#my god #stage one is finally complete . . . . . . . .#if you can recall that poll i reblogged about passing out #that important contact i received was mr. seto of the vocaloid team #who messaged me asking about a collaboration and quite literally nearly caused me to pass out #i read the message preview on my phone #stood up #saw stars #and collapsed onto my bed and had to lay down for like. 10 minutes before my body would stop feeling distant and weak w #i similarly felt ready to pass out today when i sent a message to ask when the announcement tweet would be #and they tweeted it. immediately after w #no joke rice and i were scrambling behind the scenes to get our act together and figure out what we wanted to say KHGJGSJKFHGKJ #all the while screaming because yamaha said they'd be posting it on valentine's day and we thought they meant our timezone w #because the whole point of this collab was to get the zolas more well known in the english-speaking sphere w #EITHER WAY #i am. so so tired and now i need to pass out so i can get enough sleep before more internship tomorrow w #which is heating up because my seminar professor wants a detailed plan of my final project goals This Friday #but my mentor won't know anything about where to fit that in until Thursday at the earliest #and my supervisor just hounded me over email to coordinate with the two other people at my station and choose an activity to lead #but that requires. planning. that our mentors won't have until thursday........#perishing . . . . . .

people wonder why artists are leaving the site in droves and abandoning their accounts meanwhile most FANDOM art barely gets 5 likes in two days. barely gets 2 reblogs in the span of half a year.

and im not even gonna TOUCH on what it's like for oc art (which gets no interaction. at all. ever. oops I just touched on it.)

why the fuck would people keep feeding ai companies when absolutely no one is supporting them? when absolutely no one cares about their art? when no one even spares it a second glance? why would tey go through the trouble of glazing and nightshading everything when it gets NO INTERACTION AT ALL. When it's going to rot in the tags buried under hundreds of other ignored pieces of art. when ai generated photos get dozens of reblogs and likes in the first hour.

you people wonder why artists are leaving? You. you are the reason.

I’m not a parent so I really have no authority to say this but it makes me so sad whenever I see a little kid with a phone or iPad or some other piece of distracting technology…I think it’s going to be so rough on those kids once they reach middle and high school and if they or people around them don’t stop the cycle they will become very sad, very unfulfilled adults. Giving a child a tool that plays endless videos on stupid stuff is doing far more damage than it’s worth

#my parents very much had the right idea to not let me get a cell phone until high school #and i didnt even get a smartphone until I was 16 #and i remember very clearly I had a limit on screen time as a little kid. did it make me mad then yes of course I was six #but it was SO good for me #also editing this it’s okay to reblog this

#i just felt smacked in the face with a mirror reality something i could see not only myself but so many other people i know/have known in #with a frighteningly sharp precision #some of the people in whn look IDENTICAL to real life friends or exes or people i knew in high school or coworkers #i sent it to my friend and he said 'i feel like this HAPPENED to someone i know'#i keep thinking about that awful feedback loop of mental illness isolation and social media addiction #but its so much more complicated than 'touch grass' like you could shoot all these peoples phones #and theyd just turn to something equally toxic and retraumatizing and self-flagellating #they already show this because they have ed's and self harm and abuse substances and spend money they dont have #the chronic online-ness is a symptom not the disease #the thing that makes me a little sick is how much i relate to milo refusing to delete his tumblr even after everything #i have had instances in my life where posting on tumblr was actively making my life worse or harder or getting in the way of real shit #and i still use it as a crutch in the worst of times #its just funny cuz its this thing that saves you from riskier vices while still obviously perpetuating those things #because its a place that reflects You so heavily #you reblog sad shit cause youre sad and it makes you sadder #you wanna self harm you see people post their cutting pics now you feel like its not so weird or bad #its making me ask questions like 'am i stunted' 'what does it mean to be stunted' and then of course #when is someone 'acting like a victim' and just A Victim and can you do both and what does that mean #man....

I keep on trying to make this post and keep on erasing it but I think I need to take a break from Tumblr.

#I have had to unfollow a lot of people #and I have blocked so many more blogs #because this site's inability to acknowledge any kind of nuance and their immediate jump to conspiracy thought is getting too much #I don't even know what I would theoretically do if Tumblr actually becomes unusable to me... either because everyone I follow leaves...#or I find myself unfollowing too many people #I don't like the formatting of any other social media Tumblr is truly unique in its experience + the only site that has enjoyable UI for me #it often feels like the social media equivalent of parallel play and as someone who has a lot of anxiety about online conversations...#I just can't get used to anything else #and I'm frustrated because I have some feelings about the recent discourse that I know would be unpopular #and watching half my dash turn into a mindless reactionary mob has me exhausted #I don't know...I'm just rambling in the tags here...#I'm gonna disable reblogs on this post and I might delete the app off my phone for a bit #so I'm not tempted to mindlessly check back on autopilot #if you're someone I actually talk to you should be able to find me on discord #and if you're a former mutual that I currently have unfollowed...if you're still here when I come back I might just refollow you

#hearing about anyone getting tumblr app notifications on their phones is BAFFLING to me #tell me you've never had a viral post without telling me youve never had a viral post lmao #why does my PHONE need to be yelling at me whenever anyone likes or reblogs my stuff??? i mute that crap IMMEDIATELY #the only tumblr notification not muted on my phone is direct messages. thats been helpful #back when tumblr like/reblog notifications used to show up on your dashboard it was also annoying when you had a viral post #but now that notifications are on their own page (and truncated!) its like. who cares!!!#'likespam' is a fun gift to myself whenever i visit that page!#which i do constantly in case you think im immune from social media interaction validation! i'm not!

so much has happened in the last day and a half??? i bought a car (like a used car so it wasn’t like a LOT a lot but STILL I BOUGHT A CAR) and my sister cheated at euchre so we won <3 (actually we would’ve won anyways but it was really funny lol) and i drove back to my apt today and spent the first four hours cleaning up after our two roommates who graduated this semester and all i took was a fifteen minute lunch break but i got SO MUCH done ough i really went for it i took everything out of drawers and cabinets oof and THEN i did three loads of laundry and changed my sheets and showered and also apparently our bedroom doors have batteries??? anyways mine died so i had to go to the office so i could get into my bedroom and i also unpacked a Lot because ya girl got a VACUUM!!! anyways grace and i had to get a bunch of stuff for the apt since our roommates took their stuff when they moved out so i brought a bunch back with me lol aNYWAYS My brain is moving SO fast right now ough

#it's been a Day #also i had to talk to my parents over the phone to make sure they got along for a bit but i think that's settled now???#also my mom's boyf texted me a THANK YOU MESSAGE??? when i tell you i was shocked lol #so that's why i haven't been on much today and am about to reblog go through grace's account <3 #and hopefully some asks that i meant to get to but Forgot </3 #and also my back is KILLING ME cannot wait to be done and just lie down haha #also i need to put away the second load of laundry oops #hope y'all are doing well MWAH

adhd/autism is so frustrating because throughout the months/years you've learned what rules you have to follow to have a good day, but when you don't follow those rules your whole day falls apart, no matter what you do

#i tried so goddamn hard for 8+ hours before eventually just giving in and going to sleep #maybe had a succesful hour in there #i even tried out like half of my breaks to feel better but it just never did #hhhhhhhhhh #i even wrote down my own rules!!!!!!! but when i checked yesterday i crossed 3 of them and apparantly those were deadly. orz #no sugar no phone in the morning and take a shower when you want not when you think is acceptable #i was going to swim but it got cancelled i sholdve just showered immedeatielt #anyways. it's good to find out what rules you have to live by but it's so cruel to have to follow them each day #my cat was so cute though...... cuddling me while i was trying to get up...... why is he deadly #my text #ok to reblog #adhd #autism
