been thinking a lot about our baby Eddie a lot for real real. "Poison" by Alice Cooper came on my playlist today and mmmmm thoughts are thunk... kinda similar to your temptation fic? sorry if its redundant jo. maybe you can add to this if you want, this was super rushed because I'm literally heading into work for a night shift now hahaha

sweet boy at a party you're at. you don't usually go out, but it is a grad party after all. he's watching you from across the room, not like you'd notice. but he always notices you, wants to make sure you're okay. you're not one to be around people like this. and right now, you're slurring your words - wobbling on your feet and your damn friends aren't noticing.

he keeps his eyes fixated on you, slugging back a longneck leaning against a doorframe in the back of the room. you have no idea what you're getting yourself into sweet girl.

when he looks away for just second, you're stumbling out the back door. alone. no ones following you, why isn't anyone following you?

rough hands slide around your waist, gripping you upright firmly and he helps you walk down the back porch. "pretty girl, where are your friends?"

"'dunno, inside," you look up at him through thick lashes and heavy lids.

"can't have you wonderin' around out here lets get you bac-"

"don't leave me Eddie, please," your hands grip his leather jacket, not sure if to get yourself stabilized or because you've been aching to get this close to him all year.

that's when he carefully brings you to his car parked down the road. the back is big enough for you both to lay down. Eddie's music playing softly in the background..

THE WAY! I was gonna name my Temptation fic Poison because I had this song in mind the entire time, but I didn’t want it to seem like Eddie poisoned reader or something cause the vibe was already dark😂😭

But there was an exact moment in that fic where it was gonna get super soft like this.

Cause just picture Eddie watching you when you’re shitfaced out of your mind and all your friends have left you? So you’re all alone at this massive party, and Gareth is chatting aimlessly to him and the guys but Eddie’s focus is completely on you on the other side of the room as he sips his beer.

Watching intently as a guy you clearly don’t know comes up behind you and tries to start talking to you, and Eddie can tell even in your intoxicated state that you’re not interested but the guy has his hands all over you. The final straw is when he reaches round to grab your ass and Eddie is already pushing off the wall with his shoulders and bulldozing his way through the sea of people towards you.

“Hey, baby. There you are-” the words come off his tongue so smoothly as he sees the absolute relief in your eyes as he gives you a small smile, hoping you’ll be able to play along even in your intoxicated state, “Been looking everywhere for you!”

“Eddie,” You slur, already weaving your way out of the guys arms and into his as you wrap your arms around his waist, Eddie slings an arm over your shoulders as he completely ignores the guy. Certain that if he takes one look at him he’ll do something stupid like swing- and there are way too many jocks at this party to make a mistake that big, “Please don’t leave me.”

You plead, almost ruining his plan as you practically cling to him.

“Hey, sweetness. ’m sorry” He coos softly, “The queue for the can was fucking long. Thought I’d lost you after.” He raises his voice just enough for the guy to hear, but keeps his gaze locked on you.

He presses a kiss to your forehead, “You ready to go?”

“Yeah,” You nod your head, taking his hand in yours as he leads you through the crowds. Holding tight so he doesn’t lose you and walking slow so you can keep up in those heels you decided to wear. Wishing he could just take them off for you, but he doesn’t want you walking barefoot in god knows what.

“Munson? Ain’t no fucking way that’s his girl-” He hears whispers behind him but he doesn’t care as he walks you towards the front of the house, stepping out onto the front porch as he grasps your arms to steady your swaying body.

“Where are your friends, sweetheart? Can I find someone for you?” He asks sincerely, but you shake your head.

“I dunno,” You mumble, “I just wanna sit down-”

You move to sit on the cold, concrete steps but Eddie stops you, “Come on, let me take you home yeah? It’s too cold for you to be sitting outside.”

You let him take you to his van, opening the passenger side for you to slide in, his arms around you to help your drunk body into the seat as he leans over you to fasten your seatbelt, giving you the perfect opportunity to take in the scent of him. Cigarettes, weed, cheap cologne and the faintest musk of sweat as you find yourself leaning into it. His hands pressing back your shoulders as he interprets your movements for being inebriated, “Woah, sweetheart. You doing okay?”

You nod your head as you settle back into his van, shivering slightly as you become aware of the change in temperature outside the party.

Something that doesn’t go unnoticed by Eddie as he sits forward in the drivers seat, leaning over the wheel as he shrugs off his jacket, wrapping it around you so your front is covered.

“Sorry— heatings broke,” He gives an apologetic smile, “Been meaning to fix it.”

You bury your nose into the jacket, breathing in his smell as you feel the warmth from his body heat captivate you. The fabric still warm as you find it comforting, slowly lulling you to sleep.

The music begins to play as he puts the key into the ignition, Alice Cooper Poison starting up almost halfway through. Clearly the song he was listening to before he got out of his van for the party.

“Love this song,” You mumble, half-lidded eyes staring across the van at him.

“Yeah? Me too.”

heyy hope ur good, um im seeing the arctic monkeys next week in Prague and its my first time going to a concert so do you have any helpful tips for me please?😭😭 mostly i just wanna know how early i should start staying in line

hey! first of all, CONGRATS! i hope you will have lots of fun!

i guess you're in GA and don't have a seat? well, it depends on the size of the GA area (capacity is 20k for this venue so i guess it's not too big).

if you don't care where you are placed, 1-2hrs is fine. but i guess you wanna be front row??

so i would recommend at least 6hrs early if you wanna be in the front row. usually, people start queueing between 11am and 1pm! but it really depends. if you're petite i suggest you come early, or wear some platform shoes ahah (im 156cm so i really struggle sometimes)

another useful tip if you come very early and it's too hot: bring loads of water to hydrate, sugar sticks, food (nut bars, dry fruits, etc), sunscreen, and try not to wear black clothes. try to bring the smallest bag you have so you're not bothered during the show (i usually wear a bum bag that i keep on my chest). obviously no precious stuff (e.g. jewellery).

also, i suggest you bring a power bank for your phone, and a space blanket (to protect you from the sun and keep you cool- very important).

if you don't wanna be bored, cus 6hrs is a lot (but it's also so much fun bc you get to talk with your friends and/or other fans), you can bring a small book, and/or cards to play games with your "line mates"

finally, i suggest you come to the venue the day before to know where line is, so you don't get lost ;)

and please lemme know how it was! im so excited for you!!! i haven't seen them in 8 YEARS. ENJOY every second of the show, and be ready to lose your voice hahaha

I don't quite know what that extension will look like, but someone "anon" (hahaha) made the request, and I'll give Stressed and Pressed the same faint boundaries for how I'm treating asks in general. Wanna stick to the queue order as much as I can while also factoring in how my job/personal life changes my writing time, as well as to give the story space to grow organically, and change things if I can't devote time to it, or evolve it in a different way... Though... I would be lying if I didn't already have thoughts on what a multi-chaptered fic about those characters would be like.

Hey, I'm doing good too. Just normal amounts of stressful stuff right now. Just moved to a country I've never been to before but can't complain, things are not as hard as the last time I did this so. The nerve some people have! Haha I know I would be pissed if people were questioning my intelligence like that especially after a couple of drinks in haha. Though I do like taunting people when I play group games, I'll be like "don't need to try that hard guys, you're gonna lose anyway" just to mess with them or just call people sore losers if they accuse me of cheating haha (they're probably right on the accusations tho). People get real mad sometimes it's kinda funny. 😂

Omg literally laughed out loud reading this! Hahaha, how did you manage to fall over a road sign then end up in a ditch? lol omg hope you didn't get hurt too bad 😂 I was trying to downplay my drunken escapades but since you shared yours I should tell you my worst one:

I was at this summer street party at night and got drunk on something made out of tropical herbs and cachaça (which is about 48% alcohol), drank 3 and a half bottles of that like it was apple juice, made friends with a bunch of strangers in a bathroom queue (who tried to talk to me weeks later but I had no idea who they were), had to be held by my best friend while I peed (mostly missing the toilet), fell in the middle of the street and scraped my knee, threatened this boy who was helping me walk and told him not to try anything funny or I would beat him up, then dragged my friends to the beach and left them shortly after to go make out with my ex, came back with lipstick all over my mouth and chin and when my friends asked what I was doing I said I was just talking to my ex and they were like NO YOU WERE NOT, hahaha then I kissed all my girl friends on a dare and we danced under the full moon, then I told my best friend I had to puke so she took me to the ocean but I changed my mind and happened to step on a dead turtle on the way back and started crying bc of it, but last month my best friend told me it was a rock I had stepped on (I believed it was a dead turtle for 7 years!). Had the worst hangover of my life the next day. ✌️✨

Oh I could talk about Dani and Jamie forever I think. I love the beast in the jungle speech too and it's so painful to watch, VP delivered that beautifully, but I have to admit I'm always a crying mess from episode 1 when older Jamie starts reciting that song about being sad while waiting for her lover to return, this show is fucking cruel I hate it and love it at the same time hahaha. Omg your mom 😂 but I mean it's truly an honor to be compared to someone like Dani, no? She's really great even if she needs a little help haha (don't we all).

I used to draw a lot, really loved doing it when I was a kid as I said before, and all throughout adulthood too but I haven't done that in almost a year now bc I've got a bit of a case of burnout I guess, it just takes a lot of effort to do it when it shouldn't be like that at all. I used to do fanart too, for other fandoms. Even made one for Dani x Jamie but ended up not liking how it turned out haha. I've got a lot of respect for writers and fanfic writers also! Yall can make words make sense in really interesting and beautiful ways, build worlds so enthralling I can see them vividly in my head. Writing is such an incredibly fascinating skill to have! And I guess the most important thing is that we enjoy doing these things right? Even if we think we're not particularly good at it.

I was fine and was just laid laughing while my friend looked down at me and in the most northern accent ever just said "get up you dickhead." and helped me off of the floor and then asked if I was okay... and I was so it was all good!! Haha 😂 I love this drunken story that sounds like one hell of a night and is a roller coaster from start to finish!! I'm sorry you thought you had stood on a dead turtle for 7 years though, someone really should've told you that it was just a rock!! But that sounds like my kind of night!! I love nights like that... stories that will last a life time... the only down side is the hangover... luckily I have only ever had one hang over in my life and it wasn't the morning after the road sign fiasco... I felt surprisingly good the morning after that haha 😂 It's such a good musical it's about Henry VIII wives and I just love everything to do with his wives and that musical is so much fun and actually gives a little insight to the lives the six Tudor queens had away from Henry and with him because at school we're mainly just taught about him which sucks!! I requested off work for today 3 weeks in advance. Sam said she was gonna come to the metal concert. But she flaked. Oh well. Fuck her I guess. Idk. But Jay came! I loved it

A lot of "my people" were there. Like. Alternative! Of course. SO MANY GORGEOUS GIRLS THAT ARE MY TYPE. I was in the pit and this girl looked at me and smiled twice at me. I could have gotten her number. And as you know, at these venues you get to walk around during when bands are setting up. So I walked around and there was so many fucking hot girls that kept making eye contact with me!! I was like wtf am I hot? Again? Lol! It was insane. Even after the show when I went barhopping with Jay! Girls kept checking me out HARD! PROLONGED EYE CONTACT, DOUBLE EYE CONTACT, SO MUCH!

so I met Jay's friend Maura, he met her through tinder but they're friends. They haven't ever fucked. She's actually gorgeous wtf wow how do I not get matches like that, lol. I don't actually have a tinder tho.

Anyway she was cool. Her credit card got jacked but she fixed it and figured it out. She got crushed in the mosh pit too. She's cute and tiny. We were gonna bar hop with her after the concert and we totally did. I also ran into a girl who I knew from OkCupid a long time ago. I never fucked her. But she wanted me bad. Lmao. She actually knew Maura. LOL.

So I finally got buzzed and we drank at the place where Jay and maura agreed to. I started getting silly. Bunch of other people at the table they knew but slowly they left. Lmao. It was jus me, Maura and Jay left. I killed the big beer someone left for Maura. Oof. Got me good

We went to Niels bar. It's like an arcade. Well, me and Maura started getting very close. Another one of her friends added me on her Facebook earlier and Maura was like "did you get me too?!" And I gave her my phone and I have itachi from naruto as my keyboard for my phone! And she goes "omg is that an anime background keyboard?" And I said ya. And she lit up. She was so into me lol. She was hype. And she asked if I liked horror anime. She said a name of one and she said she's gonna message me the name of it! I was surprised a girl was so interested me that she even said she'd message ME? LOL. GIRLS GHOST ME. WTF? shocked. And shocked I was checked out a lot. I had my black tank top on, grey beanie, skinny black jeans and my chain. Idk. Cute I guess.

Anyway me and Maura started joking around hard. Somehow we talked about Deftones and she loved them HARD like I do and it was easy for me to keep talking and joking with her and she was amazing. I could date her. I could totally. We are almost the same. I'm so shocked. And she's gorgeous. Oh lmao her friend made out with her. Two girls. She made out with Britney. Lmao Brit was hitting on me and Jay too. But she was drunk

Um so Jay was on the table with me and Maura and me and her were just going off together. And I think I made him feel like a third wheel but he has a girl right now... And I already asked him if he wanted to pursue Maura and he said kinda but not really but kinda. So I felt like it was unfair. I felt dumb for not getting a lot of those other girls numbers. I only meet those gorgeous alternative babes that love metal like me at these places. Godamnit I'm dumb. I was just too sober to do it.

So as I joked with Maura, called her a dork, talked about exes and everything. I tried to get her to play a game with Jay. But Jay went off and played with another guy. As I'm having a good time with Maura, Jay texts me very salty stuff like "yeah kinda hard to get with a girl when you keep saying shit to her first" and I felt bad. Guilty. But.. she was into me. I can't help that. Jay is adorable btw. But she just was into me. Cause we have a lot in common. I um

I, idk why I can't remember the specific convos. I eventually got Jay and maura playing together. I got some hot funions from the vending machine and shared them with Jay and maura. I fed Maura lol. I'm a flirt. But I tried to feed jay too to make it even LOL but he didn't want that. I started fucking with Maura and shoved a funion in her nose hahahahaha. Then a lil later another one but I said I'ma shove it in her other nostril. And then I told her to come close, and I bit it out of her nose and ATE IT HAHAHA

then I got one in her mouth and said I'ma eat it out of her mouth. I said "but hey we're going to end up kissing" and lol. I did... Idk if she kissed back much but we were both aware that Jay would be upset. Um. I only did that when Jay wasn't there btw.

I could have gotten with her. I want her as a friend. She's incredible. So much in common and open af!

So we drove back together in separate cars and we took care of her cause she had a headlight missing and she wasn't sober so she can't afford being pulled over. And Jay drove in front and I drove behind her. It was nice

He called me and said he's gonna have her come smoke at her place. And that was my queue to leave them. And he apologized for being salty earlier. I didn't want to ruin our friendship so I let him have her. I really wanted her. but... I don't know. It felt like the friendship was more important
