and his fingers tangle in her hair again. The scratch of his short nails against her scalp makes her moan and his hips buckles against her face in return to the vibrations around his shaft.
“Can you take it all?” He growls, fingers tightening slightly as she licks the length of him. She isn’t sure she can, he’s thick and long but she was damn well going to try so she nods. Her lips wraps around him again, and she slowly pushes forward, making sure to flick her tongue and relax her throat.
“Fuck, just like that.” He doesn’t push her forward, watches in awe as she chokes and her eyes turn glassy. “Gorgeous.” He mumbles, more to himself than anything as he watches how she pulls back to breathe and then takes him back in her mouth. This time she doesn’t stop until the entire length of him has disappeared and when she chokes, he groans at the way her throat contracts around him.
She pulls back gasping, a tear falling from her eye and he carefully brushes it away and she smiles, proud that she had done what he asked. As she tries to continue, his fingers tighten in her hair and she hisses at the pull.
“Come here.” He gasps and effortlessly pulls her up to stand again. His hands move over her body, taking in every curve and valley as he lays her on the bed. He listens to her moans as he sucks on a nipple, watches the flush on her skin as he touches her everywhere except where she wants. She tries to turn them, but he’s too strong and easily pins her down with a slight shake of his head. He licks between the valley of her breasts, sucks hard on her collarbone, making her mewl. When her legs spread for him he smiles against the skin of her neck.
“What do you need?” He whispers, one hand moving between her legs, gripping the soft skin of her thigh and then slowly moving further up.
“You.” She pants, her body feeling like it was on fire from his lips and touch. She could barely think, let alone form words and for a brief moment she wonders if this is what madness felt like. Then his fingers move through her, slowly, carefully and her hips twitch.
“So wet, all for me.” He wants to taste her, wants to make her fall apart again and again but his own need to feel her wins out and he quickly rolls between her spread legs. He groans at the heat of her against him, lets the length of him move against her as he claims her lips in a breathless kiss.
“Aaron, please.” She whimpers, and he knows that the sound of her begging him will stay with him forever. He keeps his eyes on hers when he pushes inside of her, wants to see the pleasure on her face. Her jaw turns slack, her eyes drift close and a moan, breathy and loud falls from her lips and he can’t help the way his hips snap in response.
Her legs wrap around his waist, causing him to go deeper inside of her and he groans lowly. He moves with long strokes, each of his thrusts met by her moving hips. She clings to him, her nails digging into his back as he fucks her hard enough for her body to jolt. The sounds that come from her are breathy and deep and unfamiliar to her, the pleasure he’s causing almost overwhelming.
“God you’re so fucking tight.” He rasps and she can only whine in response as he sneaks a hand between them to rub her clit. When her eyes roll back and her back arches into him, he takes advantage and sucks on one of her nipples.
It’s not long before she starts to feel the coiling in her belly, and she knows that Aaron feels the way she’s clenching around him when he looks down at her with a smug grin.
“If you stop I’ll kill you.” She breathes and he chuckles but he doesn’t stop.
“Already so close. It’s going to be fun to see how many times I can get you to fall apart for me.” His voice has dropped even further, his own arousal clear as he speaks. He moves up on his knees, continues to rub her clit and holds her hip with his other hand, keeping her in place as he pushes deep and hard inside of her.
She comes in only a few moments, tensing and shaking at the same time as she cries out loud enough that she knows the neighbors would be able to hear. It only seems to spur him on, his thumb insistent on her clit, and hips strong as he fucks her through it.
“One more.” He growls and she whimpers but nods. There wasn’t a doubt in her mind that he’d make her come again.
He grunts when she starts to clench around him again in no time at all and he rubs her clit faster. Watching Emily come might be the most erotic thing he’s ever seen and he knew right then that this wouldn’t be a one-time thing. She comes with a groan, hips buckling and head thrown back as she moans his name.
It isn’t until she’s sucking in desperate breaths of air that he slows to let her come down from her high. When her eyelids finally flutter open, her dark eyes are hazy and there’s a lazy smile on her lips.
“Let me ride you.” She says and he nods before laying down.
He watches with dark eyes as she straddles him, lets his hand rest on her hips as she starts to slowly grind on him.
“You’re so big.” She gasps, the fill of him close to painful as she moves above him. Her eyes find his, sees the same pleasure reflected in his eyes that she feels and she smiles.
“I know, baby.” He whispers as he enjoys the view of her on top of him. “You’re doing so good.”
“I want you to come inside of me.” She plants her hands on his chest and starts to move faster, lifting herself up and down. “I want to feel it.”
“Jesus Christ.” He grunts, his hips pushing up against her in response. “Make me come then, filthy thing.”
Emily keeps her hands on his chest as she grinds and rocks her hips above him, wanting him to feel as good as he had made her feel. When his hands grip her hips harder she knows he’s getting close and she lets him help her move. Then one hand moves from her hip to wrap around her neck and she gasps as she looks down at him, finding the look on his face close to wild.
“Fuck, that’s it.” He growls as he squeezes slightly around her neck. “Gonna come inside of you, pretty thing, don’t stop.”
She doesn’t. If anything her movements become frenzied, the feeling of his hand around her throat and the feeling of him inside of her driving her crazy. When his hand tightens and he groans her name she whines, the sound of his name falling from her lips and it’s the last nudge he needs before his hips stutter against her and he comes with a loud grunt.
His hands loosen and she switches to slowly roll her hips against his, drawing out his pleasure until he stops her with a breathless laugh.
“Give me 30 minutes and then we’re doing that again.” He says and she feels another rush of arousal settle in her belly.
“What’s the matter, old man?” She teases and he laughs.
“Do not even think about acting like a brat right now.” He pinches her side and she jerks before settling back over his lap, happy to watch him as he catches his breath.
“So, we’re doing this again?” She asks with smiles as she looks down at him.
“Oh yes, we’re definitely doing this again.” He gently pulls her down to kiss her. “There’s no way I’m letting go of you.”

New World🍂Part.3
Summary:You’ve made it to the cdc and a drunken night changes things between you and Daryl, but will it change your friendship for the better or worse?
Part.2
•Masterlist•
Tumblr media
The CDC was our last resort and after screaming and beginning we got in and everything finally felt secure, Jenner showed us to the rooms and even said there was hot water
You threw your bag on the bed as Daryl was setting up the spare couch in the room
“What are you doing?” You asked confused
“Settin up the bed, I ain’ sleepin on the floor”
“And you’re not sleeping in the couch, after sharing a sleeping bag for weeks I think we can share a bed Daryl” you laughed
“Fine” he huffed as he threw himself on the bed, putting his arms behind his head
“Do you wanna take a shower first?”
“Nah go ahead imma look around this place, maybe find us somethin ta drink” he said
So you got some clothes and hopped in the shower and god did it feel good, to finally get all the builds up dirt and grime of your skin. You finished up quickly not wanting to hog all the water and saw Daryl back on the bed with a bottle of what looked like to be some kind of liquor
“Ya want some?” He asked after he took a gulp of it
Usually you’d decline but why not, you found somewhere and you needed a night of relaxation, so you jumped on the bed next to him and took the bottle
You tipped it back and the liquid burned going down
“Ugh that’s awful” you whined handing it back over
~~~~~~~~
Dinner came around so you both went down and enjoyed a fun night with the group, you could feel the alcohol kicking it and it helped you unwind
You could see Daryl was too, he was a definite chatter box when he got tipsy and you always thought it was cute, but I mean he was always kinda like that with you but seeing him open up around others was nice
“Drink up Glenn I wanna see how red yer face’ll get” he said making you laugh
As everyone slowly dispersed you took Daryl’s hand stopping him from his conversation with T.dog
“Wanna go to our room D?” You asked a little bit slurred
“Sure sunshine” he said taking your hand and leading you up to the room with the bottle still in his hand
He plopped down on the bed and put the bottle on the night stand as you stripped from you pants leaving you in one of Daryl’s night shirts and climbed in bed
You turned on your side as he did and you both just looked at each other
“Daryl why are you so beautiful?” You said making him laugh
“I think yer drunk peach” he said putting his hand on you hip
“I know I am, but that doesn’t make me a liar, you really are gorgeous, makes me wish I was one of those lucky ladies you’d hang out with back in school” you were too drunk your filter was gone
“Ya know I never did anything other than make out with them”
“Well they were lucky enough to get atleast some action from The Daryl Dixon” you could see the blush reach his ears and cheeks
“Are ya serious right now?” He asked as you put you hand through his hair
“Of course i think I’ve always had feelings for you, just think they’ve grown as we got older”
“Yer gonna regret all this tomorrow”
“No im not, im just hoping you won’t look at me any different, i still need you Daryl even if you don’t feel the same”
“Ya know why I never went further with any of em?”
“Whys that?” You mumbled
“Cuz they weren’ you”
You knew this was hard for him to say he wasn’t very vocal about his feelings
“I’m glad I decided to have lunch with you that day”
“I am to sunshine, lucky every day” he said as he pulled you closer and kissed the top of your head as you both feel asleep feeling the alcohol take over
~~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up to the sun shining in your eyes and a pounding headache, you sat up rubbing your eyes hoping this headache will go away soon, looking beside you when you heard a groan to see a tired Daryl
“How’re you feeling D?” You asked as he sat up beside you
“ ‘bout as good as I look”
“So amazing” you joked then remembering everything that happened last night
“Stop that” he groaned as he got up and put on his shoes
Maybe he didn’t remember everything, maybe that was a good thing last thing you’d want is for him to be awkward around you and distance himself
You both went down and thankfully breakfast was already made and you were desperate for food to heal this hangover
The day went on and all of a sudden the lights shut off, you ran downstairs to the room Jenner first showed you seeing everyone freaking out
Daryl came over with his chest heaving
“Daryl what’s going on” you asked placing your hand on his arm
“Place is gonna explode, runnin out of energy and the place is locked down”
“What? There has to be a way out, we’ve come so far we can’t die here” you said feeling the panic rise as your eyes started to water
He wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you back against his chest as you slide to the floor crying
“I’m scared D, I don’t wanna die”
“Shhh ya ain’ dyin today, imma get us outta here, imma try” he said squeezing me tight
He got up and took an axe slamming it against the door
After everything happened, the grenade helping you get you, Daryl took your arm dragging you quickly to his truck the building was gonna explode enough second
He pushed you down and covered you with his own body against the seat
The explosion boomed making your ears ring as Daryl sat you up trying to shake you out of your trance
“Hey can ya hear me?” He snapped his fingers in front of you
Your hearing slowly came back as you focused on him
“Daryl……I love you” the rush of a near death experience showed you, you couldn’t waste your precious time with Daryl anymore, he needed to know
He didn’t say anything he held my hand as we all drove away to our next location, your heart felt like it was gonna either, you knew he didn’t like this stuff but god at least I thought he’d say something, you’ve told him you’ve loved him before but in a light hearted way because he was your best friend, but you knew he knew this was different
But at least he knew now, you loved him that’s all he needed to know

You Think Im Beautiful? - Rooster
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw x Fem!Reader (Call Sign: Fox)
Prompt: Maverick pairs you and Rooster together for a training exercise vs. Hangman and Coyote.
------------------------------------------------------
“Today’s training will put your aviation skills to the test.”
We all sat in silence, listening carefully as Maverick went over our drills for the day. A mere two weeks was all that was left between now and the mission that would change our lives forever.
“Two teams, the first team to take down their opponent is the victor.”
I glanced at Phoenix, hoping to god that she’d be the one I was paired up with. The two of us had been flying together since the academy, and she was the only one I wholeheartedly trusted as my wingman.
“Round one. Blue team, Hangman and Coyote.”
Easy. Phoenix, Bob, and I would have no problem putting those two pig heads into the ground. Now all we needed was for Maverick to team us up.
“Green team, Fox and Rooster.”
My smile immediately vanished. I turned to look at Rooster who was already looking at me. I couldn’t quite read him, but I knew he was thinking something along the lines of ‘not this bitch’.
I wasn’t thinking much different. The two of us couldn’t find any common ground, always arguing. It all started when he commented on my piloting skills, saying I was too weak to fly any real mission.
The jokes on him, seeing as I have racked up more successful missions than he has, including one air to air kill.
“Well, this will be a piece of cake!”
I turned to Hangman who sat at the front of the room, a cocky grin on his face.
He winked at me, “I won’t be going easy on you.”
I smiled, “Oh don’t you worry, I like it rough.”
The room erupted with laughter and I couldn’t help but wink right back at him.
“Alright, enough,” Maverick yelled over the commotion, “Go, suit up.”
I quickly stood up and started in the direction of the locker room. Phoenix appeared in step beside me.
”I should have known he wouldn’t team us up.”
She shrugged her shoulders, “It’s not worth dwelling on now. You have to beat those two idiots.”
“I’m not going to be able to beat them if I can’t get Rooster on my side.”
The truth was, I probably could have destroyed Hangman in a one-on-one. But with the possibility of Rooster and I being matched up for the upcoming mission, there was no better time than now to push aside our displeasure with one another and work together.
“Just talk to him, I’m sure he wants to put Hangman in his place just as much as you do.”
I nodded, “Yeah, you’re probably right.”
She patted me on the back before I disappeared into the locker room. I must have interrupted something because when I walked in, Hangman, and Rooster had agitated looks on their faces and Coyote stood quietly staring into his locker.
I thought it would be best if I didn’t get involved in whatever had just happened between them.
Nobody said a word to me as I placed my duffel bag on the bench and started unbuttoning my jeans. I glanced over at Rooster who was shoving his bag into his locker, headphones resting over his ears.
I quickly pulled off my jeans and blouse and pulled my leggings and t-shirt from the bag. I jumped when I spun around to see Hangman, a big smile plastered on his face.
“Shit, what do you want?”
He laughed, “Just wanted to wish you luck! See you out there, Fox.”
I stuck my tongue out at him before he turned around and left the room, Coyote right behind him.
Rooster slammed his locker shut and zipped the front of his g-suit before opening the door and leaving the room. Now was the only chance I had to talk to him in private before it was time to take off. I quickly changed and pulled my g-suit from the locker to put it on. A few seconds later I was stumbling out the door behind Rooster.
“Rooster! Hey, Rooster, wait up!” I yelled, running to catch up to him.
He was already at the end of the hallway when he turned around to face me, “What do you want, Fox?”
“Listen, we don’t have to be friends, but I do not want to lose to those two jackasses and I don't think you want to lose either. So, can we just get along and work together for a few hours and win this exercise?”
“Whatever,” he said, turning to walk towards the exit.
“Alright,” I shoved past him and stood between him and the exit, “I’m sick of this. It’s been years, Rooster! Why do you still have a problem with me?”
He rolled his eyes, “I don’t have a problem with you.”
“Bullshit! Ever since I met you you have always had this attitude towards me.”
“I don’t have time for this.”
He started to walk past me and I pressed my hand against his chest to stop him, “I’m not done talking to you.”
He leaned into me, “Fine, what is it you want me to say, Fox? That I think you are insanely irritating, incredibly arrogant, but despite those two things I think you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met?”
I was silent for a moment, not exactly sure how to respond. I took a step back and stared at him.
“I need you to say something.”
I shook my head, “So, what you're telling me is that you are a dick to me because you think I am pretty?”
“Not exactly.”
“What does that mean?”
“Yes, you are beautiful but I still find you irritating and arrogant.”
I couldn't help but laugh, “Don’t worry, I think the exact same about you.”
This time he smiled, “You think I'm beautiful?”
“Maybe,” I whispered, “Don’t get too excited.”
I stared at him for a moment, realizing that after all these years of hating him I never really took the time to admire how good looking he actually was.
My thoughts were interrupted when Cyclone walked into the hallway behind us, Warlock right behind him.
“You guys headed out for the exercise?” He asked.
The two of us nodded at them as they exited the building and made their way onto the tarmac.
I turned to Rooster who was looking down at me, a curious look on his face, “Are you good?”
“Yeah, I'm good.”
“Alright,” He said, pushing the doors open, “Let’s ground these assholes. Then after, maybe I can take you out for a victory drink.”

“The silence of George’s absence in our lives is deafening. Although he often renounced his role as an entertainer, my life with him was never boring. There were many comedies and a few tragedies but, of of all, deep love for all living things. He was a warrior who faced life’s battles with extraordinary courage. In the words of Bob Dylan, ‘He had the strength of a hundred men.’ […] Our son, Dhani, and I, like George’s friends, were spoiled by his rich and loving presence: from the morning wake-up call, which could have been (depending on our location and mood) a morning raga, a Vedic chant, a Mozart concerto, Cab Calloway’s ‘Bugle Call Rag,‘ or Hoagy’s earliest instrumental version of ‘Stardust,‘ to the day’s final tune, maybe whistled on his way to bed and which I would wake up in the morning singing. He loved planting the seed of a song and would sometimes whistle a tune I disliked just to see if he could get it rolling around in my head. After I would complain about it, he’d say, ‘Okay, here’s one to replace it,‘ and whistle another. All senses were satisfied as incense blew in the morning breeze, mingling with the steam from hot cups of tea. If he stepped out of the door for a breath of morning air, he always returned with a flower or leaf that would have gone unnoticed by everyone else, in the same way many among us would have gone unnoticed were it not for his ability to ‘see‘ the true person inside the bodily form. He always went straight to the heart of a person, and that ability extended to any subject or matter or work before him. His ability to penetrate to the core gave him, as he put it, ’a different slant, a different pattern,‘ than anyone I ever knew. […] Besides the company, conversation and wisdom of my beloved friend, I already long for the live background music of our lives. If I began to sing a song — any song — he would accompany and encourage me. If I played three chords on the uke (compulsory instrument in our home), he would be my band. George was so generous and 'grateful to anyone that is happy or free.‘ A good moment to him was always worth making better. I love you, George. The joys, sorrows, lessons and love we shared are more than enough to fill my heart until we meet again.” - Olivia Harrison, Harrison (2002) (x)

Table number six p.1/...
pairing: charles leclerc x reader summary: you decided to disappear from your hometown with your bestfriend, finding the anchor in Monaco. With your talent to be in the right place at the right time you got yourself to some fine situation Warnings: none beside google translated French Word count: 3.3K
Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
Tumblr media
Charles, we cannot do this! as you looked around if someone could see you. Why. Because you're in a relationship! I'm not anymore -
It all started under normal circumstances. You recently moved out of your hometown. Actually a whole country. You couldn't proceed further with that was happening here. It was your family. They were draining the life out of you. You were naturally a happy spirit, always smiling widely and genuinely, because you were actually enjoying life. Always remembering to live in the present moment till it became natural to you. You knew this about you, you've always been like this but lately you were more of trying instead of being to be the same YN as you were few years ago. The older you got, the harder it was to stay the same. And it was scary to you to be changing to a different person right in front of your own eyes since you didn't want to become someone you didn't want to be.
The whole problem was your family. They were suffocating you with just their presence. Each morning you got up, went for a breakfast and all of them were stressing about literally anything. You hardly could breathe in their presence. Like they were exposing their hollow parts of their soul onto you. And unfortunately, being in the same presence, you were inhaling it all. That's when you started changing. You still persisted and resisted such state, but it was too much to bare. In the beginning the only getaway for escape were books. You somewhat found peace in psychology and applying it onto your daily struggles and your whole family issues to find some sort of agreement and compassion. It helped you a little to survive on daily basis. But even this was not enough. -
Soo you have a big dream in your life? Oh yes. I do. What is it? It is a secret -
One time at a party, you met this guy. He was actually more interested in talking to you rather than getting into your panties. He was easy going as you and after short amount of time you got more into a deep talk. You've talked about life and he said something you remember till this day. And you know for sure you will keep it in your heart till the day you die: Fear is learnt. It is not given. Fear is here to put us back and never fulfill our dreams. Change your habits and fear will have no place in your life anymore. From that time you dwelled on that. And lived by this rule. At least you tried especially in the beginning.
And this was the reason why you got the courage to move out. You got the courage, decided one time sitting on the bench and watching others, thinking about their lives and how you are now stuck in a place, where your soul doesn't want to be. And certainly you knew that only the fear is holding you back to actually do something about your terrific situation. As you decided about your future, you from that point were stubborn about that. And very soon your best friend knew about this idea since you told her. I want to get away. And never come back! I don't care about the serious stuff I should plan ahead. I don't care. I just know I need to get out.
Your friend was not in the best place either, the job was mentally draining her and the fact that she has a great potential but cannot pursue it, because of the place we are living, was the reason why she wanted to go with you. She told you she wouldn't have been able to do this if it were just for her alone. But with you she has all the strength in her.
Of course it is needed to say, you both came from quite rich families. You got it easier than most of the people who wanted to pursue the same idea. Still, disappearing and never wanting to see your family again- this is something you don't tell your family. You just wanna escape. Without goodbye, without words. Thank God you both were smart enough to have always put aside enough money these past few years. So now you have just enough money to go anywhere without the need to worry about them. -
We both agreed we go for it no matter what. And I know what I wanna do. But what about you? I don't know yet. I just like to read books, and contemplate on things. Then try to do exactly that. -
You always knew you want to study further in the sphere of psychology. Either way just by yourself or officially. That is why you applied to university in Monaco. And why Monaco? Better question is why NOT Monaco. The perfect place. You have everything there. The sun, the sea, the fancy places, nature, great food and awesome things to do there. Even the language wasn't the problem. You got a very good level of Italian language. On top of that your friend was visiting a French institute back in your hometown and promised you she will teach you enough French to understand others in Monaco. Which is exactly what happened. You had it planned. One day, one night, you packed the little of yours, the sentimental things you wanted to keep, to save from old life and your family, and got away. -
I've never been more grateful that I put aside the money. Hahaha yes! It is soo exciting. It feels like we are gonna save the world! I feel unstoppable. No fear. -
Few months have passed in Monaco. You found a nice place to live with your friend. Beautiful view, quiet neighborhood. You both accommodated quickly and most of the time the two of you spent living in your present moment here without the help of your cellphones. You both wanted to be aware the most what the new life you got for yourselves got for you. And thanks to that you were put in situation where you could only use your knowledge and your own memory, no translator whatsoever and your friend wasn't helping you either. You knew already enough to survive here. For the other part, you got accepted to university thanks to all of your gained knowledge from all of those years where you were hiding from your family's presence. Your friend Mary found a nice job where she could refine her potential. She now worked at embassy for translating French to Korean. Your friend was wild with languages.
And because you were the sun, the high spirit, you found friends very easily. You laughed easily and were funny by nature so you always attracted great people and especially those that wanted to show you how much they appreciate you. And they always wanted to show you the world, no matter If you knew this person for five minutes or a few days. You even got the opportunity to meet some great people in Monaco which you didn't know by then. -
Where are you from? Ah, just a small town in a small country. Well that is enough interesting for me to ask more -
You met your friend at a normal average cafeteria in Monaco. You were sitting there by yourself, reading your books to uni and drinking espresso macchiato when this stranger approached you complimenting you. You offered him a big smile and that is when you got him into his seat right in front of you. It is always your smile that sweep others off their feet. You talked a little and you found out his mum is working here and he is making a visit often. But most of the time he is finding himself in a different parts of Monaco since he has a very fancy and famous restaurant Le Louis XV. (No way!) You gasped at that information. You knew this place is THE place. Secretly by nights you were dreaming to visit this place, even if just for once. You wanted it so badly you got even obsessed with their official website, wolfing each information about their place, their food, their wine, their policies. Smiling so much it hurt you, you told him how beautiful this place is and how endeared you are by meeting someone like him who actually owns this place!
We are actually looking for some new waitress. You look very pretty, you look very kind and I'm sure you are very smart as well. We could hire someone just like you just like that. I like you enough already. I am sure you would do a great job.
Your mouth fell wide open and you immediately covered it with your hand. Still your eyes visible in shock. Your friend sitting in front of you chuckled.
I am so sorry! That is so awesome! But I don't even know your name! You laughed out so loud. It was silly to talk so much about each other and even receive such a compliment without knowing each other's name. Anyway you promised him that you will think it through and the two of you exchanged numbers. -
Oh cmon Mary! Let's go to this place! I need to see how it looks inside. Like really really see it on my own eyes. Plus! the guy already knows me. He will sure remember me. You mean the guy you don't know the name of? Haha very funny. His name is Jean. Well I'm afraid I cannot go. I still need to work on this script. It is super important. Quite urgent. Alright. I get it. You smiled. You were very happy for your friend that she is finally doing what she was waiting for so long. I will go by myself then. You smiled and prepared yourself. You sure know better to come there dressed up more fancy than on normal occasions. -
As your taxi got to the destination, you carefully stepped out and took a big inhale. Somehow the whole atmosphere was different around here. It smelled different. More alive you thought to yourself. Even the doors looked breath taking. But just from observing the place, basically just standing there, you had some sort of a feeling something will happen. Call it an intuition. With such state, your fear started creeping around the corners in your mind. You felt your heart beating fast, and your hands started to get sweaty. Taking a few steps forward, you saw the personnel were quite wild inside. (Weird). It didn't look so put together as you thought it would. Your fear was telling you you don't want to get yourself in trouble. But you remembered your party hero. You put all of those fearful thoughts to hell and stepped on the stairs. -
Maman, nous sommes restés assez déjà en attendant. Ne devrions-nous pas aller ailleurs ? Mom, we've been waiting enough already. Shouldn't we go somewhere else? Non, j'aime le plus cet endroit. On va attendre un peu. No, I like this place the most. We'll wait a bit. -
It was just around lunch. Around 3PM. Inside it looked…envoûtant.
Just in time! Ah! Bonjour Jean. Ca va? YN no time for talking. I need you asap. What? Your face don't lie. You looked shocked and scared. I need you to start working. (Whaaaaat???) But I didn't come here for work! I just arrived! YN - he held you by your shoulders - J'ai besoin de toi. But No But, I need you. You were looking into his eyes and they told you he was deadly serious. Our staff today is short, many people got sick! C'est foutu ici, regarde It's fucked up here, look You finally gathered some words to talk back. That is not possible! I don't even know where is the kitchen, nor the utensils and I don't even know all of the ingredients in what you are serving! And what about the wine???? You will handle it. Jean! Allez. The table number six. You just looked down, and nodded. Qui.
Jean led you to a staff room to change yourself. You changed yourself very quickly. You actually didn't have time for anything else. Not even thinking. But just one second to take a look at yourself in the mirror is what you needed. Looking in the mirror, you said Either way it is gonna be a big fuck up or a great experience. But I'm not backing up. Remember to just smile, be funny, the rest will hopefully be taken care of. Somehow.
You breathed a big exhale and got yourself out of the restroom. -
Aujourd'hui, ils manquent de personnel. Jean me l'a dit. Today they are understaffed. Jean told me. Maman, on aime bien ici mais on ne peut pas rester ici encore une demi-heure à. Mom, we like it here but we can't stay here for another half an hour.
That is when you appeared fast as a lighting. You smiled big. Making eye contact with everyone. Not having the mental capacity yet to actually remember all of their faces. They were like six of them. Three women and the rest were men. One of the women were in her older years. You made a note to focus on her the most. At least that is what etiquette taught you. Bon jour. Préférez-vous le français ou l'italien. Smiling at the old lady. I think she is the mom of the boys. They look alike. Le français c'est bien. She smiled at you as well. Actually she was waaay too smiley in your opinion. But it was nice to meet someone sweet. You asked what they would like to drink and thankfully they didn't have any tricky questions for you. You somewhat made it. Writing the orders fast and still maintaining eye contact with the diners. You were still smiling genuinely and making sure you catch each word. It was hard at first, but thanks to lessons from your friend Mary, you could survive in understanding. You just had a little delay comprehending sometimes. You thanked them and apologized for the time it took. Leaving their table shyly.
You followed other waitress to kitchen so you find out finally where it is situated. Thanks to your deduction skills you knew where to put the orders and prepare some of it by yourself actually. Not the food obviously. Speaking about food…
YN, this food to table four.
You didn't even have a chance to react as you turned around to Jean, because other waitress bumped into you and put the plates on your hands. You thought you will die at the exact moment. But couldn't do such. You couldn't even die at this moment. There was no time for that! (Merde!)
You were afraid it will fall on the ground. In your eyes was visible there was a little hesitation as you were scared, but gladly you still had a smile laid out on your face. As you were passing other tables in the line you had to avoid the other waitress so you put your arms up, YES arms up with the FOOD and spun around laughing big because you could either cry or laugh. You wanted both but not acceptable. You made the choice. You were sweating and cursing in your mind. -
Charles, regarde ! Elle est tellement belle. Regarde la grâce avec laquelle elle marche. Si féminin. Charlie, look! She is so beautiful. Look at the grace with which she walks. So feminine. Maman! J'ai une copine juste à côté de moi! Mom! I have a girlfriend right next to me! C'est pourquoi je chuchote. That's why I whisper. -
You did it. The food is on the table. And you somehow was being able to manage to pronounce the name of the servings. Then you found out these are actually foreigners speaking English so you were glad to speak at least a little bit of your mother language. You joked a little with them and felt very grateful at that moment. But at the back of your mind you knew you have to go back to the table number six. Enjoy your meal guys!
As you were going back, you saw the old lady smiling big at you so you did as well. Tout va bien maintenant? Oui merci. Vous avez choisi? Are you ready to order? You were still looking at her. It was what you think you should do. You just wanted to do good with this job, be kind, be well behaved. It looked like it is appreciated at least by the old lady. Oui, nous sommes prêts. You were patiently waiting for orders, starting with the old lady by being obvious smiling at her and waiting for her to speak. Then you continued with the other two women and lastly guys. You were not that careful with them, because you could hardly tell who is the oldest one. Merci. S'il vous plaît, n'hésitez pas à m'appeler si vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit. Thank you. Please don't hesitate to call me if you need anything. -
Avez-vous remarqué à quel point elle se comporte bien? Have you noticed how well she behaves? Oui - Lorenzo agreed with his girlfriend - Oui! elle est si gentille. Yes! she is so nice. Eh bien, dans ce restaurant, il ne devrait y avoir que des gens qui se comportent bien. Well, in this restaurant, there should only be well-behaved people. Charles wasn't such a big fan of yours it appears. Certainly not after his own mother told him to check you out - while he was sitting there with his girlfriend by his side. He didn't know that in a no time you will be lying on him, and he will not like it. But not from such an obvious reason as it may look like. -
The next half an hour was good. You were little disoriented sometimes, you had to ask twice, but everything was fine when it came to diners. You brought plates with the food to the table number six and left them immediately. You had other tables to serve. One thing that haven't left you was your smile though. You were smiling all the time, you didn't even know you did. After some time, the sun was already settling down and the table number six was finished with their meals. Avez-vous apprécié votre nourriture? Did you enjoy your food? Oui beaucoup. Ta présence aussi. Your presence too. Well, that was a lot to say. You got a fright to be honest. You were still smiling but with a little shock in your eyes. You laughed it off. Merci. As you were looking around the table, checking once again if they are finished, need a refill perhaps, you asked Veux-vous un dessert?
They thought about it a little bit. You stopped looking around around the table at this one particular man. He was definitely her son. And the girl next to him definitely his girlfriend. As you were making the dots, you caught the young man looking at you. When you connected with his eyes, you smiled a little. But he immediately took his look away. It made you sad a little. (Definitely not a man worth my time. He cannot even reciprocate when a woman smiles at him!) You looked away from him, catching the eye of the old lady. Nous voudrions en fait un dessert. Parfait! you replied and focused once again. Leaving them once again with their orders. -
Charles, sois plus gentil, s'il te plaît. Charles, please be nicer. Je suis gentil. Non tu ne l'es pas. Maman a raison. Vous trompez un peu depuis le début quand la serveuse est venue. Mom is right. You are a bit off from the beginning when the waitress came. Lorenzo agreed with his mom. Arthur continued. En fait je ne l'ai jamais vue avant. Je pense qu'elle est nouvelle. In fact, I've never seen her before. I think she is new. Je le pense aussi. I think so too. -
