Woagh! 2 posts in 1 day! (Saying this like it’s not uncommon) but have my tma sona!!! These drawings are a month or 2 old but i’m finally posting them!!

This is just my sona from season 1-3 the progression of it n stuff, there were some sketches of 4 and 5 but i never finished them, idk if i will! But idk! We’ll see!

I’m wanna ramble a bit about my sona so if you wanna read it’s under the cut! Grahh

Got the idea from bestie @catattack08 to make it so i got hired at first for redesigning the institute logo, Because i’m a freelance artist, but then i started working on organizing physical files n caseloads on the shelves n stuff.

Hired me (mostly) because i had severe connections to a lot of entities, i had been touched by several throughout my lifetime :p

Nothing major happened to me through season 1 and 2 besides being kinda wary about john and probably agreeing that he murdered leitner in season 3.

So like- my sona story is involved with my friends a lot- and my friend was leaning towards john being innocent so managed to keep contact with him and we both went to georgies house to deliver some books, and i came with them to make sure they didn’t get murdered cuz i was still under the impression he murdered that guy.

John went out for a smoke, got kidnapped, i stepped outside to “have a word” with him abt what really went on and breekon and hope saw me, said “no witnesses” and dragged me along too, i have some drawings of that if anyones interested aaghh

When we were both together we had some time to connect and understand eachother (or as best we could) i was kept for the sake of extra skin in case john didn’t “fit” but anywayss- we bonded a lot and this is probably where i would’ve (in super canon) died, nikola kinda using me as a decoration for the ritual.

BUT i dont think abt that cuz i wanna see what happens if i live, so instead, micheal almost leaves me for dead until helen comes along and letting john and me pass through her door, we both make it back and i gain a lot more mutual respect and understanding for him, we’re both decently good friends now, then everything kinda moves forward from then on.

Until peter comes in, this is already getting long enough but long story short, i was used as a practice dummy for the lonely kinda, and i couldn’t kill em, so i got sent to super hell where martin found me. Talked me out of it, withhh the poowerrr of friendshipppp/j

Thennn i either go back home to @catattack08 orrr i stay and they come, and those have 2 different routes but grahhh idk if i should put it here, feel free to ask!

technically this one is more of a sona, but whatev. hes still an oc. the basic info about him hasn’t really changed. his species is still some sort of moth-ish thing, he still works under a merc company by handling their finances and stuff, etc etc. if anyone has any questions about him feel free to ask!! i always love answering questions about my ocs!!! :^D

I wrote the original paragraph I adapted into this comic? drawing thing in the middle of the night sometime last month though the original was uh certainly a lot less coherent. I hope I distilled everything down well enough to get my point across. It's clunky but it's done at least. Idk we made something nice here and it’s very special to me so yeah I did all this about it lmao

in staff answer they just said theyre planning to put rules in place that make you unable to remove features such as poc hair or trans scars on redesigns

And although i understand the sentiment...

Its not your character anymore. You do not have the right to tell others to not redesign a character you willingly gave away? It sucks, but you simply dont own the character anymore! If someone wants to remove the trans scars from the design that THEY NOW OWN, they should have every right to!

Besides, not having those scars or poc hair (what does that even mean anyway, poc can have straight hair too yknow) doesnt mean the character isnt trans or poc anymore.. am i the only one who finds this dumb

I saw that ask too and it really rubbed me the wrong way.

I remember seeing this discussed a little bit on some of the th drama blogs and people brought up some good points, heres a post that sums up my thoughts concisely, but of course im going to elaborate

first off, i think this is just another example of the community terras cultivates being very young and (for lack of a better term) very far into wokescold territory.

but more on the topic of actual designs, i think rules like this are a pretty strong overreach. If the design is out of your hands, then it's out of your hands. its like saying to a new owner "you HAVE to keep the character's backstory and personality" even after youve traded it away.

what if i wanted to make the character into a sona? i dont have top scars, so i want to remove them so the character can be true to myself

what if the character has had many owners and many redesigns? if one of those owners redesigned it to be fat, is it never allowed to be skinny again? what if the design is reverted to a previous form that WAS skinny? is that a breach of rules or is that a loophole?

i can definitely think of more examples, but you see where im going with this right

i think that young adopt makers have a hard lesson to learn that you can't force people to listen to you, and that once that character is out of your hands you have no bearing on it whatsoever. if they cant handle that, they shouldn't be making adopts and trading their designs. and if the day comes to pass that people can get blacklisted from the species for changing a character's physical appearance in any way, i hope the server members absolutely raise hell.

My Twitter was hacked and now a crypto punk uses it

So my old Twitter has been hacked and Twitter is doing nothing about it since I have tried everything and they did nothing and then asked me to rate their fixing of the problem they never fixed. The person that hacked my account is now advertising they scam, I mean crypto currency and they changed the email on the account so its gone. (Also the bastard had the nerve to hack me after I did a sona redesign, HOW FUCKIN DARE THEY!!)

New Twitter is handle is HatterTippy but Elon has fucked that site so much I feel it is a mute point since Twitter blue is coming in April 14th.

I was sad (and panicked) about my account on twitter being hacked all weekend then mad on Monday to wensday and now I am just kinda of numb. Even though my follower count is lower on tumblr (least compared to my old twitter) I do get more people liking and rebloging my stuff here than Twitter ever did and it makes me happy that people like my stuff, my Twitter has been great for interacting with my online friends and following indie games in development or games I like (obey me nightbringer I am hyped!!) but for me and having people look and interact with my stuff, it kinda sucks, like a lot I was lucky to get one or three likes on a piece of art and usually those were just my online pals (NOT THAT I DON'T LOVE AND APPRECIATE THEM LIKING AND RETWEETING) but here even if people don't follow me they like what I did and maybe they reblogged it so someone else can look and see what I made

That being said I have not been posting much art since 2023 started and the Pokémon mystery dungeon dnd game I am in has really motivated me to draw again (also my appletun art is my most liked art and I dunno if I should feel sad or happy about it)

I have a lot of personal reason for why I haven't been as active in drawing art as I would like (it's mainly the depression) but I wanna try to at least do one piece a month if I do more awesome you all get to see more art. I would like to post stuff about story concepts and charcter redesigns I have for games I wish I had the skills to make (I will one day maybe get through rpg maker' tutorial but there is too much chaos in my noggin to sit through it right now).

Anyways this post has gone on too long if you got through my huge ramble, thank you for reading you get a gold star I will hopefully be done my next piece in like a couple of weeks ish may try and make something for Easter.

I haven’t posted a lot of stuff publicly, let alone actually made things in general, and as far as writing goes I don’t have anything finished yet, but I used this opportunity to create a new art & writing blog (@echoing-creations) so I can hopefully start posting some WIPs and short snippets of stuff there from now on! ^^ Otherwise, I’m just gonna try my best to show what I have.

WRITING:

Again, I don’t really have anything posted or even finished yet (at least that I’m proud of). But I’ll share two WIPs/sneak peeks of the LU longfic that I’ve been working on these past couple of months. Because I’m pretty proud of some of the scenes that I have written so far! Unfortunately I’m limited in my choice of what I can include, because spoilers, but here’s what I’ve got. (They’re still very subject to change.)

- “Everything Goes Away” - Prologue

He was in control now. Not some selfish deity or petty goddess. For once, his destiny didn’t have to be set in stone. He could rewrite his story, re-weave the strings of fate. And it all started with a single thread.

- EGA - Chapter 3

A cacophony of sound broke out around them as the other heroes’ reactions grew muddled together and incoherent. All the while, Legend and Warriors didn’t move, didn’t blink. The world was a swirling vortex of noise around them, a raging whirlwind of confusion and betrayal, and the two heroes stood in the center of it all, the eye of a hurricane, frozen in time. Frantic colors and voices spun around them like a cyclone in motion, tasting of forgotten courage and broken promises.

But all storms came to an end. As the tempest of sound and color died down into a suffocating silence and the world stopped spinning and lulled to a halt, a single whisper rang out louder than a gunshot, piercing the air and finally forcing Legend to break eye contact with Warriors.

- BotW Link - Wow, the only thing on this list that I actually have a link for! This post never kicked off, which kinda sucks, because I can’t even begin to describe how ridiculously proud of it I was (and still am). It took me ages and I put in so much more effort than I thought I would going into it. But I don’t really mind that nobody saw it, because I love it and that’s all that matters! It was all a big experiment (particularly with drawing humans) but I’m very happy with the outcome :)

Ummm I’m not really that proud of anything else I’ve posted, and there’s a lot of stuff I’ve drawn that I’m not ready to share with people yet cause I’m kinda self conscious, BUT I do have a couple of drawings that I still really like!

- First one is a ref for a Warrior Cats OC that I’ve had for... ah, almost as long as I’ve been drawing, actually. She’s a favorite between my and my irl friend, and she’s gone through so many redesigns I can’t even keep track, lol. This is definitely my favorite design of her by far, though, and is probably gonna stick for quite a while.

- Second one is just a random doodle of my catsona. Honestly not much to say about it. It was done for my part of an animation meme collab for a friend’s birthday a while back, and I kept the drawing because I really liked how it turned out. I honestly kind of want to redraw it soon with an updated version of my sona’s design and use it as my tumblr icon? Maybe? 👀 I’ve been wanting draw my own banner for a while now, so maybe this can be part of my blog makeover, lol.

And that’s that! Not much, I know. I spent all evening trying to pull together scraps of stuff I could maybe share, but chickened out of showing most of it in the end. I’m kind of shocked at how little I actually created this year. I feel like my art has been at an all time low recently. I just haven’t really been drawing as much. Hopefully giving myself time and distance from it will help me to gather the motivation to pick it up again soon and be able to look at it without judging myself too harshly. As for my writing... I’ve definitely written more frequently this year than I have for a long time, even if I have nothing to show for it. I’ve been finding myself using my writing as an outlet a lot more recently than I did in the past, and I’ve been getting better at writing things down rather than just daydreaming them and letting the scenes float away into the void of my mind, lol.

2020 Art Purge

I had quite a few doodles that I didn’t end up posting ‘cause I ran out of room or they didn’t fit the theme or any number of reasons, so here they are now with a little ramble about what I remember about them

I had a few leftover Camp Camp doodles, especially from earlier on, thus why David can look a little funny and off-model. I very much wanted to see how he’d look in a suit, I got a few different chances to draw him so! I wanted to post the “Break the Cycle” one but never found the opportunity, it was something along the lines of breaking the cycle of abuse, from his relationship with Campbell and Max’s with his parents. And then a moody Max as well hehe, that one was in October so it was the most recent! Just wanted to draw an angry lad

Mostly fanfic or random ZEX doodles leftoever from SCII - DAX’s intimidating figure in one of the fics really stood out to me but I don’t know I fully captured just how freaked out he’d be. I remembering wanting to be very emotive with his pupil, both panicked and high off adrenaline and still maintaining just a bit of his aloofness, it’s hard! And the first draft of YIK throwing down a rope for ZEX from the pirate fic, I liked this one but it wasn’t energetic enough! A quick Captain from the sword fight (still so cool!), and a silly interaction of if Hayes shamed an openly xenophilic Captain lol. I really need to design a Captain myself so I can wander around being obnoxiously alien-loving on main lol

Around the same time smol and I made this beautiful idiot, she proposed the idea of trauma and generational traits affecting bending, which I was all for, and I made a cute little non-bender family with different dominant and recessive traits. They both live in the Earth kingdom, she’s a refugee and he’s been a resident for generations, and they met and fell in love, aw ♥ And then one more Mac n’ Cheese for the road because I drew him once in reaction to drawing the Solitaire crew and then never again

Unposted sona stuff mostly from the beginning of the year and then I posted the rest of it! Sometimes it was just a bad style day, sometimes it didn’t fit or would be very late (cough cough the Valentines’ Day one) or came off as weird (the spare murder was in reference to reading edgy stuff lol - considering I had just come off Put That Kid Down and the Vargas update hadn’t come out yet - phewf! I did get exactly what I asked for, that’s for sure) The daily pages one is especially funny to be because a) it’s true I still do but b) it was immediately before Bar’s redesign and his whole Deal™ changing, so it had to be left out for being too whimsical lol. The last one still makes me laugh, a happy version of “please anticipate my upcoming response”

More sonas! Oh and a Coffee, since he was the only other Just Desserts character to get left out. Well, I guess I had one of Kaiein too, but does he count? Ehh

It was a silly one at least lol.

There wasn’t a whole lot of unpublished AGE this year, or in general, but it’s a shame because they really turned out cute. I remember I was practicing PigPen when I made that Adara, and I just wanted to draw some pretty Zis while I was still working on the animation meme draft. What pretty ladies!

And a couple little doodles of the fantasy duo! They weren’t actually designed as a pair but I can’t stop, so hey why not have them live in the same world. Opal eyes still doesn’t have a name whoops, but their cute little tail pokes out the back of their robe! Lily is a good head and a half shorter, probably about to rib-height on an average human haha

Lots of little and/or original doodles! A lot of these are either original characters, random designs, or brainstorming - there’s the first ever doodle of Marionette! Nice. I also made that lady with the scars and cut sometime around Feb. 2019 but never posted her or her daughter, they are cute tho. The little night and day one was based on a little Insect-based RPG class system I was working on at the time, Butterflies and Moths being Paladins and Warlocks respectively

I’m so sad I didn’t get to post the wives earlier! I love my angels lads, they’re so cute. I went on a bit of an axolotl tangent, the scary one’s name is “J” lol. Lots of silly little things

I also made a bunch of extremely random fanart over the year lol, from Wilbur Soot to Smokey the Bear but On Fire which is a reference to something but I no longer remember what. There’s also Chiffon from Sir Fluff, a Wooper, Barold from the Villager makeover series, CORPSE Husband, ENA from Joel G, and some little Among Us blobs. Fun designs abound!

Here’s all of Hollow Knight OCs because I never post about the babies. All the designs are kind-of-final, except for Pail cuz I’m still not happy with his design. I might colour / line / redesign later but this what I’ve got right now.

A bit about the childs:

-Honey used to work in the Archive and knew Quirrel but they both spent time out of the kingdom and don’t remember each other well

-Lemonfly is my sona, so.. they’re just me, I guess...

-Synsa was once infected and survived. Also, her name isn’t her ‘original name’, you know, the Grimm Troupe and all that jazz. (My favourite design of the bunch, tbh)

-Pail’s personality is kind of a combination of Quirrel’s and Tiso’s, I didn’t mean for that to be the case, but oh well. Also Pail is almost completely white, so... that’s the joke... Pail... pale... I’ll leave

-Chip has to really stay out of trouble and not get hurt, hence why they don’t have a weapon, because they can’t focus soul. No one is quite sure how to heal them anyway, so everyone gotta be careful around them.

-Klos used to be named “the Small Knight” but do you even know how many goddamn vessel OCs have the same or similar names?? It’s a lot. They wield an unknown type of weapon

this is plum mascard and retorbra. plum is a fashion designer who lives in paris, and retorbra is her friend and one of her models. retorbra is actually my oldest oc, i made her all the way back in my sophomore year of highschool (which was... 2013. jesus christ)plum is in her 30s, and she has a girlfriend who i cant find my ref of right now :( shes from egpyt and shes in paris training to become a pastry chef (im really gonna have to find her ref again) retorbra also has a robot girlfriend named anaheim whos into boxing who i also cant find the ref of because i name my files stuff like “fsgfsddfsg.psd” because i think ahead

these are characters i made from emoji prompts that i ended up just loving to death. none of them are named (yet) but i adore them.

these are my two... sonas? yeah ill call them that. first one is just a nebula object head bc im a sucker for object heads, and the other is actually a species im working on thats a mix between a raccoon and a nudibranch. still figuring out a name for that species bc theres no real way to combine ‘raccoon’ and ‘nudibranch’ and make it sound organic.

and as a bonus heres my novakid oc from starbound. i got his name from the in-game randomizer. his name is gun. gun dioxide.

Redesigning myself yet again

Hello Tumblr. It’s been a while. I’ve been trying out new things. I was a Vtuber for a hot minute! I didn't reach affiliate and I ended up quitting but hey, I made friends doing it.

So I'm back on here, because I wanted a place for longer posts that wasn't twitlonger or Medium. Posts where I can ramble and make no sense. Posts without a character limit where I can just ramble on and on and on and on...you get where I'm going.

I've never been good at tumblr blogging. Perhaps that's because I always invested myself in other areas. Perhaps its because social media was something I always struggled with, until I decided to just have fun on twitter and not let myself get caught up in seriousposting and political clout farming.

So here I am, tumblr, redesigning and reinventing myself for the thousandth time. I'm a synth, now, and I love being one. I've had synth characters before, but my character design skills have improved over the years and I decided to give the species another try. And my I just say that I am smoking hot?

Desigining new sonas has always been a not quite guilty pleasure of mine, as I love the ability to imagine new versions of myself into being. But I wanna try sticking with this one for a while. I have lore for her and everything, and I'm even writing a self insert story around her. It's gonna be fun being the new me.
