Hey is isn't it funny that the virtue the Ice Emperor was chosen to represent and value was honesty because all he ever got was lied to. Hey. Hey isn't it kinda funny that-

something something slimecicle and mariana went apart on good terms six months ago. yeah sure, there was some snark thrown at mariana from slime but whatever. they had a nice conversation (and sex) and there were no serious ill feelings. then mariana left and slime was all alone again. so he antagonized mariana for not being there, for killing their daughter (it was an accident, he knows it was an accident but it is so much easier to stick the blame on a single person rather than the universe). he antagonized mariana so much, that he was actually willing to kill him. after six months of not seeing each other, six months without help, he was actually willing to kill mariana. he tricked mariana into meeting him and as soon as he saw him again all of those feelings vanished. no more desire to kill, nothing. he was left alone for so long, antagonized mariana for so long that he forgot how much he loved him and how much he missed him and how much they actually mean to each other. or something like that

THINKING ABOUT ALBATRIO AND SECRETS.
thinking about jay’s secret. thinking about her every move wracking her with guilt and indecision. thinking about ep 53 and how revealing her secret meant accepting defeat— to both parties, to both lives, to both families.
thinking about gillion’s secret (exile/banishment). how he carried it, dragged it around like a weight. how he thought of it every day. how he saw it in every failure, in every time he felt like he disappointed chip and jay.
thinking about chip’s secrets. how he doesn’t even want to admit them to himself. how he wanted to forget them and how he let them die with him (trading them away to the psychic). thinking about how he probably feels like he’s a mosaic of secrets, a shattered piece of knit-together lies ready to fall apart at any second.

We knew Maarva’s death was coming but I think not seeing it made it worse. The slight confusion of not knowing what’s going on at at first and the realization slamming into you. Probably meant to simulate what Cassian was feeling at the end there. It already happened. There is no goodbye. You couldn’t have done anything.

do you ever think about how marsh Snapped when his mother was killed? do you ever think about how young he was? do you think kelsier was there too? did marsh try to keep him from seeing? did he think they were coming for him and kell next? did he have to convince his father not to turn them in? did he have anyone to turn to, to talk to, anyone to comfort him? did kelsier even understand what happened? did marsh have to be the one to explain it to him? did he have to tell him that the same thing could happen to them, too?
