genuinely don't understand how lestat nation is mad about that last episode. we have established.
Louis still thinks of Lestat as the one he trusts, is violently guilty and also horny about him
the final thing that makes him stop circling armand and go for it is confirmation that lestat and armand fucked. like they are clearly attracted to each other on their own merits but they are also appropriating lesbian culture.
lestat has the most magical dick in paris. probably europe. possibly the world. everyone who looks at him falls in love with him a little and no one who fucks him ever gets over it.
armand specifically isn't over it. 200 years later louis by his side he's still like that.
there is a 0% chance there isn't more to the nicki stuff. armand didn't even mention gabrielle and hannah moscovitch has already said gabby is what she's most looking forward to in season three (hard same). also if lestat did tell his creepy boyfriend kidnapping stalker he loved him as a distraction so he could run away the only thing he did wrong was not taking the boyfriend with him. he owes armand less than nothing! i love armand but if lestat wanted to slit his throat and leave him in a swamp he'd be justified in that. he doesn't, which is great for me, but that is the one person besides his dad and i guess the ghost of magnus where he can do whatever he wants forever and it's fine. unholy trinitity of bad men who were bad to him when he was vulnerable and couldn't fight back. if claudia hated him less they could talk about it. however, speaking of bad men who are bad to people. oops.

why do you think louis said this might be the only time he plays at the hollywood bowl? do you reckon it might be because his tickets sales aren’t going well and he was told that it won’t be possible to book venues like these next tour? that made me kinda sad :((
every day I get asks being like "do you think [random thing that happened in the last 24 hours] is because Louis' ticket sales are so bad?" and it's obviously just annoying harries with nothing better to do than try to make people unhappy (TPWK!!!) and maybe they're just getting cleverer here and have tricked me, but this sounds like it might actually be a person who they are getting to with this garbage and have made unhappy so fine, I'll bite-
Louis' ticket sales are going FINE!!!!
He is playing great shows every night and is on target for the tour he has booked and everything he's doing is completely sustainable and if nothing changes (which it will, for the bigger; he has been picking up more fans every year) he can keep touring like this (and playing these venues) indefinitely! The idea that every show that doesn't sell out is a failure is made up and makes no sense- if every show sold out there would be people who wanted to give them money but were unable to do so. That is not how capitalism (and growing your fanbase) work for any working musicians outside the top .00001% biggest in the world! If your venues sell out, then next time you book bigger ones, and you keep doing that until you hit a size where it doesn't sell out so everyone can buy buy buy those tickets.
I can't know for sure why Louis said what he said; but he is constantly in disbelief that things are going as well as they are for him and while this album and tour especially he seems to have finally started to believe we really do like what he does and aren't going anywhere, I think that's still there and that's what I heard with that. I mean also it could be next time he plays LA he ends up in an equal size but less iconic venue and booking never lines up with that space again or something, for all I know it's really hard to get on their schedule. Hollywood Bowl is a historic and renowned venue and Louis was excited to play on a stage that has hosted so many famous people and moments and was trying to be in the moment and appreciate it (as he has been focused on making an effort to do lately) because the future is a mystery and anything that is ever happening might never come around again, but I don't think it's cause for concern.

i'm still on the fence abt the "claudia actually slit lestat's throat instead of louis"-theory, however upon rewatching the last few minutes of episode seven, it could be true.
aside from lestat never actually saying "put me in my coffin louis" in the episode, another hint might be what armand says daniel after daniel accuses louis of always choosing lestat over claudia (and that line abt louis needing emdr lol): "you've only heard half the story. when you hear it, you'll be ashamed of what you say to him now"
why would daniel be ashamed of saying that louis would always chose lestat? because in this neat little narrative louis (and armand) have crafted, lestat might have doomed claudia by lying that she killed him in order to protect louis. so how dare daniel say that to louis when lestat is the primary instigator in claudia's death? he should be ashamed if this is the version of the events in paris louis is going to relay to daniel. plus, this could also play into louis editing the story to protect claudia.
maybe the only truth abt lestat's "death" we've seen thus far is louis cradling lestat's body and screaming in anguish because this is an instance of daniel successfully poking a hole in louis' story.
with that being said, we'll have to wait and see how paris plays out in season two and what armand's role is going to be.
