Hmm. So, after the Gourmet Association, I'm starting to wonder (and worry) about a few things.

They were hardcore trashing Joonghyuk for not being a constellation himself and, thinking about it, I don't think Dokja has ever mentioned Joonghyuk being a constellation? AFAIK he's never mentioned a modifier he may have had or his own stigma or even said something like "oh I'm a constellation now, it took Yoo Joonghyuk X stories to become one" or something like that. On flip side, he's also never outright said that he couldn't be one or that he never became one.

I mean, the way ORV is written, Dokja keeps everything close to the chest so maybe it's just being saved for a big reveal later but it does make me wonder if Joonghyuk can't become one due to the regression constraints (we already know he's not allowed to inherit the stories of other constellations) or maybe it has something to do with being a transcendent.

If he can become one, I wonder if and when he will. Dokja's talk with Anna after the banquet kind of highlighted that Dokja is lowkey "stealing" the achievements from others since Dokja was aware that Iris wouldn't actually die and in fact would have been greatly improved but used it as an opportunity for himself instead. In early scenarios in particular, Dokja says multiple times that he knew to do something because someone else (usually Joonghyuk) did it first. Such as destroying the Throne.

Of course, he doesn't always copy others, especially as we get more into the story. Dokja himself says:

So far, I had always made a different choice from Yoo Joonghyuk. I wasn't Yoo Joonghyuk. Amidst the strong backlash, I always walked on a different path. (Chapter 247)

And when Dokja reads the revised TWSA it's Joonghyuk that begins copying his path at times.

...Which may or may not have been Joonghyuk's path in a later regression that Dokja was copying. At this point it's just one big Joonghyuk-Dokja-Joonghyuk-Dokja circle of future knowledge.

Anyway, it's implied that at least for some choices Joonghyuk would never have received the same story, especially since Dokja also says in the same section that Joonghyuk always makes the same exact choice in certain sections (presumably once he learns that that choice works to move him to the next scenario).

So I'm going back and forth on whether or not Dokja has (intentionally or not) delayed Joonghyuk becoming a constellation. Assuming he can even become one.

It makes me think back on the fact that it's been brought up multiple times that Dokja's companions aren't as far ahead as they would have been if they'd gone with Joonghyuk instead. As well as the fact that they're continuing to progress fine without Dokja. That's almost certainly because Dokja puts everything on himself. As much as he can possibly bear. (He even tried to withstand the pain of Heewon melting Hyunsung for him.) He's so stressed that something will go wrong without him. Honestly, seeing the bazillion ways that Joonghyuk failed probably gave him some kind of unseen anxiety, now that I think about it. Unfortunately, with these life or death scenarios where one little mistake can end everything, he's not completely wrong.

I will not be shocked if we eventually have some kind of breakdown with Dokja completely terrified because he's not able to completely control/be involved in a situation as much as he thinks he needs to. In fact, we literally just saw him begin to panic when Joonghyuk refused to let him take over his body at the Martial Arts Competition. He was so certain he had to help him or else.

Now, onto a completely different tangent, the amount of enemies Dokja is making so quickly is definitely worrying me. 😬 I mean, it was bound to happen eventually, we're almost halfway through the novel. And he did seem to pick up a couple of constellations that are at least interested in him, if not outright allies. But I honestly wasn't expecting him to come right out and say that he's going to get to the end of the scenario or that he's so angry with the way constellations treat the incarnations. He's rocking the boat very hard and very fast, which is Dokja to a T but it makes me fear for him. Especially because Joonghyuk isn't also a constellation (yet?). Or at the level of transcendence where he can help him against higher grade constellations. Dokja's this itty bitty baby constellation who's heavily relying on the goodwill of other more powerful constellations. Who don't always help him even when they like him...he's had to trick some of them into helping in the past.

Everything changed is also a crossover with Check, Please!, but I suppose it counts since it is still a Glee fic. I guess it is kind of sad that I struggled with this list after no. 5 😬. Like, I literally sat here going “uhhhh.... aap noot mies, I guess? Kinda? Hmmm.”

There’s just a lot of older stuff that I don’t really remember. I’m sure they’re fine and that I will like them if I reread them. I only knew of two fics that I definitely did not want on the list, but most of the 68 fics are just kind of “in limbo”.

And also I gotta say that no. 1 to 4 kind of share a spot. Those are just my fave fics that I have written and I do not want to pit these bad bitches against each other but alas 😔. I put River fic on one because I feel like that one is the best in “technical” sense. All the pretty things was a fucking experience. So was Myosotis and I loved the universe I created for it. Okay. Woah. Good thing I split the categories because I genuinely had no idea Glee isn’t in my top 10. I am shook. Myosotis sylvatica is on no. 14! A Love, Victor fic has more kudos than my Glee fics. I didn’t even like Love, Victor which is why I wrote fix-its and missing scenes for it! Not gonna lie, this kind of saddens me. Or maybe sadden is too harsh. I don’t know. It makes me feel something. Glee is my main and my longest fandom (not counting Winx Club) (I will write that Winx Club/Glee crossover fic one day that is a threat) (to me).

I knew that the B99 was the most kudo’d because it accompanied a post that I made on Tumblr and that one also got a lot of notes. I’m happy All shall know the wonder is on no. 2 because I love that one. I am still so amused by people liking my Doctor Who clusterfuck. How lucky we are to be alive right now was my first Carry On fic and it definitely no longer represents how I write for this fandom, so the fact that it’s the most-well known (which I also knew) gives me mixed feelings because on one hand I look back on it with fondness in an “awww look at that wee baby” feeling, but on the other hand I’m like “please, read my later stuff”.

I am not surprised that my Carry On and Check, Please! fics make up most of the list, since apart from Glee, those are the fandoms I’ve written the most for. Carry On has definitely taken over, though, so what I said for Glee also applies to Check, Please!: there are some fics that I probably really like but it’s been a while since I read them (*cough*Midnight confessions*cough*). But yeah as I mentioned, my most kudo’d Carry On fic is my first. I am not surprised that Mr. Grimm-Pitch and Mr. Snow is my second highest kudo’d one for that fandom, because I love that one, but I just love other fics more. But even then, if I look at my personal top 10 I do feel like all of them were well-received (apart from SJAEU, but I don’t expect it to get a lot of hits since it is super niche, and My rose-coloured boy which is in my eyes my most underappreciated fic in Carry On, like, come on, it’s only 891 words long!) and I always love it when people kudo and comment on my fics.

Mikey let's his die without noticing, only to be pissed to see it's dead when he needs it. Honestly impressive because his Nokia battery lasts a week at least. If he had a smartphone, he’d have games or other apps on it that’d kill his battery within a few hours. And if you told him to go charge it, he’d be like “I still have 5%, it’s fine.” You’ll have to drag him to the charger or take his phone from his hands, because once his phone died he’d be all pouty.

Clark doesn't need his phone that much. He'll hear you from everywhere and be there before you can even call him. If it’s an emergency or if you just wanted him to pick something up on the way home, he could hear it in your distressed gasp or disappointed sigh. But it is because of this that you need to remind him to charge his phone. To be completely honest, he doesn’t really like doing it because the buzzing of electricity is way too loud for him when he tries to sleep.

You're riding him. Panting. Your head thrown back in pleasure, your eyes closed. Feeling yourself getting closer and closer to the peak, you open your eyes and lean foreward to kiss him. Only to freeze mid-way.

His hair is just growing out of that horrible haircut that you hated to see on him. Fuck! you thank every hair deity there is - if there even is one - that it didn't destroy his beautiful curls that you love so much. But with his head in the fluffy pillow, his sweat-soaked hair looks like it's standing straight up.

"I can't," you pant, halting the movement of your hips. "I can't do this."

To say he's confused is an understatement. But he's even more concerned. "Are you okay, baby?" he says in a strained voice - he must have been close too. "Is something wrong?"

"Uhm..." To be honest, you feel bad. Bad that you ruined what had started to great. But you couldn't. You love him, but this hairstyle... it was a major turnoff, at least for you. "No...? It's just... fuck, it's so stupid."

He's drawing comforting circles on your hips with his thumbs. "C'mon, tell me."

You take a deep breath, letting the air out in a sigh. "It's your hair," you confess, "it reminded me of that godawful cut for your last movie. And I just... I mean... you know what it did to me."

You don't dare to meet his eyes, not even when you hear him chuckle.

"Alright then."

You yelp as he tosses you off him on the other side of the bed, pulling your hips up so you're in one of his favourite positions.

"Then we'll do it like this," he grunts, sliding back into you from behind.

A/N: neither beta'd or proofread, typos we're going down swingin'! This little drabble was inspired by @wolvesandhoundshowltogether and the picture she sent me of Geralt. Little note about the moodboard: it's only to give you an idea of the setting and overall mood, the reader is not described in my story.

The village square was bustling with life, already this early in the morning. The decorations had been already but up yesterday, children had watched the men work with wide eyes, asking their mothers how long now. "One more sleep," they had said, as you listened from your seat on the windowsill, a basket full of flowers next to you as you crafted your headpiece for the festival.

You had heard the excited talk of some girls too, as they went home from the tavern last night. "A bard! And he'll stay for tomorrow!" You were sure the whole village would dance until their feet were sore far into the next week.

As if suddenly waking from a trance, you push yourself up from the windowsill, where you watched the lively morning bustle, and rush over to your small closet, your dress for today already hanging on the door. The nicest dress you own, reserved for only weddings and well, village festivals. The shimmery skirt would catch the sunlight beautifully, you smile to yourself.

Not much later, you find yourself in the village square, browsing the stalls for a nice breakfast, a hard choice; the baker had gone overboard creating the most delicious pastries for today.

You keep on exploring, looking for your friends, a dance in your step, twirling from time to time to the song of the musicians playing at every corner. And then your hear him, the bard those girls had been gushing about last night. His voice luring you across the square towards the small makeshift but decorated stage like a siren song. You gaze up at him in awe, never had you heard a more beautiful voice.

You only snap out of your staring when you're rudely poked in the ribs.

"We've been looking for you everywhere!" your friend squeals and grabs you by the wrist. "Come on, let's go to the others! Let's dance!" She pulls you away, giggling.

The other girls shriek and hug when you reach them, before pulling you to dance. And you dance, twirling around to the bard's tunes with no care in the world.

- Third Person POV -

He doesn't know why she caught his eye the way she did. Maybe it was her dress, the shimmery skirt catching in the bright spring sun. Maybe it were the flowers weaved into her hair and into an intricate crown on her head. Or maybe it was her bright smile, the joy on her face and in her voice as she talked to the girls around her. He didn't know, but what he knew was that by merely watching her, his mood had lifted by a lot. She was sunshine incarnate.

When the bard told him about the festival in the village they'd pass, he was sceptical. He had no desire of staying at a place for longer than necessary. But he changed his mind so suddenly. When he saw her dancing, he was glad Jaskier somehow managed to talk him into staying.

This girl... A warm feeling bloomed in his chest and a small smile tugged at his lips as he watched her dance like only a careless girl from a village could. She doesn't know about the horrors of the wild and... At this moment, he was almost relieved. He doesn't know her. He probably wouldn't even talk to her for the duration of his stay, but he wanted to preserve her light at all costs. He wanted to protect her, care for her. Twirl her around the village square.

"No!" he scolded himself. Introducing himself to her would corrupt her innocence. She was the sun and he... he was a large dark cloud. His mere presence was a bad omen. His presence meant death, pain and violence. "To protect her, he must stay far away," he told himself. Even if it meant never seeing your beautiful smile again, which he found himself addicted to all of the sudden.

A small voice ripped him out of his thoughts.

"If that isn't the famous White Wolf!" she said. "I thought witchers were supposed to have no feelings, then why are you standing here with that smile on your face? I must say, it suits you."

His golden eyes focus on her, an inviting smile painted on her lips. He wants to respond, but nothing comes to mind.

"I figured you might be thirsty." She smiles up at the white haired witcher, and lifts her hand that holds a big tankard of ale.

"Thank you," he mutters, taking it from her. From you.

Shit! You weren't supposed to go to him. But maybe... Maybe he can have you and your light.

So, I was reading Spy x family manga (again) and I found this on chapter 58.3:

First of all, this chapter is hilarious 😂 They're obviously making fun of Twilight every time they bring Bondman. This time is no exception. Did you notice how Bondsman's love interests look like Yor, Nightfall, and Karen? And Bondman looks exactly like Twilight, of course. But what's interesting to me is this last panel:

Loid says: "How can this guy call himself a gentleman?!"

I'm totally overanalyzing this, but that's the fun of being a fan, right 😬? So, about this little declaration, I think it could be that either:

A) The man is a total hypocrite! After all the honey traps he's done he has zero right to talk or...

B) He is in total Dad/Loid mode and sort of forgot he does this too as a spy, or...

C) We've all been wrong about him and he's actually been a gentleman with all the women in his previous missions. Yes, yes, I know it's far-fetch and very unlikely, buuuuut not quite impossible. I mean, he's super respectful with Yor. What if this was actually the norm? We all assume he's slept with every woman involved in every mission, but wouldn't it be funny that in the end he has the same experience (in certain matters) as his wife?

Food for thought. I may me wrong, so let me know what you think 🤔

As someone who is married to a handsome man with a grumpy face, I can tell (by experience) that this man is not angry or even in full Twilight mode... he's just plain, good old fashioned NERVOUS 💗 to be feeding his wife 💓 Look, his heart is beating funny too 🤭

Did you notice Yor wasn't nervous with Yuri or Anya?? But she looks like this when her husband tried to feed her (it's okay, Yor, it happens to the best of us too 😆)

In conclusion, your honor, these two are crazy about each other...but are too dumb too realize it 😒

I thought about something really silly: everybody is crazy about Twilight/Loid Forger. The neighbors call him handsome, the nurses think he's handsome, Nightfall thinks he looks so handsome (when he glares 😉), even that envious colleague thinks he's a handsome man. The only person who has never thought or said a word about it is his own wife...🤣🤣🤣🤣

Have you noticed that there's usually a fake and a true Twiyor moment?

Yes, when we have a Twilight/Yor chapter, (usually) there's two moments—one when they appear to get closer (but they don't) and the other one when they really do get closer and there's actual development in their relationship.

Fake moment in general involves 'Twilight mode' and it's usually pretty exciting.

True moment always involves [Redacted] or Yor being themselves and it's more reserved and quiet.

Best study tip I learned recently

If you listen to music (without words) when you study mix in a few of your favorite songs (with words) when a song with words play give ur self a mental break and have a jam/dance party by yourself for a few minutes.

Makes studying way less stressful when you get to have fun randomly throughout your studies.

Fandoms: Primarily Skyrim, occasionally Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I am planning a Baldur’s Gate 3 long fic, though, as well as a Hobbit long fic!!

Most popular oneshot: I lost my heart on Voeld -- Where it's really f***in' cold (Mass Effect: Andromeda, Jaal x male Ryder). Well that really surprised me! It has 247 kudos which is more than most of my multichapter works. This really goes to show you that sometimes it really is all about writing a popular pairing in a fandom that’s hot at the time... I don’t even ship my Ryder with Jaal 😂 But I’m glad people liked it!

Most popular multichapter: The Slightly Tragic yet Very Inspiring Story of Casien Yedlin, Orphan, Scholar, and Mage No contest, I’m not even going to check to make sure. The first book in Casien’s story is without question the most popular thing I’ve written, ever. It has over 4,000 views and about 300 comments and kudos which, hey, for an OC-led fic written in first person for an old fandom isn’t half bad. Shoutout to Laurie’s fic, which has 327 comments BECAUSE MY READERS ARE AWESOOOME (but half as many views because it is the fourth book in a series and it’s an OC-led fic and it’s in first person and the main love interest is an obscure NPC 😂).

Actual worst part of writing: That’s tough. I’m going to go with self-doubt. The constant self-flagellation I do over worrying whether my writing is good enough and if anyone even really enjoys it (this is not based on logic or empirical evidence) is a constant drain on my psyche. I think that will always be part of writing for me. And it’s frustrating for a variety reasons, one of which is that it has literally ended friendships because apparently this trait of mine is so annoying people just can’t put up with me anymore. 😬

How you choose your titles: I don’t even think about a title until I’m literally posting the work on AO3. At that point I usually go for some reference to a poem, novel, or song. Otherwise the title might be a little self-deprecating and silly and probably some kind of play on words.

Do you outline: I do not.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?: I would like very much to write a Dragon Prince long fic, but I’m pretty confident I’ll never have the time to do so. The same goes for Horizon Zero Dawn. There just aren’t enough hours in the day, days in the year, years in my life. It takes me approximately 8-9 months to write a book, and as it is I need to drastically slow down that pace so I don’t burn out. I’m about to attempt to write three at once. I apologize to any potential readers in advance.

Also, let’s be honest: I want to write Casien forever. I just want to write basically every year of his life up until he croaks and goes to Sovngarde. This is unrealistic, though, and I’m already considering stopping the entire saga after Laurie’s story finishes. At some point I have to be strong and tell myself, enough is enough.

Callouts @ Me: There are tropes that I’m drawn to and that’s a simple fact that I don’t see changing anytime soon. I like to write in first person. I don’t know if this produces my best writing but it’s the most fun for me, and writing fanfiction has to be fun, first and foremost. My OCs are always going to be (loosely) boys, always elven or something similar. Call me out for that if you want, but I am surrounded by beautiful female OCs 👏👏 here and on AO3, so I really don’t see why I’m also not allowed to write my wish fulfilling self-inserts. My OC will always fall in love with a good, handsome man (probably with a beard). Probably older than him. I’m sorry. Shame on me. I am so soft over good, handsome men cherishing their beloveds. Disgusting, I know. Send me all the hate anons, I deserve it.

Best Writing Traits: Character voice, dialogue, point-of-view, friendship, and romance. 

Spicy Tangential Opinion: Fanfiction is inherently, radically subversive and there is no other medium like it. It’s marginalized people writing their own fantasies because no one else will. If you’re thinking about calling someone out because they don’t write fanfiction the way you think they should - don’t. When you do that, you belittle yourself and your community.

I see a slight issue role play.

Fitzroy is only smart in major plot point. This is because it’s Griffin. And because Clint misses beats he can’t really play Argo as smart as I would expect him to be.

This doesn’t take away from the story at all. And I need you all to learn that 😂 because it’s just interesting to note. But this is a MASSIVE STEP FOR CLINT so I’m very proud of him.

Regarding Trisha Paytas, it’s very clear to see they’re going through an episode triggered by their ongoing drama with Gabbi Hanna.

I know people don’t see the sign and think she’s be irrational and they are. HOWEVER, if you are truly reading their tweets. The issue is they feel isolated as if they are intruder in the Ethan/H3 family.

Trisha views themselves as just the talent and nothing more. It’s awkward being in a group setting and coming to terms you’ll never understand the inside jokes even if someone did take the time to explain them. I imagine Trisha is pushing nice people away because they’re not accustom to decent people. This is a REAL thing.

All I’m saying is please be kind to them. Because the instantly regret after destroying relationships only adds on to the spiral.

Now that Encanto is on Disney+. I’m going to say this has a Hispanic woman. If you are American and you ask “Why didn’t Bruno or Mirabel leave?” You DONT GET IT.

This whole AU of them leaving their family to be happier is THE AMERICAN MINDSET. You think they’ll be happier not being with their family???
