not to out myself as an AI apologist but i think a lot (but not all!) of the ethical issues surrounding ai are only applicable when it comes to art/writing/translation/other topics that are primarily the focus of the humanities (i.e. AI art generation stealing work from artists)

it is really useful for coding in python / R when you don't have a background in CS & it helps me analyze nuclear magnetic resonance graphs -- both have a lot of resources behind them yes but it is a lot quicker + faster to ask AI whats wrong with my code/graph rather than comb through a textbook for 3+ hours (i have done both!) esp when you're a student that cannot afford excess resources.

it is such a shame about the environmental issues & the bad rep it gets from being unethical with the humanities because it could be a really decent tool lol

#UAUHGG im havung oc thoughts. plaguing myBRAIN. i can feel my heartrate spiking holy shit #ok so. i rly wanna touch up presto and shuffles story without scaring myself out of it by overthinking it. esp the implications of #them having animal features and what they would eat. as well as worldbuilding character dynamics setting background characters ugghh.#constantly have to tell myself its just for fun. basically theyre rival magicians who keep their identities secret and fuck it up in #the funniest way possible LMAO. they rent the same apartment and the landlady accidentally gives it to both of them without them knowing #so they end up walking in on each other out of costume and have this weird tension around not revealing each others identities despite thei #borderline malicious rivalry. blackmail may or may not be involved i havent decided yet #they DO consider backing out of tenancy but they decide not to so they can make sure they dont reveal each others identities #thats the idea but its really abstract bc i dont have a direction or writing in mind. they just rattle in my head like spare change #other stuff i have rn is. they both consider each other a copycat and they have the same skill level of magic #but they have different styles and techniques theyre just too focused on outperforming each other to notice #presto likes to make people laugh so they probably include gags and impossible feats. shuffle is more elegant and focuses on #smooth movements and dangerous stunts. i want to make that reflect in their costumes but its hard bc stage magician costumes tend to stick #to suits and capes.. so idk. then maybe side characters like the landlady and other tenants but i havent given em much thought orz #i really should practice with concepts because i have a bad habit of making everything similar to the first try so its frustrating #and i suck at writing characters. but im doing this for fun so im trying not to get hung up on whether its generic or not #yapping #stares at the floor. maybe i should make a carrd for my ocs #oc talk #presto #shuffle

Sometimes I think about how in this one show fandom, before the second season came out, people were so desperate to ship the mc w another man, that the top ship for a good bit ended up being him x someone's oc. And now that ship is basically nonexistent bcs more characters have been added. It's kinda sad to think about honestly.

But I love when people do that kinda thing so much 😭 when they make people think it's a canon character, or make people think a background character has more significance than they actually do. Many such cases.

i really like butcher but i feel like that's a basic answer and also the wrong answer. in another world id like frenchie but i can't get over how much i hate the actor. I love maeve theres never a moment she's on screen where im thinking get this woman outta here she's always entertaining to me. i like starlight but (and this is probably a bit nasty to say) there's smth a little uncanny valley about her sometimes where when she's talking im not listening but staring at her face trying to see what features throwing me off. I hate ashley but the actress played an insufferable character in jessica jones too and I really appreciate her ability to play The Most annoying woman you know.

I wanna take a crack at making some fake screenshot graphics for my Sif Odile duo loopers au but I do not feel confident enough in my ability to mimic isat's art style and I also have a crippling fear of drawing backgrounds

ok actual last post but my main problem w the xcore approach to art is that its not even enjoying art on a "surface level" bc it doesnt focus on or even acknowledge the emotion or idea or statement it's meant to convey but rather on a certain aesthetic theyre trying cultivate
