i’m over the moon that we’re getting callbacks to thirteen my beloved but RTD assumed wrong that i’ve had sufficient time to process the pain of thirteen’s identity crisis about the timeless child and that seeing fourteen continuing to carry the same pain and trauma and longing for companionship and unburdening - as played by angst master david tennant - wouldn’t leave me a mess

"I only ever asked questions."
A digital study of this classic piece! Changed a few things but overall pretty happy with this one!
A juicy closeup, of course :) not sure why, but I think he'd be freckly.
I kinda liked the rough border too!

it's sooooooo interesting to look at the scripts and see the little changes. seeing how the actors interpreted what was written down. in the script rtd wrote that fourteen has a sad smile when he says "all those years i missed you" but in the final episode he looks like this
or how much more visceral and painful fourteen's breakdown in the hallway was compared to how it was originally described. in the script it's just "yells. rages. hits the wall. furious" which is a little bit of an understatement compared to:

The end of 2023 taught/reminded me that I am not immune to Pandering, between the three new lovely specials with David Tennant as the Doctor alongside Donna Noble, and the reveal that a specific character I love will be returning in Godzilla X Kong, both of which restored my interest against all odds in their respective franchise (for the latter I mean the Monsterverse specifically, not Godzilla as a whole - I will ALWAYS be interested in Godzilla as a whole).
Like, if you asked me in November about the prospect of more Doctor Who and Monsterverse movies, my reaction would be a resounding, "Meh." But now I'm excited, and it's almost purely for shallow, pandering-to-the-disillusioned-fanbase reasons.

Good Omens Season 2 Spoilers - I need to tell someone about my feelings so here they are...
I LOVE love! The whole point was love. Gabriel and Beelzebub, Maggie and Nina, and of course Aziraphale and Crowley.
The story between Maggie and Nina was so good. Maggie being able to finally be honest and Nina prioritising healing herself before starting anything with Maggie but acknowledging how much she does value her now. They will grow together in such wonderful ways!
Gabriel and Beelzebub were able to turn their back on their whole worlds for love. I hate both of them, but I am not immune to love winning out over prejudice!
Now, obviously we were meant to compare them with Aziraphale and Crowley, and here's why I think they're different. Gabriel and Beelzebub never cared about their worlds. Aziraphale and Crowley definitively DO! Even Aziraphale's crises during the flashbacks are all him trying to make things RIGHT.
Aziraphale has been fighting his feelings for Crowley since they met (those WW2 era heart-eyes; everyone say thank you Michael Sheen). He's pining sooooo much!
Crowley's only just figured out how much he loves Aziraphale and it has hit him like a tonne of bricks (David Tennant's acting <3).
I loooooooove the pining. The pain. The requited love but cross purposes.
This has been stated as a bridge season to the plot of book 2/season 3 (second coming, squeeeee!)... so everyone say thank you for the delicious ANGST! WE LOVE SLOW BURNS, WE LOVE HURT, WE LOVE ANGST!
That kiss was BRUISING and the "I forgive you" ripped my whole insides out and ground them to dust. Aziraphale touching his lips, in so much pain... this is an angel fighting between his optimism and belief that he can STILL DO GOOD versus the TERRIFYING reality that he could actually run off with the being he has loved forever.
And what does Aziraphale's smile at the end of the credits mean????????
