Color (Palettes) in Never Let Me Go - Part 2
Continuing my post about color palettes in Never Let Me Go the series. Part 1 talked about the color palettes of the show in general. This part focuses on another thing that were also visible enough: Thanya’s outfit colors as well as Nueng’s and Palm’s aside from their black-white uniform. Again, all screenshots are not color-adjusted/edited.
1. Thanya’s red, yellow, and green outfits/dress/shirts over her usual dark muted colored outfits. It was noted that she used these bright colored outfits only when Nuengdiao was present -- Red, during the announcement that she will take over as the new CEO of Phiphop’s company. Besides Nueng, there were also many other people (public setting). Yellow, when she just came back from Phuket, and talked with Chanon and Palm, and then Nueng came and hugged her (semi-private setting). Green, when she entered Nueng’s room when he was watching a video of Thanya being attacked while giving a presscon (private setting). Red, when she showed a hard exterior as someone that needs to step up taking over the role as a business leader in place of her late husband. Yellow, when she showed a softer exterior in front of her son as well as her trusted employee and his son. Green, when she showed parts of her vulnerable side to Nueng as a mother who also needs to take care of a family business.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not necessarily associated with traffic light, but, when I thought that red means stop, yellow means careful, and green means go, I think it somehow makes sense to use those colors to symbolize Thanya’s level of openness of her vulnerability to other people. She puts up wall to public and other people including Khit -- on another note, though, it seems that she didn’t mind the rather ‘close’ interaction between Khit and Nueng when she saw them hugged in her office. She trusts Chanon, and being nice to Palm, but to some extent both sides still maintain the formal boss-employee relationship. She spoils Nueng, that goes without questions, but there were some subtle shifts through episodes 1 to 3 on how she talked with Nueng. Although, I still have my doubt that she had fully trusted Nueng to share everything, in terms of her dual roles as both a mother to Nueng and a boss to Phiphop’s business.
2. Nueng’s plain shirts vs Palm’s Hawaiian/Aloha (printed floral) shirts. I think there should be other types of combination too, such as Nueng’s striped shirts vs Palm’s plain sleeveless shirts, but I will not list them in this post, yet. So, what was interesting about the combination between the plain vs the printed floral shirt is that the plain color of Nueng’s shirts were always in-line with the color combination of Palm’s printed shirts. That is, when they shared the screen together, Nueng’s shirt color was always a part of the color combination of the shirt Palm used. In short, their colors were almost always harmonious, matching to each other you may say, either in a shade mode (darker combination; there’s a mixture or presence of black) or a tint mode (lighter combination; there’s a mixture or presence of white). Somehow, I found the color pairing to be visually easy to my eyes. In a way, such color and pattern pairing may also suggest that both of them are visually balancing each other. It’s also interesting to note that, as the official trailer showed, in later episodes, we will see Nueng eventually wearing similarly styled printed shirts as well, especially during the beach scenes.
Tumblr media
Episode 1 - first meeting: Palm’s shirt was in a gradient of light-dark color scheme with hints of black/dark gray, brown, dusty blue/green/gray, yellow, and a bit of white. Nueng’s shirt was in brown, rather similar or in a monochromatic term with that little hint of brown on Palm’s shirt. The color pairing between the two outfits was in complementary scheme.
Tumblr media
Episode 2 - “pengyou” scene: Palm’s shirt was in a lighter color scheme including hints of red, darker or muted orange, lighter orange (more dominant), and a bit of green, with light cream as the fabric’s main color. Nueng’s shirt was in muted darker orange, similar to one of the colors on Palm’s shirt. The color pairing was in analogue scheme with some tints of orange monochromes.
Tumblr media
Episode 3 - dance scene: Palm’s shirt was in a light-dark color scheme with the shades of green, a bit of black or very dark green, and yellow as the fabric’s main color. Nueng wore a white shirt, and a very dark green suits/outer which color was similar to one of the greens on Palm’s shirt (I double checked with the Behind-the-Scenes video to be sure, but maybe it was quite hard to decide if it’s actually a dark green or just a darker shade of any other color). The color pairing here was also in analogue scheme.
Tumblr media
Episode 3 - shooting range: Palm’s shirt was in a darker color scheme dominated by a shade of turquoise, I think (?), as the fabric’s main color, with hints of lighter brown, yellow, darker green, white, and a bit of black. Unlike the previous three shirts, this one doesn’t include palm trees in its motif. Nueng wore a white shirt and a black vest, both colors also can be found on Palm’s shirt. This color pairing was in between almost complementary and triad (if only there’s a hint of purplish color on Palm’s shirt).
Notes: Analogue color scheme implies a similar or closer-in-relations color combination (colors are side-by-side on the color wheel), monochromatic scheme refers to a deeply harmonious and calming color combination (colors consists of one basic tone with shades and tints to it), and the complementary scheme suggests opposition or high contrast (colors are on opposite sides of the color wheel). I have yet to find any triadic color scheme, which represents a more vibrant and balanced color combination.

Note
petition for stem koo to do all the things for oc he originally said no one does (make her lunchboxes, makes her cheerful...) bc i think that’s a beautiful redemption arc
Tumblr media
cold senior!y/n x stem major!koo masterlist :D
jungkook's day one of his redemption agenda doesn't go that well in the end
"namjoon!!! my man. got any updates for me?"
seokjin strolls coolly on the way to his office, hair slicked back and his dress shirt definitely missing more than a few buttons
what's head admin gonna do??? dress-code him???
fire him???? PLS HE'D BE BETTER OFF!!!!
jin makes student affairs his bitch,,, not the other way around
"for the last time, i am nOt your secretary!!" namjoon stresses as he ceases his typing just to glare at him
he's the university registrar and everyone needs to go through him and at this point he's like a historical landmark from how he's made impact in less than two years
and he and seokjin graduated from the same batch!!!! they're the uncanny always pair for the subjects they shared together
it was definitely weird but functional lol cause one is uptight yet hardworking and the other's relaxed yet smart
sue them for working in the same place they swore they'd never go back to after graduation </3
"if you say-"
"some kid's been waiting for you even before i opened the office. made him sit inside but i just told him that he'd be expelled if he even tries to touch your coffee machine."
namjoon says even before jin could finish the sentence, clearly holding that in until the last minute
jin's obviously a lil annoyed because he's starting work as early as now but the way that joon laid all that out on him is a highlight for him
"thanks. knew you're a secretary for me first and a registrar second."
"no. i'm a national citizen before-"
alright alright he's not listening anymore
this bETTER be important because jin has to hold out his morning routine for whoever this kid is
"what can i possibly do for you today?" he rubs his eyes in preparation, intentionally dragging his steps because just looking at how near he is to his work computer gives him vertigo
"mr. kim!!!"
no
there is no way
there is no fATHOMABLE way that this has got to be happening to seokjin right now
"..... jungkook. what a pleasure."
he sits on his chair, voice gritted and monotone and he could just feel his eye twitching, his clenched fist under his deck now flipping off the kid in secret
it's a last-minute realization that he grasps that jungkook doesn't know you're his friend and it presents some really unique vantage points
like the time that seokjin recounted about a ridiculous student's filing for theft of his lunchboxes and he turned out to be your crush
or when he used his student affairs capabilities and pulled up resources left and right when jungkook broke your heart then seriously contemplated about messing up his academic record
or that time when he delivered a high and sleepy you to bed and then heard the entire conversation (if you could even call it that) between yoongi and this fucking nerd
"i need your help, mr. kim. you're the closest one to me i could ask!!" jungkook pleads desperately, the big doe eyes not really inducing an effect on him whatsoever lmao
"mhmm. i may not be the person for the job. counseling is right next door."
jin hums without even attempting to get jungkook to elaborate because for all he knows, his services aren't exactly open for people who hurt his friends >:(
(a guy once bumped shoulders with yoongi twice on the same day with aTTITUDE!!! and seokjin just dismissed the dude's concerns when a prof of his, who's a buddy of jin's, suddenly gave him an F)
seokjin IS student affairs
“no, no. you’re the only one who can help me!! you see, i-i just feel this brotherly connection with you and-“
“we talked once.”
god what did you used to see in this kid??
a crybaby aND an easily-attached personality to him? god it’s like jungkook’s just asking jin to pick on him
jungkook doesn’t seem to pick up how jin’s making it obvious he really doesn’t want to be of help if it has something to do with him
he likes interrupting and jin’s just the perfect match to interrupt him even earlier so now they just sound like one of those dubsmash snippets
“MR. KIM!!! how do you make lunchboxes? i don't know how.”
jeez where are his manners :O aren’t nerds like him supposed to worship the ground that admins walk on,,,
but what did pique his attention is the content of what jungkook just said
.... lunchboxes?
jin doesn’t want to give the kid benefit of the doubt because the last time he did that, you got hurt!!!!
if he has to hear hyeji’s name one more time, he’d really waste no time in stripping jungkook’s name from the honor roll
“remember that time i thought someone was stealing my lunchboxes?” he quizzes jin like it’s his job, clueless how he’s poking the bear even more with where he decides to go with this, “yeah. turns out no one was.”
was that not made clear the first time around!!!!!! he knows for a fact that a uni student would trade a classmate for a pack of gum but nO ONE would go for stealing a lunchbox
no one wakes up one day and decides that they’d steal a lunchbox. literally none
“but then this random girl claimed that it was hers a-and well i-...”
kook pauses to gauge jin’s reaction, clearly seeing now the one brow that’s raised at him
oh so if jungkook just asked him how to make a lunchbox, and he called h-word random,,,, then that would mean-
“i may have hurt the original giver of my lunchboxes at the process.”
.... that means he’s asking how to make a lunchbox for you
well that was a pleasant surprise
seokjin snorts briefly at that, dryly chuckling with his eyes widening to stress out his “non-threat” that’s pretty mUCH a threat
“wow. i might just give you a sanction for that.”
does he think jungkook’s a good person? lol he has to think about that for a month
was he wrong for hurting you that way? ultimately yes
but did he think at some point that jungkook’s completely heartless and wouldn’t try to redeem himself to his senior? no, not completely
but is he still on your team, regardless if the kid begs for mercy and you forgive him? yea a hundred percent :D yoongi and seokjin could never be brought out from your circle
"and you're doing this why?"
this is a no-brainer question for jungkook but the question still spooks him, feeling the chills at his neck that responding to seokjin is like a sTEPPING STONE when it comes to you
lmao if only he knew
"i uh, i just really wanna make this right. i messed up completely and it's pretty much unforgivable, but i atleast wanna try and give my best even if she doesn't forgive me, y'know?"
interesting
"mhmm. right, right."
???
he's still mad but he appreciates that jeon's doing the bare minimum of redeeming himself
speaking of, the poor kid looks like he's pissing himself because he may have just embarrassed himself with how long the silence stretches out
maybe,,, just maybe jin's gonna try and be a bridge this time
but like as soon as jungkook lacks for a fourth of a second, seokjin would BURN that bridge faster than a blink
"well first of all, you buy a lunchbox."
RIGHT RIGHT
:O
jungkook grabs a literal pocket notebook and jin pretends he didn't see that because WHO the hell does that!!!!
"of course... okay, proceed!! i'm taking notes," jungkook nods in understanding, jotting down the very important advice of not ordering from online because you can't smell the material through a screen
p.s. smelling containers before you buy them is a VITAL thing to do!! it already tells you about the quality at the first sniff
"are you buying one?"
"buying one for every day of the week. i'm thinking if i should get extras too-
"good idea. i recommend buying eight."
alright seokjin's mentioning some very specific colors and schemes and jungkook's not complaining!!!
MAYBE HE'S ONTO SOMETHING!!!
"what meals should i make? i don't even know what she likes!! and even if i knew what, how would i make it?"
why is his heart racing
yoongi may have taught you how to do your taxes but jin taught you how to cook food that's more than four steps!!!
he taught you how to not flinch at all when you're frying and that's the equivalent of raising you to be the woman that you are now <3
look at him and yoongi being your best friends!! teaching you about taxes and being unnerved at cooking oil and busting out a smoke ring or two <3
in fact, the lunches you've cooked for jungkook are all inspired and derived by seokjin!!!
the fact that jungkook's plan isn't bad and the way everything pieces together with his insight,,,, goosebumps luv
"....hypothetically? what i think she'd like?"
jungkook eagerly nods with stars in his eyes, fingers gripping onto his pen for dear life as he tries to channel all his listening techniques into this lecture
"get a bigger notepad."
:O
wow
"look at you!!" yoongi gushes the moment he sees you, waiting at you from the front door
you're going back to your classes again :D
you don't look as worse as you did four days ago!! you're not as sluggish and as animated too
"please don't," you snort as yoongi doesn't seem to stop looking at you like you've saved the world, giving no fight when he insists on carrying your backpack to your first class of the day
the past four days,, yeah they were undoubtedly rough
you slept as much as you could and for the moments you weren't dejected enough to be awake, you spent it surrounding yourself with seokjin and yoongi as much as possible
that's the beauty of hanging out them!!! you're not required to have a single thought lmao
except for the time when yoongi wondered aloud how eels even live and die (or if they even do???) in the first place and that sent everyone in a spiral and you didn't think of jungkook for a single seconds
you're not intimidated to go back to regular programming or with the fact that it's nOT unlikely you'd see a glimpse of jungkook in the hall and such
but that does mean that even if you're the bigger person, you're still gonna avoid him for as long as you could
speaking of!!!! you're looking for the person now that you're eager to find
"taehyung!!"
there he is :D you'd recognize that fluffy mop of permed hair anywhere
"y/n!!"
tae jumps over chairs in excitement to finally see you again after being so worried for you, engulfing you in a hug immediately
alright you see why yoongi thinks he's a golden retriever
you're clearly not a touchy-feely person but you'd let this one pass,, tae helped you (even indirectly) throughout your downtime anyways
"thank you so much for the cookies. i tried taking smaller bites just because i didn't wanna have them disappear that easy," you confess sheepishly, knowing how you had to pull the i just got my heart broken like two days ago multiple times so the two menaces would stop stealing from your stash
:D
jungkook's excited!!!! seokjin may have given him a tip that "he felt it in his gut" that you were gonna go to class today
he came a little late because he wanted to perfect the very loaded lunchbox that's in his backpack right now
oh weird
you're not in your usual chair
bUT jungkook sees a glimpse of your hair and he's certain that you're there and his heart may be beating out of his ribcage
a baby peach lunchbox with a sticker (of what seokjin said he thought you'd like) on the middle of the lid :D
pork katsudon with furikake rice aND coffee jelly pudding on the side!!! it was definitely pressure-racking to strictly adhere to jin's recipe but god does it look worth it
jungkook's only did miniature taste tests on it and he had to stop himself from devouring the lunch that he's made specifically for you
the lunchbox itself is tied neatly with a silk wrap, adding his touch of sewing your name visibly on it aND there's a scribble taped to the lid too
god jungkook really can't wait to make it up to you
sheesh that was one of THEE longest lectures you've ever felt you had
it was actually the same amount of time it's always been but maybe you've been out of practice from just staying at your dorm for days
tae's great company but he could be a little bit chatty!!! you just nod when you feel his voice go up and he apparently gets excited by that easily
.... he apparently also has a small bladder and he told you that within the whole hour of class
"hold on. i gotta pee before next period. go without me!!!' taehyung hurriedly slings his backpack to his arm, looking ridiculous in a rush
tae's sometimes unintentionally funny because you don't even share next period anyways
you're on your way to the exit when a shiny scarf catches the corner of your eye, having to squint at it because wow does it look pretty
is that-
is that your nAME???
you pick it up before you could even rationalize it, realizing then what it was wrapping when you feel the warmth on your hands
:")
"sorry i forgot my headband!!!"
taehyung stumbles back into the room, catching his breath to run back to his seat and fetch the headband he took from his hair to play with awhile ago
he looks shocked to see what's on your hands, flicking his gaze between you and the item but he doesn't think much of it
wOW that's a really shiny scarf!!!
"tae?"
"hmm yeah? what's up?"
he's about to jog back to the comfort room because he hasn't really relieved himself yet, not bearing to leave his headband in the room when anyone could snatch it up
you raise your lunchbox, a thankful gaze on your eyes that looks so close to crying which is why tae's mORE than lost now
"thanks for the lunch."
..
.....
jungkook could only helplessly watch.

hp update: what time is it? its VALENTIMES! thats right, i am in the midst of the new gildaroy lockhart themed valentines special event!
its valemtimes time in the magical phone game-iverse, and lockhart is on tour with his new book voyages with vampires and as part of that tour hes coming to his former boarding school. we get a level where we all gather in the cafeteria for an assembly before he talks to us. get a cute scene with all the different house kids sitting together at their tables talking about their opinions of valentines day. i dont remember all of them but heres the ones i do:
penny: its good and i love it.
tonks: of course you love it penny.
penny: i love that you know that about me!
diego: one of my character traits is that im inherently flirty. i have both hit on the mc and a centaur before but im not dateable so dueling or whatever.
jae: anybody want to buy some love potion? i swear im not a cop.
charlie: this holiday has no dragons in it = charlie no carey.
bill: im not here so i guess i graduated already
ismelda: i hate valentines day cause im goth
merula: i hate valentines day performatively because im merula and full of angst.
liz: aminals
barnaby: i get valentines sent to me in the mail all year round :) doesnt everyone? i have heard someone call me a heartthrob before :))
andre: gildaroy lockhart is a fashion icon i hope this lockhart themed event doesnt disappoint me.
tulip: prankintines anyone?? hmm???
talbott: i prefer................. flying solo (looks into the middle distance as themesong plays)
we get fun valentines themed class levels after this, in potions, transfiguration, charms, and herbology. each of these classes is implied to be made up of kids from your house plus one other house, so every player will have at least one class with each of the other characters. the potions class was notable because snape had a cauldron of love potion pre-made to show us and lecture about, but hes not about to teach us how to make it.
snape: this causes very potent infatuation only. using this potion is comparable to coercion. children conceived under its effects will be doomed to be unable to love*.
liz (!!!! who is IN THE CLASS!!): gross. why is it here?
snape: so i can teach you how to recognize and avoid it. this is the closest thing to sex ed you will ever get so pay attention.
we then get a bit where we can say what we think it will smell like, because love potion smells like what you love. your options are merula, barnaby, and nothing here. i picked nothing here.
barnaby: but... we went to the dance together... we went on that date too... why dont you want to smell me?
because i thought that would be a really weird thing to say in front of someone... barnaby or merula....
transfig class has a lovebirds to lovenotes lab. you get to pick how much of urself you want to put into the lovenote. i chose to keep my feelings private and so my note only said “be my valentine.” lovenotes work like howlers in this world, meaning they open themselves up and read themselves out loud. this implies the existence of many more emotion-based talking mail species but that is a thought for another day.
then we have lockharts talk. all lockhart levels so far have it so that the only thing you can click on is him and this is done intentionally. hes got some good new character specific animations. he says hes having a book signing in diagon alley and hes inviting a few randomly selected students to attend because he doesnt want the whole dang school there. seems like if this is a book tour, he should be having this signing somewhere in hogsmeade, you know the town close by. diagon alley is in london i thought and hogwarts is in scotland. granted, there are many forms of fast travel that make a move like that feasible but it just seems unorganized. i suppose the game devs cant make up a bookstore in hogsmeade that wasnt in the original text though im sure there would be one.
the event skips over the selection process but the mc is chosen along with the 5 dateable characters: merula, penny, andre, barnaby, and talbott. mama weasley is also there just cause she likes lockhart and wanted the book and hoped one of her kids would be chosen for the trip, the statistical odds being in her favor. this is post the latest christmas special because she greets both the mc and merula.
later lockhart names us his new valentines party planners and makes me captain, but he refuses to specify whether this party should be focused on his new book, himself, or valentines day. he then tells us to just plan it and leaves. we get down to business and decide that my captain name should be captain valentine. then we have a slow pan across all of my potential suitors faces as we ready for the next leg of the event, one-on-one levels with each of them. thats where i am now, but i just wanted to highlight andres animation in this shot. the game creators have really been killing it lately, giving some characters their own signature animations and therefore mannerisms. andre gives a nice little fingerwave here and it adds a lot of character.
so far ive done one-on-one levels with barnaby and penny. barnabys was first and i thought it fit with the story pretty well. i meet him in the herbology classroom and hes like i have an idea for decorating! we can use the roses we grew during out valentines herbology special class (which i didnt mention earlier because nothing else happened.)
we are given the option to say no barnaby thats stealing but im not percy so i didnt pick that. then at the end hes like
barnaby: so... remember how we went to that dance together...
mc: ye
barnaby: and then we went on both of ours first real date together...
mc: uh-huh. romantic, totally.
barnaby: well.... i dont have a valentine yet....................
he of course doesnt come right out and make you say yes or no right there because theres 4 more suitor levels i have to do but it actually makes sense for him to beat around the bush like this if it were that i really did shake his confidence by saying that i didnt smell him in the potion before. i am gonna pick him at the end, all these other levels are just filler. i would feel bad if i didnt pick him for everything date-worthy now both because not doing so leaves him up to the mercy of ismelda and just cause im boring like that. i picked him and ill see it through to the end of the game, which likely will end with us going to different colleges and loosing touch but still.
next level was penny. she wants my help with a charm rather than a potion this time. shes out of her depth. she comes right out and asks me to be her valentine even though ive never chosen romance options with her before at all. i was flabbergasted in a good way when it turned out that the game did in fact allow the mc to be gay by not locking any date choices by gender, but so far this was only in the mcs hands, this is the first time a character has confessed romance for the mc without the mc choosing it first. meaning, all of the datable characters could be canonically queer. i think thats pretty cool. penny is gay to me now.
the next level in my docket is with andre. lockhart has told him he wants the color scheme to be lurid pink. andre is distressed. never meet your heros kid U__U next hp update we find out why.

monochrome.
member: park jihoon  genre(s): highscool!au, lowkey crack, comedy(?) summary: a complete social recluse with a daunting aura paired with dark clothes; don’t be fooled by her appearance because underneath her monochrome concept lies a girl whose steps are as colorful as yours. (requested - bullet point format) word count: 1.5K
smh look at me and my slow ass updating
but y’know what let’s just get started before i disown myself
you’ve effortlessly managed to catch park jihoon’s attention
it’s funny bc you always stuck to the walls, barely spoke a word and never seemed to smile
you also have this rbf adorned on your face 25/8
and it’s so great that everyone has stayed away from you
oh and of course your choice of colour schemes made up of black, white and grey, has also got everyone believing you were highkey emo
but tbh you just thought it wouldn’t draw attention to you
well,,, your thoughts were proven wrong bc jihoon senpai noticed you
he just doesn’t know why
(in reality, his eyes were opened into a whole new world when you had t sit next to him in a class once bcs someone stole your seat and from there he took note of your existence, let alone the clash between you two)
and by clash i meant how you two were completely polar opposites
jihoon was one of the popular kids in school who manages to politely smile and greet anyone he crosses paths with
he also rocks up to school in those bright an eccentric clothes that only he can manage to pull off bc wow just look at those heavenly visuals he got blessed with
and contrary to you, jihoon always finds himself being the centre of attention without trying
so the alluring contrast between you two drew him as if he was a magnet
and as creepy as it sounds, jihoon began to silently observe you from afar and every time he observes you, he notices something new like how you habitually bite on your lower lip whenever you’re focused or how he knows what classes you disliked bc you zone out the most during those lectures
of course with every observation, the more jihoon was drawn to you bc no person treading on earth shows only one side of themselves
and he knows that there’s a lot more than what you show
however, the more his eyes wandered to you, the more he began to think of you
and little by little, he started to unknowingly fall for you
it took him a while to realise it though with denial being his first instinct
‘you’re just curious about her, jihoon. nothing more, nothing less.’ he used to think to himself
but then one afternoon, he was walking home from school with an ice cream in his hand bearing multiple thoughts in his head
and then jihoon just stops his tracks
bc he realised that all thoughts were about you
like it has been for the past few weeks
“i like y/n.”
achievement unlocked! realisation of feelings +20pts :^D
after that, he became more desperate as each day passed bc he wanted to get to know you
like forget about his huge little crush on you
he wants to know you as a friend
but the real problem was that he wasn’t sure how
until you crossed paths with you
it was in a small cafe located in the heart of the city where jihoon found himself sitting behind you and your friends one weekend
and his supposed plans of studying suddenly became an eavesdropping and lowkey-highkey stalking session
meanwhile you were completely oblivious to this bc wow you just had to sit where your back was facing him .inserts slow clapping.
your friends took notice of him though
i mean who the hell wouldn’t; despite trying to be discreet about it, his eyes were just on you every single minute and would immediately whip his head to the side like he didn’t do anything whenever your friends caught him
so they decided to break it to you bc wow someone’s checking out their friend for once??
your friends begin to talk in a hushed tone as they lean closer to table
“y/n there’s this really cute boy who’s been looking at you since forever”
you simply scoff, rolling your eyes at them before replying with pure sarcasm laced in your tone of voice
“yeah and this “cute boy” must have a skin clearer than my future”
“he actually does if you bothered to take a look behind you.”
still unpersuaded, your eyes squint accusingly bc bOi you ain’t getting fooled today
“kids the last time you said that i turned around to see the rubbish bin- like ok i get it trash meets trash. wow we meant to be.”
your friends all looked at each other and facepalmed, “no idiot - we’re serious this time. he’s been listening to your nonstop talking of the important videos playlist.”
“oh and i think he got slightly traumatised when he was watching you dabbing and singing to the guacamole song,,,”
“lol who wouldn’t be? that was the most embarrassing thing i’ve seen in my entire life-”
“i’m sorry but i don’t think i signed up for show me the money—why are y’all dissing me?” you interrupt them with your nose scrunching in distaste before you raise your index finger to accusingly point at them, “if i see a trash can, i'm going to lecture each and every one of you before dropkicking your asses to the great wall of china.”
“ok yeah gr8 now can you pls just turn around and look at him, it’s too painful to see him trying to be all secretive when he’s making it so obvious that he’s checking you out.”
“tsk, you kids never listen to me and besides, this guy probably does’t even exist.”
“pls y/n we’re already betting fifty chicken nuggets that you’re gonna be shook to the core.”
so without really having a choice you decide to turn around and who do you see?
park jishook
oh wait that ain’t his name
uh,,,, jihoon ye him
well your friends weren’t lying to you
cos you’re so damn diddly sh00keth even shookspeare got nothing on you
ok i’m kinda high on milk pls excuse
achievement unlocked! exposing yourself +30pts
“oh god, i have been exposed.” was the only thing you can manage to say once you find yourself in a staring competition with jihoon
on the otherhand, jihoon was mostly thinking the same thing bc w0w he just got caught stalking you
best thing he can do now is play cool
“oh,,, hi y/n. fancy seeing you here...haAhaAha...”
the coolest i tell you
your friends however has decided to all stand up from their seats, “wOw wOuLd yOu lOok aT tHe tImE. wE gOtTa zAyN.”
and you begin to stand as well bc they’re trying to save you such blessed friends
until they push you back down to your seat
“except you can stay here and accompany this cute guy. you seem to know each other, right? it’s rude to leave him all lonely.”
“wHAT BUT—”
“lmao nope byeeee” they all say in strange unison as they begin to leave the cafe one by one
damn u got snitched
but hey look on the bright side though bc you’re not alone
jihoon’s there too
so seeing that you already exposed yourself, you decided to leave your table to take the seat in front of him
“sorry about my friends, they’re pretty crazy.” the timid exterior he was once used to begins to show again once you began to talk
yet jihoon lets out a soft chortle, shaking his head in amusement at your sudden 360 change, “i think you were a lot crazier than they were to be fairly honest.”
his words slowly processes in your head and you simply blink at him, “did you just diss me...?”
fearing that his remark was taken wrongly, jihoon’s eyes widen and begins to make hand gestures, stumbling a little as he replies, “n-no! i meant that as a good thing, i- uh,,, yeah i should have thought that through.”
though the next moment, jihoon finds himself in a daze once he hears a laugh beginning to escape your lips as you watch his flustered state
and the way your eyes crinkled up at him paired with that glowing smile of yours made him realise that wow you’re a lot cuter than he thought¿
and after seeing a side of you that he’s never encountered before, jihoon decides to take this opportunity; pushing aside the fear of rejection and judgemental stare he might receive by impulsively asking you
“i know this might sound weird and rather sudden but if you don’t have anything else to do, do you just wanna hang out with me for the rest day?”
and you slowly nod your head as a reply, flashing a timid smile at his way as you casually reply, ignoring the pink tint dusting your cheeks. “sure, i don’t see why not. i don’t really have a life to tend to anyways.”
jihoon laughs at your comment, packing his stuff away before standing up with a huge grin on his face.
“well, let’s pretend that we have lives that we’re suppose to prioritise when we’re clearly just procrastinating. how does that sound?”
“sounds like a plan.”
so jihoon spends the rest of his day with you realising that you aren’t as dull as everyone assumed you to be
bc even just by walking beside you, he can already tell that you shine the brightest out of everyone in the crowd.

Let’s talk about being organized and how to create an efficient system for your chemistry notes!
I will be the first one to admit that I’m not always organized or put together. Though in retrospect, I should’ve been because it saves you 87684 hours when you sit down to study for an exam. On that note, let's get started!
Binder/Folder/Notebook Organization
Color code the subjects to match folders and notebooks. What I mean by this is to have a purple folder to match your purple notebook for chemistry. This system really helped me organize my subjects by color and quickly access them when I have to do homework or look over notes. (On top of that I like to use the same color when writing in my planner for due dates!)
Divide your binder into sections. Try to be mindful of over using colors on this part. It can start to get messy if you use the color system for your subjects and then another color system within that subject. Let me give you an example for chemistry:
General Notes - this includes basic stuff like vocabulary and theories.
Nomenclature - keep it simple and just continuously update it.
Reactions - put headers on the paper with what category these reactions fall into (Synthesis, Carboxylic reactions, Amine reactions, etc.)
Instruments - this relates more to an analytical chemistry class or an organic class, but don’t forget to include some pretty illustrations and sample spectrums.
Handouts - organize them by chapter and put answer keys behind each one if given.
Quizzes/Tests
Create a binder cover. These are fun to make because you can either draw it or print out an already made cover. I usually find a pretty font and colorful background.
Buy a separate binder to store old notes. So this is good for people like me that hoard their notes... and only use notebooks during the semester. When I finish a semester I usually have assigned binders to store my notes. For example, I have a 3-inch binder for ONLY general chemistry notes/tests/handouts. Then I have a binder for ONLY organic chemistry notes/tests/handouts. This system has made it extremely easy to store my notes under my bed and then pull them out when I tutor students!
Chemistry Note Organization (This can easily work for any other subject, but I’m going to stick to only chemistry-related for this post!)
Embrace the color system. Like I said before, don’t try to overdo it but adding colors in chemistry notes make it easier to follow. My prime example for this is organic chemistry:
Write non-carbon atoms in blue, purple, or green. Maybe do halogens as blue, oxygen/sulfur as purple and nitrogen as green. Do whatever works for you!
In a different color pen (black if you write in pencil), write the solvents used to perform the reaction. I don’t know how many times I forgot to look out for solvents because I read right over them...
In arrow-pushing mechanisms, I really liked to draw the arrows in red. This allows you to see how the reaction scheme works and what atoms get eliminated, substituted, or added.
Label compounds/ions if they're either an electrophile or nucleophile. Another thing I commonly read over because it blended in too well with my notes. The first-semester organic chemistry class is really heavy on knowing these terms and being able to identify them.
Highlight key terms. Pretty obvious but I know some people who have notes that are nothing but in pencil. I honestly don’t know how they can read their notes and study them...
Date and put headers. Another pretty obvious thing but sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what you need to focus on for a test. I usually go off dates and start with the first lecture after a test!
Get creative and draw illustrations. It spices up the notes and sometimes it’s better to study with a picture. This works well with theories like the Bohr model! Maybe even draw your own little IR spectrums or NMR peaks. I did that when reading my secondary organic chemistry book. Oh, and why not put some color in those illustrations as well, haha.
Annotate equations by circling variables you don’t know. I’m currently doing this for my analytical notes and it makes understanding the equations so much better! I can go back and see why or what a certain variable is being used.
Use margins to annotate. When going back at study notes, it can get crammed if you annotate them all over the pages. So try to create a column only for these side notes.
These are all the things I can think of when it comes to organization. If you have anything else to add, please feel free! Hope you enjoy. :-)

• CSS Grid layouts: main concepts, CSS grid vs flexbox, and layout techniques applied to a real-world project. This part alone could be an entire course!
Why should you take this course?
So you saw that the course is absolutely full-packed with content. But maybe you’re still not sure if you should actually learn advanced CSS?
That’s probably because CSS is so easy to get started with. In fact, most developers highly underestimate the importance and power of CSS. But nothing could be further away from the truth!
CSS is what makes our design come into life. And there is so much we can do with it! Mastering advanced techniques like flexbox, CSS grid and animations, will give you an edge over many CSS developers out there who still use outdated methods.
Plus, CSS can become a real nightmare when you try to master it, and when you have to maintain large projects. So having a good grasp on fundamental concepts is an absolute must for any serious front-end developer.
And this course will help you with all that!
So, should you take this course? The answer is most likely a big YES!
And I packed so much content into this course, that no matter if you’re just starting out, or if you’re already an experienced front-end developer, there is definitely gonna be something for you in this course.
And this is what you get by signing up today:
• Lifetime access to 20+ hours of HD quality videos. No monthly subscription. Learn at your own pace, whenever you want;
• All videos are downloadable. Learn wherever you want, even without an internet connection!

This is where he fell short of GM. James." - m'bwebe aja ishangi click here to read what hedz are sayin' (comments) below (written circa 1997 - updated 2017) pt.3: dyin' wit secrets by m'bwebe ishangi What has become, an ongoing series exposing one of the vital pawnz used in the Illuminati's global operation of caucasian dominance. Having obtained a copy of their history book, History of Sigma Pi Phi: First Of The Negro-American Greek-Letter Fraternities, by Charles H. Wesley, we found the plan was for a fraternity "conceived by one of them and partially perfected by two, to band together college degree men who were congenial (having the same nature or tastes)", pg 29. We also found their insignia, the Grecian Sphinx, covering an urn (vase) with its right paw, the circle-within-a-circle [representing both the [Cecil)Rhodes/(Lord)Rothschild Secret Society and the concealed history of Ra] also represents the container into which were placed the names of Greek citizenz who would be chosen by lot to lead the state. The word 'Sphinx' can be best defined as "to guard, protect or gatekeeper" in Webster's Dictionary. The Boule', founded May 15, 1904, is responsible for starting the eight black fraternities and sororities, which started a couple yearz later starting in 1906 with Alpha Phi Alpha. Their conspiratorial inception was to keep secret from Afrikanz who the real people in "power" is, therefore, "guarding/protecting" the secret establishment or "advising the King". This was during the early 1900s, a time where 'certain' blacks were just being allowed to receive a higher education at colleges and universities. The Boule' was very instrumental in stealing the now educated Afrikan from the infamous Marcus Garvey movement. This was done largely in part, by one of the NWOs (New World Order) best reprogrammed regimes, Henry McKee Minton. henry mckee minton: the mind of a devil Henry Minton was a physician out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the first black to have his own drugstore in the states. "He was one of the growing groups of trained community leaders, who were seeing clearly that a full life for themselves could not be assured without a sharing of their fellowship, camaraderie and idealism with others of like minds and hearts."(from Boule' History book) The ones responsible for "training" these negroes was, of course, YT. Wesley goes on to say of why Minton started the Boule', "this organization should be a fraternity in the true sense of the word; one whose chief thought should not be to visit the sick and bury the dead but to bind men of like qualities, tastes and attainments into close sacred union (exactly like Masonry and Skull&Bones!), that they might know the best of one another... In summary, Minton, wanted to create an organization which would partake, in his own words, of the "tenets (like) of Skull and Bones at Yale and Phi Beta Kappa..." If you read the piece I wrote on Skull&Bones, you already know they are the second chapter of the German-based Illuminati (aka New World Order aka One World Government). The Boule' protects the Round Table Group. It must also be noted that after an initiate becomes a member of Skull&Bones, they are called a 'Knight' (of the Round Table). Wesley was quoted once saying, "The Round Table lives only in poetic life and history. They can live again in life. And we can make them live through us. It can continue as a dream — and it can continue through us." We know from our studies the Round Table Group still exists. The Round Table Group is a secret society started by Cecil Rhodes and Lord Nathan Rothschild in the late 1800s. They were responsible for the last phase of development for global white supremacy we experience today. Rhodes and Rothschild, along with the Rockefeller's and Oppenheimer — who inherited Rhodes trust — control the racizm we feel on all four cornerz of the earth and in between. Rothschild is responsible for Europe; Rockefeller, North & South America, Canada and Mexico; and Oppenheimer, Australia, Afrika and the rest. The Round Table Group has connectionz with the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), Committee of 300 aka the Olympians, Imperial Brain Trust, Trilateralists and the Invisible Government, all white supremacist organizationz scheming demonic planz against people of color as we speak. But not all negroes who were reprogrammed remained negroes. One Afrikan in particular, Geroge GM James, did what no other had the cahunaz to do! Yet, to this day it remainz unspoken! So, in his honor, I will do a comparison... carter g. woodson + web dubois vs. george g.m. james Carter Godwin Woodson, the "Father of Black History" and WEB DuBois, are two noodle-back negroes that couldn't find it in their soulz to do something as courageous and honorable as the late George Granville Monah James. James, a Master Mason, wrote the controversial book, Stolen Legacy, which was published in 1954. Shortly after the book was released in the same year, it's said James' left his job one evening (he was a Professor at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff) and his body was later found in Nashville, Tennessee (over 360 miles away!); believed to be a masonic death with his neck cut from ear-to-ear and his tongue cut out. Back then, if you were a Mason and you told secrets, you would pay with your life (not to say this isn't possibly still the case today). The Blue Lodge Oath (1st - 3rd degree) states, "I promise I will not write, print, cut or engrave masonic secrets... binding myself under no less penalty than to have my cut throat across, my tongue torn out by the roots and my body burned." His book clearly proved that Greek philosophy was stolen Afrikan history; demonstrated the Afrikan origin of the Mysteries Schoolz; and created a social reformation through relearned philosophy of Afrikan history. His work served as the foundation to Afrikanz finding themselves in Kemet before YT, thus giving our origin back to the Afrikan wo/man. He was also able to prove several of the so-called greek "scholarz" (pirates) were known to have studied in Kemet, or were instructed by otherz who had studied there, and those who had not studied under the priests of Kemet had access to the texts stored in the Library of Alexandria which housed countless plagiarized texts of the Mysteries Schoolz, and upon those greek plagiarizerz returning to their native cities, many were exiled or condemned to death (ie. Socrates and Plato); and as young students, they disappeared from sight only to surface decades later as masterz of various schoolz of thought completely foreign to their native landz. Carter G. became well known for his infamous quote, "When you control a man's thinking, you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand here or go yonder, he will find his proper place and stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit." Woodson eventually became controversial and wrote his bestselling, Miseducation Of The Negro, yearz after being exiled from the Boule' along with DuBois. Woodson, a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, can be found receiving grant money from the Carnegie, Lord-Spellman and the Rockefeller Foundation to assist in his education programz. He also lost most of the grant money because he refused to merge his operationz (under direct orderz of the foundationz) with Tuskegee spy, R.R. Moton (a Sigma). These revelationz made Woodson realize he had made a grave mistake and began telling the people we were being miseducated by white folks, not just in schoolz, but in life itself... yet he never gave any inkling to the black (nor white, for that matter) secret society he had once belonged to. This is where he fell short of GM. James. This showz that although he had been disgruntled with the learned conspiracies of Afrikan people facilitated by the Boule' (under orderz of the Round Table Group), he couldn't bring it to himself to relay this vital information to the people. Maybe he feared his death, like GM James experienced. Nevertheless, he chose to bury the secrets with him—which showz he still obliged the secretly sworn oath of maintaining the status of white supremacy and never letting Afrikanz know the whites who rule the world, who are responsible for our decreasing educational, economic and spiritual existence. Why is this so important? Think, if someone told you a loved one was murdered and they saw it, one of the first thingz you're gonna ask is, "who did it?" If they just told you "they" or "them," you'd be like "What?! Who is 'them'?!!? What's his or her name?!" Woodson writing his book tellin' you it's somebody but omitting to tell you exactly who only makes it that much more complicated to go after whoever we need to go after, feel me? DuBois was no better as he was publicly a staunch adversary of Garvey's. He emphasized the importance to "steal the Afrikan professional away from Marcus Garvey" because an Afrocentric organization that articulated and, as Boule' researcher Steve Cokely stated in one of his lectures, "...captured the black professional would give whitefolk no safe haven in the Afrikan community, so the making of the Boule' was necessary to build a group of loyal negroes who had an investment in protecting the white system as produced by white supremacy." DuBois along with other NAACP memberz organized the 'Garvey Must Go' campaign and colluded with the U.S. Government to set him up on mail fraud and have him deported in 1927. He was quoted once calling Garvey a "gorilla" and a "monkey" attempting to "Tarzanize" his back to Afrika movement. However, yearz after his exile from the Boule', DuBois became controversial. Most associate him with the start of Pan-Afrikanizm. This chameleon sold our people out duplicating Woodson's sworn secrecy of protecting/guarding the secrets of the Boule', never revealing the names of those they protect. This negro, who hated Garvey and Afrika so much, actually audaciously ended up moving to and eventually dying in Ghana, West Afrika! Talk about a spineless hypocrite! Why so harsh a critic am I? DuBois was also the first negro to write for the Round Table Group's offspring, the Council on Foreign Relations, magazine Foreign Affairs. Foreign Affairs published a series of articles in 1925 by DuBois, who's close friend Hamilton Fish Armstrong wrote the book, Hitler's Reich: The First Phase and was an influential member of the CFR. DuBois wrote mainly about race issues and imperializm, but we should also know it should not be a shock to know YT would not have DuBois unless they felt he was that "kind" of pawn that would protect their interests, as evident in his anti-Garvey rants. In an article he wrote, 'The Collapse of the Only Thing in the Garvey Movement Which Was Original or Promising', DuBois felt Garvey's Black Star Line was "original and promising," but went on to say that "Marcus Garvey is, without doubt, the most dangerous enemy of the Negro race in America and in the world. He is either a lunatic or a traitor." Garvey suspected DuBois' beef was rooted in him being of Caribbean descent and more importantly, his darker skin. DuBois once described Marcus Garvey as "a little, fat black man; ugly, but with intelligent eyes and a big head." [cited by Robert A. Hill]. In return, Garvey appropriately called DuBois "purely and simply a white man's nigger" and "a little Dutch, a little French, a little Negro ... a mulatto ... a monstrosity." This led to a bitter relationship between Garvey and the NAACP [author of 'Negro with a Hat: The Rise and Fall of Marcus Garvey and His Dream of Mother Africa,' Colin Grant]. Garvey accused DuBois of paying conspiratorz to sabotage the Black Star Line to destroy his reputation. the naacp connection to the boule' In 1919, a group organization protested against the Boule' in Washington, DC, exposing their allegiance to global white supremacy. Because of this, the U.S. military investigated the Boule' and later adopted them as a spy network alliance. Cokely pointed out each member of the Boule' must take a lifetime membership to the NAACP, so it serves as no coincidence that we also find during that same time, in the 1910s, the NAACP initiated the Anti-Lynch Bill with the U.S. government. DuBois was one of the pawnz used in the finding of this so-called negro organization which is also started, owned and operated by the Round Table Group. The NAACPs major fund contributorz come from the Rockefeller Foundation who once gave them $3 million in the 1990s. Overstand, the government did not pass this Anti-Lynch Bill until 1959 — some 40 yearz later!! Why?? We found the government would comply with this "request" ONLY if they (NAACP) would trade "Black intelligence"; and they did so freely for almost half a century! In other wordz, the government would not honor this bill unless the NAACP agreed to spy for them! Word out is the Boule' can also be linked to the Tuskegee Experiment in Alabama! Let's note at that time, R.R. Moton was the head of Tuskegee after Booker T. Washington's sudden death (we deal with this in Part 4). Of the negro doctorz who injected Afrikanz with syphilis, they were Boule' hired on contract by the government. There was an incident with the local KKK because the clan did not believe the Boule' would not, could not, do such a thing as expressing loyalty to YT over their own people. So they showed up to make sure they would. Needless to say, they met no resistance, for the Boule' doctorz assured the clan the government hired to right group and that they would fulfill their assignment. These bootlickin' house negroes assured the illuminati there was a group of loyal negroes available to counteract any type of Afrikan the "king" did not like. In 1917, one Lt. Col. Ralph VonDemon set up a negro spy network, under direct orders from then U.S. Secretary of War, Newton D. Baker. Baker's special assistant, or negro laison, was Emmit Scott who was the Boule' grand archon in 1941 (Scott was also the one who was responsible for the emerge of Carter G. Woodson!). Scott worked very closely with jewish spy, and co-founder of the NAACP, Joel Spingarn. We also found that the spy, R.R. Moton, Woodson refused to work with, was the one who got Emmit Scott his position with Baker. Moton was on duty during the Tuskegee experiment. In fact, he was responsible for bringing the U.S. Army to Tuskegee! Moton also was the one who stopped the KKK from having white doctorz in Tuskegee to instill the syphillis. VonDemon later hired "jewish" spy Joel Spingarn to "watch" (spy) the Afrikan community. This points out a direct link between the U.S. government, the Boule' and the NAACP, all spying on the Afrikan community looking for, what "Gay" Edgar Hoover later called in his COINTELPRO operation, the next "Black Messiah" who would emancipate the mentally enslaved Afrikan. All these organizations were working under strict dictation from the Illuminati or Round Table Group. NOTE: In a memorandum dated 11 October 1919, J. Edgar Hoover, special assistant to the Attorney General and head of the General Intelligence Division (or "anti-radical division") of The Bureau of Investigation or BOI (after 1935, renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation), [source: Federal Surveillance of Afro-Americans (1917-1925)] wrote to Special Agent Ridgely regarding Garvey: "Unfortunately, however, he [Garvey] has not as yet violated any federal law whereby he could be proceeded against on the grounds of being an undesirable alien, from the point of view of deportation." Sometime around November 1919, the BOI began an investigation into the activities of Garvey and the UNIA. Toward this end, the BOI hired James Edward Amos, Arthur Lowell Brent, Thomas Leon Jefferson, James Wormley Jones, and Earl E. Titus as its first five African-American agents. Although initial efforts by the BOI were to find grounds upon which to deport Garvey as "an undesirable alien", a charge of mail fraud was brought against Garvey in connection with stock sales of the Black Star Line after the U.S. Post Office and the Attorney General joined the investigation. The Illuminati's need to "control" the nine areas of people activity (economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, sex, religion, and war with Keidi Awadu adding a tenth, HEALTH) as noted by Drs. Neilly Fuller and now Ances-Star, Francess Cress Welsing, had a significant impact in the realm of education. There has also been the misconception that our HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) were started by Afrikanz. This is not the case. The Illuminati used the Boule' when they started to build these so-called "Black" universities. Rockefeller and Julius Rosenwald joined forces in the financial backing of these breeding groundz mistakenly called institutionz of higher learning (which should instead be called higher training). Labeled the Push Foundation, Rosenwald joined the Rockefeller Foundation in 1922. Together they found Phipps, Atlanta, Dillard, Spelman, Howard and Clark Universities just to name a few. Most likely there is a Rosenwald Hall on each and every HBCU across the country. In part 4, we go into the making mindset of a sellout.
