i can only share what works for me, which may not work for you. but i work with my delusions, not against them. sane people may find that unhealthy but for me, if i dont decrease my distress, the delusion gets worse. and the more i try to deny the delusion (or paranoia), the more my brain makes me believe it.

basically, it helps me to know everyone's experience of reality is different. and thats ok. even two nonpsychotic people will understand the same event in different ways. i accept what i'm dealing with and find ways to make life tolerable with that.

tw for unreality for the rest of this ask bc i'll share examples of my thought process/actions. dont read if you're susceptible to taking on others' delusions/parnaoia.

if im scared someone's staring at me thru my window, i'll muster the courage to look and then if no one's there, i'll draw my curtains. if i think someone might break into my house, i go and lock all the doors, and i keep an eye on my cat since he'd know if someone were coming.

when it comes to the simulation delusion (i never fully recovered from).. i'll just be like well.. nothing about what im experiencing right now is changing. so, i'm just going to keep living my life and religiously avoid triggers/thinking about it.

whereas if i try to reason myself out of it, my brain will come up with reasons why i cant just go on with my life. or it will lead me to seek out things that trigger it more. which ends dangerously for me.

i've pretty much just learned to take my thoughts at face value, do what i need to feel safe, and not poke the bear. it took time to learn that, but it's been 5 years since I've had anything more than an hour or two of spiraling a bit, every few months. ive had schizoaffective disorder since i was 9. so yea.

your relationship wasn’t new, but it hadn’t been that long since you two revealed yourselves to the public. while showing off some of his favorite plushies on live, he realized that he accidentally brought a teddy bear that you gave him. a teddy bear that just so happened to have both of your initials engraved on its feet. sure, kai could have come up with something but 1. he’d probably suck at lying and 2. he didn’t want to hide you anymore. so he acted impulsively.

you two had already had discussions about the topic and even talked to bighit staff about it. obviously, they weren’t on board at first but eventually gave you the green light. the only thing left was finding the perfect time to announce it. kai beat you to it, apologizing over and over for making the decision without you, but you were thankful anyway since you were a little shy.

and now here you were. the company phone propped up in front of you two and sets of paint scattered around the table.

“yes honey,” you grab his hands in yours as you return his eye contact, “I promise I want to do this with you. it’ll be fun!”

kai nods and turns toward the phone to press the big “GO LIVE” button. the next few seconds are a bit awkward since you have to wait for moas to start joining the live. soon enough, the chat is filled with shocked emojis and confusion.

“we’re gonna do some really cute face paints!” you explain while trying to get used to the speed of the comment section. kai chuckles before scrolling up to catch a specific comment. “baby look! moas think you look super pretty… oh, yes they are an angel… no this wasn’t by accident! wait a marriage announcement?!” his famous laugh echoing in the room, making you laugh as well.

after a while all of the paint bottles are open and you’ve both put on cute animal headbands to keep hair out of your faces. “moa! what should we paint on each other?” kai asks.

“okay, how about I paint you first and you do mine last?” you suggest. “okie!” kai agrees and you get started.

you alternate between focusing on kai’s face and responding to some of the comments. kai faces you and stares at you with love in his eyes as you softly brush strokes of paint onto his skin. the paint is cold on his cheeks, but you make them feel so, so warm. thankfully, the paint is covering his blush. he feels like he’s falling in love all over again, and he feels like the luckiest man in the world.

“you’re so beautiful, baby…” his whisper snaps you out of the trance you had while reading comments. your head whips around to see the lovesick expression on his face. at this point, it’s pretty obvious that he doesn’t care about showing pda with you live, so you try to relax a bit.

“says you! moa, isn’t he like a greek god?” you ask the chat while carefully cradling his face in your hands, showing him off to the camera. he laughs a little before shaking his head. “I mean it, you’re so handsome, your face is already a masterpiece.” you notice kai getting shy before he tries to lean in to meet your lips. you back up quickly and softly put your hands on his shoulders. “okay woah! 1. we’re live and 2. y-you have wet paint all over you!” you stutter while kai laughs at your reaction.

eventually, you finish the avatar-style painting on kai’s face and he takes a look at himself through the live screen. “wah! baby, this is so cool!” he exclaims, “you’re so cool and talented, i’m jealous!” you smile softly and rub his arm as a thanks. you make sure to thank moa in the chat as well for all of the compliments. while reading comments, kai wants your attention back, so he uses two fingers to turn your face towards him. the action makes you blush and the chat goes crazy once again. “my turn.”

I’m good, I dyed my hair once more (just added pink onto the fading blue so now the tips are purple <3).

We don’t open at 8AM (we open at 10:30, which there were customers who came in as soon as we opened) but I was in the back for two and a half hours prepping the dishes (spreading dough on pans and etc. which I could be spreading your dough, if you catch my drift 😏).

It’s okay that you don’t know what Eddsworld is lol, it was popular back in like late 2000s, early 2010. There was an animator named Edd who made wacky little animations of him and his friends going on made up adventures, but he sadly passed away from cancer in 2012. One of his friends is continuing his legacy and they still create animations in honor of him which I think is super sweet :] (honestly Edd was a main inspiration for me to get into drawing self-art and such). But yeah 🫶

I love camping, wish I could go with you, we could be filming the best analog horror tapes known to man (where my horror analog girlies at). I hope you make the most of it though and have fun. Tell me how it goes <3

Second cuddles

You werent usually busy, most of the time you have read comics or draw to pass the time. Sometimes you get bored to the point of falling asleep right then and there. But today, today was special. Today was the day that you get your film done by the end of the week. The film wasn't a huge project but it was a commissioned by a person you really liked.

It was about a uncommon a lion between rabbits and wolves as they face off the bears that were terrorizing their people. It was kind of cliche but you liked it. So far you only got 40 of the frames finished in 12 hours without taking any breaks. Much to the concern of your Hollow headed friend Second. He taps on the screen to get your attention.

You selected the text tool and started to type.

[Yeah?]

[You have been working for 12 hours now and i still havent seen you take a break]

[I know that you need to finish this film but you're working yourself a bit too hard]

[Well, sometimes you need to push yourself in order to complete stuff]

"Bet?" The hell does he mean by that? Second proceeds to go into your file that was connected to your printer. You jump as the printer started to turn on. You proceed to back away as the printer literally prints out your best friend.

When the process was done Second lands face first into the floor and then gets up on his nubby legs. Now that you got a closer look at him, he looks way more taller than you expected. What you didn't expect is that hollow head to gently but tightly grab you and yeet you onto your bed. Why would he...wait.

He wouldnt.

But at this point, your too tired don't really care anymore and just want to get this over with. Second proceeds to carefully put your head into his maw and started slug down your tired body stopping between gulps while doing so. After what seems to be 8 minutes you finally land in the stickman's fleshy prison (aka his stomach). The Orange stickman smugly pats his Human-filled gut as he lays down on your bed, obviously satisfied with his work.

"Ok, how long am I going to be staying in here?"

"Until i feel like you rested well."

"Fine"

My daddy showed me the old family still, that had only made it out of the apocalypse from the fact my papaw had convinced Daniel lee Oliver the first to take it out into the desert, when I was ten. I miss the old man.

Me and my momma can't keep living like this, hell she probably ain't gonna make it another three months. She died last night. I ain't been doing anything today even though I'm damn near half starving myself. Its too damn early. hiiii im making a self indulgent ass post w/ all the fun little details i packed into tip the ferrymen pages up til today (excluding all the stuff thats foreshadowing for later spoilers) im gonna put it all under the cut though!!!

so hi. funny little bg details in ferrymen that i think is fun:

pg2 - Russel's grave! his last name, Marek, is named after an NPC in a really old dnd campaign my buddy jay ran for us back in high school

pg8 - there's a lot here so im just showing all of it LMAO. ambrosia bar back alley in the bg, one of eddie's murals is on the wall, eileen's missing poster is on the left, and as a lil spoiler: one of the ghosts in the background is gonna be a major character in arc 2!

pg20 - one of joey's drawings is of a younger nathan and the other is a blue cowboy, if you know what thats a nod to you know lol

pg20 - Eddie's gifts for the fortunes include a cat angel statue, white lillies (often used in funerals), and a blue candle. most of this is just supposed to be a nod towards who's leaving these gifts

pg33 - this is kinda hard to see due to the coloring (which i plan on going back and fixing at a later date) but the title of this book is "the wonderful world of elevators" which is a taz reference

pg37 - this is more a production fun fact but i made the eyes on the shadow creature in esther's portrait by just heavily editing a photo of my eye lol

pg37 - as eddie sneaks away from the vargas's, he glitches out which is meant to show that he's using his shapeshifting powers. foreshadowing!

pg45 - foreground detail so everyone noticed it but eddies just kinda chilling here when the vargas's enter andy's library

pg46 and pg81 - bim bim the bear's tears match esther's death injuries, he also copies joeys expressions throughout the first arc!

pg52 - the author of this book is mai's dad, arthur!

pg54 - eddie's "tell" when she's shapeshifted as someone else is that the scar over her eye stays no matter what. this isn't the only instance of this, but emily's disguise makes it the most obvious!

while we're at it-- eddie can mimic the blank eyes of ghosts because he knows they have blank eyes from watching paranathan, but he doesn't know what their death injuries like so they can't mimic them.

pg60 - the environments in sarah's station are made of cardboard cut outs, mimicing the kinda toy-like feeling of a giant train model

pg68- anime sparkles

pg71 - my favorite example of bimbim mimicking joey's expressions

pg74 - this is obvious i just really wanna point out nathan blushing when he sees how fucking tall eddie is

YES YES! That was very much intentional! :DD And the answer lies in the fazbands!

The animatronics can scan the Fazbands and get any important information about the child they might need. Such as the child's name, age, and which parent they belong to.

The Fazbands also act as a proof of purchase. If the the animatronic scans a child and no fazband is detected, that child must be brought to an employee. As there is no current proof that the child has had their admission paid. Hence why Gregory has a red outline, he has no fazband!

The blue kids all have standard fazbands. As every kid is given when they enter the pizzaplex.

But if its your kids birthday, they are given a special fazband that has them show up differently in the animatronics scanners. This tells the animatronics that the golden kids are the birthday boys/girls! And they will address the child as such if they ever encounter them. :)

(Also there's an Easter egg in one of those panels that no ones pointed out yet.. 👀)

Oh yeah, there's a lot of em. :( But the animatronics don't have to worry about them. They have handlers to watch over them and keep angry Karen's/crowds away.

I haven't really figured out their whole schtick yet..

I think in the partial swap they haven't changed much. Although Monty is a kindler gentler Monty. With Foxy by his side he's simmered down some. And his theme is a little different than before.

Roxy I think is more of a recluse in the partial swap, like original Monty is.

As for the true swap.? I haven't really figured it all out yet. Thinking that Roxy is a golfer and Monty is a racer..? I haven't thought it all through yet <XD
